Experiencia negativa: I called on Tuesday, June 16th, 2026, around 3 PM to schedule an appointment to have a tooth extracted (it had split in half) and to prepare for an implant. The person who answered and took my initial details told me someone would call me back shortly to book the appointment. When I called again an hour later because no one had returned my call, the same person told me once more that someone would call me back soon. I called for a third time just after 5 PM, but the office was already closed. Today Wednesday the 17th, after 10 AM, I finally received a call; after I expressed my dissatisfaction about waiting time for return call, the woman told me I had called too late the previous day. Since I was driving a large truck at the time, I couldn't provide my insurance details, but I told her I would supply them once I got home in a few hours. She said she wouldn't make the appointment without that information and that I had to call her back. (I wonder what would have happened if I didn't have insurance and was paying out of pocket.) I called them at 1:50 PM intending to provide the info and put an end to this absurd scheduling process, but I was in for a shock. A very rude woman informed me that someone would call me back shortly (I think I’d heard that before); when I objected and asked to speak to the right person, this rude individual hung up on me. I have just one message for the owners of Commonwealth Oral and Facial Surgery & Dental Implant Center: I am not the type of person who begs others to take my money. If this is how you treat a potential patient at the very beginning, I shudder to think how you treat them later. I called your competitors at 3 PM, and within 10 minutes—greeted with a smile and open arms—I had an appointment scheduled for two days later. Rest assured, I will steer all my friends away from you and never call you again. As far as I’m concerned, you could go out of business tomorrow. Adam Ilnicki.

Experiencia negativa: I called because I had a tooth break in half and I was in excruciating pain and the woman who was setting up the appointment was so rude that I can’t even find the right words to describe how horrible she spoke to me!!! Then she gave me an appointment that was for march 31 (it was February 9th when I called). I was crying and still am and haven’t slept since!!! I can’t say anything about the dentist or other staff. I don’t want to give them a try because of that woman and her lack of empathy and I’m scared to use them because what if that’s how the office treats patients.

Experiencia fantástica: Had to have a fractured tooth removed. Was able to get a very quick appointment with Dr Sommers who patiently explained the process. Fairly quickly had the tooth removed. I was told I would be very sore for up to 7 days, but after the first day, it really wasn't much. Thank you

Experiencia negativa: Had oral surgery to remove #15 molar which is upper back near sinus passage. although, the surgery went OK, I've ended up getting bad sinus infection as result of procedure. Prior to surgery, I was informed that removal is close to my nasal passage and there might be chance infection. Well, I wasn't lucky one and wish surgeon schedule followup. I've ended up checking my self in ENT doctor get antibiotic treatment. It's day 4 and still not over infection. Again, I wish better followup from office.

Experiencia fantástica: Went in for a tooth extraction. Dr. Brennan was fabulous! She was able to get my tooth numb quickly, which is typically a problem for my dentist. The extraction was quick and painless. Would highly recommend!

Experiencia negativa: Went in for a tooth extraction and was told by office staff that they accept my insurance and were in my doctor network. After the procedure, they billed me 400 dollars because they had made a mistake -- they weren't in my network of doctors --so now I had to pay out of pocket for a procedure that is 100 percent covered under my insurance plan. An insurance plan that costs $10 thousand/year. Be careful when dealing with office staff and make sure to verify coverage personally. They are not trustworthy in that regard.

Great care was given to making sure I was ok with the level of pain injections and maybe 15 minutes later a very difficult tooth extraction was complete. My expectation was dread, my visit exceptional. It gets no better than this.

I was referred for immediate treatment by Dr Greg Newman of North Penn Endodontics who saw me that SAME morning, after 2 months of pain due to an undetected fractured molar which became infected. Under the skillful hands of DR HERSH, the infected molar was extracted, antibiotics and a rinse were prescribed and exact post operative instructions were provided. I would recommend this practice to anyone needing an oral surgery.

DR Hersch was excellent at making me feel at ease as were his 2 assistance. The girl even let me hold her hand through it all which gave me comfort. The whole experience was much less than I was afraid it would be and I'm doing very well after, no pain or discomfort. I'm thankful that I went to Commonwealth to have my procedure done.

AND after the initial shock of anesthetic discomfort I felt nothing but surprise at the deft speed of extraction and suture...Because, when I asked when he was taking out the fractured tooth...he was already DONE!!

First visit asked for a little over 2900. When the day the procedure add another $290. Will never come back after done. Will tell my family dentist never refer this place.

Experiencia fantástica: I went to the Landsdale location to get my wisdom teeth removed. My doctor was Michael A. Sommer, DDS. I was very anxious about being put under anesthesia, but the staff were kind and patient with me, and they answered all of my questions. I woke from the surgery up feeling relaxed and well-rested. It has been nearly a week since the procedure, and my mouth feels almost back to normal. My healing has gone very smoothly with no complications and very little pain. I recommend this place and Dr. Sommer for wisdom teeth removal.

Experiencia fantástica: I pulled my wisdom tooth out 6 days ago. I went in the dr asked if wanted to pull it today. I asked how long he said 10 mins lol. I opted for gas instead of sedation. Within 2 mins of being fully gassed up the tooth was gone. Literally everybody was so nice from the receptionist to the assistant. On day 1 I felt 0 pain 0 swelling. It’s going to be a full week tomorrow and I am literally yet to have any pain or swelling. Would 10/10 recommend coming here!

Experiencia fantástica: Had my first oral surgery here today, all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed and from what I understand this is super basic and it went extremely well. The nursing staff is absolutely amazing and kind! With this being my first ever surgery of any kind as well as fear from past experiences I was extremely on edge about going under and ready to walk out...The nurse was so incredibly nice about the situation, came and talked with me to reassure me, I can even remember feeling someone holding my hand throughout the procedure. Dr was great from what I can tell, I'm left with a little swelling but it's only day one so that's to be expected. Overall the staff at the Plymouth meeting location are fantastic!

Experiencia negativa: I had an awful experience First, it took half an hour before being seen. After being shuffled to another room they put numbing agents on my gums for the injection but I still waited close to two hours before getting local anesthesia. I finally had to go the front office to complain about what was happening and after getting the local anesthesia I never received the nitrous gas that I was told I would be getting and had requested. Even though I put my hand up to stop him. He interrupted and said “I’m almost done” and yanked my tooth out. Either he was trying to rush me, or he had it in for me it was the worst, pain I’ve ever had. He even tried to argue with me stating that that there are no nerves down there since a root canal was previously done. I have a follow up for an implant but I’m truly afraid to go to see them again due to the lack of empathy and ability to listen to the patient.

Experiencia fantástica: The idea of an implant initially caused me some anxiety. But my experience with Dr. Wallis was very good. He answered all of my questions and let me know that while this can cause some anxiety it’s really not a difficult procedure for me, and that it would not be that recovery would not be difficult either. The nurses were phenomenal. They reassured me that everything would go well so not to worry. In the end they were right. I had one extraction with Dr Wallis and this implant was the second half of the overall procedure to replace the extracted tooth. I’m glad I was in such capable hands.

Experiencia fantástica: First, the waiting room is very cozy and calming, I love it. All the staff I interacted with for both appointments were great. The place runs very efficiently. They took me back on time, hooked me up to stuff, and started the IV. That's all I remember. They gave me scripts and after-care instructions and I was preparing for the worst pain, but the Novocain is completely worn off and the level of pain is completely tolerable. It's been 5.5 hours after the procedure and I'm doing way better than I thought I would. I'll recommend this place to everyone!

Doctor explained how the extraction procedure will proceed. What the next step is if I wanted it. How an implant procedure is done. After healing from the extraction for a few months. Great info with costs. Great experience. Hadn't had a tooth extracted since I was younger.
