Fantastic experience: I’ve been a patient of Midtown Smiles for over a year! Dr. Watson and his team are phenomenal. Every time I walk in for an appointment, I am greeted with a warm welcome. Fantastic experience: I have been a patient of Midtown Smiles for over ten years now. The staff is friendly and kind. I just had some cosmetic work completed, Dr. Watson and his assistant Kayla were wonderful and made my smile great! Dr. Watson is attentive, takes time discussing the procedures and is very detailed oriented. He makes sure the patient is satisfied. Kayla makes sure patients are comfortable during the procedures. The Hygienist cleans my teeth throughly and makes recommendations on products that will keep my teeth healthy. Overall everyone has provided a great experience!

Fantastic experience: Everyone in the office is very friendly has a warm feeling and not cold like some Dentist or Doctor offices can. Montoya was my hygienist was very nice and did a great job. Dr Watson is a Great Dentist I have been a patient of his for several years now and can’t say enough good things about him. He is very friendly and always wants to make sure you are comfortable anytime he is working in your mouth I fully trust him.

Fantastic experience: It was wonderful to see all my friends at Midtown Smiles today. Coming there is like visiting family. The office was all beautifully decorated for Christmas. My appointment was with beautiful Brittany who gently cleaned my teeth while my hands were bathing in wonderfully scented parafin which left them fragrant and soft. Everyone was friendly and cordial. Dr. Taber was his usual friendly, happy self and the whole experience was akin to coming he after a long absence.

Fantastic experience: UPDATE AGAIN! (November 2025) We are SO thankful that we found Dr. Watson and Midtown Smiles when we moved to Nashville 4 years ago. They are THE BEST. More recently when I broke a tooth they took me right in. They take pride in the work they do and I've always been satisfied with the results.

Fantastic experience: I recently was examined and given a treatment plan by another dental office in Nashville who quoted me a price tag that was unfortunately way out of budget for me, so naturally I started shopping around for lower pricing in the area to decide where to go for a second opinion. I reached out to around 10 different offices with a detailed list of potential treatments I needed and explained my situation and Midtown Smiles was the only establishment that reached back out quickly with a clear and concise estimate for the treatment I needed without giving me the run around of “oh we can’t give you pricing until we see you in office.” I truly appreciated their willingness to help and price transparency which is harder to find than you might think. Give them a shot, they really seem to be for the patient’s best interest.

Fantastic experience: 04/25 Update Years later and many visits later still a great dentist. Natalie is the best and I always enjoy my visits. Highly recommend them. I was there for a cleaning and this was my first visit since leaving dentist due to move. Eatzell (sp) handled the cleaning and she was fantastic as was Dr. Watson through the exam and in reviewing all X-rays and mouth health. Modern equipment in a clean inviting environment. Glad I found them.

Fantastic experience: I haven't been to a dentist in 15 years so naturally I was really nervous about going. They made me feel welcome immediately, even being a few minutes late! Natalie was very sweet, funny and clearly knew what she was doing. I didn't feel judged or shamed for my not perfect teeth habits. Fantastic experience: I broke a crown the end of December and my dental office couldn’t see me . I called Midtown Smiles and they got me in immediately! The front office girls were very friendly and efficient . Dr Terry Watson and his assistant Jamie Wilhite prepped my tooth for a new crown and was able to put the new one on the next week before Xmas . I was able to enjoy the holidays! A big shout out to this office and all the staff! A great experience!

My temporary crown then dislodged on Christmas Day, and he came in that week (when the office was otherwise closed) to replace it for me. If I ever have a problem ex crown coming off/ TMJ bothering me and needing Botox they are very easy to get into and work with. Dr Watson also has done some wonder work on cosmetic crowns too. Fantastic experience: The best dental experience I’ve ever had. Natalie my Dental Hygienist was the absolute best, and honestly carried the experience. I would personally recommend that if you’re a new patient to entrust your first experience at Midtown Smiles with her and her expertise. The appointment process was also extremely professional and they reached out to me to ensure I was prepared for my appointment ahead of time without drowning me in notifications. A very modern set up even texting me with my approval to iron out any bumps. Dr. Watson was extremely knowledgeable and honest in his assessments and capped off the experience very well. The technology they brought to the appointment was impressive and blew my expectations out of the water. I didn’t realize how much I was missing out on going to other practices when it comes to dental care until after my appointment with Midtown Smiles. This is a 21st century dentist, with amazing staff, a great system, and ironically left me walking out smiling. I’m not someone who commonly goes to a dentist but I can safely say I’d go out of my way to travel to make sure I could return to this practice if I ever moved… that’s how great and professional they are. They truly deserve 6 out of 5 stars.

Negative experience: Went here for over a year and just got tired of it. Very rough teeth cleaning first of all, like they’re angry while they do it. But I also just kept having to pay for my teeth cleanings which should be covered by insurance. Seems that they always categorized part of it as a “dental exam” which isn’t covered apparently because every time I went I had to pay $30. Not going to break the bank but everyone else I’ve talked to with the same coverage as me says their cleaning is always covered. Anyway the staff let me know they’re “sorry I feel this way” so I guess it is what it is. I’ve decided to change dentists.

Negative experience: I wish they told me I was out of network. I went in for a cleaning and it cost me nearly $400. They also want to sell me an expensive dental appliance that my doctor discourages. I've never had to pay for an exam and cleaning with my insurance until I came here.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Terry Watson and staff are professional and a very friendly crew! I had ignored my smile for a few years and rarely smiled. Dr. Watson used non invasive veneers to repair all my upper teeth in a one day setting (after repairing old and damaged fillings the day before) with very minimal discomfort during or especially after the procedure. As a career salesman, this is a life changer for me!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Watson and his staff are phenomenal! Preparing for a wedding, he built and applied totally noninvasive veneers on my groom. This process was done in a single visit with very little discomfort. We are wedding ready, with teeth as white as the dress! Thanks so much Dr. Watson!

Negative experience: I filled out my pre-appointment survey honestly and noted the few very minor cosmetic issues with my teeth but never said I wanted to change any of it. The dentist tried to tell me I needed speech therapy and veneers because my "giant" tongue was causing my cosmetic issues and causing me to snore/have trouble breathing while lying down (I don't snore nor do I struggle to breathe when lying down). I was disappointed that they tried to sell me on veneers (even gave me a quote when I didn't want one) when I have perfectly healthy teeth. I would have brushed most of this off had I not spoken to another patient who said this dentist told them the exact same thing. It felt quite scammy which is unfortunate because this practice has great reviews. The rest of the staff, especially the hygienists, are excellent and very friendly.

Fantastic experience: I’m so used to uncomfortable dentist visits with rude staff who try to trick you and upsell you on everything. Not here. From the moment I walked in, the front desk staff were super kind. My hygienist (Natalie i think) was also super cool, very informative and communicative and just very nice to chat with! I thought she did a great job with my cleaning and x rays, effective and competent without hurting me. Dr. Terry Watson, the dentist, was also super kind and fun. Everyone should come here for their dental care!!

This was also the best dental routine procedure I’ve ever had. No pain or real discomfort. Thorough explanation when needed or not. I love this office.

Fantastic experience: I have had more than my fair share of numbing shots, and Dr. Watson gave me two of the least painful ones I have ever experienced! Jamie was also delightful; she was a wonderful combination of kind and informative throughout the whole process.

Negative experience: I’ve been a patient at Midtown since moving here in 2019. I live over 40 mins away but decided on Midtown because that’s where my boyfriend, now husband went. I’ve always had a very good experience but today was totally different. I had a different hygienist than I’ve had in the past and left not wanting to return. My hygienist began my cleaning with polishing my teeth, a step that has always been done at the end of the cleaning. She tried to make small talk but honestly it was a bit abrasive- questioning me a few times about not working & being a stay at home mom, asking me if I was still trying to get pregnant (I had my baby 5 months ago) as she told me there were notes in my account stating I was trying, even though I was pregnant at my last cleaning. She kept walking out of the room and trying to get me to commit to having a filling taken care of at todays appointment and pushing me to commit to a night guard which I’ve discussed over the years. At one point, she was eating or chewing on food, which I found odd. She then used the water pick on me and was very rough. She proceeded to aggressively pick and scrape at my gums and asked if I was breastfeeding because my gums were bleeding. I told her I was not and she blamed hormones, even though she was nicking my gums with the tool several times. She then very quickly and aggressively flossed my teeth. I have a lingual bar and she never flossed my lower teeth, only commented how tight they were. I’ve always had hygienist’s use a tool to thread behind the bar. The entire time she was asking a patient coordinator to come into the room and go over pricing for the night guard, while I was laying down having my teeth cleaned. I was told I would have to pay half before they would find out how much insurance would cover, which I was not comfortable doing. Dr. Watson was great as always and checked my teeth and we agreed to fix a filling on #15 and even advised that I not do impressions today but to do them after my filling, the opposite of what I was being talked into doing. At the end of my appointment, I was asked by the hygienist “do you need a toothbrush?” To which I replied yes, as I’ve always been given a toothbrush & toothpaste to leave with at any cleaning appointment I’ve been to. I did schedule my filling for a month out and made plans to do impressions for my night guard at that appointment. The entire time, I felt like I was being “sold” and pushed into booking other appointments and committing to the night guard. Totally different experience than I’ve ever had at my appointments the last few years. I’m reluctant to go back and will most likely just find a dentist closer to my house.

Fantastic experience: The staff here and Dr. Watson are incredible. They know how bad my anxiety is when it comes to dental work, and help me feel at ease (especially when I’ve had to come in quite a few times!) Always have such a nice greeting from the front desk. It it so great to have a place that is professional, knowledgeable but also helps you feel relaxed. Fantastic experience: I’ve changed dental office every year prior to coming to Midtown Smiles and it’s been 3years now. The staff and doctor are knowledgeable, skillful, and kind. Positive experience: Overall a great experience. I would have liked if the assistant or nurse or whatever would have used protective gear on me when taking X-rays though she chose not too which exposes me a little more to radiation. Overall very enjoyable except for that.

Fantastic experience: Having any type of dental work completed has always made me very anxious, and I typically procrastinate to the point of necessity. When I recently needed to get 2 crowns placed due to fractured teeth, Dr. Watson and his staff made the experience as pleasant and pain-free as possible. "Doc" is very knowledgeable, skilled and experienced, and it's obvious that he enjoys his work. He allayed my fears of getting a shot/drilling/etc., and I can honestly say that I barely even felt the Novocaine injection! He willingly did both crowns during the same visit, reducing the number of office visits required (and thus, further reducing my anxiety). I greatly appreciate the extra time and effort he took to ensure that my bite returned to normal. Dr. Watson has my confidence -- perhaps I won't procrastinate on any future dental work!

Fantastic experience: Going to the dentist is never really something you look forward to but my first time at Midtown Smiles was amazing. The staff was very personable and bubbly, kept everything light hearted and they even made me laugh a couple of times while I was in the appointment. Fantastic experience: I'm very impressed with Midtown Smiles. The office staff are very friendly when you enter, with warm greetings. My dental hygienist was also warm and friendly and thorough. The level of technology was impressive. They use a 3D image machine to get a great view of what is going on with your mouth (and even your sinus cavities). What impressed me the most was Dr. Watson's discovery of some dental issues that had been missed by my prior dentist. He gave my bite a thorough check and noticed that I had some back teeth meeting prematurely and that was messing up my teeth alignment in a way that would be very destructive over time. I was able to come back within a couple of weeks to get that corrected, and to get some fillings and bonding to improve my teeth. He even fixed a chip in my front tooth that others had attempted to fix a couple of times without success. He is very thorough, and I'm very impressed!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Terry Watson & his staff, from the front desk to the hygienist were all great & I hate going to the dentist. I had not been in many many & was very apprehensive about going. The staff made me feel comfortable & informed with every that was happening. I’m happy to be going to the dentist regularly again
