Fantastic experience: I have been a patient of Dr. Austgen’s for years. My husband had throat cancer and went through chemotherapy and radiation. Her knowledge and understanding of his condition has been invaluable. Her staff is always welcoming and makes you feel like family. Shelby is the face of the practice with her knowledge of insurance and helping navigate financial information.

Fantastic experience: I had a crown on my lower left tooth today at Modern Roots Dental previously known as Austgen Dental. The experience was exceptional. What once took hours removing a tooth then returning a few weeks later to replace with crown, was all done in one day. It was painless and fit precise. Dr Austgen and Christian the dental assistant were efficient and professional. All the staff are so nice and proficient at their jobs. It is a great place to have any kind of dental work done. I highly recommend Modern Roots Dental.

Fantastic experience: Incredibly detailed and passionate staff and doctor. Every single cleaning at my other dentist hurt, but here they have a machine with warm water and it did not hurt at all. It was not expensive whatsoever. I would happily pay extra not to jump out of my chair in pain, but my insurance covered everything. I need 2 crowns, I've been putting off for a while now and they never made me feel bad or silly about my teeth. I feel so happy I finally found a place I can TRUST. I can't wait to bring the rest of my family here now that I've had my first visit.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Austgen and her staff are very knowledgeable and pleasant. Her staff go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. Dr. Austgen spends plenty of time with patients and ensures all questions are answered. Other than not having an automatic front door, this facility is very accommodating to people using wheelchairs. The exam rooms are large enough for a power wheelchair to fit (you have to transfer to their seat, though). There is accessible parking along the strip where they are located, but at the other end. Most times the access isles are blocked by cars parked half way over them. The staff there bought a portable ramp, made a sidewalk sign and put out cones to block off parking spots for me in front of their entrance for all my appointments. They did this on their own when realizing they had no accessible parking near their door. They don't have automatic door openers, but I can open them myself. If you need assistance tell the staff and they will get to know you quickly. The staff will know and be on the lookout for your arrival and awaiting you. The waiting area is pleasant and large enough, and the check out desk is lowered to seated hight which is nice for people using wheelchairs to see when paying for services and signing documents. The music in the facility is subtle and pleasant. It's actually warm in there unlike most offices that are freezing! They just got the ability to do inviseline out of their office, which I'm doing now. They also have a new pick fee way to clean your teeth. They stay up on all the new technologies and inventions. All of the staff are helpful and nice, and they are willing to work with you to ensure your needs are met. I highly recommend them for anyone who is looking for a dentist, or who is not happy with their current one (which sparked my change to Austgen Dental).

Fantastic experience: Once again I was very happy with my recent visit. Staff was very friendly. I have problems with a very dry mouth so the new equipment they use for cleaning teeth is a game changer in nearly removing all pain during cleanings.

So many options for people like me, I took advantage of a weighted blanket, lavender oil and headphones to listen to my own soothing music! I can’t say enough about this entire crew! Fantastic experience: I experienced so much anxiety around going to the dentist based on childhood traumas (metal teeter totters) and then poor experiences as adult with a provider who did not have great bedside manner. I avoided going for years, and finally gave Holly and her team a call after a friend recommended them. I felt at ease before I even walked in the door. Every person was calm and kind. Fantastic experience: I had my first appointment here after being with my family dentist my entire life. This dentist office made me feel so welcome, heard and I know they truly wanted to provide me the best service possible when it came to the health of my teeth. They reviewed a plan with me of different options and were very transparent on pricing/what insurance covers. They are very good about explaining what is going on during your visit. I would highly recommend this dentist to everyone!!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Austgen is the best. I broke off a part of my back tooth over the weekend. I have major dental anxiety. But she is kind, supportive, and understanding. The whole staff is!
Fantastic experience: Just had a wonderful cleaning today with Joanne. She was the exact person I needed to turn my morning around. I was having a tough day with my child’s allergies and who would’ve known but she could relate and really encourage me. My teeth look and feel great and so does my soul. Dr. Austgen worked in t into her schedule to fix a problem area I had with a crown popping off. What a wonderful relational team. I drive 60 minutes after dropping off my son to be watched so I can still go to Austgen. It’s worth it!
