Fantastic experience: We came here for the first time for my daughter's first dentist appointment. They were amazing. She's only 2.5 years old and she was a bit nervous. They really know how to work with kids and make them feel comfortable, which I really liked. Thank you guys! We will see you in 6 months. :)

Fantastic experience: My son enjoys coming here for any procedure. The staff is excellent and very friendly as well as caring. We feel comfortable as soon as we walk in. They also accept amerigroup or medicare for children. Wonderful place, staff, and doctors. I highly recommend them.

Fantastic experience: I absolutely love Children’s Dental Center of Acworth! My children have been patients with this office family for about 6 years total we originally started at the Cartersville location before transferring to Acworth in 2020 when we moved. From the moment you walk in, the office feels welcoming, fun, and honestly just comforting for families. I still remember when my kids were little and would immediately run to look at the little trains moving around the tracks near the ceiling or stop to watch the saltwater fish tank with Nemo and Dory swimming around. Now my kids are teenagers (17, 15, 13, and 12 ), so they act “too cool” for all that… but I still notice it and remember how excited they used to get coming here. And the movies they play are always so good total nostalgia overload for parents sometimes The whole atmosphere just makes going to the dentist feel less stressful and more relaxed. Also, the fact there’s a McDonald’s right next door definitely helped earn bonus points with my kids over the years after appointments lol. The staff has always been incredibly kind, patient, and professional with my children. They take their time, explain everything well, and genuinely care about making kids feel comfortable. As a mom, that means everything to me. We actually commute about 15 miles from Marietta just to continue coming to this office because the experience has always been that worth it for our family. After all these years, we still leave every appointment happy we chose them. Highly recommend this office to any parent looking for a pediatric dental office that truly creates a positive experience for kids and families!

Fantastic experience: My kids have been going here for a few years now. The staff is great. Today my little one had to get a couple of teeth pulled and they were so patient and sweet to my kiddo, and kept me updated as well.

Fantastic experience: We have had the best care ,for my child whom is High Fuctioning Autistic,ADHD along with other diagnoses. They are always patient with him and talk to him prior to any cleaning, xrays,etc. We have been coming here for 6 years. I always recommend this dental office to other parents. The train that travels thru the dental offices,and the aquarium in the waiting area. Really amaze the kids . Including the childrens shows showing on many screens and then the caboose for the kids to go on. I could go on and on. Visit and see for yourself. I tell you, you will not be disappointed!!

Negative experience: If you have a neurodivergent child or a child on the autism spectrum THIS IS NOT the office for you. Dr. Bookers treatment of my child was atrocious all while my child's father was present I cannot imagine if he wasnt there.

Negative experience: Front staff has no customer service training at all! Ended up canceling appointment because of one child policy?! My eight month old was not allowed to be with me at my 3 year old’s appointment. I was not 100% happy with this office since our first appointment last year but thought about giving them a second chance since I do understand we all have bad days. Called in this morning to ask about one child policy and all I got was well I’ll just cancel your appointment. There are so much better options around the area!

Fantastic experience: Second review as I cannot say enough great things about this office. The staff is always pleasant and helpful. I would not be leaving but I moved a longer distance away. I would still 100% recommend. They do great work! The kids are comfortable, eager and excited to be there. My daughter has been here for 4 years. I will always refer them to any and everyone near.

Negative experience: They were impatient and rude with my 8 year old son for being nervous and asking questions. The dental hygienist was already aggravated before she sat down with my son. She was making frustrated facial expressions, sighing, wasn’t communicating properly and repeatedly said “I can’t do this” This is a children’s dentist office you think they would be trained on how to deal with nervous children. If you have a child that needs extra encouragement I would not go here. The dentist on the other hand was very nice to my son and was nothing like the hygienist. I also emailed them about this and they never responded. I then called to cancel their upcoming visits and was brushed off like no big deal. The person on the phone exact response to my complaints was “ok”. 0/5 stars - My son has also said that he doesn’t want to go back because he felt uncomfortable both visits.

Fantastic experience: Everyone is professioanl and friendly. This was an adjustment for us. I had to select a new office due to an insurance coverage change. Later on this year we'll have the ability to go back to our old office but we're going to stay at Childrens Dental Centers.

Fantastic experience: My Eliana (2) had the best experience. It started when she walked in. The train running up above and her seeing the fishes was everything. The assistant and the Dr was very patient and got my girl to do everything they asked. It was a relief to see her relaxed and not terrified as she usually is at her last dental visits elsewhere. I already know her next appt is going to go great and we can’t wait. Amy made my baby feel special and loved and Dr Driggers exam was easy and thorough. Upon walking out. The other Staff members stopped to have conversations and was also very friendly. Thank you guys for a wonderful experience.

They are fast and very thorough. I wish my young adult children can continue care long after 18 years of age!

Negative experience: The front staff are very petty and catty. That’s totally unacceptable! They was also dishonest about needing dental work that isn’t necessary. I will look elsewhere

Fantastic experience: We had our first visit with Dr Sotelo and she was awesome! She was very professional and efficient- not sure my son even realized what was happening (which was a good thing!) The entire staff was very courteous and helpful! Highly recommend!

Negative experience: Good luck getting an appointment to fix a broken bracket or god forbid you miss an appointment. It’s impossible scheduling anything with this business. Save your money and take your kids elsewhere.

Negative experience: Very disappointing. I have been using this practice for many years. This practice used to be so professional and courteous. My last visit on 12/15/25 was far from that. First my appointment was for 4p. My previous two reminder texts a few days apart was for 4p. Yet on the day of appointment the reminder was for 3p. My son was almost not seen. Then the hygienist attending to my son was downright rude, dismissive and very unprofessional. She definitely was upset she had to stay late to see another patient. Her unprofessionalism will cost them another client.

Fantastic experience: I truly like this location. I refuse to go to the one in Cartersville. I’ve had no issues here the last few years versus the two times I took my children in Cartersville

Negative experience: Had a very poor experience here. First they don’t let you go back every time with your child which is sketchy. Then we had an appointment that was canceled the hour before the time of the appointment. We ended up finding somewhere else.

Negative experience: My child was scheduled for his first visit with this office. Unfortunately we couldn’t be seen because this office does not have a OPEN DOOR policy. I think that it would be a good idea to tell parents especially new patients about this policy ahead of time or while booking appointments. They informed me that they have a private room but it’s booked until June of next year. Upfront with your policies is important so everyone’s time isn’t wasted.

Negative experience: (Misdiagnosed+ did not listen) So it started off great... Front staff Great .. Kind etc... But my son was sooo sick and in pain..Crying daily...Begging me to help stop it.. Not eating etc... I kept telling them something was wrong ..went up there like 3 times .. He missed school... Kept getting sent to the Nurses office..even went to the ER.. After a week or so of this.. I decided to take him to my dentist.. His tooth was soooo infected, They couldn't pull it out... So we went to another dental place for kids and they said it was a bad infection and he needed medicine ASAP... FUNNY THING IS I TOLD THEM!! (IT SEEMS INFECTED!!) They said NO... 1st time looked at wrong area (yes I told them) they said it couldn't be where he pointed at.. 2nd time... nothing again no meds help etc 3rd time.. Oh his teeth are moving to close and he needs braces..like what!!... Wanted him to wait weeks for an orthodontist appointment... I asked them so he's just supposed to be in pain... They said TRY TYLENOL.. like I wasn't already doing that.... I gave him everything I could to numb it...Which I told them! Always get a 2nd opinion! Yes I have pics proof etc! So this did happen!

Fantastic experience: We love this place! From the front office staff to hygienists to the dentist and everyone in between. My son is very talkative when he’s nervous, and they were amazing with him! The front office staff also made sure I was aware that my insurance was up the following week just in case I didn’t know.

Positive experience: The office staff is very nice but I didn’t like that I could talk to a dentist. My son was referred to an orthodontist and I had some questions. She didn’t know the answer but said she could google. I have taken my kids there for five years and never spoken to a dentist.

Fantastic experience: All good things to say about this children's dentist. I searched many locations looking for one who took state insurance. I was referred here by a friend. From the first appointment to our 4th so far, we've received an abundance of care. They accept state insurance, they will let you stay with your child if you want and they booked 3 of my kids on same day to help with the back and forth from powder springs. The office is a clean and very friendly environment for children and parents. Staff are more than helpful with scheduling and rendering treatment. Very friendly and professional. Definitely recommend.

Fantastic experience: I cannot say enough about this children’s dentistry. It is by far the best.My granddaughter came in with the severe dental problems that she had. Now, she is on the right road with her dental plan. I would recommend them to anyone. The experience when a child walks into the office is amazing.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Negative experience: Very dishonest and sketchy. 1st appointment: my wife and daughter and our infant went to the private room. They let them in no problem. 2nd appointment: I went in with my daughter and infant. Was told I couldnt come in with her if I had my infant. This was also private room. They told me: if I needed to bring my other kid in with me then we needed a regular room not the private room due to space. Conflicting rules 3rd appointment. We book the big room and got a baby sitter so no additional people this time. Just my wife and my daughter. They told her she couldn’t go backs here with my daughter and that I would need the private room. This practice is very very sketchy. They don’t even let you talk to the dentist. What goes on behind those doors is beyond me. Never had a practice prevent parents from seeing their children’s care. 100% would not recommend this practice. They are private with your own child’s care. And have conflicting policies that make no sense. It changes based on whatever prevents you from going back with your child. Update: was called right after this review to be told that they are sorry I “feel” this way. Taking zero ownership and blaming me for their miscommunication. They blamed a policy change due to a sibling messing with their sibling on the dental chair. Still doesn’t make sense why the parent alone wasn’t allowed on the third visit. Makes zero sense

Fantastic experience: My daughter has been coming here for about a year and a half now and she really enjoys it. The staff works very well with children and my daughter loves Dr. Sotelo. It’s such a great experience because everyone gives a personalized experience with the kids to make them feel comfortable and welcomed. I’ll be bringing my daughter here until she can’t come anymore

Positive experience: I just started taking my son to this location a year ago, and it is very clean and nice. Everyone is friendly, but it did not sit well with me that I did not get to speak to the dentist. I was told my son needed some cavities treated and a root canal on his adult molar, which they couldn’t treat in office. They didn’t give me much info or insight and told me they didn’t know any other doctor who could do the root canal that accepted his insurance. I called back and left a message to speak to the doctor because I had questions concerning the root canal. The front office receptionist called me back, and again totally ignored my request to speak to a doctor, and said she pulled up the x-rays and that she agrees he would have to have a root canal. For such extensive treatment being proposed to my child, you would think a doctor would speak to the parents face to face. I felt that my son was just another “number”. Also, I want to add he had x-rays done a year ago and was seen 6 months ago for a cleaning. No mention of a cavity on this molar. Suddenly, a root canal? I plan on getting a second opinion. Overall, I recommend the doctor speaking with each parent at the visit. This was strange to me, and I have never experienced that.

Positive experience: This was my son’s first visit here. He did go to Turner Pediatric Dentistry but since it has a new owner now, they don’t accept our dental insurance any longer. Our visit wasn’t horrible, but it wasn’t great. They don’t allow you to go back with your child and the staff are not that friendly. I never met the dentist, which is weird. I’ll be looking for another pediatric dentist again. I would not recommend this place. (They have 3 locations (Brookstone, Cartersville, and Rome)

The staff helped keep him at ease and was comforting. Scheduling was a breeze, Cindy I believe her name was, super friendly and helpful with providing me info on what was needed for a the referral. Check in and out were professional and attentive to my questions. Highly recommend! Especially with kids who are uneasy or have behavioral issues.

Negative experience: I booked the quiet room for my child's dental work and the office called me the day of the appointment to relay that the room's machinery was down. I waited a month for the rescheduled appointment and was called again saying that the machinery is down. After all of this, and allowing my nervous child to get this twice scheduled care in the open area, my family was subjected to loud and offensive language from the woman said she is the manager. This abhorrent behavior was the nail in the coffin. Awful experience overall. We will not be back.

Fantastic experience: They do a great job accommodating kids with behavior issues. Staff is super patient and attentive, also very quick, which helps when kids don't care much for dentists, so it doesn't stress them out. Love this office!

Negative experience: Had a cleaning appointment scheduled for 3pm. Arrived 15 mins early and didn’t need to update any paperwork yet was there for two hours. Literally watched everyone who came after us leave well before us. This office clearly overbooks and doesn’t see patients according to appointment times. Completely unorganized and unacceptable! Will not be going back here since they do not respect other people’s time.

Negative experience: I walked in the practice with my three kids at 4pm. My three kids were called a little after 4pm and they were done at 4 40pm. Can you understand that one hygienist cleaned my three kids that fast after taking x rays? Not to mention two teenage girls were wearing braces. They told me that their teeth were not flossed well when we got in the car. I went back inside the office to ask the hygienist what happened. A woman, not the receptionist told me she is the manager and said the hygienist was with a patient. So I explained the manager what my girls felt. Long story short, She kept yelling at me. I didn't like the fact she kept yelling at me while my kids were with me. I got to talk to the hygienist indeed. I don't blame the hygienist. I feel sorry for her. I bet she couldn't have a break having patients back to back. We never had a problem before. I used this place for my four kids for a long time. One of them is grown-up now. They should call me to reschedule if there's only one hygienist working.

Fantastic experience: Update! Big shoutout to Dental Hygentist, Ms. Kristy. My teenager really learned a lot from her today!! Its hard to get a teens interest, much less keeping it. We went to the Brookstone/Acworth location. This was our first time at Childrens Dental and my 14yr old really enjoyed it. Everyone was really nice and gave her lots of tips. Super smooth the entire process. Couldn't imagine it going any better.

Fantastic experience: Wonderful office! My child has had bad dental experiences in the past which made finding a new office quite stressful. After lots of searching around one of my friends whose child also goes here suggested we try this place. I am so glad we did because he absolutely loved it! The staff that worked with him made him feel so welcome and comfortable. My son was seen by Dr. Sotelo who was super friendly. After his cleaning he was walked out to me by Kirstin who introduced herself as one of the assistants. She thoroughly explained everything in a way that was easy to understand. I am so grateful to have found this office and would definitely recommend to anyone with children!!

Fantastic experience: Recently had our first appointment with Dr. Booker. He was absolutely fantastic with our extremely nervous son on the spectrum! He couldn’t have been more welcoming, understanding and genuinely kind! His nurse Amy went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and was so patient and caring! Even the front office staff made us feel right at home and truly cared about! Tara was so knowledgeable and friendly and made the entire process simple and easy and even checked on our son personally following his procedure. The waiting room is done in a train theme complete with model trains traveling along the ceiling on tracks and a caboose car for the kids to play in. There was a beautiful salt water aquarium complete with all of the fish from Finding Nemo, and they had the movie Finding Nemo playing. There were gaming consoles available and the office was very spacious. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: We have been going here for years. My kids are now in highschool and I'm actually sad that we will soon be transitioning them to a general dentist. Cindy is the best. She's the first person you see when you check in. She's like the face of children's dental at brookstone. Always welcoming. Always a smile. She goes above and beyond. It seems like she knows my kids and I, even though she only sees us once or twice a year. Most recently, we came in for an 8 am appointment and the appointment was not in the system. Instead of scheduling a new appointment, they squeezed us in without hesitation. This kind of customer service (I guess) or just general niceness and courtesy is so appreciated. Everyone in the office is always cordial and friendly. Never had a bad experience. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Children's' Dental Center has been an incredible place for my children to visit. I say "had" only because they have now aged-out of their patients. They are now 18yo. I strongly encourage you to check out this company. It's clean, sanitary, fun for children and adults with its movies and calmness (and its great train theme)! The staff are wonderful - from reception to hygienists who explain everything to the dentists. I'm sad we are leaving, but my children received the best care here. They are on a path to lifelong great oral hygiene. I'm very grateful!

Fantastic experience: Always a pleasant experience. My 3 year old Beggs me to bring her here & 10 year old says she never wants to change dentist. I know my kids will be safely taken care of here.

Negative experience: Let me start by saying I am an Afghanistan war veteran with PTSD from seeing young children with absolutely horrific injuries. I was asked to help restrict my child's movements which was understandable being he's 3 and will fight to get away. Once the cleaning was complete I was told there was still more to go, I told them that was fine but he wouldn't be held down again. If they could complete the check by not holding him down then they could proceed but I was told that wasn't how it was going to go. I tried expressing my stress and why I have the stress I do to the staff and I was told word for word " this isn't Afghanistan, get over it." Then was told by the male dentist that it could be negligence to not let them finish. I am a business owner that operates in this community and my mother is a hair stylist right across the street from their office. We're going to be sure to let everyone know not only how you would treat a parent but also a decorated war veteran and his child. We won't be back for sure.

Fantastic experience: This time was just for a cleaning and check up but as usual it went very smoothly with no wait time hardly at all. Even when he had to have fillings he did not even realize they had gave him a shot as they are so pain-free. Would recommend this dentist to anyone

Negative experience: I've been going to this dentist office for 3 years. I've had good experiences here. The staff are friendly, and I love the female dentist on staff. (sorry, I don’t remember her name). Recently we had a teeth cleaning apt for my twin boys who are 8. This specific visit was not a typical teeth cleaning visit. One of my children has special needs, and the male dentist that was there, normally is a floating dentist and only covers Fridays. I've never met or seen him before. Needless to say, this was not a great experience. This dentist was very short, abrupt, inpatient, curt, NO bedside manner. He acted as if I was bothering him with my questions, like I was inconveniencing him, he had better things to do. He was just very cold, overall not friendly or professional. He has NO business being a children’s dentist let alone a dentist at all. I was so upset during this appointment, I looked at the dental hygienist who was equally bothered by him. It took all I had not to confront him right in the office visit. After the appointment, I discussed my frustrations with the office manager. I relayed the interaction, they were very apologetic. I told them to never schedule a visit with him again or Friday visit. We travel 35 min for this location, and I told the staff if he was our original dentist a few years I would have NEVER came back. Very disappointed.

Fantastic experience: Our dentist is Dr. Sotelo who is amazing with all 3 of my daughters. Additionally the staff like Ansley are extremely kind, supportive and loving with all of my children. As a mom of children on the spectrum and having ADHD I can confirm that this practice is capable of handling any and all needs of my children. They always go above and beyond to get us in quickly for emergency appointments, make check ups a breeze and are always willing to help explain all information in regards to their dental health. If you are in need of pediatric dentistry services I highly recommend Children's Dental Center of Brookstone.

Fantastic experience: I might have found a new dentist! We came here with my two littles due to their insurance requesting we see someone in network instead of the dentist we've been seeing out of network. Well I was a little hesitant but I am so glad we made the decision to come here. The waiting area was entertaining to my children and was large enough for everyone waiting. We were in and out with my second child. We did have to wait what felt like forever for my first one to be seen but that could be a bit dramatic. She was hungry and tired while we were waiting (haha). I think we are going to keep this office as our primary that's how great the experience was.

Fantastic experience: Such a great experience at Brookstone. We were accidentally booked at another office and Brookstone worked with me to get me worked in. Amy talked with me afterwards and was so thorough with going over the plan for both my girls!!

Fantastic experience: Megan was my child’s assistant and was so awesome with him! She made him feel so comfortable. She was very informative and helpful as well. She answered all my questions and was so sweet! Such a great dentist office!
