Experiencia fantástica: Best dentist! The most gentle dentist I’ve ever experienced, super kind and genuine humans

Experiencia fantástica: First visit. Dr. Madsen was kind and took great care of me.

Experiencia fantástica: Dr Stephen Madsen is a wonderful dentist. He more than lives up to his father's reputation in this 2nd generation small, welcoming and family-feeling dental practice. They are particularly good with patients who have any kind of dental anxiety, as I know from experience.

Experiencia fantástica: My visits to Dr. Madsen are always pleasant and I never feel like he is looking to do unnecessary work. I trust his integrity and expertise.

Experiencia fantástica: I had to have a tooth extracted. Normal dentist was a month out and referred me to another dentist who was over a month. After calling around I found Dr. Madsen on Monday tooth extracted on Thursday. Really nice, efficient and one of the softest extractions I've ever had

Experiencia fantástica: Softest touch cleaning I’ve ever had! This is a great dentist. Cool music too.

Experiencia fantástica: I have seen Dr Madsen several times now. Have never waited more than five minutes in the waiting room. He is extremely courteous and professional. His staff is very friendly. I don't have insurance. The amounts I have been charged are very reasonable. I highly recommend Dr Madsen.

Experiencia fantástica: I am a first time patient of Dr. Madsen. I was very impressed with his office staff as they are friendly, courteous and professional. Dr. Madsen himself is very professional and personable, and made me feel absolutely at ease and comfortable in the dentist chair. He was very thorough in the examination and in explaining my options to me. I feel he is very honest and has his patient’s best interest at heart. I will definitely be returning.

Experiencia fantástica: Great people, got me in early, very thorough, and very clear as to treatment. Would highly recommend.

Experiencia fantástica: Stephen, Always a great experience, exceptional service in a family friendly environment. Thanks for being available on an early morning.

Experiencia fantástica: Dr Stephen Madson DDS is quite possibly the best dentist I’ve ever met. I am retired and have spent a lifetime seeing dentists for just about every dental procedure - cleanings, extractions, crowns, implants, fillings, and cosmetics. He is not only highly skilled, but he’s extremely nice, thoughtful and caring.

Experiencia fantástica: We recently moved to Chico and I was looking for a dentist for my husband and myself. I had not been to a dentist in quite some time and Dr. Madsen’s office was able to get me scheduled quickly. The entire staff was wonderful! Very kind, polite, professional, and nice! Maddy was particularly delightful! Dr. Stephen Madsen is a great dentist! He personally cleaned my teeth, checked over my X rays, and did a thorough exam. He was able to explain some things I had going on and put my mind at ease that they were nothing to be concerned about. I felt very comfortable and truly felt that I received great dental care! I don’t have dental insurance and I thought they were very reasonable and they also offer a cash discount. My husband has an appointment with Dr. Madsen next week and I would highly recommend him and his staff to anyone looking for a great dentist! I’m very happy to have him as our new dentist!

Experiencia fantástica: Wonderful experience every time. Little to no wait time. Friendly staff. And Dr. Madsen is the best!

Experiencia fantástica: Very comfortable experience, felt like I had been there before when it was my very first visit. Looking forward to my further treatment - felt the dentist was honest and like that the front desk will break down treatment prices and what starting rates are.

Experiencia fantástica: Friendly staff and an easy process for my family of 4 to be seen all in the same day.

Experiencia fantástica: I have to say this is the most pleasant dental experience i have ever had of my adult life. The staff are very kind and polite, always willing to answer your questions. Whilst the Doctor himself is genuinely the nicest dentist i have ever met. He is polite and understanding, even if he sees that there is lots of work to be done he does not judge you. He is patient and is willing to answer your questions honestly and do the work to make sure that you are not in pain. I hope to return to him as my regular dentist if spots are available. I can't say enough good things about this man, his staff, and his practice. Thank you again!

Experiencia fantástica: I am a new patient to Dr. Madsen's practice, having only been there one time, but I was very favorably impressed with the whole staff. So far, based on this one good experience, I would recommend them.

His office staff is always welcoming, professional and gracious. Dr. Madsen is a star and I highly recommend him. Sincerely, Ann Nielsen, Chico

Experiencia fantástica: Steven Madsen and his staff are awesome!

Experiencia fantástica: He does a great job.

Experiencia fantástica: Great place. Honest and friendly staff. They take care of you and actually care about you as well.

Experiencia fantástica: My husband was on a business trip to N. California and needed an emergency dentist. I contacted the office around 11:30 pm by email and Alicia got him a 1:00 appointment the next day. Dr. Madsen was extremely professional explaining what options were available and repaired my husband's tooth the same day. His tooth actually looked better than it did before! The whole process was pain free and seamless. Dr. Madsen is a great dentist and communicates well with his patients. We were fortunate to find him and recommend him!

Experiencia fantástica: Always right on time, super friendly staff, and very thorough. Dr. Madsen’s father was our family dentist for decades and Stephen has stepped right into the practice and made a few updates which I appreciate.

Experiencia fantástica: AMAZING!!!! I was so stressed out and Dr Stephen Madsen was kind enough to see me free of charge and give me tremendous advice on what to do with SEVEN different teeth! I’m a handful and he had every answer! He is a kind and wonderful soul! I feel so cared for that I am looking to switch insurances so I can be in-network with them! If not, I hope to go to them in the future and am willing to pay out of pocket for their care because I appreciate them so much! Trust me, private practices r a different world from company dental practices!! Also, shoutout to the whole staff!! They answer the phone so fast and Alicia helped quickly schedule my emergency for the next day and Dr. Stephen and her even offered enough time for an emergency procedure in case it came to it!! I asked for a quote with them, using Aetna PPO insurance and they were kind enough to do that to give me peace of mind! (I did not have out network coverage, however, so always do a predetermination or call your insurance first before any payment(s) and procedures). Not all places r kind enough to go through the trouble of running quotes with you on the spot! I believe it only took around 15 minutes to run it with my three-page treatment plan, then I was on my way to compare my options. They were all so diligent, efficient, and informed with my circumstances, needs, and requests! I had many hypothetical questions and major insurance questions as I am new to adult dental insurance (differs from medical). Thank you Dr. Stephen, Alicia, Shannan, and Bridgett!!! People like you make Chico feel like home!

Experiencia fantástica: Great experience at Stephen Madsen DMD. They got me in quickly, were straightforward and professional, and made the visit comfortable and not intimidating at all — especially as a first-time patient after a long gap from the dentist. The staff was friendly, efficient, and easy to work with. I’d definitely recommend them if you’re looking for a dentist who keeps things simple and stress-free.

Experiencia fantástica: Clean, friendly, and most importantly great with kids. Best dental experience we have received. So grateful for having a late appointment available and a fast visit.

Experiencia fantástica: My experience as a new patient was FANTASTIC. Dr. Madsen and the entire staff, were professional, friendly, efficient, kind and considerate. I am new to the area and needed to connect with a new dentist for cleanings etc. and was looking for a practice that was locally owned and personal. I was surprised to find so many practices in a small town owned by private equity, shockingly expensive and unwilling to see someone without dental insurance. I have good teeth, I’ve never carried dental insurance. Dr. Madsen’s office was happy to let me pay out of pocket, took the time to get to know me, had a convenient electronic pre check in method and were very reasonably and fairly priced for their services. I look forward to their friendly smiles, professionalism and cozy blankets at my next cleaning and checkup.

Experiencia fantástica: Great staff, excellent dentist. Considerate and extremely knowledgable.

Experiencia fantástica: I recently completed a full mouth makeover with Dr. Stephan Madsen, DMD, in Chico, California, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the results. Dr. Madsen and his team restored the function, esthetics, and comfort of my mouth with exceptional skill and care. The transformation has been truly life-changing, and the quality of the work exceeded my expectations—all at a very reasonable price. Throughout the process, the office was professional, welcoming, and attentive to my needs. If you’re looking for a dentist who combines expertise, artistry, and compassion, I highly recommend Dr. Madsen’s office. You’ll be in great hands.

Experiencia fantástica: Staff was very nìce and pleasant to me for my first visit with them. Would recommend to others to select them as their dentist.

Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Madsen and his team are the absolute best in Chico… and perhaps everywhere. One of the only dentists I have been to where I am 100 percent confident I am not paying for anything that’s not necessary. Visits are always pleasant rarely with any waiting and staff is amazing. Love these people!!

Experiencia fantástica: I love Dr Madsen. He’s professional, but caring. He is very knowledgable, and makes me feel relaxed instead of nervous at the dentist. I love everyone that works in the office and am super appreciative of how caring the entire staff is. I’ve never felt embarrassed or judged about my teeth with anyone here, which has been a huge thing for me at other dentist offices. Dr Madsen is super informative, but lets you know he really cares for your health. He is super gentle when needing work done, I don’t even realize he is halfway done with the work! I’ve got my in laws going here now as well due to this impressive team. If you are considering a new dentist in Chico, this is the place. I won’t be going anywhere else.

Madsen and staff members Rocio Lopez

Experiencia fantástica: Came in because I thought my feeling fell out and was trying to make an appointment. Not only did they see me right then and there on the spot and took x-rays, made my follow up visit and made me feel so comfortable. I highly recommend this dental office did not try to overcharge like many other places here locally honest, caring and wonderful dental office.!

He doesn’t offer all those unnecessary amenities- no scents- wax dip for your hands- or blood pressure, just good dental services. There was no pressure for X-rays or upsells. It was easy to get appointments. Thank You.

Experiencia fantástica: I have seen a few dentists in my lifetime, however today's visit with Steven was by far the most pleasant experience ever. I would recommend him for anyone who may have dentist phobia. Going to see the dentist may not be high on the "fun" list but the importance of going should be high on the "should do" list and Steven Madsen allows you to accomplish caring for your teeth. Thank you for your skills.

Experiencia fantástica: Dr Madsen took me in the same day my crown popped off my back molar. I was so relieved that he took the time the same day to see me! He and his assistant Maddy did an excellent job of examining and re-cementing my crown back in place. I think we’ve discovered a gem of a dentist in Dr Madsen.

Experiencia fantástica: I am very confident with everything about his office and taking great care of my smile... thank you so much!!!

Experiencia fantástica: I experienced horrible tooth pain Thursday night and Dr Madsen was the only dentist available Friday afternoon to get me in. I appreciate him and his staff for all they did!
