Fantastic experience: I have been putting off going to the dentist for years. I knew I needed a lot of work & just the thought of how much it will cost & the pain would give me bad anxiety. I finally decided to suck it up & go for a consultation. One of the best decisions I have made, this location is very professional, friendly & I wasn't pressured into anything. I was given several different options & they thoroughly went through all my options, costs of each one & will work with you on the financial part. Dr. Semma is great, he made sure I was comfortable & not in any pain, definitely the best dentist I have ever seen. The entire staff is great & very personable. I highly recommend Aspen Dental (Hall Rd, Sterling Hts) & Dr Semma!!!!

Negative experience: Had some problems. I scheduled an appointment for a cleaning, then arrived and was told that they had no hygienist working because it's Saturday so I couldn't have a cleaning done. I called sometime later on to reschedule the cleaning and was told no visits until next YEAR (It's currently July). I don't know why they ever let me come in at all. If you can't offer a service just say that over the phone! Staff are friendly and professional, but I don't like to have my time wasted.

Fantastic experience: I went in expecting a lot of bad news because it had been decades since I’d seen a dentist. I cannot tell you the relief I har walking out. Everyone was very friendly, very reassuring and very willing to answer all my questions and explain everything. They gave me several options and I was able to sign up for my first round of treatments that day ! Today was my follow up appointment and everyone was just as friendly and professional as last time. Shout out to McKenzie, Bas And Dr. Semma. I highly recommend this practice and the people who work here!

Negative experience: So I haven’t been to the dentist in a while and thought I’d go here being so close and convenient. When I made my appointment the lady was really nice but I had specified that i preferred a female dentist because I wouldn’t feel comfortable if it were a male and she said she would add that in the notes of my appointment but that I wouldn’t know until it got closer to the day. I was a little worried about it but I still planned to go. They called me a day before to confirm my appointment and asked if I had any questions so I asked again and she told me there are only two dentists and they’re both male. This left me kinda speechless because I don’t understand why I was lied to and given false hope in the beginning. Maybe she thought it wasn’t that serious of a request but I wouldn’t of brought it up at all if I didn’t care, so it would of been nice if they were more straight forward when I made the appointment instead of wasting my time. If they lie about small things just to get you to show up, what else might they lie about?

Fantastic experience: Mackenzie and Dr. Semma did an excellent job with my tooth ext. I was incredibly nervous going into the procedure and was bracing myself for the pain but they make me feel extremely comfortable and relaxed throughout the entire procedure. I was very thankful for them and the job that they did!

Fantastic experience: Aspen dental is who I choose when I went for implant dentures since my teeth were degrading from acidic genetics,they have truly been phenomenal,I was nervous about the procedure when they were going to pull my teeth and put the implants in and they gave me a script for an anti anxiety med which helped with it considering they don't put you under anesthesia for certain procedures and having them provide a solution to my nervousness was wonderful,they are also there for me for life for any and all alterations to my dentures for free which gives me even more confidence for having chosen them.

Fantastic experience: I had such an amazing experience with Dr. Daniel Nofar at Aspen Dental! From the moment I walked in, the entire staff made me feel welcomed and comfortable. Everyone was incredibly kind, professional, and efficient. Dr. Nofar took the time to explain everything clearly, answered all of my questions, and made sure I felt at ease throughout the entire appointment. You can truly tell he cares about his patients and takes pride in his work. The whole process was smooth, organized, and so easy to deal with, from scheduling to check-out. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I highly recommend Dr. Nofar and the team at Aspen Dental to anyone looking for exceptional dental care!

Fantastic experience: Absolutely the best dental care I've ever received. They had issues with my husband's insurance and they resolved it quite quickly and provided instructions as a falesafe if we recieve a bill. Furthermore, the actual dental care was comprehensive and presented without pressure or guilt. This establishment prides themselves on perfection. They make sure their job is very well done. I would recommend them to anyone! I have depression and social anxiety, nothing was triggering for me. Thank you guys so much! Im no longer scared to recieve the treatment I need.

Fantastic experience: I made my appt. for a routine visit, but the night before I broke a tooth. I updated the staff on the change to my visit and it turned out I needed a cap. The staff were very polite and got me in and out fast.

Fantastic experience: Semma is a 10/10 for me. Very efficient very professional and most importantly made sure that I was comfortable and not in pain through the entire 20 second procedure I’m serious Semma literally walked in, put the numbing syringes in, walked off, came back, took the tooth out then disappeared. Also Mileena, extremely professional and well spoken, if you ever have Mileena take you in, just know the rules are getting followed 100%.

Starting with the beautiful & helpful ladies getting you checked in, to the friendly techs that will take X-rays or situated in chair, and then the knowledgeable & friendly dentists that do the job well while also listening to patient. I’ve had a tooth pulled, cavities filled & a couple crowns done there. The work is great every time & always treated with care.

Fantastic experience: Aspen Dental is definitely the place to go to get your smile back, or any dental work you may need. I've been using them in Ft.Wayne IN and here in Sterling Hgts for several years. They do a great job and staff are very Friendly, and are all very professional. Love both Doctors, they know what their doing. Today I had a young lady Chunnell, she did a great job and was happy with her service. ❤

Negative experience: STAY AWAY from this money hungry business, and if you don't you will be going back a million times for adjustments. They will take good teeth out that don't need to be pulled and mess up what teeth you do have left!

Fantastic experience: The staff at Aspen Dental Hall Road is the absolute best. Chanel usually takes care of me, and I adore her. She is such a lovely, caring person! The entire staff goes out of their way to make you feel comfortable and welcome every visit. Even the doctors are down to earth and personable. They clearly care about their patients. My experience getting whole mouth implants was positive from start to finish, and I highly recommend this office to everyone. If you’ve ever had a bad experience with a dentist, this is the place to go to alleviate all your fear.

Fantastic experience: I have an uncontrollable fear of the dentist, embarrassingly so. However, today I was forced to seek dental work because I had an excruciatingly painful abscess on my tooth. From the very first moment I stepped into the building, I felt welcomed. Though, I was still quite nervous, until I meant Chonnell. I told her right away that I didn't want to be here. That I was scared but she assured me that I was in great hands, and that I didn't need to worry. She continued to assure me through the entire process. She is such a delightful and wonderful human being. Also, I must mention, she was right. I didn't need to worry. I am now pain free thanks to her and the rest of the staff. I would 1 million percent recommend this location.

Fantastic experience: I had an appointment today to adjust my temporary dentures that keep popping out of my mouth while I'm talking (so tired of people laughing). Chanel (My Savior) immediately knew what to do. I left with dentures in place and can actually talk without movement.. You ROCK Chanel....

Fantastic experience: Their services to my dental needs were performed quite efficiently. The repairs to my dentures were made quickly while I was in the office. In addition to the repairs, staff ensured that the teeth fit me properly after they were fixed and made any necessary adjustments. The whole process took less than 30 minutes.

Positive experience: Only annoying thing was being there for 6 hours, shouldn’t have taken that long, and the only complaint is every employee is on lunch from noon to one same time, so literally sat there for an hour which was a waste of my time

Fantastic experience: Honestly this is my first time ever going to Aspen to be honest never been there before I went to another dentist but had to find a new one now must I just say first moment walking in that door I was greeted with a warm welcoming smile from the ladies at the desk super kind also helped me out filling some forms out since I don’t see well than came to actually being checked and an examination they were so gentle on examining my teeth they were super understanding on what I was looking to get done assisted me in figuring out what needed to be done and even tho I didn't get nothing done today because of my insurance as soon as I get that sorted I already know which place I’m going right back too get my teeth cleaned and fixed 10/10 first time

Fantastic experience: Chris did a very great job on my bridge it seems my bite has been corrected and he went above and beyond to make sure that this bridge won't fall out again or crack and I just like to thank him

Negative experience: I'm not having a greatest time with Aspen dental my dentures have broken 4 times.. Bottom dental 3 times they had to remake the whole thing.. Now my top Denture has broken once.. I'm really beginning to wish I had gone somewhere else $22000 into this and really not happy.. Yes sure they fixed the dentures but it's a lot of inconvenience and not something I feel comfortable with anymore what if I'm out to eat and all of a sudden they break again.

Negative experience: Went in for an emergancy visit . They promosse no matter what to get me outta pain today . But before they would address the issue . They came up with a long list of things and not to mention . A propose cost of 15000 dollars . And just to address the area causing pain they wanted 3400 dollars or they would not do anything . Definitly felt like just a number to them .

Fantastic experience: I happened to google this place and it stood out to me because they open early on Tuesday and Wednesday. Which is so convenient for me because I work third shift. The women in the front were so nice!(and pretty might I add). I was a walk in and they got me in! Chris deserves a raise he was running around there doing a million jobs, but managed to still be friendly and down to earth. I need a lot of work done and they didn’t make me feel embarrassed or uncomfortable about everything I need done. They all had really good positive energy! I’ll see you guys soon!! . I had to come back and add to the review the Dr. here is beyond awesome! I had my second visit he did three different things and I was out of there pretty quick! His personality is top tier! Fantastic experience: I feel ready to talk about my experience and I cannot thank them enough for taking care of me and making my experience not only personable but understanding. (I am bad at names and cannot remember the names who helped me, but I can safely say everyone I have had an interaction with are great, have great smiles and have made me laugh.) My first appointment with them was to get my wisdom teeth removed. The doctor that came and did it was great alongside his assistant, I was so anxious, nervous all the above and they made my nerves better and explained everything thoroughly to me before I was put under. The procedure went great, I was hooked up with ibeprofen and medicated mouthwash, syringe, and explanations on everything, the do’s/dont’s etc. with the instructions I am 2 months post wisdom teeth and I had 0 complications. Plus I was able to get a doctor’s note which helped with my job wanting me back earlier than I was even ready to. My second appointment was for a gingivitis clean which happened 20 minutes ago when typing this. now I read/heard a lot of negative reviews and that they will diagnose gingivitis whenever and people described it as “money grabbing” and they go second opinions and the second opinions said they didn’t. (I will admit, I haven’t been to the dentist for 5 years and I actually looked in the mirror and I saw the hard buildup) expressed my concerns at checkout and they listened to me, didn’t judge me despite how much I felt like a jerk, and they ended up helping me out in the end and I honestly couldn’t believe it. They were so kind to me, so amazing, I am so thankful for them. I had no idea, but they hooked me up (it’s included with the gingi package) after my gingi clean and I got new toothbrush, water flosser, medicated mouthwash to help my gums, and new toothpaste. I am so thrilled with my experience here at Aspen Dental and I am glad that they have had great communication to me.

Fantastic experience: I had a real good experience today at Aspen Dental, matter of fact it was the best compared to my previous 2 visits in Sterling Heights. My Dental Hygienist today was fantastic, she did provided a great service in cleaning my teeth and made recommendations to improve my oral health. I hope when I return for my next cleaning that she will be available to continue providing the excellent service as she did today!

Negative experience: Money hungry organization. Went here to have a consultation done a while ago. (Approximately a year ago) And quoted me over $1,000 for a cleaning and told me I needed a root canal. I’ve been cavity free my entire life. Just recently had the opportunity to visit a different dentist who told me that I in fact did not have any cavities and I definitely DID NOT need a root canal. Please be aware before coming here that they will try and nickel and dime you.

Negative experience: The worse dentist ever all they care about is your money. They said the first visit is totally free but they charged my insurance and didn’t even provide the care that I need. I have been calling them since January to reverse the claim so the correct office can get pays for the service and here I am, the manager always says we are working on getting that taken care of but it’s been 7 months and the claim still has not been reversed. Never ever go to them. They’re thieves.

Negative experience: This is the worst dental office I’ve ever been to. I went get a check up and inquire about a wisdom teeth removal. The dentist looked around in my mouth for what felt like 30 seconds. Told me I was good for just a cleaning despite missing 2 obvious fillings that fell out on my bite surface. Then the billing lady tells me the dentist diagnosed me with gingivitis and it’s $600 for a treatment. I got a second opinion and my other dentist said I didint need what they wanted to charge me for. So I got it took off. I’ve asked them 3 times in 20 days to send my panoramic to my dentist. And I had to actually go there to find out they go through their IT department to do that and it takes 5-7 days to send a link that expires to my dentist. Now 20 something days later and my appointment is today and I have to pay 100$ for ANOTHER panoramic for literally no other reason than aspen failing to tell me the above information. They are nice and will work with you but the whole thing has been a headache and I’d honestly never go back here or recommend anyone deal with them.

Fantastic experience: Everyone I encountered at the Hall Rd office were wonderful. I had a tooth pulled and two implants placed by Dr Semma, assisted by Matthew, and everything went very well. I would definitely recommend this office!

Fantastic experience: I called the office because my dentures had fallen and broke in half. They got me in right away. So nice on the phone. It was fixed in minutes. I cannot tell you how worried I was about not having my dentures. That worry was just taken away from the minute they answered the phone. So glad I went to them to get my dentures. Plus it was still under warranty. Aspen dental is the best. I would recommend them to everyone.

Fantastic experience: Experience was great. Had an extraction, upper denture and lower partial, part of current bridge removed. it was a fast, painless procedure. I was very impressed with the speed and concern. All working out great so far.

Negative experience: I believe this dentist may be some type of franchise. I recently switched employers. I blame my employer, mostly, for having such terrible dental options. However, let me begin w/ my first visit here. I was told I was all set w/o seeing the dentist. I had to mention that I never saw the D.D.S. I was waiting for at least 20 mins. for him. After that initial visit, I was told my gingivitis was severe & needed some type of treatment. Of course, my insurance did not cover it. I said I didn’t want it, but was told that they would not proceed to see me b/c it would basically violate the Hippocratic Oath. I wrote a review about this & received a subsequent phone call a day later. I was told that I would be able to go in for a free cleaning. They stressed that this cleaning was free. When I arrived earlier today, I was told I owed $30. That was the last straw. They tried calling to get me to comeback. But, I don’t need a dentist trying to upsell me. Here’s my smile for reference:

Negative experience: Referred me out because they couldn’t numb a single tooth and completetely left me hanging. Refused to provide documentation until I threatened legal action. Wouldn’t give me antibiotics for an abscess unless I begged. Receptionist gave me medical advice. This place is a fast food chain with dental tools. Only giving 1 star because I can't give 0

Fantastic experience: From the moment I walked in the door I felt welcomed. The staff was extremely polite, punctual and professional. Not too mention very friendly as well. I was taken back right at my appointment time, so no waiting. I met with Dr. Semma and he was very thorough and provided detailed explanations as we went over my care. All in all, this was a great experience and I highly recommend this facility.

Negative experience: I asked MULTIPLE times if they take my insurance and they kept stringing me along then wait until AFTER my exam to even check and of course they don’t accept it so they wasted my time and theirs when they could have checked BEFORE my appointment. Also told me arrive 15 minutes early and no one was there.. I just sat in the parking lot waiting for them to open

Fantastic experience: My rating is based on my initial visit. I'll continue to update as my procedures follow. I was greeted promptly and I had a short wait to be seen. The assistant was excellent and once I had all x-rays completed I met with Dr Nofar. He reviewed my and covered my options and we created a plan. Anthony completed all of the estimates and reviewed pricing/costs. Everything went well. I called a couple hours later with additional questions. They were answered and I decided to proceed. This will take a few months and I will update as necessary. Edit-12-4-24 Extractions went well and I'm a month into using my temporary dentures. The appearance is awesome and look natural. Full upper, partial lower. Gums still healing. Upper comfortable and fits pretty well. Original lower never fit right from the get-go. Aspen agreed and rescanned my mouth and had a replacement made. I had that fitted yesterday and a significant improvement. At this point, it's just the wait for permanents in a few months. 5/20/25 edit : I now have my permanent uppers and after a redo of the first permanents (changed front tooth line angle) I'm very happy. The personnel have been great throughout the process and they have always responded to my questions and made necessary adjustments during my journey. It's been a long process but the final results are positive.

Negative experience: I came to this office for a root canal and used CareCredit to finance the procedure. I was told my remaining balance was around $618, and based on that information, I made my payments and the account was fully paid off. Recently, I was shocked to find out that a balance had been sent to collections—without my knowledge. I never received any statement, bill, or notification. When I contacted CareCredit, they informed me that the reason I wasn’t notified was because the dental office failed to provide a valid mailing address. This is incredibly frustrating considering you had my ID on file—how was my address not entered correctly? There was no communication, no accountability, and I was left dealing with the consequences of a mistake I wasn’t even aware of. Shame on this office for such negligence and lack of follow-through. If you care about accurate billing and clear communication, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: From the first phone call to the first visit, we've loved every employee we've encountered. Very calming atmosphere. Great prices. I have to say for the first time ever, I had zero pain during the numbing process and even after my procedure. It was a painless dentist visit! I'm still impressed, and extremely grateful.

Negative experience: I waited in the lobby for 45 minutes past my appointment time. I was not told by the scheduling center that my first visit was only an evaluation. I was under the impression I would get my cleaning same day. Then when trying to book a date to come back for the cleaning they had no appointments that accommodated my work schedule.

Positive experience: Radiologist, Doctor, sales very good. Reception did not check me in until others arrived. Then took everyone else ahead of me. Could have handed me tablet when I 1st arrived. Otherwise very good experience. Will return for several procedures.

Negative experience: I haven't answered your many texts and email, because my experience wasn't good. I felt pressured into having dentures which I didn;t come in for. I only wanted the teeth in my mouth fixed to stop scraping against both sides of my tongue.

Fantastic experience: First off, I’m 61 yo who definitely has anxiety with dental work due to prior experiences. I have to say I’ve been going here since my first visit in February. I am getting a few cavities filled a new bridge and an implant. The dr that is going the work is very professional and explains everything! He is always asking if I am ok while doing the procedures! I am beyond ecstatic with the way I have been treated as well as the work that has been completed thus far! Please go to Aspen dental… you won’t be disappointed! A big shout out to my favorite dentist: Dr Donovan Semma! He’s very up to date with new techniques and procedures!

Negative experience: Went to aspen dental on Feb 21st. Had a bad experience with. For the first time I felt the need to write a review. To inform how policies change from patient to patient based off idk the fact that I respectfully try to turn down the panoramic imaging because I know for a fact that my insurance wouldn't cover it. The office manager then tried to make me prepay for treatment before i can make an apt, because in her words I'm trying to not pay. I got more into how I was was treated and spoke to in the other review. I got a response from aspen with a number to call corporate. Called them and they forwarded me to the same person I had the original issue with. So she immediately got rude and disrespectful to me on the phone. Dropping f bombs. Told me she was going to let all aspens know not to take me as a client. Then at the end to told me to write a review on that. I still haven't heard back from corporate to discuss this matter. I need my file so I can take it to another dentist. Can/will someone help me. I need to get treatments done on my teeth a couple teeth pulled and I'm being left for what? It's my file.

Negative experience: The doctors there are wonderful and knowledgeable but support staff a lil uncomfortable! I just got my fake crowns in so will see in a couple of days. Just a heads up it gets kind of intense when it’s time to pay. I guess they’re not used to having people know what they signed for. The girl shared the price loudly and laughed but a rep already discussed the bill previously. All in all, an okay experience for the most part! Not outstanding but I do have faith in the doctors for now. Update: I won’t be returning due to unpleasant attitudes and snappy remarks. That male assistant needs to be wrote up! I do like my permanents though! If you’re someone from the hood who likes to argue or go “tick-for-tack” with people then you’ll love it here! The staff will probably feel more sincere to you. However, I do not want to “buddy buddy” with dental personnel.

Fantastic experience: I was happy with the care of received BUT BE PREPARED TO BE SPAMMED TO DEATH after your visit. It's so bad that I'm going to block texts and emails. Way to go driving patients away with your SPAM
