Negative experience: Doctor didnt care to show up for the whole hour. My appointment for a crown was at 1:40pm I got tired of waiting and left at 2:45pm without being seen by a doctor. What a trash place. Receptionist was a nice woman though

Fantastic experience: Dr. Salari and ALL of the staff there at NOVA Smile are amazing. I initially went in for a consultation and 2nd opinion about dentures. I was nervous and clueless about the process. They explained everything so I could make an informed decision. They worked with my insurance and set up a payment plan for my out of pocket expenses to help meet my financial situation. The outcome was great. Dr. Salari made adjustments to make them beautiful and comfortable. I've gotten so many compliments about how natural they look. So much so that I went back and got a second set to have as a back up pair. I highly recommend them and I will continue to refer new patients whenever possible. Thanks so much to the whole office!!!

Negative experience: While the staff are very friendly and the office is clean and modern, my experience was miserable and caused long-term pain and damage. I went in for a routine cleaning, and now over 4 months later, my mouth is still in pain. I was pressured into a “deep cleaning” because my insurance covered it—despite my protests that I just wanted a routine cleaning, since I was already dealing with complications from an eye surgery and didn’t want to risk any further medical trauma. What they didn’t explain was that it was actually aggressive scaling and root planing, involving multiple numbing injections (one of which was jabbed into my lip). Each appointment ran 2-3 hours with long waits—the doctor was always running behind schedule and rushing through the procedure—and they split the work across multiple visits, which I’ve never experienced at any other dentist. For nearly 3 months, breathing air in the through my teeth or chewing soft food triggered intense nerve sensitivity. When I asked why I was still in pain, the dentist shrugged dismissively and said, “What do you want, a root canal?”—not only unhelpful, but disregarding the fact that I had zero tooth sensitivity before their procedures. Meanwhile, all they cared about was booking me for my next “deep cleaning” because apparently insurance covers it every 3 months. I’m like… are you kidding me? I’m still recovering from the last one! They also fitted me for a mouth guard (of course, because insurance covers it), though I had no symptoms indicating a need for it. After wearing it for awhile, I’ve now started to experience the most intense pain ever—I can barely eat or drink, and have throbbing pain continuously. Apparently the pressure caused a shift in my bite that isn’t correcting even with discontinued use of the mouth guard. I wish I had never gone to this dentist or trusted them with my dental work. I don’t know if my teeth will ever go back to their previous pain-free state after the damage that’s been caused.

The team is professional, caring, and makes every visit a positive experience. The office is clean and modern, not like other dental offices I have visited in this area. Negative experience: The staff were wonderful! The doctor and hygienist were both very friendly and knowledgeable and did a great job! Wasn't nearly as bad as I would have expected for not seeing a dentist for 8 years. I highly recommend this office! Edit: They kind of pressure you into leaving a positive review after the first visit. In subsequent visits they continually try to convince you that you need unnecessary things for lots of money, and spring procedures on you in the moment. They also tried to charge me for something other than what I was there for.

Negative experience: Their office lied to me about what my insurance covered. DO NOT TRUST THIS DENTIST. MUCH BETTER DENTISTS TAKE ALL MEDICAID. She is not your only option. She acts like the patient should be grateful to be there.. she lied several times about my teeth and what needed to be done…. It was a weird and horrible vulnerable position to be in. My son and I had the worst experiences here ever. We were traumatized and my son had a full blown panic attack while the dentist refused to listen to him and she talked over him and ignored me telling her that he has anxiety.

Negative experience: I had a very disappointing experience with Dr. Salari. I went in to get a filling and a crown on one of my teeth, which required multiple visits. Just a few months later, I returned because I was still having issues, but she completely ignored the original problem. Instead, she started focusing on a different tooth, claiming she had already fixed it—even though she never even touched it before! To make matters worse, Dr. Salari was incredibly rude, constantly interrupting me and insisting on her version of events rather than listening to my concerns. She kept jumping from one patient to another, giving no real attention to anyone. The clinic itself was not as clean as it should be, which only added to my discomfort. I would never recommend Dr. Salari to anyone. If you care about your well-being and your family, avoid her office at all costs.

Fantastic experience: This is a great practice and super polite and friendly staff! I haven't been to the dentist for quite some time, so it wasn't a shock to hear that I needed a good amount of work done to get my mouth and teeth where they needed to be. Dr. Salari is always smiling and willing to explain not just what you need but why you need it. I went on the recommendation of my husband, who also needed a lot of work done several years ago and he always raves about how great Dr. Salari and the staff at Nova Smile is. I'm glad to say he was right.

Negative experience: I recently visited Nova Smile for TMJ treatment, a condition they claim to treat on their website. My experience was highly disappointing and frustrating. From the start, despite emphasizing that my priority was TMJ treatment, the dentist insisted on performing unnecessary procedures like cleaning and filling cavities (very minor), which I felt was more about making money than addressing my primary concern. After two months of waiting, the night guards that were finally ordered did not fit properly and caused significant pain in my jaws. Despite two follow-up visits for adjustments, the night guards still did not fit correctly. Furthermore, Dentist was often busy with multiple patients at a time, leading to rushed and inadequate care. It's clear that Dentist does not possess the expertise to treat TMJ as advertised. Instead, the focus seemed to be on pushing additional, unnecessary treatments. I have never encountered such a greedy and unprofessional dentist in my life. I strongly advise against visiting this clinic if you need specialized TMJ treatment.

Positive experience: Very friendly group and good care. I have had some issues with the receptionists. Their phone system didn’t alert me to a cancelled appointment one time, so I showed up with the office closed. That was annoying, but not really their fault since somehow everyone else got notified. I do wish pricing was a little more transparent with itemized bills. I had to double check my insurance coverage when the front desk told me my insurance wouldn’t cover a treatment, but when I checked, the insurance company assured me they do. The front desk also tried to bill me for a fluoride treatment my son never received. Thankfully everything got worked out, and I hope that part of the office continues to improve since I like Dr. Salari and the hygienists.
