They treated her like a princess from the moment we walked in until we left. She felt happy and confident the whole time. I also get my cleanings done here and am happy with the care I receive.

Fantastic experience: These sweet people!! I had avoided the dentist for years due to anxiety that started when I was a kid. Of course, after years without dental cleanings, I needed multiple cavities filled. From the moment you walk in, You are greeted by Alyssa and Marie, who are so sweet and kind and make you feel immediately at ease! Gabi is amazing and took me back and told me she was not going to leave my side and would make sure I was taken care of. She let me watch netflix on the overhead TV and put a blanket on me to keep me warm! She started the laughing gas and sweet Dr. Yarborough came in and got me numbed up…I’m a redhead so I react SUPER weird to any anesthesia, even local. I started feeling funny and Gabi immediately turned the laughing gas down. I was pain-free through the entire process. I winced once just because of a little sensitivity (not pain), and Dr. Yarborough saw, asked if it felt sensitive, and stopped what she was doing to numb me up more in that area and even told me “thank you for letting us know”. Gabi and Dr. Y were so sweet, so kind, and they communicated and let me know what they were doing before they did it. They constantly asked if I was okay, and even after Dr. Yarborough was done working on me, Gabi never left me alone. When walking out, Alyssa and Marie told me they were so proud of me for getting it done. How sweet and personable these sweet people are. When I was loopy on laughing gas, I told everyone I loved them. Well I’m not loopy anymore, and I do in fact love them all!

Fantastic experience: My first review was when I became a new patient at Peak Dental. Now, I can share how my first procedure went, as you can see the stars give it away for sure. Walking in, Ms. Alyssa and Ms. Marie welcomed me and got me checked in. Then Ms. Lacey came and brought me back. She had me take a seat and explained what was going to happen. The purple napkin and the sour jelly with some gauze. It was super easy, just having to let it sit on my tooth for a while. Then Doctor Yarborough came in and said good morning and talked about what was gonna happen before it did, but in a way that I could understand. Then it was time to have the poke, which, unfortunately, for me, is the worst part. Thankfully, this is a place with amazing people, where they don't see it as that; instead, they see it as someone being a brave person who's just really nervous. And they find ways to help people get through that, whether it's with silly air, with medicine, or in my case, with turning on the TV and having someone talk and hold my hands. And that's exactly what happened for me, Fuller House on the TV, and Ms. Gabby held my hands, and Ms. Lacey and Dr. Yarborough fixed my tooth; they all were telling me that I was doing a great job. She told me everything she was going to do, so there were no surprises, and before I knew it, I was done! Everybody was super supportive, kind, caring, and even with my tears. They helped me with my tooth. Ms. Marie was able to check me out up front, and I was on my way with a half crooked smile because my face was still asleep from it being fixed! Don't worry, it went back to normal. This isn't just a dentist's office. This is a dental family who really cares about their patients, even people like me. They take the time to help the butterfly jitters settle down, and they help you feel comfortable, confident, and brave, even if you are a little scared. The best part I walk out with an awesome smile. I don't ever remember being able to do that with any other dentist's office. The dental family here is beyond amazing!!!!

Not only is the dental work done being top notch, the entire staff there are as well. Follow-up, response time, accommodating, and attention to detail made me realize they care. Fantastic experience: Dr. Yarborough has done an excellent job of setting up this office near Peak, SC. Her staff are well trained, friendly, and experienced. I recently had to have a crown replaced. Dr. Yarborough completed the task efficiently and expeditiously. I was comfortable during the procedure, even though I also had to have a cavity filled at the same time. The crown is now in, and it fits perfectly. I highly recommend this practice for anyone looking for a new dentist.

Fantastic experience: I had the best dental experience of my life today at Peak Dental in Irmo. I went in with two badly broken wisdom teeth and severe throbbing pain, honestly expecting a miserable experience, but Dr. Yarborough and the entire staff took incredible care of me from start to finish. They got me comfortable quickly, explained everything clearly, and treated me with genuine kindness and professionalism the entire time. The extractions were far smoother and less stressful than I ever imagined they could be. You can tell when people truly care about what they do, and this office absolutely does. Fantastic experience: The staff was welcoming, warm, and compassionate about helping. I felt at ease while waiting surrounded by family photos! Dr. Yarborough was so kind and professional she fixed my initial problem and composed a plan to help me get my smile and confidence back . Fantastic experience: After a decade long battle with treatment resistant depression, my neglected smile was all that truly prevented me from getting my confidence back to live a fulfilling life. While my previous dentist provided excellent care, they had grown beyond their original family feel. It wasn’t the quality or care experience I wanted. I am a firm believer that strong women provide superior care and empathy in their patient bedside manner. Dr. Yarborough and her team were beyond helpful in financial planning, treatment plans, and just being true friends and family. This team is also efficient, if they find additional areas for specialist treatment or restoration; they make sure to make every effort to complete it during the current visit rather than immediately scheduling for a later date. Peak Dental and Implant Studio are a breath of fresh air in an often “corporate healthcare” landscape. They take the time to understand you and any factors that are hurdles in your treatment. If you want to be “Seen & Heard” for the smile you should have, these ladies are the bees knees !

Fantastic experience: I had a dental emergency and was referred here by my sister. The staff, was amazing, they got me in immediately and made sure I was not in pain. They were very thorough in making me comfortable, and explaining the treatment plan, and still allowing me to make my own decisions about my care. The whole staff was nice, the environment was friendly and professional, and you just could tell the atmosphere was good, and that means you don't have to worry about someone mad working in your mouth. lol. A special thank you to Alyssa, who was so caring and loving that she felt like a family member and made me feel so comfortable the first time I met her. That means so much and goes so far, especially when you are in such pain. I would highly suggest this practice if you are looking for a caring, but professional team and Dentist.

Fantastic experience: I am beyond pleased with the excellent dental care I have been receiving at Peak Dental in Irmo, SC! They have taken years of my dental fears away. During my recent visit getting a few cavities taken care of I mentioned a tooth seemed sharp(not one she was filling) she said "no problem, I can take care of that right now!" Fantastic experience: Is it possible to love a place even before walking in??? Hoping that my experience is just as delightful as every time I speak to Alyssa over the phone. I made my appointment at Peak Dental for a cleaning and since then I’d actually had to cancel because of something coming up but I’ve spoken to Alyssa twice now and she’s such a joy! She was so helpful in scheduling & rescheduling me, and offered me several dates to make sure I picked the right one that worked with my work schedule. If the doctors are even half as nice as the receptionists, I know I’m going to love coming in. Weird.. somehow I’m so excited to go to the dentist??? That’s a first!

They understood the anxieties I had regarding the procedure and walked me through the whole process. Fantastic experience: I can not say enough good things about the staff at Peak Dental! Going to the dentist give me anxiety until I white knuckle the arm rest going to get my teeth cleaned but the calming family atmosphere is slowly releasing that anxiety. I was there recently to get a tooth extracted and I was in pain the assistant allowed me to hold her hand to calm my nerves. My pain was relieved and I am contemplating getting implants. Fantastic experience: We are so thankful for this practice. They worked us in quickly when my child had a painful area in his mouth which was a huge blessing since we were new patients. We have seen Dr. Yarborough and Dr. Barney and they are both excellent and kind. The entire staff is warm and welcoming. Fantastic experience: After ten years of terrible experiences with dentists, I have found the perfect group. I had to get a new crown after some issues with other dentists and it was a fantastic experience. If I had known cleanings and crowns could be this seamless, I would have never missed a check up. Dr. Barney and the whole team are absolute top tier!

Positive experience: 7/24 UPDATE: admin staff has gone downhill. They all tell you something different and you never get a straight answer. Seems like they don’t even know their own policies / protocols. Just poor service on the front end. Switched Dentists because of an extremely shady experience with Irmo Smiles. Peak is at a very convenient location and they are very professional. They tell you UP FRONT what your insurance benefits are, and are very transparent. The front office is wonderful and I'm extremely happy with Peak.

Negative experience: Edit: reply to Dr.Yarborough's comment: I DID NOT suffer from any tooth sensitivity, which required that useless prescription you gave to me. There was no reason to prescribe that toothpaste at all. You, Dr.Yarborogh, didn't see a cavity in my tooth (which was fixed by a real professional in 30 minutes and now I don't have sensitivity in that tooth anymore). And you, Dr.Yarborogh, didn't see inflammation near root of my other tooth on the x-ray. And that problem has to be fixed by endodontist, and YOU as a general dentist has to set correct diagnosis and give me a referral to other specialist. You did nothing of that. Instead of that you gave me absolutely wrong useless prescription. You could make a mistake and don't see a problem in 1 tooth, but 2 teeth at the same time, seriously? People, stay away from this unprofessional dentist. I don't know HOW she gets so many positive reviews. Absolutely unprofessional dentist from ancient times. She couldn't even set a right diagnosis and was not able to read x-rays correctly. I came with two problematic teeth. She said that I simply have a high level of sensitivity... She sold me toothpaste for $20. Likely enough, I had the opportunity to go overseas, where they made a 3D CT scan, found a cavity in my tooth, and fixed it in 30 min. Another tooth had an inflammation, which was obviously seen on images. I had about the same experience with 4 other dentists in Chapin-Irmo-Columbia area. All of them are just trying to sell me something, like Dr. Yarborough sold me that uselesstoothpaste. I wonder if dentists are getting their diplomas on-line now? If you want to keep your teeth, don't go to this practice.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Yarborough pays attention to details! She wants you to love your teeth and takes the time to make sure your mouth is healthy. Her staff is very friendly and makes the setting more relaxed! I've been ery satisfied with their care!

Fantastic experience: I cracked a crown Thursday evening thankfully no pain due to a previous root canal however I was worried about going into the weekend without some resolution. I called my dentist office at 8:00 on a FRIDAY and was seen at 1:30 same day. An implant is the course of treatment and I am so grateful for Dr. Yarborough I have extreme dental anxiety and I know in her hands I will do just fine.

Fantastic experience: I had a toothache develop the last couple of days while on a cruise. As soon as the ship reached port I called Peak Dental (my dentist) for an emergency appointment (the toothache and swelling were getting worse). Peak worked me in immediately. It took a root canal to fix the issue. Surprisingly the procedure was not uncomfortable, and it resolved my pain and swelling almost instantly. Recovery was quick, and I have been 100% pain free ever since. Huge shout out to Peak Dental, and Dr Yarborough specifically, for treating my issue with urgency and with actual care. Thank you!!

Fantastic experience: Very nice place ! I love the staff so much, they made me feel very welcomed. I had a gray tooth for 10 years from a bad root canal and it made me insecure about my smile. Thankfully, the lead dentist helped fix it and now I love my smile :). I’ll definitely come back.

Fantastic experience: I can’t say enough about the outstanding care I received at Peak Dental. Above and beyond doesn’t begin to describe my experience with Dr. Yarborough and her team. Last week right before needing to leave town to visit family, I had a cracked tooth turn into a completely split tooth all the way to the pulp. I had planned to try to tough it out and travel, but once Dr. Yarborough learned about my tooth, she went out of her way to not only schedule an exam and emergency extraction, but she actually opened her practice to attend to me. As a medical clinician myself all I can say is that I have never experienced such compassion, thoughtfulness, and duty of care before. Dr Yarborough and her team are truly transcending the standard in dental patient care. Fantastic experience: We switched dentists recently and Dr. Yarborough was very highly recommended by many friends and neighbors. My cleaning went great and when I mentioned pain I’ve had in a tooth for quite some time, she saw in the X-ray that I need a root canal. She can do this! I’m not being sent to multiple specialists. This is a big change from my previous dentists. The staff is friendly and knowledgable.

Fantastic experience: I am very pleased with the service I received at Peak Dental. I chipped my front tooth and needed a repair. I contacted Peak Dental and Dr. Yarborough saw me immediately even though I wasn’t a patient of hers. She put veneers on my front teeth, and the first set was not quite as white as my natural teeth. No one would even notice except for myself; however, Gretchen worked closely with the lab to make a new set that would be a better match to my natural teeth. It was a challenge as my teeth are naturally very white, but with good communication with the lab she made it happen! I cannot thank her enough for doing an awesome job! Her staff is great as well! Very friendly and kind.

Fantastic experience: I needed a crown recently, and after scheduling the appointment, learned I had to be on a call an hour after the start of the appointment. After making the team aware, they worked diligently to make sure I could be on the call, without ever making it feel rushed. I made the call with 5 minutes to spare! They were caring and careful, and made the process easy! Highly recommend this team!

Fantastic experience: I initially found out about Peak Dental on social media and I loved how creative, informative, and innovative the staff is on their social media and in person as well! I absolutely loved the staff and Dr.Yarbororough! They made me feel so welcome and I loved the ambiance of the office itself too. The assistants, Katie and Alyssa did an amazing job helping Dr. Yarborough with my composite fillings and they turned out so so well. The hygienist, Brooke was so relatable and she gave me such informative information about their in house whitening which I would love to get done next! Overall, I would recommend everyone to come here for their oral healthcare because of how great the team is! 10/10

Fantastic experience: My 89 year old father was recently treated for problems with his dentures. They were so patient and professional that he decided to get new dentures. The office environment and kindness of the staff was wonderful.

Fantastic experience: Let’s start off with how clean their office is! The staff at Peak Dental are all amazing! Everyone greets you with a warm smile and ensures that you have the best visit possible. I am currently 6 days post Root Canal, Wisdom Tooth Extraction and 3 Fillings all on the Right side. *chefs kiss* Peak Dental made sure I was comfortable and relaxed for my procedure since I’ve have very bad experiences prior to their care. I highly recommend you going with this office! Wait time is also excellent! I live 40 minutes away from the office, but wouldn’t change them for anyone!

Negative experience: I recently went in because I broke a tooth. I found the dentist very pushy with wanting to fix it by placing a crown on it, after I explained to her I was stage IV cancer. I get that you want to do the best dentistry but a little empathy and other solutions would of been a better approach. Be kind.

Fantastic experience: Just wanted to thank your staff and you for being the absolute best . My tooth chipped to the point it was visible and it’s my bday weekend . They temporarily fixed it and when I walked out the room I believe it’s Alyssa she had a cupcake with candles lit for me that made my entire day . You guys seriously are amazing and I couldn’t imagine being anywhere else then with peak dental !!

Fantastic experience: I couldn’t be more happy and grateful for Dr. Gretchen Yarborough. She does an amazing job. She’s the best dentist I’ve ever encountered, and her team went above and beyond to make me comfortable. Definitely trustworthy. I let my teeth get bad out of fear and I needed work done on just about every tooth. I had severe dental anxiety my whole life and all that went away when I met Dr. Yarbourgh. Not only did she take great care of me but she took care of all my fillings in one visit. I can’t say nothing but great things about Peak Dental. I’ll never go anywhere else.

Fantastic experience: I'll admit that I have quite a bit of dental anxiety and had managed to neglect my own dental care for quite some time. When it got to the point that I could wait no longer, I looked for reviews and Peak Dental came up as a recommendation over and over again. I had a GREAT experience in the office- warm and inviting atmosphere and probably the friendliest staff I've encountered in a medical setting. My fears were alleviated and the cleaning and procedure I had been needing was a breeze. Dr Yarborough was incredibly kind and professional. She did an amazing job. Highly recommended!

Negative experience: This practice came highly recommended to me by an acquaintance. Unfortunately, we had a negative experience. Our fist appointment there was myself and my 2 children for a cleaning all on the same day. They took us all back to a room at the same time and started on one of my children. Then, less than 5 min later, they came and took me to another room for my cleaning. I assumed that I would be able to stay in the room while my childrens’ teeth were cleaned. I did not appreciate not being in the same room as my kids, so that I could be aware of what was being done and how their cleaning went. When they finished with my kids, I had to ask if everything with their teeth was okay. After the appointment, I found out from one of my children that fluoride treatment was done to both of them, and no one at the office asked for my permission first before doing the fluoride. I think the fluoride treatment should be up to the parent to decide. In the least, I expected them to give me the courtesy of asking my permission first. In my experience in the past, dentists have always asked my permission before doing fluoride treatment on my kids. So, I was highly disappointed to find out they did the fluoride treatment on my kids without asking me first. If they had asked, I would’ve told them no. In addition to this, I find out days after the appointment that an x ray was done on one of my children, but not the other. Both of them were due for x rays. Of course, I was not aware that the X-ray was not done because they pulled me out of the room while they were treating my kids. Again, I really had no idea what treatment was being done to my children while we were there. When I called back after the appointment to ask why x rays has not been done on my child, they told me that they should’ve been done, and could not offer me an explanation as to why they weren’t done. She did not offer to try to make it right. They did apologize, but by this point, I was so frustrated with the lack of professionalism with this practice that I had already decided to not return to them.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic & caring dentist. Clean facility. Helpful staff. Doctor Yarborough treats each patient so kindly. It’s definitely NOT a conveyer belt line like other dentists in the area. She takes her time with each patient. Highly recommend.

Negative experience: STEER CLEAR !!! Worst dentist ever. She is very snippy and arrogant. She was not only rude to me, but is very disrespectful to her staff as well. I always felt rushed and like an ATM. Make sure you check your insurance to see if your claim was filed correctly. They over charge and don’t refund over payments.

Fantastic experience: All 3 of my boys have been to see Dr. Yarborough in the past few months. If you're looking for a great Dr and staff to take care of your kiddos, look no further. They are calm, patient, fun and most importantly when working with children, they are gentle and quick. When my oldest son came home to tell dad about his cavities being filled, he asked if he got a shot and he said no. But, he totally did, he just didn't realize it, they are THAT good! Fantastic experience: I walked into the office to see if I could get an appt. Front office staff was able to get me an appointment the next day. Once I got there I didn't have to wait at all. Walked straight to the back, got my Xrays taken chit chatted with the ladies for a min, told them how much I hated getting dental work done, how it messes with my anxiety real bad. Well these little Dental Angels were really listening to me. They really "Mama Beared Me" And I am so appreciative of the comfort that was provided. From Alyssa holding my hand during the procedure to Kayla putting a weighted blanket on me to Dr Gretchen Yarborough's gentle touch as she quickly, and painlessly extracted my teeth. I was literally in the chair for 15 mins tops. Y'all had me prescription ready to go before I could sit up and take the laughing gas mask off. You ladies are truly appreciated❤️ I highly recommend Peak Dental!!!!

Fantastic experience: Such a great experience! New to the state. Did not have a dentist when my tooth broke. Took me in early the next day! Very gentle and quick! Made appointment for my regular check up! Another great job! No waiting too long in the waiting area! Had a filling fall out a day before going on vacation. Called an hour before they close and said we can see you first thing in the morning. I said I am leaving for vacation. They said can you come right in? I said yes. This was at 2pm in the afternoon! An hour before they close! Fixed me up quick and was able to enjoy my vacation with out any teeth worries. Highly recommend. Dr Pawloski, the hygienists and staff are great.

Negative experience: Went here for 3 times. Third time was told had a small cavity and the Dentist did not even look in my mouth. They went to tell me how much I would owe and made the appt but cancelled. Went to a new Dentist. THERE WAS NO CAVITY. Concerned that it is all about the money and they love to discuss your insurance and how much it will pay. Glad I found a dentist who looked in my mouth rather than just X-rays

The entire staff is absolutely amazing! Indeed, they are by far the most professional well trained, courteous staff I have encountered. Not to mention they are very prompt in providing your services minutes away from your scheduled time. Dr. Gretchen Yarborough, you and your staff are the epitome of excellence and have mastered the art of stellar customer service. My Hygienist (Brooke) is hands down the best hygienist I've ever had. Fantastic experience: Gentle Available Fun! Peak Dental has many wonderful qualities: their gentle technique, their availability and their fun atmosphere are the most important to my family. When a large filling came off my tooth, the nerve was exposed causing much pain and discomfort. Peak Dental fixed my tooth within a couple of hours of calling them. The procedure was painless and surprisingly comfortable. Our kids love their dental appointments, because Dr. Yarborough has created a fun-loving culture among her staff. They create a joyful experience that leaves our family happier and healthier with each visit. We particularly enjoy our visits during holidays as they decorate and dress up fully embracing the spirit of each holiday.

Her team got me in that day and resolved any issues I had with kindness and grace. I immediately switched my entire family over and we all feel valued and are heard when we go. Fantastic experience: My husband and I moved from Kansas about a year ago and were hesitant about trying a new dentist. We found Peak Dental and scheduled a cleaning. From the beginning they were very personable and knowledgeable. The appointment went smoothly from check in to check out and all the employees were helpful and friendly. We both ended up needing to go back for follow up work, and they let me sit with my husband for his procedure since he was nervous. Definitely an added bonus that the whole staff was dressed up for the holidays (Christmas and Valentine's Day) for both our appointments. It added a fun spirit to the office. We could tell everyone truly enjoys working there and it shows in their patient interaction and their work. Highly recommend Peak Dental!

Fantastic experience: I'll never be able to say enough good things about this team. I'm someone who has never had the best teeth, and has always had a hard time getting the courage up to go to the dentist to actually deal with it. I have NEVER been more comfortable in a dentist's chair than I am at Peak. This team listens to you and you can tell that they genuinely care not only about your teeth and your health, but also you as a person. My first appointment with Dr. G I cried because I was so embarrassed about the state my teeth were in, but they never once made me feel like it was something to be ashamed of. I got in there, we made a plan, and we made it happen and now I am so unbelievably proud to show off my smile thanks to them. I will forever be so grateful for both the work they've done on my teeth and the environment they've created in their office. These ladies feel like family at this point, and if you're looking for a new dentist office to go to - Peak is where it's at.

Fantastic experience: When I started going to peak dental I hated going to the dentist. I honestly don’t think I would have gone if I hadn’t chipped my tooth. Everyone made me feel welcomed and didn’t make me feel bad for how bad my anxiety was during the first few appointments. I could not go to a dentist alone until I came here. I now drive 7 hours just for my cleaning, I do not see that changing anytime soon. Everyone is amazing and super friendly.

During our time with Dr. Yarborough we've had routine cleanings, two wisdom teeth extractions (a third in the near future), a handful of fillings, and a crown. Each and every experience has exceeded our expectations as the entire staff, from patient care coordinator to office manager and dental hygienists to physician, are warm, welcoming, personable, and professional. The quality of care and attention to detail are above and beyond what we would have received at a bigger, busier office. We love and appreciate that we aren't just a number and our conversations pickup right where they left off 6 months before.
