Fantastic experience: Dr. Propes is excellent. He has high expectations and holds himself and his staff to those expectations. He recognizes the importance of what him and his staff do, and as a patient, I really appreciate that. Reesa is his Dental Assisstant, I believe, and she is amazing. She was so kind, down to Earth, and very professional. Jessica, the Dental Hygienist, was very nice, personable, and professional. Darlene was another dental hygienist (I believe) and she was so sweet and helped get the impressions done I needed for my crown. And lastly, Rhianna was the receptionist and she was super nice and hooked me up with a note since I took the day off of work. Merced Dental Spa is an amazing dental practice and I highly recommend them. I fully understand why my wife drives 2 hours to continue going to them. Fantastic experience: I cracked a crown and broke half of it off. Dr. Propes and his staff took X-Rays and checked the tooth and indicated I would need a crown. He and his staff inserted a temporary crown, took an image of my tooth and set me up with a followup appointment to insert the permanent crown. I was impressed with the professionalism of the staff and with the level of service I received. If you live in the Atwater/Merced area and are looking for a quality dental office, I would highly recommend the Dental Spa at Propes.

Fantastic experience: My four-year-old twins and I have been going to Merced Dental Spa for a few years now, and we’ve always had a great experience. The care we have received is truly top tier. The hygienist is always wonderful, and Dr. Propes is incredibly friendly and welcoming, especially with kids. One of my twins recently needed a small filling, and I was beyond impressed with how smoothly everything went. Dr. Propes explained each step to my son so there were no surprises, and he was able to relax with just laughing gas and his headphones on. He even gave thumbs-ups during the procedure and finished with no tears at all. I was so proud of my four-year-old, and even more grateful for the Dental Spa team’s gentle approach, efficiency, and excellent care. I can’t recommend Merced Dental Spa enough for both adults and kids

Fantastic experience: Dr. Propes is the best dentist I've ever gone to. All of the hygienists and front desk associates are friendly; communication is always great with them. The Dental Spa is always on time with my appointments and they make it clear that my time is important to them. Most of all, though, the quality of care is the best. Dr. Propes doesn't over-prescribe unnecessary treatments and he is very clear and proactive about the things that need to be taken care of. So far I have not had any significant pain during (or after) a procedure. 10/10 Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Took my kids to the Dental Spa and had the BEST experience. Dental hygienist Skylar was unbelievably patient and gentle—she explained every tool, used fun distractions, and turned a nervous visit into smiles. Zero tears, super thorough cleaning, and we left with sparkling smiles and a prize out of the prize box. Highly recommend for families!

Fantastic experience: I took my five year-old and four-year-old in for a cavity. They had each boy in and out within 20 minutes. They did a wonderful job of making the process sound like a game. As a mom I was giggling in my chair as two adults “chased the sugar bugs out” of their mouth. They listened immediately when he showed signs of discomfort. They have kind staff, a very clean office, a great electronic reminder system & clear billing system. I would highly recommend this dental office for a child or adult.

Negative experience: my girlfriend went here and she was so excited. she came back from the appointment and when i asked her how it went she wouldn’t elaborate with me. i initially shrugged it off thinking the appointment went fine and she’s booked in a couple weeks. when hours later she opened up to me and said she’s hurt and disappointed because they were totally and completely rude to her! they told her mean things- she said they were rude to her until they found out she had the insurance to cover the cost and their demeanor completely changed and they started acting somewhat decent. she’s going to be cancelling her appointment due to feeling unwelcome by the employees. do better!
