Fantastic experience: This dental office is like no other . They stand out for their warmth and professionalism. They are very caring and welcoming. They cover any questions or concerns you may have . Christie is the most caring dental hygienist i have ever met . I was able to discuss all of my concerns with her and she was so comforting. She did a wonderful job . Dr . Scott Barrix is wonderful . He explains everything very well and he does a great job. I was so comfortable the whole entire time during my appointment. They will forever be my dental office that I choose to go to. Hands down they are the best !

Fantastic experience: I was always afraid of going to the dentist ... not the cleaning part but anything that required numbing ... I have a severe phobia of needles. I have never had such a pain free experience as I did recently at the hands of Dr. Barrix! If you have a needle phobia like I do, I really recommend giving Dr. Barrix a try!

Negative experience: We use to have Dr. Scott who was amazing with the kids and had amazing bedside manner. I’m changing my rating based on my experience with Dr. Barrix. He made a comment “about my ex” referring to our parenting and the cost of dental work. He seems out of touch with the ACTUAL cost for the average family for dental work. He came off as rude and unprofessional and ultimately made us feel like we were failing as parents because of how much we make without even knowing us. He has poor bedside manner. He doesn’t even offer all the services we needed. We will be taking our children elsewhere. We do not recommend.

My teeth cleaning was thorough but gentle, and they always make sure I’m comfortable the whole time. It’s clear Dr. Barrix and his staff really care about their patients, and that makes all the difference. I love their conservative approach to dentistry and I always leave feeling taken care of (and with super clean teeth!). Highly recommend! :)

Positive experience: Not as good an experience as usual. No problem prepping for a crown, then waited an hour and half waiting on an issue with the milling machine. Couldn’t fix it so had temporary crown put on . Machine ready next day, temporary crown removed, and new crown on. I spent a total of 4.5 hours, they did apologize several times, but no discount on long procedure.

Fantastic experience: Renaissance Dental Group is an excellent, modern, conscientious dental practice. Our family has patronized this office for more than 20 years. When first moving over from another practice, the modern dentistry techniques were a big draw. Up-to-date methods have continued to improve the care they offer. At my last visit, the dental assistant spent an entire hour measuring, taking photos and x-rays, and providing an enamel enhancing treatment to my teeth. The amount of effort was impressivel. We feel like we have the best dental care available.

Fantastic experience: My family and I moved to Columbus less than a year ago so I have been searching for a new dentist luckily my mother has friends she works with at the hospital and they told her about Renaissance Dental. I called and the lady I talked to was very nice friendly and accommodating when it came to me getting an appointment. My first appointment I was nervous but the kindness of the staff put me st ease right away the dental hygienist who took my x-rays and did my initial exam was kind and knowledgeable. The dentist was friendly and him and the hygienist did an excellent job of explaining what the issues were and what needed to be done which was very important and calmed my anxiety a lot. I’m very happy and thrilled to have found such an amazing excellent dentist office.

Fantastic experience: I’m a new patient and had a great experience with Renaissance Dental. Dr. Barrix found two old fillings that needed to be replaced because decay was happening under them. I had one replaced at another location in the past and wasn’t looking forward to the prospect of having two done at once, but my concerns were unnecessary. Dr. Barrix and his staff made me extremely comfortable, explained each step of the process as they went through, and had both finished in less time than one replacement took at the other place. Plus, for the anesthesia Dr. Barrix doesn’t use that giant horse needle like other places do. It definitely made a huge difference in my comfort level. Overall a great experience.

Fantastic experience: I finally found a dentist that I like and trust. I initially went to see Dr. Scott Barrix to have a crown put onto my implant post. He explained everything very thoroughly and his attention to detail is impressive. After the implant crown work was completed, I continued to go back and have more work done. My teeth were stained from years of smoking. After I quit smoking I had Dr. Barrix do an in office whitening and the results were amazing. I also had him replace all of my old silver fillings with white fillings and had an old crown replaced from a root canal that I had done years ago. Dr. Barrix has brought my smile back to life and I don’t have even the smallest complaint about any of the work he has done.

He always explains the logic of what he’s doing and it always makes sense. He keeps up with new technology and uses it effectively. On several occasions he has managed the timing of needed work to minimize my out of pocket expenses. Plus, he has funny little quips to you relaxed during procedures. To repeat, highly recommended !

Fantastic experience: I went in for my regular six months appointment. The hygienist discovered one of my crowns was loose. Dr. Barrix quickly assessed The situation and suggested that he try to reclue the crown. He was sure to check for infection, and made sure the crown was OK to put in. Both were satisfactory and he did the procedure very quickly. Not only will this. Save me money but time spent as well. Dr. Barrix also has the latest equipment and my visits are always quick and painless. I recommend Dr. Barrix and his staff to everyone.
