Fantastic experience: An absolutely wonderful experience!! I called for a second opinion as our first was over 10k and not very thorough, nor did they explain anything to my son. Kelsey, the treatment coordinator, was amazing from my first phone call. She was so thorough over the phone and throughout our consultation appointment. Absolutely every question I had was answered, with explanation, and everything was explained directly to my son, which I lived! Dr. P came in to discuss our treatment planned and explained the best course of action to set up my son's adult teeth for success. I was so please and can't wait to see the progress on my son's teeth. Highly recommend thus beautiful office and wonderful team!!

The staff was all so friendly, welcoming, and non-judgemental. They made me feel comfortable and at ease. They were gentle and explained all of my options going forward with treatment plans for clear aligners, as well as began the ortho repair process for me. From the moment we first walked in for my children’s consultations, everyone has been incredibly welcoming and professional. What truly impressed is how everything is explained in a clear and understandable way, both to the parent and to the child. The child was a bit nervous about getting braces, but the staff were so kind and patient, and they really put the child at ease during our initial visit. Overall, the building was very nice and very clean. Great affordable options to choose from and they help you through the whole process! Definitely recommend this office!

Fantastic experience: My kids and I both have been through palatal expansion as well as braces with Dr. Richards and Dr. Piepenbrink. We couldn’t be happier with the service their team has given us along with the feeling of individual care we have felt! We are so grateful for their patience, showing up for us in the rare instance of needing emergent help and the rewards for my kids really help!!✨ I know it can get exhausting as a parent nudging our kids to do so many things and when/if it comes down to rubber bands it can feel like too much but stay vigilant parents—you got this!! I didn’t want to be wasting doctor’s time with my kid having to be ‘held hostage’ in braces. By reminding my son often he was able to form the habit of wearing them. It’s worth the struggle! The culture Dr. Richards has built in her practice has been carefully crafted and something I make up she refines mindfully. I am always impressed by how open to feedback everyone on the Quad City Orthodontics team is—meticulously making note of changes or improvements. Thank you for all you do!!

As an adult who has had previous orthodontic care in my teen years, my case is unique. Dr. Richards took the time to thoroughly explain all of the factors affecting my case, was patient in answering all of my questions, showed compassion for the complexity of what I was navigating, and exhibited true care in providing guidance that was specific to me, not wanting me to undergo any more treatment than was necessary to help remedy my issue. I highly recommend Quad City Orthodontics for young and old patients.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Richards is simply amazing, a perfectionist with an exquisitely detailed eye. My daughter started treatment two years ago with wonky crooked overlapping teeth and a bite that was way off, due to years of mouth breathing and an undiagnosed tongue tie. Today her teeth are beautifully aligned and her smile far exceeds anything we could have expected. We live almost an hour away in a town with multiple orthodontists and it's been well worth it to make the trek to the QC, if that tells you anything. If you're looking for orthodontic treatment, avoid any practice with the 'do whatever it takes to make it fit, including pulling healthy teeth' mentality. QC Orthodontics looks at the whole picture including airway because crooked teeth signal a narrow palate, which goes along with a narrow airway, mouth breathing, and other issues. Dr. P and the staff here are pretty great, too. 100% recommend this awesome practice!

Dr. Richards started by referring two of us to myofunctional therapy before starting orthodontic treatment. We've learned this was the best way to protect our future smiles and dental health. Dr. Richards and Dr. P go the extra mile to make sure we're taken care of (Dr. Richards just ordered me a different retainer to try to address tooth pain and Dr. P got my 8 year old a stress ball to squeeze when it hurt to get his expander out). We've been happy with our care and definitely recommend!
