I came in with severe pain and was relieved to find such a compassionate and professional team. From the moment I arrived, everyone was incredibly kind and attentive, making me feel comfortable despite my pain and nervousness about being at a new dentist office. Dr. Ern and the team took the time to listen to my concerns, thoroughly explained the procedure, and made sure I was as comfortable as possible. The root canal itself was virtually pain-free, which was a huge relief after being in so much discomfort. I had my follow-up visit last week and am feeling better and better. They are a very thorough team & seem to really care about your dental health. The only thing is that we arrived 15 minutes late for a 10am appointment (totally our fault, we messed up) and then it took 3.5 hours for them to see all 3 of us….just for cleanings. I joked to my husband that it felt like we had moved in. So, maybe our lateness threw things off, but the fact that it took soooo long holds me back from giving 5 stars. Again, tho, a VERY friendly team, and super thorough.

I only happened to take their services from last September/October 2023 along with my wife as well! They are not only very knowledgeable, professional, and systematic but also easily accessible and truly customer friendly - right from the front desk to the dental assistants and the dentists without any exception - in understanding the patient and his best interest and advising the correct course of action and treatment! And most importantly I should say thankfully that all the dentist’s associates and Doctor Piton who attended to me are the best and I only feel that I should have seen them long long ago! I don’t have any hesitation in referring them to those in need!

I went in under a medical emergency and was treated appropriately, they fixed a procedure that was claimed to have been done by another dentist and found out it wasn't even done. It's a very clean and modern facility with some cutting edge technology. Your comfort level is maximized. All measures to mitigate pain are taken. The biggest asset would definitely be the people. The dentists and assistants are highly skilled. The support staff is on top of everything. You speak to a LIVE human being who is friendly and super proficient! Billing and insurance issues are explained to you very clearly and making follow- up appointments is effortless. These are rare qualities today, but Putnam Dental operates in this fashion every day.

Experiencia fantástica: My search for the right dentist for me took me all over the Hudson Valley from Kingston to Middletown I must have called 10 different office to “screen them”. Sounds a little extreme I know but I am one of those patients that has some anxiety when sitting in the chair so I’ve put off getting work done. My wife found Dr Ern and Putnam Dental by asking for referral on a FB Mom’s group. It took a lot for me to make the call but I am so happy I did. When I explained to Dana why I was looking for a dentist and about my anxiety she shared some of her own experiences and immediately I started to feel at ease. I had a consult with Dr Ern and his awesome assistant Patricia and we talked about the extent of restorative work that was needed and the sedation options to help reduce my anxiety. Dr Ern professionally explained to me what he needed to do and how he was going to approach several deep cavities and two implants. Getting to know his assistant Patricia and talking about family, food, and gardening really helped me to feel calm and comfortable. The right mix of sedation and a Dr that was knowledgeable and understanding of my need was exactly what I was looking for. I have one more tooth to take care and of and I’m actually looking forward to the next appointment. I’m so grateful for the care I’ve received and to be able to eat without pain and not have to stress about “the chair” Thanks everyone at Putnam Dental for putting a smile back on my face!!

Experiencia fantástica: So glad I found putnam dental and gave them a shot. From the receptionists to the doctor, everyone in this office is amazing. I hate going to the dentist after some bad experiences and they really made me feel at ease. I’m not sure of the assistants name but she and Dr. Cafarelli really took their time with me and made sure I was as comfortable as possible for my wisdom teeth procedure. I highly highly recommend!

The staff is professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. They make sure to be transparent about billing and offer reasonable monthly payment options for expensive procedures with high out-of-pocket costs. Dr. Cafarelli is very good at explaining complex dental issues to a layman like me and checks in frequently during work to make sure you're comfortable. I'm new to the area so I'm very happy to have found a medical provider I can trust. Thank you PDA!

Experiencia fantástica: I was a new patient to Putnam Dental today. It was the best dental visit I had ever had! They welcomed me and even offered me water while I waited. They took great care in my X-rays and cancer screening. Linda gave me just the best cleaning. She got rid of years work of plaque and build up from my less than mediocre cleanings. She provided me Vaseline so my lips didn’t get chapped and even took time to show me how to properly brush after the cleaning. Everyone there is top notch and I am looking forward to my next visit!

From the wonderful front desk staff, the thorough and knowledgeable assistants and Dentists, and hilarious hygienist, I felt well in hand despite dodging the dentist for nearly a decade. Experiencia fantástica: From making my first appointment, being welcomed when I arrived to leaving, EVERYONE was extremely pleasant. Dr. Cafarelli spoke in layman’s terms and offered treatment options vs just declaring how they were going to treat my cracked filling and molar. I like to be extremely informed as to what is happening so the fact that they also went through the photos and X-rays explaining what I was seeing, really helped me to make an informed decision. I wish I had listened to my husband sooner to schedule an appointment with this practice and with Dr. Carafelli!

Dr. Cafarelli takes the time to explain everything and answer all your questions. I never feel rushed. My preliminary exam and cleaning far exceeded any I've ever had. I highly recommend them!

From the office staff to seeing the Dr., assistant/tech & hygienist, the entire process was professional and thorough.
