Fantastic experience: Everyone was very kind and professional. Ivan handled my x rays and took care of my cleaning as well as possible. Great place with lovely people.

Negative experience: (2 star so this can't be removed, in reality I would give 1 star) My experience with this clinic has been terrible. I went in for a routine visit, only to be told I have gum disease. They didn't tell me the stage or severity, just that I needed a deep cleaning and that they'd let me know when my insurance approved. They said it would take a week. That was a month ago, I've called 3 times and every time they say their systems are down. What kind of medical clinic allows their systems to be down for a month??? Further, what kind of medical clinic when said system has been down, doesn't just switch to doing things manually??? I regret choosing this clinic, I wish I had gone somewhere else.

Negative experience: HORRIBLE, DANGEROUS, LYING BUSINESS. This place has been judgmental and given me hell. Had 30 X-rays done on me because they were training someone and couldn't get it right. That was scary and is not good for health and they placed mouth piece wrong and cut side of my mouth. I kept getting attitude from the dental assistants. The man who was checking my gums started talking to me already about preparing to pay out of pocket like they assumed that my Medicaid wouldn't cover me then i waited a month to be told my insurance denied my deep cleaning for my gum disease. I called my insurance and was told that it wasn't enough detail sent from dentist so I called this dentist office back and asked what was sent and the woman gave me attitude and said she didn't send the notes or mentioned I'm diabetic. Having gum disease becomes a higher health risk for diabetics but she obviously has no knowledge and was her mistake that I was denied due to not sending my insurance the in detail notes so it seems like the mistake was purposeful and they already planned for me to pay 1000 dollars out of pocket. I asked if she could resend everything with detailed notes that she forgot and she said she is not aloud to send them to my insurance again that it's against policy so I have to appeal it which takes longer and just throwing me all around to get my health and gums right. She said I have to get renewal then go to them sign and grab all my detailed info about my gums and teeth to send it all to insurance etc. etc. this is unacceptable! No help or regards. They don't care about their patients just their money. UNACCEPTABLE!

Negative experience: 1 Star for the receptionist, The hygienist, dental assistant and doctor gets none. Went in for possible cavity on my wisdom tooth. For some reason the assistant thought that was funny saying I was talking about my molar. Like no girl I know what teeth I have and don't have maybe you should go back to school and learn the difference maybe be taught some bed side manners instead of laughing at patients. The hygienist obviously doesn't know how to read xrays (considered my Medicaid dentist found nothing wrong) and he is very rough. The doctor Hwong don't know if it's a cavity or gum abcess so referred me out to get my tooth pulled. Yes let's pull a possible good tooth. But thanks hopefully my referred doctor will treat me better and have more knowledge and schooling under thier belt then playing the guessing game. Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone

Fantastic experience: Had an appointment today waited for a while, at the end the visit was awesome, Dr Hwang took very good care of me and explained everything pretty good, i was scared at 1st! I would recommend this office 100%…

Negative experience: Not sure how they have great reviews, they worked really hard to get me in there and when I got in I was treated ok and got right into Imaging.... and then I sat for an hour with no one checking in , when I decided I had enough and was leaving the Dr. became available and the office manager informed me that I would have to pay for a cancelation even though I had Imaging done and signed the sign in sheet (that would be fraud) i guess they didnt like the fact that I had enough of waiting without someone telling me anything like the dr is with another patient should only take 10 minutes....and when I asked for copies of my Imaging they told me they would charge me $25 I asked to see the policy she told me to call the state board...I just wanted my teeth checked..

Fantastic experience: I have never felt so much love and kindness at this dentist office in Las Cruces. By far, this is the most loving dentist office in this city. Thank you Dr. Hwang and Brianna for your help! Along with the staff!

Negative experience: My friend went with her daughter to get a cavity filled and ahe wasn't aloud to go back with her You guys were very rude to her. I will never go back to your place of business.

Negative experience: There is nothing lower than one star, went for simple extraction and dr. couldn't do it. So was referred to Dr in elpaso. I wouldn't recommend them to my veterinarian if my dog had a bad tooth. Very incompetent!

Positive experience: They are one of the VERY few dental practices in town that accept Medicaid (hence why the rating isn’t lower than it is), but fair warning: they DO NOT have a grace period, so if you aren’t there at your appointment time on the dot, they make you reschedule your appointment. Very disappointed, will end up going elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: I was very pleased with how sweet and gentle the staff was. They are all very nice. I am extremely happy with them all.

Negative experience: I was referred to this office in an emergency and had the worst service! I was in need of a bridge repair and instead of doing a simple repair the dentist decided to give me a smaller bridge than I had before. The temporary bridge they put in cut the inside of my mouth so bad I was in tears. After they put the temporary bridge in they pulled the teeth on either side of the bridge. (That step should have been done before putting in the temp bridge) The perminate bridge was put in and everything seemed okay. Until one week later when I was on a cruise and the bridge broke! I went back once again to access dental and instead of replacing the bridge since it was under warranty they decided to charge my insurance (and me) more money by filling the gaps with dentures. The hygienist doing the scan on my mouth for the dentures shoved the wand/camera into my gums like she could move my jaw. When the dr tested the dentures she knocked the tooth she had left from the bridge loose. I WILL NEVER GO BACK HERE AND RECOMMENDED NO ONE ELSE GOES HERE.

Negative experience: Sat me down and took an hr to start and once they did they just rushed through everything and managed to find one cavity compared to 6 months ago when they found 2, how does one disappear without being fixed?? I had to constantly be moved because either computers didn’t work, tools weren’t there or some other reasons. Seemed like they could barely handle a normal check up and cleaning and they wanted me to trust them to handle more serious matters in the future

Fantastic experience: Dr. Hwang is now my forever dentist. She literally cured the dental PTSD that I had from dentists from the past. I've had them start cursing and throw instruments,( the first dentist I ever had in this area tried to work in my mouth with bloody gloves from a previous patient on - I've been through it and seen it all, I wish I would have known to be recording back then). I was at the point where even the sound of drills mixed with that sweet, minty, flouride smell of a dental office was enough to 'set me off' into a borderline panic attack. Long story short, her examination rooms have fresh light windows and a zen garden as the view from her dental chairs. She has such a deft and gentle hand her saying 'Are you doing okay?' in her soft, tinkly voice was so soothing, when she can tell by your body language that you're feeling any discomfort, really does help to sooth away any feelings of anxiety you might be feeling as a patient. The cosmetic work and partials she has done is amazing. Dr. Hwang is a very sweet , quiet storm and her staff help to steer the boat.Nice and kind especially once they get to know you. If you need a caring dentist where you can feel comfortable and confident as soon as you come in the door. Go here - the ratings speak for themselves.

Negative experience: Horrible, barely spoke English, wanted to cut my muscles loose from my lips. Had problems even taking an x ray. Quack if you ask me.

Fantastic experience: My crown replacement was perfect. I’ve had a dental implant as well. Dr. Hwang is super skilled, and the staff are fantastic! Celeste is an excellent dental hygienist. They keep my smile happy!

Negative experience: I highly don't recommend coming here. My family went here once, did not like the service. Now I'm every day, from their office or call center to make an appointment. I keep telling them to stop calling take me off the list, and this has been going on for over a year.

Fantastic experience: Everyone is very friendly and helpful and while no one enjoys the dentist they made sure to make me feel comfortable and less stressed. I highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: All staff is super friendly, doctors work with you if you don’t have insurance. They are awesome! Special thanks to Albert and the gentleman who assisted me through most of the process I forgot his name . Edit: Just went back for a wisdom tooth removal and it was the best experience I ever had. Did not feel a thing. Both my dentist and her assistant were amazing ♥️

Positive experience: Comparatively they outshine, other dentists. Their payment plan options are extremely helpful when having to have multiple procedures done. I would highly recommend them.

Moved back to las cruces and not being able to find a trustworthy, inexpensive dentist was hard to find until recommended by a family member to Access Dental. Will definitely recommend to other and family!

Fantastic experience: I had the best experience with this place. They were able to schedule me within 2 days of me reaching out to them. Dr. Hwang and the dental assistants were nice and prompt. They were all so understanding of my anxiety regarding my wisdom teeth. They definitely helped me feel better about seeking out dental care. I think I'm going to make them my primary dental care office while I'm a student at NMSU.

Negative experience: Bad service. Office staff lacks organization. Called to verify insurance and was told all was good. My son called to let them know he needed post root canal service and got an appointment. When he went in for appointment, staff could not find insurance and kept asking the reason he was there. Frustrating experience!

Fantastic experience: From my last experience to this one was a big change. The dental assistants here were so helpful, they made me feel at ease & explained everything so thoroughly. The doctor was gentle and did amazing work. I got a fill and was able to chew on that side within 3 hours after the appointment. Absolutely loved this place, I will be coming back for my cleanings!

Fantastic experience: As a first time patient, they were SO kind in working with my busy, hectic schedule. I had to reschedule my appointment more than twice and they were very considerate and professional. My son and I went for check-ups and cleanings and they were efficient, nice and knowledgeable in every aspect. I definitely recommend, especially if Sonoma Dental won't accept you as a patient over the age of 20!! I'm happy I moved my 5-member family and encouraging my family and friends to do the same. ❤️

The dentist explained things clearly and gave me peace of mind. Definitely recommend this office. And they accept Medicaid!

Fantastic experience: I’m not a big fan of going to the dentist based off past experiences so I had low expectations when coming in but wow was I blown away the staff is amazing ! Yvonne greeted me with such a nice greeting and a beautiful smile ! Followed with all the assistants all questions I had were answered, as soon as they started talking to me I felt more relaxed I also want to give a big big thank you to the Office Manager Albert for being very understanding with my anxiety he walked me through every step his Assistant was doing they are all so welcoming. I’ll definitely be telling my family members and friends about this dental office !

Fantastic experience: Was just seen at Access Dental and every part of my visit was absolutely amazing. I was immediately greeted at the door with a smile by Yvonne and Acacia! Who are both wonderful and why I stayed 30 after my appointment to talk to. Celeste was my hygienist and she was so personable and was very thorough with a light hand (that means she cleaned my teeth super good and no pain… yayaya!) Dr. Hwang was very informative and sweet. I love her gentle vibe and soft tone. Beautiful and clean office, very efficient and On my way out, I met the Office Manager Albert and I love how he stopped Me to greet me and ask how my visit was. I scheduled both of my boys for their next cleaning. What a great time! Amazing Customer service!

Albert made sure i was comfortable and went over with me what i was experiencing with my teeth. He also made sure to explain to the doctor what we went over. He was also very helpful explaining what the doctor wanted to do for me and was very patient and made sure to ask if I had any other questions.

Fantastic experience: My whole family goes here, all ages. The entire staff is awesome and they are very soft handed. The doctor is very fast and knowledgeable and staff helps each other like a symphony of Dentistry. Works with insurances. Love the building, Ask for a garden view room if possible.
