I saw her clean and wipe everything down after she used the equipment, including knobs on drawers and the closet where the XRay machine was stored and that reassured me. The office was very considerate about our scheduling needs too.

Then they call me the day before saying they need my insurance info, I give them it, they say I have ppo when I have dmo & lie to my face, probably just wanted to cancel to get out of doing their job. Not my first time being lied to & treated like shit by metro dental. But I will make this my last. Wasted a a day off. I hate you metro dental.

Experiencia fantástica: After a very disappointing experience with a dental hygienist at another dental office I was very nervous to have a teeth cleaning done at Metro Dentalcare Blaine Pheasant Ridge. My first one was 6 months ago and the hygienist was kind, gentle, and supportive. I just had my second cleaning and had a different hygienist. She was also kind, gentle, and supportive. I am so pleased with the care I received.

Experiencia negativa: Provide more options for patients who indicate sensitive teeth. Only once or twice have I been offered/had the numbing agent used during my cleanings, and I really need it. I am often offered Sensidyne and always counseled that it can/will help when used routinely; HOWEVER, that’s of no help when it hurts now. Cleanings are very uncomfortable, and I am looking into /interested alternative methods (or alternative dentists if those methods are not available at Meteo Dental) and their costs. Rating of 1 out of 10 for this visit due to the pain. Jodie Mortenson

Less than a week before both appointments (scheduled for different days) we were notified that they were cancelled because the doctor will be out of office. The earliest reschedule offered was March and who knows if we would even be seen or if the doctor would cancel it again...

Experiencia fantástica: I left metro dental and went to Aspen Dental because they were close to my new residence.. I was so disappointed in Aspen and missed my dentist at Metro Dental soooo much. I decided to make the drive and return to Dr Karen Competente!!!!!

Experiencia fantástica: My family and I have been trusting Dr. Competente and the team with our dental care for over 15 years. No matter where we moved, we never changed our dentist because they are the only ones we truly trust with our dental health and treatments. Recently, I had a terrible toothache on one of their busiest days. Despite their full schedule, they made time to see me, checked my condition, and immediately referred me to an endodontist for a root canal the same day. Their dedication and care meant so much to me, strengthening my trust and appreciation for them even more. As long as they’re here, we have no plans to go anywhere else!

Experiencia positiva: Streamlined and professional care. Steve the hygienist is wonderful. From the moment you check in you are treated with dignity and respect. The 2 reasons why I didn’t give a full 5 stars was due to a staff meeting that caused me to have to reschedule at the last minute, and once in the office I needed to wait a while to see the dentist. Therefore, I missed another appointment I had due to the delay.

Experiencia negativa: I’ve been struggling with their billing department for 5 months. In October I got a “past due” notice for $220 with no additional details. I called only to find out it was the first time they were billing me for a service that was done 14 months earlier. When I asked why I was just now getting billed the poor girl tasked with answering my call fumbled and explained they had new management and they were “going through past due accounts”. They failed to file my secondary insurance at the time of my service and I explained that I paid my estimated patient portion when I was getting the service. I’ve spent hours over the last 5 months sending them copies of my secondary insurance, calling, emailing and texting to tell them that I still haven’t see them submit the claim (likely because they are past their timely filing limits). Today they admitted they’ve had the secondary coverage on my account the whole time, which is validating because it hasn’t changed in the last 10 years. The whole situation is unfortunate because I love their providers. I’ve lost hope with this new back office management and now I have to find new care for our family. I will continue to call or email with every bill but won’t be back after this.
