I think everyone knows how talented she is with the pediatric population and after a few sedative visits with my daughter I wanted to commend Smile Shoppe for choosing a patient, understanding of special needs, and gentle dentist who cares for children feeling anxious about dental procedures even adults cringe thinking about. She knows when to press on and when to pause and listens well. Extremely pleased we made the switch to this clinic a few years ago, you won’t be disappointed.

Experiencia fantástica: I cannot recommend Dr.Sleiger enough! She is so patient, so kind, and so adapting to children’s needs! She didn’t have one ounce of overwhelm at my daughter being very upset about cavities getting filled. She sang to her, she waited, she gave me ideas, talked about fight or flight, pivoted at the end to something that ended up working better for my daughter. She’s an angel! We won’t see anyone else! The staff was also incredible! Thanks for making a hard experience so much easier than it could have been!

He loves going to the dentist so that helps but the hygienists and the dentists are very patient. My two year old just had his first appointment and he did well until it was time for the dentist to check his teeth. They were very patient with him and were very gentle. I am expecting my third here soon and will continue to use the smile shoppe with her as well.

She was very honest and upfront, and explained everything thoughtfully with care. We enjoyed a movie in the lobby while we waited and seeing other kids happily getting care in the same room was really comforting. All the staff were cheerful and friendly. We are really happy we chose this dentist.

Experiencia positiva: My kids been going here for years,since my daughter was 3yrs old til now (13yrs old/my son is 7). We loved this place bcus of friendly staff and docs. Today they literally FIRED us from this place bcus we canceled their appointments “last min” HOW ARE WE SUPPOSED TO CALL AND CANCEL IT ON A SUNDAY?! We literally couldn’t make it due to my son being sick around 2am (he’s still sick & it’s Monday). YES WE TXT’d their number to “reschedule” they txt’d back to say we can txt them back or call to reschedule. But when we called they said they couldn’t take us in anymore (literally fired from there) bcus they told us few months/years ago if we wanna cancel appointment we’d have to do it 72hrs prior. I CANT PREDICT WHATS IN THE FUTURE! We don’t just CANCELED APPOINTMENT JUST BCUS! WE LITERALLY CANCEL FOR A REASON! LAST TIME WE CANCELLED BCUS MY DAUGHTER RECENTLY TORE HER ACL AND COULDNT WALK (we had a lot of appointments since and thought it was fine to skip the dentist appointment for now). Anyways…we really liked this spot bcus it’s convenient for us and we liked everyone there..also they suck at scheduling ORTHO..if they say they will call and schedule ORTHO for ur kid they won’t update you on that..you’d have to call that place yourself! They’ve been tryna schedule my daughter for it but never heard from the ORTHO or anybody! Went back to her 6months appointment and they asked if we went to the ortho for her root canal but they never called us..then they said THEY WILL CALL OTHER PLACES CUS THEY CALLED THE WRONG ORTHO like WHAT?! sorry I loved yall but yall suck at doing that..BYE ✌

The pace and attitude was perfect to get a little one acquainted with the dentist and cleaning his teeth wasn’t forced if he wasn’t into it. They were so kind! Dr. Sliger worked so well with him and made it a great experience! Looking forward to continuing to go here!

They are rock stars one of my children are really good at sitting still but my 5 year old was a nervous wreck. they handled it like pros and kept her mind off of being nervous and got everything done. I’d 100% recommend this place to any momma with kids that has had a bad experience with dentists. And even the treatment aren’t as harsh as other dentists she wants to fix teeth not just remove them from there mouth! ❤️

Experiencia negativa: Guy with fluffy hair and darker skin didn’t seem to understand what she was there for or what to do. He sprayed mainly the chair and not her mouth while doing the cleaning. When they were “done” he said oh wait I need to do one more thing. While she was standing he did her fluoride. Odd experience as always at the Springdale location.

Even offered a hug when I broke out into tears because of how grateful I was. Also so truly thankful for her holistic approach to dentistry, and that she will not overdo it on dental work if it can be helped other ways. 10/10!

My daughter is 16 and has special needs, so dental visits can be very stressful for all of us. This was, without a doubt, the best experience we have ever had. Dr. Slinger and her team went above and beyond to coordinate everything and make the visit smooth, calm, and positive. The entire staff was amazing—so thoughtful, patient, and understanding. It’s rare to find a place where everyone works together with such compassion and dedication. If you are looking for a dentist, especially for a child with special needs, I cannot recommend Smile Shop enough. This place is truly something special.

Experiencia negativa: We have been bringing our two daughters to The Smile Shoppe Pediatric Dentistry for the past 4 years for routine cleanings every 6 months. We’ve always appreciated the care the dentists provide, which makes this recent experience even more disappointing. Our insurance has been the same for nearly 5 years. Although it is based out of California and we live in Arkansas, this has never changed. We scheduled this appointment 6 months ago and completed all requested updated forms ahead of time. On the day of our appointment, I pulled my daughter out of school early and we arrived 15 minutes before our scheduled time. Four families who arrived after us were taken back first. After waiting an hour, we were told they were still trying to verify whether we were in network. We were given the option to either pay out of pocket or wait until insurance was “qualified.” After 4 years with the same insurance and consistent visits, this should have been verified before our appointment time — not after an hour in the waiting room with two young children. We were told they would continue looking into it, but we have still not been contacted with any update. We are very disappointed and will unfortunately be looking for a new pediatric dentist.

I have a son with autism and it was stressful just knowing he does not do well at any Doctor’s office. Our hygienist took her time with him and made sure he was comfortable and felt safe. Dr. Sliger is not only very skilled in her profession, she is incredible with kids and is also patient and that made the visit go smoother than I had anticipated. The most important thing for me as a parent to special needs kids, is when seeking medical care, that I ensure they’re provided with the care they need, and feel safe in the environment they are in. Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Sliger and her team are truly amazing! My 8 yo son was experiencing excruciating tooth pain and they were able to get him in the next day to assess even as a new patient! His regular dentist was not able to do anything before Oct. I was not able to attend the appt but Dr Sliger took the time to call me personally and explain in great detail her findings and recommendations. She even scheduled him for surgery on a day she doesn’t normally perform procedures just to relieve the pain he was in. This was all done in a matter of a day. She is truly amazing and I am so grateful for her compassion. I also want to mention her hospital coordinator Maritza Ladezma, she was so patient and kind. She even went above and beyond to stay well past closing to make sure all forms were completed and ready to go for his surgery the next day. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart!

Experiencia fantástica: I could write an essay on how amazing this dental office is, but I will try to keep it short: Dr. Sliger is one of the most kind and brilliant humans I have ever met. My autistic kiddos see her, and with her, the dentist chair is actually a very enjoyable experience! She is kind, patient, and caring. Nothing phases her and she meets me with compassion and respect as we navigate care decisions together. Her dental assistant, Stephanie, is equally as wonderful, and somehow got my very nervous kiddo feeling comfortable enough to get X-rays done; something I never even considered a possibility! I recommend them to ANYONE needing a pediatric dentist! One specific massive thank you I have for Dr. Sliger- she saw my son for a check up, and recommended we get a MTHFR test since his teeth showed some signs of having that mutation. I didn't know teeth were impacted by the mutation and immediately got him tested. Turns out he has the mutation, his folate was near zero and his other levels were wild. We put him on a treatment plan and his life CHANGED. His behaviors are more level, he is tolerating more foods, and one of his GI issues that he has had multiple hospitalizations for and had surgery planned for just vanished. By being an incredibly researched dentist, she changed the entire course of my son's health. We are seriously forever grateful! So yes, 10/10 recommend Dr. Sliger, Stephanie, and this entire office!

All the assistants are super nice and sweet but Edith is our very favorite! And doctor Sliger is THE best, most patient, knowledgeable, and amazing pediatric dentist there is!!! We live in Bentonville and we’re more than happy to make the trip to Springdale just to see her! She always has a way to make you feel so at ease as she explains what she’s going to do and answers questions in such a clear, visual way! We couldn’t recommend the Smile Shoppe @ the Springdale location more!

Our hygienist, I am unsure of her name but she was blonde was so sweet and helpful gave some good tips. Both Doc and hygienist made us feel welcomed never a pain. Dr. Sliger was patient and easy for us to understand. Also want to give a shout out to the extremely patient hygienist we had. Experiencia fantástica: Stephanie is an absolute gem! Best cleaning experience ever for my son who is not an easy dental patient! Dr. Silger is kind, knowledgeable, and empathetic. If you have a child with special needs, I cannot recommend these two enough!

Experiencia fantástica: Dr Sliger is the most amazing dentist there is. She's not afraid to try what others may call "off the wall" treatments/more holistic approaches. She is patient and kind with every child. I have an older disabled son who adores her. She doesn't treat him any differently than anyone else like he's been treated elsewhere. He's respected and cared for with Dr Sliger. She also sees my younger boys. One who is a little rambunctious - he's all boy. She is calm and never gets frustrated, which in turn helps him to calm down and allow her to do what she needs to do. I cannot recommend her enough. Or maybe I should say otherwise so that I can make sure there are spots open She was loved as a teacher and now is loved and praised for dentistry.

Experiencia fantástica: My daughter has had a LOT of dental work done. Dr. Slinger not only worked with my daughters level of comfort but also our financial ability. She helped my 5 year old get a tooth extracted and capped without needed anesthesia or a sedative (all of which made my daughter panic at the thought). We're thankful for her! Also, the front office staff and nurses were incredibly patient, kind, and understanding of all our questions and needs. Thanks! Y'all are awesome!

She is the BEST dentist we’ve been to. Very patient. Explains everything. Gives you different options. Works with you. Just overall a great human! Hard to find quality this day and age!

My daughter is special needs and Everytime we come for an appointment they make her feel more at ease and kinda let her choose what they do next. They take her needs into consideration and try to help with her anxiety and dental anxiety all in general. They are the best! Thankful for our team ❤️

Experiencia negativa: Very bad experience. They serve people based on their skin color not based on their appointment. I went thier twice and every time they served people before me even if we had the same time appointment. Just because I’m not white. Every time I have to wait for one hour with a baby and special needs child who’s a runner and can’t wait . If you’re not white and you have a special needs kids stay away from this horrible and racist people.
