Dr. Martin was incredibly patient, gentle, and explained every step so I always knew what to expect. Even the little details, like placing a cotton ball under my protective glasses for extra comfort, showed how much she truly cares about her patients. The entire office has a calm, welcoming atmosphere. I highly recommend Dr. Martin and University Family Dental!

Negative experience: My friend went here, every aspect was horrible. They didn’t use her insurance to cover the check up, even though they said they accept her insurance. She has been regularly getting her teeth cleaned somewhere else, but when she wanted to get her teeth cleaned here they refused to do it unless she got a deep cleaning that she didn’t need. They were also trying to get her to do a bunch of other unnecessary things. Her experience was so bad even though they “accept” her insurance she won’t go back. My dad went here here before too and had a similar experience.

Fantastic experience: I’m giving University Family Dental 5 stars because the staff was friendly, professional, and made my visit very comfortable. My dental cleaning went great, and the hygienist was gentle, thorough, and explained everything clearly. Really appreciated the excellent care and welcoming atmosphere!

Dentist visits have always been, very unpleasant. But the staff truly lived up to the name, “Family”. Went in for an exam. Ended up leaving with an Invisalign appointment n two months. So didn’t see that coming. But that goes to the great warm an home feeling I got on my visit. See you all in a few months

Negative experience: Wish I could give ZERO stars. Honestly, very disappointing experience. It felt like they care more about MONEY than actually taking care of patients. Just be careful and double (even triple) check what they’re charging you. You might end up paying more than you should.

Fantastic experience: My hygienist was gentle in her approach of cleaning my teeth. I have a bone loss issue and she made sure not to apply undue pressure. Because I have genetic receding gum issues, she was mindful of covering all the surfaces of my teeth with floride.

Negative experience: I have been a patient here since 2014. In that time I have had 2 fillings fail around the 2 year mark. The office only guarantees work for 1 year. Composite filling should last 5 - 10 years. This is not a one off, this has happened to me with different fillings years apart. I cannot afford to pay for the same filling every two years because the quality of their work is neither good nor guaranteed. I know a lot of the reviews mention they are friendly. They are! I come here for dental work though, not a friend.

Negative experience: 0 stars. Today I was just made aware of some deceptive practices this office engages in. At my son’s last (final) appointment he was talking with the check out lady about how he was going home for the school break and made small talk about what he was going to do. Then yesterday he gets a random text saying he has an appointment so he calls/messages in to cancel the appointment because 1. He doesn’t know what it’s for because he was told he was done and 2. He didn’t make an appointment knowing he was gonna be back home for break. In speaking with them about this employee made (not patient) made appointment it came to my knowledge that there was a large credit balance on our account for months! So at the previous appointments there was a credit and they were still having us pay, for all of the months never got a phone call never a “oh you have a credit you don’t have to pay,” fast forward and putting two and two together, the lady saw the balance on the account, was told and talked to my son about how he was gonna be back home for break and made him an appointment he (didn’t make) wasn’t going to know about until he gets a text less than 24 hours before knowing he is going to have to call and cancel so it would eat up his credit balance that she didn’t tell him he had. Dishonesty and Deception is NOT a good look or a best practice. These practices have cost them (our family) 3 clients, we will not be back.

Dr. Kim Martin and her staff are Fantastic! I was lucky to have found her. I went in for implants and can honestly say...I love my new smile. The care I have received is "best in class." I can't see myself going anywhere else.

They displayed a genuine concern and worked together as a team to come to a conclusion and remedy which allowed for a positive experience on my part.

Fantastic experience: I can always get an appointment when I need one, sometimes via wait list. I never wait very long past my appointment time to be called back to the dental chair. They are gentle! I’ve seen multiple hygienists, and they are all sincerely concerned about doing a good job, listening to me, and being gentle! I get a quality exam.I’ve been a patient there for 12 years, it’s always good. Doctors Kim and Patti explain what’s going on, my options, we collaborate!

Fantastic experience: I have been a patient at University Family Dental since it first opened nearly 20 years ago. I have always been impressed by the service I have received, and today that sentiment was just reinforced again. Yesterday (Sunday), I cracked a crown. I called this morning when they opened and they were able to get me in by 8:30 to see the dentist, and get a temporary crown fitted. I'm happy to have all my dental needs taken care of by University Family Dental and can't recommend them enough to anyone looking for a dentist.

Fantastic experience: I received Botox injections for migraine & neck pain. During the consultation Dr Kimberly Martin spent time listening. She also imparted a lot of knowledge about the underlying causes of head and face pain. I was very impressed and will be transferring my care to her practice. By the way, in my case the Botox has already reduced my head and neck muscle pain ahead of schedule. It will take longer to know the impact upon migraines. This was a rather expensive out-of-pocket expense, but I can already say that it is helping - and worth the cost!
