Experiencia positiva: My first visit was a little confusing. I came in for a cleaning, but for a new patient they only do xrays first. Guess I have periodontal issues and the next appointment they would do a deep cleaning. They will not do a prophylaxis cleaning. It was not well explained at all. After researching and checking my insurance, I will proceed to the next step, however, it could have been explained much more clearly.

Experiencia negativa: Extremely frustrating experience with Chestnut Hills Dentistry (Murrysville location). I scheduled my appointment over the phone a month in advance and received two separate confirmation text messages. When I arrived for my appointment, I was told I did not have an appointment and was not even in their system. Even after showing proof of my confirmed appointment, the front desk offered zero help or accountability. I was told “I don’t know what to tell you” multiple times and sent away without any attempt to fix their mistake. No apology. No reschedule. No solution. Just a complete waste of my time. I would not recommend this office as a new patient.

Experiencia fantástica: The dental hygienist, Rachael, and Dr. Beach dentist are always on time. Rachael is super friendly which helps me relax a bit; she knows I’m incredibly anxious being there because of bad experiences I’ve had with dentists since I was a child. Dr. Beach always shows me my X-rays when there is a problem & clearly explains which tooth needs additional care and why. They have this new scanner. Rachael used this wand to scan all of my teeth. Then Dr. Beach pulls up the 3D image of what my teeth look like with what my teeth look like with all of their crevices, twists, and imperfections - it was awesome! The waiting room & treatment rooms have always been very clean. Finally, they send you numerous reminder texts so you don’t forget about your appointment.

Experiencia negativa: One of the worst experiences. I made an appointment 7+ months ago as a new patient. I received two text reminders, and also an email 2 hours before my appointment. I showed up for my appointment and they gave my appointment away because I didn’t respond that I was coming. So within 2 hours you gave away my appointment? If I wasn’t coming- I would have called to cancel. The receptionist wouldn’t even look me in the eyes to tell me that they gave away my appointment. She goes we can rebook you- at that point I was so mad, that I said I think I just need to find a new dentist and her response, “have a nice day”. I already waited 7 months to get in with them! It was so awful.

Dr Beach was thorough and explained everything answering all my questions. The dental assistant made me feel very comfortable explaining the procedure and pricing. It's one thing for your dentist to have these traits. It's a whole different story when the nurses, receptionist, and dental technicians each have these as well. From the very short time I spent in-office, I was able to leave knowing that Dr. Beech and Chestnut Hills Dental will absolutely be able to provide the care I need or may need. Regarding Ms. Reagan in particular, I believe she is the kind of person who is in the field they were meant to be in. She's passionate about the technology, the science, and the patient care and she isn't afraid to show that excitement. That's the kind of person I WANT to be a Healthcare professional and I don't believe there possibly could've been a better first impression by a business or Healthcare office.
