Fantastic experience: I always enjoy my routine dental care at Smile Advanced Dental Care. Rachel is a thorough and gentle dental hygienist. Dr. Matos and staff are wonderful.

Fantastic experience: Very pleasant surroundings and a professionally competent staff. While going to the dentist can often be a stressful experience, these folks make it relaxed and interesting even at 8 o'clock in the morning.

Fantastic experience: So I’m one of those panicky dentist patients… like over board scared of dental work… I’m gonna say that this is the first dentist office I have been to that completely handled me with care… from the front desk to especially the dental assistant (sooo caring and helpful) and the dentist himself. I had to have two crowns put on and they offered me a way to be calm, and their approach during the dental work was amazing. And the dentist has such an easy touch that I didn’t feel much pain at all during the service. If you are like me, I’d highly recommend this place. To the Staff: THANK YOU! So much. I had almost canceled twice the morning of the service, but you guys were so great with me, very understanding and didn’t treat me like I was being crazy. Thank you… patient for life!

Betty is friendly, professional and efficient...administrative services are seamless; scheduling, insurance, billing, check-in/check-out processes. Dr. Matos and Rachel are top notch, very much appreciate their expertise and approach; they really connect and listen. They care!!!! Additionally, they provide helpful education and information, their care is grade A. A wonderful and compassionate healthcare experience. Oral and gum health is so very important to our overall health, run to this dentist.

Fantastic experience: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had an amazing experience at Smile Advanced Dental Care in New Braunfels. Dr. Matos performed a very difficult extraction on a broken tooth and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. At no point did I feel any pain, which honestly amazed me considering how bad the tooth was. The entire staff was incredibly welcoming and caring — everyone greeted me with hugs and made me feel like family from the moment I walked in. You can truly tell they care about their patients and go above and beyond to make the experience as stress-free as possible. If you’re looking for a dentist who is skilled, compassionate, and surrounded by an amazing team, I highly recommend Smile Advanced Dental Care and Dr. Matos!

Fantastic experience: I unfortunately visit drs offices often and fill out many intake forms. This office has to be one of the very first that actually read what you put on that form. I mentioned how going to the dentist makes me anxious and they read that and actually were very mindful of that throughout my entire visit and it honestly it didn’t take long until I felt at ease. Everyone was extremely thorough in explaining everything and making sure I was okay. Dr. Matos was amazing in explaining things and overall just wanting me to have good oral hygiene and health. There was nothing pushy about the visit. I have to return for work and I can say I don’t feel anxious about it.

I am a complex patient that is always an anomaly when I walk into the dentist with still obtaining baby teeth and with missing several teeth they worked well with scheduling, payment options, and my procedures. Fantastic experience: I was looking to change dentists, and checked out reviews online. I liked that Smile Advanced offered other services such as Invisilign, which I wanted to do, so I booked an appt. From that initial phone call, I felt like this was the place. The office staff is warm, knowledgeable, and takes their time with each patient. I have never felt rushed. Dr. Matos takes the time to answer questions and addresses any concerns I may have about treatment. Elizabeth managed my Invisilign care throughout the course of treatment, and really knows the process of how it all works. I've been a patient for 10 months, and am extremely happy with my choice.

The team has been incredibly helpful, informative, and communicative every step of the way. I recently switched from another dentist who claimed I had several cavities, but after my first visit here, it was confirmed that my teeth are actually in great shape! Both the hygienist and the doctor were kind, thorough, and patient with all my questions. The office itself is so inviting and clean, with beautiful natural lighting that made me feel right at ease. I also really appreciate the doctor’s conservative approach—he focuses on maintaining the health of your teeth without pushing unnecessary treatments, yet he’s also very attentive to anything that truly needs care. As a thoughtful touch, they even gave me a little chapstick after my appointment, which brought back memories of picking out a treat from the treasure box as a kid. Fantastic experience: This was my teeth cleaning visit to Smile Advanced Dental Care and I was completely impressed. The whole staff is very friendly and professional and asked me my time frame so I could get back to work. Dr. Prospero Matos is very thorough and his TEAM uses the latest technology for taking X-rays. The hygienist was also very friendly and spent time with me teaching me how to floss and where to focus on brushing. They had a mechanical issue, but still got me in the same morning! I am glad that I decided to make the switch to Smile Advanced Dental Care in New Braunfels! I have been here now I believe over 5 years!

Fantastic experience: We were recommended to Smile Pediatric Dental Care by a lactation consultant because my daughter had a tongue tie that was interfering with her breastfeeding. The whole experience with my 4 month old was amazing. As a mama I was nervous, but they put my mind at ease and really made sure I was comfortable with the after care stretches. Dr Lela even FaceTimed me to check in and see how my baby was doing a few days afterwards. I loved the kid area and Dr Lela so much, we knew my 3 year old (now 4) had to come as well. Then my husband chipped a molar so he came for a crown & got fixed up with Dr. Matos. And to be honest, it had been 13+ years since my husband and I went to a dentist so we knew we had to do the membership for all of us. Then I had waaaay too much fun in Mexico that I chipped my front tooth so I called Smile Advanced in the Cabo airport to have them fix me up before meet the teacher. Needless to say Veneers, a crown, a tongue tie, 13+ years of neglected teeth cleaning, and a toddler. I’d say we’ve just about experienced it all. They are my Go-To recommendation. So much so we drive 65 miles just for them. They’re worth it for sure!! 12 out of 10!
