Experiencia negativa: Arrived with no insurance, and they were aware, Free consult ended up with a treatment plan over $40,000!! Yes, I have a lot of dental problems but they expected us to come up with that money within a couple of weeks for my post-op appt. Pressure was placed on us to hurry and get this done to save my teeth...but no one would take the time to help with financial assistance or plans or even sit down to discuss a better plan of action for MY finances. They kept pushing Cherry or Care Credit and even their own sedation plan. I called and spoke to Michelle to see if there were alternatives we could do. She advised she would see if the doctor would agree to the suggestions...and I have heard NOTHING. It has been a week of waiting for them to call me back. They managed to call to confirm an appt I canceleld online over a month ago though. Not sure what is going on as we used them in the past for sedation work with no issues. Could it be due to the name cange or merging with another businss? Not happy at all with their promise of working with the patient on payment options and care. You have no direct way of contacting them either...no email or direct office phone that I am aware of. I guess I need to look elsewhere and pray I find one that actually wants to help me without asking for a full year's salary. If I happen to hear back from them or even work out a plan that will not cause us to go homeless, I will update. 3 weeks now and nothing from them to assist with payment options. So much for caring and being there for us. Moving on and pray no one else is ghosted like we have been.

Experiencia negativa: I am very disappointed with my experience. I scheduled a dental cleaning appointment approximately six months ago and had been waiting for my appointment date. Just two days before the appointment, I received a confirmation call and was informed for the first time that the location I had always visited no longer provides routine dental services and is now exclusively a sedation dentistry office. I was told I would need to go to the Valrico location instead. What is most frustrating is that no communication was ever sent to notify me of this significant change during the six months I was waiting for my appointment. Had I not received the confirmation call, I would have shown up to an office that could not provide the service I scheduled. To make matters worse, the representative who called did not apologize for the inconvenience or seem concerned about the lack of communication. There was little acknowledgment of the time I had spent waiting for an appointment that could no longer be honored at the location where it was originally scheduled. I understand that businesses change their services and operations, but patients deserve proactive communication, especially when appointments are booked months in advance. Unfortunately, the lack of communication and customer service in this situation left me with a very negative impression.

Experiencia fantástica: I have been going to Monticciolo Dentistry for i like 3 years! I've had traumatic dentist experience when I was 6yo and have severe anxiety going back to the dentist . At Monticciolo they were patient with me, assured me of all the best options and overall good people who listen! I had a crown done with Dr duvert(1year ago)and it was a breeze. Recently on 4-09 I got all 4 wisdom teeth extracted and a tongue biopsy by Dr Jimenez and I'm still recovering but I have little to no pain! Thank God! I loved that they didn't have to put gauge in my mouth when I left, they stopped the bleeding before I left and I have had like no bleeding during this recovering . I just wanted to take the time and share my experience with this office!

They were quick to respond to my appointment request that I completed online, then once I arrived the day of the appointment the office was quiet, clean and playing great music. I needed to get X-rays done and it was by far the most seamless experience I’ve ever had with getting X-rays at the dentist. If you’ve ever had them done, you know how awkward and uncomfortable the process can be. Once it was time to check out, Sarah was incredibly helpful and patient. She answered all my questions, went the extra mile during the billing process- then got me scheduled for the next appointment promptly. I can’t recommend this dentist office enough!

Experiencia negativa: My recent experience with Monticciolo Family & Sedation Dentistry was nothing short of infuriating, and it highlighted a complete lack of accountability and professionalism within this office. I was explicitly told before my procedure that it was covered by insurance. Naturally, I trusted their information—only to receive a bill later with no payment instructions whatsoever. What followed was three weeks of me calling repeatedly, leaving three separate messages through their call center, each time being told the office itself had to handle it. Not once did anyone return my call. On my fourth attempt, I was routed to someone in billing, only to be met with another voicemail and, again, no response. It wasn’t until my fifth call—after insisting the call center stay on the line—that I was finally able to get the balance paid. This was a balance I was originally assured I would not have in the first place. The lack of communication from the actual office was unbelievable. I also requested my records, as I will never return to this practice. The staff turnover is obvious, and the environment feels chaotic and disorganized. The final person I spoke with tried to excuse the total silence from the office by claiming it was a “staffing issue” because several people were out sick—yet somehow not one voicemail could be returned over more than three weeks?

We have always been scared of seeing dentists but the front desk girl was so nice and made us feel welcome on Top of the office being so clean and nicely decorated for Halloween! Then Dr. Meneses and her assistants totally put us at ease when it came time for X-rays and exams. The office manager was very helpful and explained our treatment and pricing to where we had no questions after and left feeling like we chose the best office in town. Even though dental work is expensive, this office is worth the money and they’re actually less expensive than most we have been to. We will see them next week for our appointments!

I walk into the office this morning and was told Dr. Duvert was no longer there and I would be seeing a new dentist. I was super sad and very disappointed. Not to receive a letter from monticciolo or a phone call from the staff to prepare us for such a change is quite unprofessional and shows this office is more concerned about their bottom line and not its customer. The ladies at the front desk was very apologetic and caring about my feelings, and Diane is always super nice. I met the new dentist there today, whom seem really nice. I just hope that she can provide the same if not exceed the caring, patient focus, and professionalism that Dr. Duvert provided for me all these many years.

I have 6 months of dental procedures to go through. Ask me in 6 months about what I think. Stay away from this dentist!!! They over charge you and won't give you your money back. They charged me 16,000 dollars for upper and lower dentures. They charged me over 12,000 dollars and bill my insurance company almost 5,000 dollars. I asked them to please look into the over payment, but wouldn't listen. STAY AWAY IF YOU LIKE YOUR MONEY!!!

Experiencia negativa: Do not use this Dentist! Monticciolo Family and Sedation Dentistry, I am currently filing a formal complaint with the Florida healthcare complaint portal for negligence against his dental firm and Dentist. I paid this Dentist $2500.00. 6 months ago to have two teeth removed and to make a partial. In six months, my dental partial snapped apart in my mouth, causing me to almost choke. I called the dentist explained and was given appointment, I met with the dentist and firm after their constant fabrications that for $2500 I only purchased a "temporary" partial that could be subject to breaking, and if I had purchased a permanent, there made with metal and would be warranted. They offered to "repair" my broken partial at a "cost" to me. But would do noting else. When you see the pictures of the partial, you’ll understand the negligence, that a Dentist would create such a partial, so slim and shaved down that it’s subject to breaking while you’re eating your supper. And the nonsense that $2,500 only covered a "TEMPORARY" partial is insane. Their failure to care for their patient and repair and replace their mistake is beyond unforgivable. I will seek further recourse in the legal system since they refuse to take contact me with a resolution. I will continue with these social media post on every social site to ensure people do not get taken advantage like I have from this firm.. Do not use this firm.

Duvert and she thoroughly reviewed my X-rays and treatment plan with me. She was also extremely kind and answered all the questions I had. I got very lucky and they had an afternoon cancellation in order to handle a more urgent tooth I was worried about, but to my pleasant surprise, Dr. Duvert was able to complete a few extra things from my treatment plan. It had been a long time since I had been to the Dentist and I was nervous; Diane did a wonderful job of talking me through what was going on, and even held my hand for a moment when I needed it. I am absolutely thrilled with how my smile feels and looks. I am so excited for my next appointments. I highly recommend this location and Dr. Duvert!!

He has never had a dentist. We were always told that dentists couldn't see them because of their disabilities. The dentist was amazing. He was not rushed. He showed me images of each damaged area and talked me through the process. Now my older special needs son has an appointment. We don't have any insurance but the money will be well spent.

Experiencia positiva: I visited in Dec 2024 for a 2nd opinion to replace a failed bridge. While not requested they insisted on a full exam and xray of every tooth. Seemed odd but I went with it since the 2nd opinion is no cost. They estimated 16k is repairs. I have yet to review because I need a medial advisor to decipher and breakout what applies to the bridged teeth. Was a bit uncomfortable with this visit and really questioning to go back. Also viewing the reviews I wonder why they only comment on the positive reviews and say nothing to people that have valid complaints. Seems odd! I do want the sedation for a couple of the procedures but am not confident they have my interest at heart or just looking for my money.

But Dr. Duvert and her staff were excellent at putting me at ease and making the experience pleasant. I was impressed with their efficiency, professionalism and kindness. I will even follow up on my next appointment in 6 months and not wait 2 years again. Starting the new year with clean shiny cavity free Monticciolo approved teeth. Love my smile.

I had to trust the word of the hygienist or wait “a long while” for the dentist, or return Monday (after a Thursday appointment) for a follow up. It’s a shame since I always had a 4/5 experience at the Tampa office.

Experiencia fantástica: I went to Monticciolo Family and Sedation Dentistry in Plant City, FL. today due to a hurtful back tooth. I have been seeing her a couple of years. She is hands down the best dentist I have ever been to. She is thorough, kind and pays special attention to your needs. I had to have my back tooth extracted today. I did not even feel it being pulled. She sent me home with antibiotics and pain pills to help with the any infection and pain. I have taken the meds once so far and will take it again before bed time. I highly recommend her!

Experiencia negativa: I spent thousands of dollars at this dentist on a bridge, only to have it break in less than 2 years. After my bridge was put in I chose not to return to this dentist because I wasn’t completely happy with the care I received. When I called them to schedule an appointment so that they could figure out what went wrong with the bridge, I was told that I voided my warranty since I didn’t come back to them for my cleanings. Apparently, when signing the 50 pages of paperwork they rush you through, you agree to only a one year warranty and that warranty is only good if you come there for your cleanings. Upon research, most dentist warranty their bridges for 5 years, I guess they have more faith in their work than this dentist does. I am now having to pay another dentist to fix this bridge. I also found out through the new X-ray that the root canal that was done also failed. So, I would not recommend this dentist to anyone, because they are quick to take your money, but they will not stand behind their work. Experiencia fantástica: I was skeptical with some of the reviews but went with my heart and was very pleased at how my son, who has autism, was treated by the front desk gals, the x-ray technician, and most of all by the dentist. Dr. Monti explained everything to me, and my son directly - actually talked to him - like a real person not a dummy, and showed him kindness. I've been around a while and work in the legal field, and I have had to "fight the fight" for my son everywhere I go and all of his life. He was very professional, and courteous, and made me feel confident he will take care of my son while under anesthesia. I pray I am right. To me, nothing else matters when you have a child with special needs and I have "shopped til I dropped" looking for someone to handle everything all at one time. This kind of treatment is what brings a mother back with their child no matter the cost. I will update this review after his surgery/procedure. I'm nervous because my son has sensory issues, doesn't numb, etc. so we will see. Root canals, fillings, deep clean, etc. I do believe this dentist will exceed expectations as he shows himself to be a "Pro". UPDATE: 01/2024. Surgery was a success. Dr. Monticciolo proves to be what I felt.....a pro. Kelly and Maribel put up with my anxiety and constant "is he ok?" Everyone there is wonderful. Will keep coming back. Thank you for everything. UPDATE: 05/07/24 - Monticello is like family. Daniel did my son's first cleaning after his root canals and caps. Treated him like gold. Thank you yet again. UPDATE: 11/22/24 - Took my son back yet again for cleaning and cap adjustment. Dr. Duvert was so good to him. Dr. Duvert also handled my husband's whole mouth extraction last month like the pro that she is. I watched her hands she is an amazing surgeon. She dealt with the autism and neurological/sensory with kindness and patience. I cannot give enough praise for Dr. Monti and Dr. Duvert. As long as they are there I will keep bringing those I love to them. When mama bear finds a "spot" that treats her cubs right, it shall be THE spot.

Experiencia negativa: I had extensive dental work done in July for knee replacement surgery clearance. I had two root canals with temporary fillings (they feel out within two weeks of the work) and an extraction. My cost were quite expensive, over $3500. With that being said, because the temp fillings came out. I now have a huge hole in one tooth and the other has broken off in the back to the gym line. And before anyone says, why didn’t I have it fixed before now, my surgeon just released to have anything like that done! To say I’m not a happy person is an understatement. I will not be back and now have to find a dentist to fix all these problems.

Experiencia negativa: After attempting to contact management for over a month with no response I figured maybe they will call me back if I posted a review! Let’s see! The dentist drilled out my upper front tooth for no reason! I now have continuous problems only two months later and no one will return my calls when I am trying request a refund! They need to take accountability when they are wrong but instead are avoiding me! Next step will be legal action! If I put my request in writing it will need to be reported to the department of dental licensing so it would be a lot easier to just call me back!!
