Fantastic experience: I went to get my wisdom teeth extracted today , and Dr.shah-khan was absolutely phenomenal ! The procedure was quick, clean , and completely pain free . Dr.shah -khan is not only a highly skilled surgeon but also super nurturing, friendly, and humorous, he talked me through everything and made me feel completely at ease. Most dental and oral surgeons had turned me down because of the complexity of my teeth , but dr.shah-khan handled it effortlessly. The waiting room is lovely, quiet , clean and soothing with jazz playing in the background. I'll definitely be going back for more services 10/10 , highly recommend

I went in for treatment of my crow’s feet, and Dr. Shakan was incredibly helpful throughout the entire process. He made me feel comfortable right away, explained everything clearly, and the procedure itself was completely painless. The staff Claudia and Martha were also very friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Fantastic experience: Oak Ridge Dental and Oral Surgery is a phenomenal dental office that I highly recommend for everyone! From the moment you walk in the door, you can tell that the staff make you feel welcome and they are incredibly knowledgeable, friendly. The environment they create eases a lot of the anxiety you have from going to the dentist. Dr. Muzzafar is an absolute superstar of a dentist. He is at the top of the game - he breaks down dental jargon into simple terms that anyone is able to understand, explains the procedures he's going to do - all of which are hallmark signs of someone that loves what he does. The actual procedure part went by incredibly easy after Dr. Muzaffar explained everything and he was incredibly proficient at all the procedures he performs in the office. Best part is, Dr. Muzaffar is an even better person - he is very respectful of people of all backgrounds. He has created a team as such that is just like him - a stellar human being. That is what the world needs, especially when people are so scared to come to the dentist. Can't recommend them and Dr. Muzaffar enough.

Fantastic experience: I have to tell you that the dentist is very good and EXTREMELY patient...I was having a tooth extraction done but no matter how many shots I got, I was still in a lot of pain. It just appears that I probably have an infection, so he gave a prescription for antibiotics and hopefully after that, the pain won't be so bad when I come back...I know other people would totally be angry with what was going on but like I said, he was VERY patient and understanding. I just hated making so much noise with other patients in the office. I have no doubt that next time I come in, things will go smoother. The office is clean, a lil chilly though, and the staff is awesome. It's not the first time this has happened and so it's DEFINITELY not the dentists' fault...I know going to the dentist isn't something people like doing but if you have to go, the BEST place to go is Oak Ridge Dental! Dr Shah-Khan IS the best!!

Fantastic experience: This guy is absolutely wild!!! I came in the office shaking and anxious like the nervous wreck I was - wisdom tooth removal day. I’ve done basically everything from doom scrolling to asking AI the cons and loopholes of not getting my teeth removed. I spent even a week or so researching ways to be cleared for a “put to sleep” procedure using general anesthetics. Coming up into the office everything went by lightening speed from wait time - to preparation time, even the numbing phase which hadn’t made much sense to me. The effects were quicker and more subtle than the usual small-staticky, soft pins and needles feelings I would get during anesthetics for my past root canals or cavity removals. From a patient perspective Dr.Shah Khan was like a dark wizard casting spells up in the office. He was quick - applied just the right amounts of strength at the right times, he gave me cues on keeping calm and whether or not he was done overall or with each tooth, which in turn helped me get a gauge of where he was at in his process. Actual six star energy, and I can’t forget about the staff of the place. From eavesdropping they seemed very devoted workers as well as learners responding to him immediately even during operations in a calm and attentive manner. They were very respectful, very kind, and very here to help me people(ladies). A perfect storm, a perfect combination, a perfect experience - the only place in this area I would recommend.

Negative experience: I had my wisdom teeth removed, and the service i received was great. Everything was meticulous, the doctor ensured i was comfortable during my extraction and even before as he gave me the time to mentally prepare for an invasive procedure. The office is very clean and the staff is very kind. I might even say they went above and beyond to ensure everything went as smoothly as possible. During my procedure i trusted the hands of dr shah khan and despite the horror that is tearing my mouth open with drills and needles, i felt calm and in professional hands. I was, however, curious and upset with their policy about not returning the teeth. The reason i wanted to keep them is very personal, so i mustered up the courage to take initiative. i hastily followed up via phone call and email in hopes that there was a chance to salvage them, and the doctor was very patient and graceful in responding. dr shah khan explained to me why they dispose teeth right away as any doctor would with any other body part, as well as why they adhere to such protocol (sanitation reasons, putting staff at risk). i felt lied to though because it was untrue that nowhere are people are allowed to keep their teeth. It is understandable that each institution has their policies, but to imply ALL institutions have the same protocol is inaccurate. Even though i regret not seeking a doctor that does offer them back (which is totally on me), i still would have otherwise recommended oak ridge dental for their overall astute service… However, i think i struck a nerve with my disappointment and persistence. I discovered oak ridge offers orthodontics and because they had my xrays on file i figured id try another service to possibly make up for my initial dissatisfaction. I quickly discover that they blocked my phone number because when i tried calling it deadlined, and they also neglected my appointment email. Now, i understand unhappy clients are a chore to deal with, but to block my number over not keeping teeth is rather extreme. especially because the way i voiced my dissatisfaction was perhaps annoying but fairly mild (earnest phone calls, informal emails, a google review) I was more than happy to change my initial review to five stars for a new service. I also understand that all institutions have the right to refuse service, but… over a negative review? Hammond is home to a oral surgical office that takes great pride in what it delivers, and rightfully so. I am very happy with my extraction procedure as i have endured absolutely no pain and it was all handled with great care. It is very disappointing that my surgical experience wasnt up to par with my personal one. Its important for businesses to handle criticism professionally and not take it personally.

Negative experience: Wow after reading the negative reviews I see why this office gets negative reviews. Got a call after business hours then was advised they would take my insurance but then said they would prefer I pay up front and have my insurance reimburse me. The dentist here needs to humble himself because maybe you thought you were in Hollywood or downtown Chicago but your not so have a little more respect and be grateful that you were even sought to do a service. Steadily asking me if I have Medicaid when sir no I don’t. I have insurance that I pay for through my employer a good employer at that. I’m not some low class person but we will just see how my 300,000 followers on instagram like it when I do my review on live. It was his tone and his overall demeanor on the phone. It was as if I was talking to some high end dentist who was looking down on me. I understand you worked hard to probably get where you at and in this business you will deal with many different people. I think you can be a little more respectful and if you want a certain type of client then just accept no insurance and all cash paying clients and see how long you stay in business. I wish your business the best but I’m more than happy to look elsewhere. I’ll await your nasty reply as I see you do from the reviews when you don’t like what people say. Update: I recently went to this office to receive treatments for my migraines. Dr. Shah-Khan provided me Botox injections which have significantly improved my debilitating migraines. I appreciate Dr. Shah-Khan's expertise in healthcare and managing many conditions.

Negative experience: Horrible service. I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy. The receptionist was so unprofessional and uninformative. I didn’t know if I was talking to a stranger on the street. or a representative of a dental and oral surgery facility.

Fantastic experience: Very good with people, Very helpful. Dr. Shah-Khan is so nice, I am such a big baby, he has such compassion for his patients. Love this place and love him! Highly recommend!!!!!

Negative experience: Lol it’s so professional that the owner of the business says that they don’t have enough staff, but can comment under every review he doesn’t like that’s amazing and then you try to post my business thinking it was shame me but you need my money and everyone who has public aid so next time you decide to make a post about me thinking I can’t comment back try again, but I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau

Fantastic experience: The best dental experience hands down Dr. Shah-Khan was very informative. Explained everything he was doing step by step . Made sure I was comfortable through the whole surgery which I loved. Even though some of my teeth were difficult to pull. He was very patient with me. And the Oak Ridge staff were AWESOME!!!! Everyone made me feel welcome and calmed my nerves. Thank you Oak Ridge for a great experience. ❤️

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Oak Ridge Dental. The staff that answers the phones are very nice. I wanted to get my infected tooth out asap and they made that happen. The doctor was very nice and gentle. I will return if need be in the future.
