Experiencia fantástica: We moved to NJ this year and was on an active hunt for a great pediatric dentist. Look no further. Dr. Jason is phenomenal as well as his wonderful staff, from the front desk to the hygienists. They are all SO kind, genuine, knowledgeable and interact so well with the kids. My 8 year old had a small cavity to fill and was filled with anxiety beforehand. Dr. Jason was like a magician. He completely distracted her and used kid-friendly language that she had NO idea what actually happened. Even I was impressed of how swift he did it! She walked away with such a positive experience. Experiencia fantástica: Acorn Pediatric Dental is by far one of the best pediatric dental practices I have encountered. My boys have had different procedures done, including a tongue tie release and every time Doctor Jason has completed it with care and ease. He is quick and efficient all while providing top quality care for young children. His staff is always friendly and warm. I drive an hour to the office, and will continue to do so because of the level of compassion, professionalism and care my children receive.

Experiencia negativa: my daughter had an appointment i made about a month ago before i made the appointment the first question i asked is if they take our insurance the front desk told me yes and we made an appointment.. the day before the appointment i revived a message that they could not verify our insurance i gave them all the info and they told me ok your all set we will see you tomorrow .. we drove an hour to get there ! all for the office to tell us that they don’t not take our insurance .. very unprofessional

Experiencia fantástica: Dr.Jason was absolutely amazing! He did my 5 month olds lip tie and tongue tie surgery the same day. The procedure itself took less than 2 minutes. He was so gentle and explained everything to us like different options before doing the procedure and showed us step by step what to do post surgery. His whole staff was so kind as well! My daughter healed wonderful, we had a great experience highly recommend taking your child here!

Experiencia negativa: The doctor, and employees are great, I have been bringing my daughters for years and we are so happy, everyone is fantastic and is very clean and nice! I still think the doctor is nice but the way they do billing’s is really bad, I made a payment for fluoride for my daughters because I was told my insurance does not cover but actually they do and I never had a problem before with any payments, so I paid out of packet and contacted my insurance I had send them emails with proof that my insurance paid, since February I still get the same answer that they didn’t review it yet is now June, they won’t give a number for billing and will not transfer me there either.

Experiencia fantástica: My 5 1/2 year old is not A baby but he is MY baby so the thought of him needing a few fillings was nerve wracking. The dentist and assistant could not have been better. They were patient, praising him the whole time, during a difficult moment the dentist counted down so my son would know that it’s almost over. They were so sweet and gentle. My stomach was in knots at first but witnessing how AMAZING they were with him, I felt comfortable and confident that they were doing the best job. I hope they always take my kids insurance because I never want to take them to any other dentist office. I am so grateful.

Experiencia fantástica: If I could give 10 stars, I absolutely would. I brought my 11-year-old daughter, who is a very apprehensive patient, and Dr. Jason and the entire staff were incredible. Everyone was so kind, patient, and great at easing her nerves with distraction and reassurance. Dr. Jason was especially calm and compassionate, making her feel comfortable the whole time. The nitrous oxide (“silly gas”) helped a lot, and she ended up completely relaxed. Best of all, she’s no longer scared to go back for future dental work, which says everything. We’re so grateful for such a positive experience—thank you to the whole team!

He was incredibly gentle, knowledgeable, and—most importantly—not pushy at all when it came to deciding on the procedure, which we really appreciated. The procedure went smoothly, and his care didn’t stop there—he personally called to check on our baby afterward and even responded to my texts late at night. My daughter has had fully sedated dentistry, gas, and routine check ups and I cannot be more grateful for such positive experiences. I have been in medicine for almost 2 decades and am an incredibly tough critic and also a major ball of stress when it comes to my child. Their office is always clean .... CLEAN - Front desk staff always friendly and I've never been left waiting past my appointment time. I'd give 10 stars if I could.

Experiencia fantástica: my daughter had the most wonderful experience with both dr. jason and hannah. not only were they both extremely professional, but they kept the mood light as they re-examined and took care of my daughter's cavity, which happened to be a screw-up caused by a previous dentist at another location, and overlooked by a different dentist at yet another! they patiently answered every question my daughter had, and walked her through the whole process to ease her mind. you can tell they love the work that they do. i can't recommend them enough, honestly. front of house staff is extremely friendly also, and act with the same professionalism and patience. remember to grab a BOGO smoothie king coupon on your way out! thank you again. we FINALLY found a dentist we love.

Experiencia positiva: BAD SERVICE! Made an appointment for both kids, set up all the schedules about it! Only to came and to get to know that my appointments were cancelled without any notification! While I still got all reminders about the appointments! Seems like they were trying to reach me when I was out of the country, but they don’t make sure customer receives their message. This is not the first time and not the 2nd/3d they cancel after they schedule. But all the previous times I at least knew. UPDATE: the issue was fixed and didn’t happen again, still using them as the doctor is good

Experiencia fantástica: Thrilled with our choice to switch to Dr. Jason at Acorn Pediatric Dentist. Our previous dentist recommended a treatment plan that required two appointments and included work I wasn’t fully comfortable with. Dr. Jason offered a much simpler plan that could be completed in just one visit. We had that visit today, and it honestly couldn’t have gone more smoothly. We were finished within 45 minutes and right back to our normal routine. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience—for both my child and myself. Highly recommend!

Experiencia fantástica: Acorn Pediatric is amazing! My son has extreme anxiety when going to the dentist, to the point where he makes himself physically ill. The hygienist was absolutely amazing with him. She was patient and fun, all while making him feel comfortable. He let her clean his teeth and use the water and suction, which he has never let any other dentist do. The xray tech was great and my son was so calm during the process. Dr. Jason was friendly and calm, making the completion of his visit even more pleasant! I am so relieved and grateful for Acorn Pediatric!!

Experiencia negativa: I initially liked this practice, but over time my experience has been disappointing. My son is anxious about dental visits, and while some hygienists are calm and patient, others lack consistency and have even asked me to leave the room when attempting to help calm my child. We have never had the same hygienist twice, which makes it harder for an anxious child to build trust. Additionally, withholding the end-of-visit toy unless a child is “fully cooperative” is discouraging and inappropriate for children who struggle being nervous at the dentist as he is only 5. This approach made the experience more stressful for my child rather than supportive. Unfortunately will be moving on and trying another in town office that I have heard great things about!

Experiencia fantástica: This place is absolutely incredible top to bottom. Our 5 year old son had to have extensive dental work and a tooth removed and had to be put under anesthesia. They gave us all the options prior to that but we opted to put him under. They have been absolutely incredible extremely communicative with everything and the anesthesiologist they work with is 10/10. Both the dentist and the doctor were engaging, caring and thoughtful through the entire process. I wouldn't go anywhere else. Highly recommend this place

Experiencia fantástica: Dr Jason and his staff are all phenomenal! The office is very clean and so kid friendly (I’m talking TV on the ceiling friendly ). My kids love It there and so do I! My middle son had to have extensive work done starting when he was very young. Other dentists wanted to put him to sleep or send him to the ER to go under. Dr Jason not only got him in quickly, but he also gave us better options for completing the work. I really love that Dr Jason treats my kids like they are his patients and talks to them (this sounds silly, but literally every other dentist just talks to me and acts like my kid isn’t in the room). We absolutely love It here!

But, after my experience with Acorn, from my first phone call to my kids’ appointments today, they have been exceptional. Experiencia fantástica: A friend of my recommended this practice to us because his young children love it. This dental office is clean, has friendly and welcoming staff, and there was a flat screen television mounted to the ceiling, and one on the wall, both playing Bluey in our exam room. On Friday, my three year old was scheduled to get a silver cap on the bottom left molar. Dr. Jason's sweet and gentleness put my child at ease. His use of opening the mouth wide and biting like a dinosaur helped with the fitting and the placement of the silver cap wherein my child did not need the laughing gas. My husband and I were impressed by this and the efficiency of the short procedure. Our appointment was at 9 am and we were walking out of the door at 9:27 am. Thank you all so much; we'll see you in six months!

The assistants are so patient and attentive with the kids and the front desk is top notch (and I know hard it can be, I work for an Oral Surg’s office). Experiencia fantástica: Today was our first time here. My almost 3 year old was scared to go to the dentist but the second we walked in, everyone was truly welcoming and sweet. She loved the toys available in the lobby and felt at ease already. Once called in our room, they had Bluey playing and my daughter loved it and she did fantastic! Absolutely loved the experience!! We were going somewhere else before, and it was not a good experience- I knew after two visits it was not the place for us. Then we tried Acorn- what a difference! My boys (ages 3 and 2) recently had an appointment. There was so much compassion and gentleness. My oldest has autism, and it's like he knew he was in a safe place. Dr. Jason Tesoriero is wonderful. Both of my boys responded very well to him and he was great with them! I also very much appreciate the respect that is given to you and your family. We personally do not use fluoride, and this is not an issue at all at Acorn. It is totally respected, unlike the other dental practice we went to prior. Dr. Tesoriero even recommended a great fluoride free toothpaste for my kids! And they absolutely love it. And lastly, I was very touched when I was told that it would be ensured that my oldest would have a private room, due to his autism. This was so kind and greatly appreciated. Not that we are better than anyone, but it will definitely help my son feel more calm and at peace. Thank you so much, Acorn, for being a great place for kids!

He explains the entire process from start to finish while putting them at complete ease. Dr. Jason helped my son with a dental emergency about a year ago. My son had knocked both of his teeth out at school, and after calling the office they told us to come right in. He handled this situation with ease, and successfully reinserted both teeth. Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Jason has proven he goes above and beyond for his patients. We recently had an issue with one of my son’s gumline. Dr. Jason called me after office hours, asked to see pictures of the impacted area, weighed in on what it could be, and then squeezed us in the next morning for an appointment. Gratefully it was an easy fix, which Dr. Jason handled himself. His bedside manner is wonderful as well. Super down to earth, and easy to be around. We definitely recommend Dr. Jason!

Experiencia fantástica: Cannot praise the staff and Doctor Jason enough! We had an emergency with our one year daughter yesterday, my children are not currently patients here (will be now) we went on the recommendation of a friend. They fit us in at their earliest convenience and were able to see her....Their kindness and genuine concern was simply amazing. Experiencia fantástica: Always the best experience with Dr TESORIERO. He is so thorough and has so much patience. All four of my kids absolutely love him and are so comfortable with him. He really is so gentle and one of a kind. Today we also brought my one and a half year-old nephew who he did a cleaning and check up on and he was absolutely calm and comfortable the whole time. I can’t Recommend Dr. Jason enough. Everyone I send has the best experience and all the children love him and always feel safe.
