Teeth cleanings with are efficient, complete, effective. Dr. Ortega himself always seems like he's in a good mood and is very friendly. I think he is an expert at fixing your teeth without inflicting pain. I would highly recommend this practice.

Fantastic experience: The care in this office is amazing. From the front office to the back, everyone is so welcoming and makes you feel genuinely cared for.

Fantastic experience: I was not a previous patient of theirs, so I wasn't expecting much when I called, but everyone was so nice. They were able to get me in within a few days. I don't have insurance and they were transparent with me and were able to give me prices before any work was done. They also offered financial options I could apply for. I was super nervous and everyone was really supportive. The assistant even offered to hold my hand. When it was decided I needed an extraction, they were able to do it same day and got everything done quick and easy. I will definitely be returning to them for any further work going forward.

Fantastic experience: 3/4/25 The hygienist was very good and very helpful. For the past several years I have been scheduled for cleanings only - or sometimes with xrays. but no one ever seemed to look at the xrays to follow up on problems revealed by the xrays. I think once i asked to be looked at - but it was preemptory - one minute - ending with the suggestion that i might be grinding my teeth because of a chipped tooth. This time the hygienist uncovered some serious problems - an exposed root - along with obvious problems: two crowns just came off and it was probably due to decay. So now i am a little overwhelmed with some very expensive work that needs to be done all at once. And of course I am going to have to stretch it out to be able to handle it.

Update: I’ve been going here a few years now, and I cannot stress enough how wonderful the whole office staff is. I have had to go in more times than I care to think about, and they have always been able to squeeze me in and work with me.

They are so attentive to my issues and make my dental visits almost pleasant, if that can be said about going to the dentist.Good experience there.After a few more visits, I still think all the staff there are great. Ortega is such a good and gentle dentist. Hopefully my dental needs will be minimal, but if needed, I feel very good about going there.

Positive experience: Whilst on holiday in the Ukiah area, a cap on my front tooth came loose. I was terribly upset, because I felt I looked dreadful, and because I could not eat. I called the surgery first thing on Monday morning, and the receptionist was sympathetic and helpful. I was fitted in on the same day, and my cap reattached quickly and efficiently.

Fantastic experience: Arianna is the best, I love getting my teeth cleaned by her.

Negative experience: My mom got charged around $250 for a cleaning. The doctor came in a poked around and charged an additional $125 for a moment of his time. This is a hardship. She is 85 and only wants the cleaning. We understand you have things you need to do, but charging elder patients like this is not appropriate. Most have fixed incomes like my mom, and do not make their month to month costs. This charge does not help them. Please consider giving elder patients either a deep discount of 50% or the option to opt out of the 2 minute doctor chat for $125.
