Lina is outstanding—she is always attentive, compassionate, and goes above and beyond to find solutions and answer any questions. The orthodontist carefully reviewed my daughter’s treatment plan and made thoughtful adjustments, eliminating unnecessary treatments that had previously been recommended. This not only gave us confidence in her care but also saved us money. They also offer a variety of insurance options and affordable payment plans, making quality orthodontic care more accessible. My daughter recently completed her orthodontic treatment, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. Negative experience: I would give a 0 star. review if I could. The staff at the location in Vallejo is unprofessional and incompetent. Never going back again. My 7 year old son had one filling to fill and i seriously questioned the cleanliness of the room where im his procedure was done. Never going back.

Fantastic experience: My son and I receive Ortho treatment at Vallejo children's choice. The the environment is always so clean. The staff is really nice and the doctor is always great. We've been getting treatment for about 9 months and I would recommend them to anyone to give them a try. The prices are amazing and Lina is always there to help me. She's really a huge reason I selected them for treatment. Very pleasant, informative and respectful person her alone was enough for me. If you're thinking of this place to get treatment Go! You'll be happy.

Fantastic experience: I appreciate the knowledge and care given to my son. This was his 2nd dental appointment and procedure. His 1st time seeing the dentist was after kindergarten. He had several loose teeth that wouldn’t come out and had to have them removed because he started having his teeth grow on top of others. So, I’m happy that your location was able to get my son in and out.

Positive experience: The service is quick. But I'm having issues with a needed prescription that hasn't been resolved after multiple calls. Update after your reply to call the suggested number for a resolution: That's the same number I've been calling. The office is closed for the weekend and the same office already knows of the issue. It was escalated to a supervisor and I never heard back.

Fantastic experience: It’s always a great experience at Children Choice Dental in Vallejo! Dr D and the whole staff have so much patience with my big family! Highly recommend!

Negative experience: This place has such long wait times. My son’s appointment was at 9 and the doctor didn’t come see him till about 10:15–10:20. I think that they need more doctors and less assistants. They will call 6 patients back and just have us sit in the back the whole time.

My daughter, as a new patient, received prompt attention, including X-rays, a cleaning, and a dentist examination, all completed efficiently on the same day.

Negative experience: My son complain that the cleaning was a bit too rough and using a lot of force with a tool when applying a sealer on one of his tooth

Positive experience: Your office was recommended, so I booked an appointment. Your front office staff was not professional, in my opinion, one of the staff had on a doo rag. I filled out your registration paperwork and was asked to provide my insurance card. But I had to scan it in. Why ask for it on line and in person. My referral could not be found at my first appointment nor my daughters crays, so we had to reschedule. At the next appointment the referral was there. We were called into the back. The doctor looked at the referral and told us to make an appointment to come back. When we came back we where scheduled with a doctor that did not perform the treatment we where scheduled for. So we rescheduled. At the appointment we had to wait 1 hour before the doctor came in. He was very professional and was done very fast. But we had 3 appointments for one procedure.

Negative experience: Appointments are never on time, patients tend to wait 20-30min. But the nail in the coffin was when my son with plenty of visits on this establishment, this one time, didn't feel comfortable with a device the doctor was using. Instead of taking a step back and suggesting a better approach, the doctor kept pushing, which made my son more frustrated and cry, to the point the doctor gave up and wanted us to reschedule putting the blame on my wife and son. Horrible experience, not professional at all, if you don't have the patience to deal with a 4 year old, why are you even working on a kid's dental place?

Fantastic experience: This was our first experience at Children’s Choice Orthodontics, but it was a great appointment. Not only was the staff extremely friendly able to answer all of my orthodontics and financial questions, but we were also in and out of there very quickly. We look forward to continuing our treatment plan there.

Negative experience: If I could give zero stars, I absolutely would. The only reason this place gets even one star is because some of the front desk staff were friendly — but unfortunately, friendliness does not make up for the extremely poor communication and unprofessional handling of our case. Our experience was confusing from the very beginning. We were told that getting expanders was urgent and needed to be done immediately. At the same time, they gave unclear and inconsistent information about whether treatment would involve both the top and bottom or just one. We clearly explained that we would soon be moving out of the country and needed assurance that the treatment plan would work with our situation. Despite this, they confidently reassured us, encouraged us to sign the contract the same day to receive a “discount,” and promised timely appointments. After signing, they told us they would confirm the treatment plan within a few days. In the meantime, we contacted our orthodontist, who reviewed the plan and did not approve it. He specifically advised that only expanders should be used — not braces. We attempted to contact the office multiple times to cancel, but calls went unanswered, especially around the holiday season. When we finally got through, Jasmine was very helpful and assisted us with the cancellation. However, we were told we would need to pay a fee because the expanders had already been made. Since we were leaving the country, we reasonably asked if we could take the expanders with us so our orthodontist could use them. This request was denied without clear explanation. From that point on, communication became even worse. We were repeatedly told that a manager would contact us, but no one ever followed up. We had to keep calling again and again. Eventually, a manager contacted us and asked us to come in. During that visit, we were clearly told that we could cancel with no fees since no treatment had actually started. Then, four months later, we suddenly received a call saying we owed $600. This was shocking and completely unacceptable. Multiple staff members had previously assured us that we owed nothing. When we asked for written proof earlier, they refused, claiming only a manager could sign off — yet the manager was never available during any of our visits. I understand that the lab and other things would cost a certain amount which we had no problem at all but it was not what we were told. If we truly owed money, why were we repeatedly told otherwise? Why did it take four months to suddenly demand payment? This entire experience was disorganized, misleading, and extremely frustrating. We were given conflicting information, ignored when trying to communicate, and ultimately blindsided with a charge that should never have happened. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Positive experience: The service is good and people are kind. The only thing of improvement is to make the waiting time to get the x-ray shorter, because we waited for a long time without anyone coming to us to inform us how much longer we would have to wait.

Negative experience: My visit was very bad. They made us wait 50 minutes, so I decided to leave. They didn’t call me to give me my daughter’s results. Also, the person who did her cleaning did not do it well.

Negative experience: I am currently with Children’s choice and I genuinely do not recommend this place at all. The cleaning and stuff is fine but when it came to my braces this place sucks. I should have been done with my braces after two years, I’ve had them for four going on five years now. I keep contacting them to get my ortho doctor to contact my surgeon for a procedure I need done and it’s been 3 damn months and nothings happening. It’s ridiculous. I do NOT recommend this place and as soon as my braces are off I’m moving dentists.

Positive experience: It was our first appointment and it was a little chaotic. My children needed a small procedure and so did the child that came in after us. The dental assistant proceeded to perform services on other patient due to parent not having enough time to wait around. This pushed my children back and we didn’t walk out till almost 5pm and appointment was at 3pm. The dentist gets slammed with patients lying in chairs (6) waiting and it gets very loud. Having 1 dentist to 6 patients is a lot especially if the patient needs a small procedure you have to wait for 1 assistant to exec what they can. We will try going in on week days because it was just to much going on and taking way to long.

Fantastic experience: I do not have any complaints. This is my first time going there. I usually go to ismile dental and my son usually goes to east bay dental but since east bay dental did not have any appointments I went here. I was concerned that my two year old would not cooperate and I was right. Even though he cried during and after the exam and I couldn’t stop him from crying everyone in there was still nice and patient . They even offered him a toy to calm him down. That little toy helped a lot until we got into the car and he went to sleep for his nap.

Fantastic experience: From the front desk to the dental assistants and more id highly recommend children's choice dental for all ages. The doctor is fast and has a feather touch. As a mom of a child who refuses to sit still he has a calming demeanor and my child did wonderfully.

Negative experience: I’ve had mixed experiences at this children’s dental office. The dentists themselves are decent—professional, patient, and generally good with kids. The office is clean, well-maintained, and has a pleasant atmosphere overall. Some of the staff members are very friendly and helpful, while others come across a bit less approachable, which can be noticeable in a pediatric setting. My biggest concern is the music they play in the office; it’s often not child-friendly, and I’ve heard songs with explicit lyrics during visits. For a place designed for kids, I think more appropriate music would make a big difference. Overall, it’s a clean and competent dental office, but there are a few areas—especially the music choice—where they could improve to create a more kid-focused environment. Updated: I don’t see a way to reply to you directly, so I’m responding here. What would really help our family—and many others—is to change the music to something more child-friendly, such as classical. That used to be the norm in doctors’ offices and similar places. It’s universally appropriate for the general public you serve. In addition to children, many Christians, elderly individuals, Muslims, and others would more than likely have a problem with the music currently being played in your office. If the music is changed to something more appropriate for all audiences, I’m happy to update my rating to reflect that.

Fantastic experience: Always does there best care with my daughter(s) but sometimes the wait can be a little to long and my 1 year starts to get fussy. I do love how they play movies and makes it the dentist work place comfortable and not traumatizing.

Negative experience: I would give this place 0 stars if I could. It was my baby’s first cleaning and the doctor was not professional, he didn’t introduce himself and didn’t know his patients name, he didn’t build the connection and my baby got scared I would not recommend this place.

I don't know their names but they both will go to bat for what is best for your kids. I'm not from vallejo and I drive across the bridge just so my kids can be seen there.

Fantastic experience: My son is terrified of medical personnel, no reason in particular just scared and at the children’s choice they made him so comfortable he didn’t have any trouble at all. He also has adhd and they did all they could to keep him focused and let them do what they had to do. I’m grateful they could meet his needs.

Negative experience: Wait times are awful. If there's a delay, let patients know. We waited over 45 minutes for an appt only to have the dentist spend 30 seconds with us and then walk off. The assistant then took off and left us waiting for another 10 minutes with no word on what we were doing. We finally left and it was another 15 minutes before they even noticed and called. I think we're done with this location after 3 years of putting up with it. If the lobby we're more kid friendly, the wait would be better. If they didn't shove all the patients into a giant room with no privacy, it could be better. If the staff were a little friendlier and actually talked to you it could be better. I cant take it anymore.

The staff was incredibly helpful and welcoming from the moment we walked in. The lady who went over the braces plan was especially kind and made sure we understood everything clearly. She assured us that all treatments would be handled smoothly—and they were. Scheduling future appointments was also very easy and convenient. There’s quite a bit of dental work my son needs, and they took the time to explain everything thoroughly. The dentist doctor was very attentive to my son and made him feel comfortable, which I really appreciated.x They got started with the process right away and made us feel confident that we were in good hands. Everyone was professional, friendly, and truly seemed to care. I highly recommend Children’s Choice Dental if you're looking for quality care for your child.

Negative experience: My son got braces here. They told me he was only going to need one phase I did mention to them that I had gone to another orthodontist and they told me he was going to need a second phase so if he would just need one phase and he would not need a second phase I would go with them. He was only going to need one face here so I decided to go with them Two appointments in. They told me he is going to need a second phase once I had already paid in full. They do not keep there Word who ever comes here make sure you get it in writing that was my mistake.

I have a 2 year old that struggles with appointments and we waited 30 mins after our appointment to be seen u had to ask them to give my kid a toothbrush after her visit as a reward. The receptionist was too busy to sch our next visit. I feel as a child driven business it would be more kid friendly

They are very efficient and they take time to explain what they are doing. Yesterday my daughter work with Priscilla and Daniela and Dr. Mohammad they were very professional from the start to end. I love this location I would highly recommend this company especially the one in Vallejo next to the Target.

Fantastic experience: Had a great 1st dental appointment experience for my 6 year old son! They’re great with kids and was actually in shock that my autistic son went along with the cleaning. He didn’t really take to the xray and was able to just get one scan of his upper teeth, but they didn’t force him to do things he didn’t want to do which was great! They said maybe can try again next time for the X-rays. They allowed my husband to lay with him as he was scared and unfamiliar with the process of getting cleaned. He was comforted by his father and let him see the tools they were using on him as he’s a curious boy on how things work. I’m glad I chose this place as our dental care for our son. Definitely recommend for kids and those with special needs!

Negative experience: I took my son there for his x-ray and cleaned. We were been there at 4:00 until 5:00 they still let him wait for doctor. They looked busy and dirty, seem like they only had one dentist for all of kids. Never take my kids there again.

Negative experience: My daughter has tooth pain and needed an urgent or soonest appointment to be seen. She has medi-cal and the person said she also have another insurance (cal united behavioral health) that I have never heard before. She said that insurance has to be verified and she cannot be seen. I said I will just pay out of pocket, I just want my daughter to be checked by a dentist. She said no, the other insurance has to be verified. To sum it up, they refused service to see my daughter who is in pain regardless of health insurance, or even if I stated I will pay out of pocket. I went to a different dental clinic.

Fantastic experience: I appreciate this dentist office they are really gentle especially when you’re children need sedation because they are very sensitive and afraid of the dentist, my son no longer feels afraid he said next time, I will corporate, he fought us all but overall , when he woke he no longer feels the same way as when he went in the first day, he’s really happy with the results and he is 15 years old. The experience with dentist has not been great, but he is very happy with the dentist that just worked on his teeth , and so am I as the parent . Thank you children’s choice.

Fantastic experience: Love this dentist. They are gentle and informative. Quick visit time. Easy to make an appointment!!! They even moved my appointment time by 20 minutes to accommodate when I said I was running late. Kids get a balloon after and they have Lil tvs playing cartoons the kids can look at while on the table getting exam.

Negative experience: I had the worst experience at this Vallejo location. I have two daughters and brought them both in for a check up. My first daughter got treated by a dental assistant named Brittany which was amazing and sweet with my daughter. I really appreciate how she interacted and calmed my daughter’s nerves. It was a breeze…. As for my other daughter, it was a nightmare. A woman named Marife treated her and had an attitude from the very beginning. Very short and spoke when she had to. For example: sit here, open wide etc. The dentist informed me that my daughter had a small cavity on one of her teeth and asked if it was okay that they placed a sealant to prevent spreading until they can fix it on her next appointment. I said that was fine and Marife asked me to go the receptionist to sign the approval. When I returned Marife was working in my daughter and I noticed my daughter was extremely scared and crying. Both her hands were in fists and the tears were running down her face. I asked what happened and Marife continued working on my daughter and said she doesn’t like the metal device she had in her mouth to keep her mouth open. Then my daughter pointed at where it hurts and I was immediately upset with what I saw my daughters mouth was stretched so wide that her lip was ripping. I told Marife and she said “oh sorry” and lowered it. (Brittany used the same device on my first daughter without hurting her) Then I noticed she was sealing multiple teeth when I asked her what was happening she responded with “I’m sealing her teeth.” It was my understanding that only the tooth with the cavity was being sealed and she said she was sealing her 4 back teeth (none of which had a cavity) when I asked what the reason was, she paused and said”to seal them”. Can someone give me a real response to why perfectly healthy teeth are being sealed? I got out of there a fast as possible but my daughter was so upset because all of her dentist appointments until now have always been a fun experience for her. This woman should not work with children!!

I brought my daughters and just for a check up my daughter was crying in pain. Even after the check up she was still in pain and crying. No care at all. I will never bring them there again. Don’t recommend!

Negative experience: They're inconsiderate of other's time. No one knows anything pertaining to medical,when they're a medical dentist. If your child needs adult work, they refer you to 2 dentists that doesn't even accept medical. The RDAs amongst everyone in there walks around looking clueless, never wanting to answer questions, never smiling and showing customer service skills. The one in Vallejo needs training

Positive experience: I've never had anything but positive interactions with the staff, dentists, and dental assistants here. They are truly patient with my toddler despite his nervousness every visit. The only thing I must say is I wish they were better at scheduling, there was an hour wait before my son's first procedure here and while the assistant was kind enough to let me know and keep me informed of our time left waiting, I think they over schedule for the amount of patients they can see with only 1 dentist there that day. I didn't feel it affected our care here, they are so nice, truly they are! But trying to keep a toddler busy for an hour and having more to our schedule for the day.. It makes it a bit challenging. I also have waiting 30-40 minutes before the dentist does the final check at the end of routine exams so if I have anything negative to say that would be it. Otherwise I highly recommend children's choice dental here in vallejo.

Fantastic experience: My daughter Nuriah is 11 and loves going to this dentist. she's always greeted with a smile and always encouraged and they are always on time. they always handle her with care which a mother like me appreciates good service great payment plans and and always ready to see what needs to be done to do amazing work . amazing job the little one keep up with. The dentist and dental assistance are greatly appreciated and always does a amazing job. Wish I had taken my son here before he turned 18 this past January. Fantastic experience: Yesterday my granddaughter had an appointment and she just loves going to the dentist. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. It was her first time getting an X-ray done and they were so professional about how to go about taking them at her age (3y/o) and the dental assistant that assisted her with cleaning her teeth was very friendly and made sure to ask if fluoride was okay to give my granddaughter. I love coming to this dental office because it’s friendly, quick, clean, and always professional. Thank you everyone for your kind assistance. Keep up the good work.

Negative experience: The communication at this location is terrible. Toothache not treated, I took my child in for a toothache consultation and they found they needed to replace his crown. 2days later a family member takes him to get his crown for his toothache and they pull out a tooth that was not an ache. My child still has a toothache and I have zero answers on why? And when they will replace his crown? Waiting on a manager? Waiting on an answer on why they pulled a tooth that was of no concern to the patient or parent. My child is traumatized.

Fantastic experience: The doctor was great my son is autistic and is really hard to find a dentist that understands his condition she was great whit my son

Positive experience: Staff has always been friendly. Was quite disappointed with the dentist on schedule today. I had previously let the staff know about my son being on the spectrum and being quite scared of dentist visits. Dentist today looked like she was quite bothered by my son not letting her work on him. He was crying pretty loudly and they didn't want him crying like that even though there was nobody else there. I was told they could accommodate his situation but they weren't very accommodating. Vacaville location was much better. Will probably have to transfer him back to the Vacaville location because he left the Vallejo location more terrified. Dentist today tried to force him and that doesn't work with him. Quite disappointed in the visit today.

Negative experience: Already went for my xray of my smile for invisilign but was told 4 times already that a supervisor would call me on getting and keep on getting runaround the bush, wouldn't recommend this place for adults.

Positive experience: I really enjoyed my daughters initial visit for 'first time/cleaning'. I also appreciated the positive & welcoming vibe of all the staff. It was overall a great experience for, both, the kids and myself. The ONLY thing I would definitely speak up about, in hopes that it may change, is the part of the process where the parents hear the results of the check up & x-rays. I would've really appreciated a simple, but thorough, explanation of what can be determined from the x-rays. Like how severe the cavities are and which exactly teeth they are on. What are the most likely steps that are next and then for the child to be told what to do differently. It would just give the kids more of an insight of what results they should expect after going about their teeth the way they have been. So then they could have somewhat of a goal or plan for here on after leaving the dentist. Itbwould also give the parents a bit of peace of mind knowing exactly what's going on at this point. But I felt more in the dark & slightly confused of what exactly my daughter has & what to do or expect next. Everyone was great i just didnt like that part at the end.

Fantastic experience: We had a great visit & the staff was super helpful & professional with my 19 month old!

Negative experience: Victoria was sad. Her face was scratched. Her lip was cut by the cleaning tech. Sure could have been better.

Negative experience: Horrible place they were asking me what they should do with my son teeth their hygiene don’t ask now my son mouth is infected i came to another doctor and doctor said they have done very bad job, they play with peoples health I don’t know why there is not certain standards why gov is not checking thankfully i found a good place please be patient most of these places takes out teeth’s for no reason its very important to find a good place for your kids.

Fantastic experience: I'm glad we followed through and walking in we were able to be seen same day we were able to have a good report and for her first dentist visit being only 2 years old she did great we were very pleased she was a little nervous but she conquered it and was able to be a souljah and she got her stickers we are really thankful thank you
