Experiencia negativa: my experience has been HORRIBLE here, i just came from happy smiles and i didn’t FEEL A THING, but when i allowed this man to touch my mouth i could feel every drill everything he did inside my mouth!

Experiencia fantástica: I love this dentist office. I went here when I was a kid and still wished I could use Dr. Ken as my dentist. But my kids now use them and love each and every one who works there. It’s nice to find a place where you feel comfortable and welcomed and treated very well. And here is the place to go! Thank you for all that y’all do!

Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Ken was excellent in both his bedside manner and approach with our 3 year old. We went to another pediatric dentist who recommended general anesthesia without alternatives for our son. Dr. Ken answered all of ours questions without judgement and offered us an alternative treatment plan with which we felt much more comfortable. Additionally, his dental hygienist, receptionist, and entire staff were welcoming and helpful. Could not recommend this clinic any more highly if you’re looking for a pediatric dentist!

Experiencia fantástica: My 6 year old granddaughter loves coming to Dr. Ken's office some of her procedures were major and each time we felt confident that she wouldn't be in much pain and things would be done correctly. She prefers that her Dad sit with her during her procedures and not once has that been a problem with the doctor or staff, we always get a follow up call asking how she's doing and if we have any concerns or questions. I would 100% recommend bringing your little ones here....

Experiencia fantástica: Both my children have been patients at Dr. Ken's office since my son was 2 years old. My son is 18 and has had to change dentists now. My daughter is still a patient there, and she's also been going there since she was 2 years old. Both my children have loved their time there and have never had any issues with any procedures or any of the staff. We were patients at the old clinic by the old Shoney's 16 years ago, and they have always made us feel comfortable. We only have about 2 to 3 appointments left with them before my daughter ages out of his practice as my son did. We were there today, and we were in and out. In the 16 years we've been going to them, the wait times have never been long. We absolutely love Dr. Ken Johnson's Pediatric Dentistry office.

Experiencia negativa: Doctor Johnson is amazing! He is great with the kids! But the office manager Sarah was so terrible we switched orthodontists. I called to follow up on my daughter appointment that her dad took her too.. and she proceeded to say “how mothers need to take their kids and not dads, and if I wanted info on my daughters appt maybe I should of been there”. I was flabbergasted. We will miss doctor johnson!

Experiencia fantástica: I recommend Mr.johnson and his staff there super friendly and do there job great and you get done so your on the way to set up next appointment they are great with kids they always have toothbrushes n toothpaste waiting for them when they arrive and get to take home after and they give them a little prize toy out of there machine when everything is done with the kids teeth and children gets to watch cartoons when they are getting there teeth done how cool is that my children loves going to see mr.johnson and his staff cause they gentle with kids and they hurry up and send you home that what my daughter says she like her dentist and she won't go to anyone else besides Johnson and his crew.

Experiencia fantástica: I would recommend Dr. Ken and his office to anyone. Everyone on staff is kind and professional. They have all kinds of tricks to get my 3-year-old comfortable with them and their tools, including doing “exams” on the stuffed animal she brought with her so she would know what to expect. And there’s hardly ever a long wait.

Experiencia fantástica: Ava loves going to the dentist! Getting her toy from the gum-ball machine is her favorite part! Our favorite part is that her visits are quick yet efficient! And the sweet ladies at the front do a great job of reminding me of or rescheduling future appointments! Overall I would and do recommend them to anyone looking for dental care for their littles!

Experiencia fantástica: Just switched my 5 and almost 2 year old to Dr. Johnson’s office and we are 100% pleased with them! This was the first dentist that my oldest has been to that he didn’t cry and throw a fit for me to be right next to him and my little one, who was throwing the ugliest fit, was treated so well!

Experiencia fantástica: We absolutely love Dr. Johnson’s clinic. My kids pediatrician recommended him to us and he sees both of my girls. The clinic is nice and is friendly and spacious. Welcoming atmosphere and the staff is soooo sweet and courteous. Those ladies are absolutely genuine and kind to the kids. They make me as a parent feel very comfortable. My kids love it. And they get you in and out. I love it. Highly recommend 1000/1000 ❤️❤️

Experiencia negativa: We have been using Ken Johnson for some time. We have always felt a bit uneasy there. Well the other day I took my 7 yr old autistic son for a cleaning. He started crying and the hygienist stopped and told him that he’s 7 and 7 yr olds don’t act like this. I told her he’s scared and autistic. She had no compassion just was very annoyed with him. I will not take my kids back here. Just horrible!

Experiencia negativa: Sarah, the office manager, was condescending and rude to me over the phone. It really upset and bothered me. I just wanted to ask questions and get more information about my insurance and my child’s care. Instead, I was made to feel like I was dumb for even asking. Treat and talk to others how you would want to be treated and talked to. You never know what someone is going through. Just be nice.

Experiencia fantástica: My 3year old daughter came today and absolutely loved it! She’s always terrified when going in a doctors office and today we over came that! The staff here is hands down the best I’ve ever seen!

Experiencia negativa: The actual dentist may be fine. However, I asked a few days ago about if there was policy of parents going back into the room. Now, granted they were closed when I asked…however, being as it wasn’t immediately after I asked this and I didn’t have a number stored for this office bc I have never used them before. I did request a text after my message (it gave you choices) but I didn’t know it would even be their office number bc most businesses have a google voice or something similar to text people instead of their actual office number. Days later…a random text message comes to my phone that said…How old is your child? There was no information before this. I asked who it was and that is when she said Dr. Ken Johnson’s office. I told her 3 after that. Then she proceeded to tell me that it depended on the child whether they got in the chair or in the parent’s lap. I told her that wasn’t what I asked and I asked if there was a policy that parents couldn’t be back in the room and if so at what age. She avoided my question. I called and she still avoided my question. I understand what they are trying to do…however, I am not comfortable with my child going back in a dentist office without me. He doesn’t even go to daycare. I do not trust people enough with my child especially after hearing horror stories from friends on other dentists offices that did this where they wouldn’t allow the parents to go back. If I am not allowed back at any given point…then my child isn’t either. I do not care if I have to drive 4 hours away.

Experiencia negativa: If you are having a medical emergency with your child, do NOT take your child here. Sarah the “office manager” is a nightmare. The only thing she should be in charge of is getting a better attitude. There is no sense is being so rude.

Experiencia fantástica: The staff is beautiful and nice. I love that the office is spacious. My son had his first appointment with Dr. Johnson and my son did better than a I thought. It was definitely a good experience for the both of us.

Experiencia positiva: I love that even if you arrive 30 minutes before your kids'appointment, they go ahead and get them in so you can get out. We had an appointment at 4. I picked my son up from school, headed straight there and they took him back within seconds of our arrival. He was finished before our appointment time even hit.

Experiencia fantástica: I’ve been bringing my two daughters here since they were old enough to go to the dentist. Dr. Ken Johnson is awesome with kids, and even does his own procedures if they need it at the hospital and does GREAT work!

Experiencia negativa: Was referred to this clinic from our family dentist. Upon arriving we discovered that there was a worker there that has caused major trauma to our family and kids. It was simply asked that this worker not work on our children and we were told it would not be a problem but moments later after filling out all paper work and waiting we were asked to leave. We will never return to a place that turns down medical treatment to a child.

He was unable to take care of a cavity in my grandsons tooth because of his underlying medical conditions, but he gave me information on where to take my grandson. In the future we will see Dr. Johnson for all of my grandsons cleanings.

I have waited too long to take my son because of his resistance in letting anyone look in his mouth and brush his teeth. I highly underestimated how wonderful they are with children! 10/10 recommend!!!

Experiencia fantástica: My son is 23 months old and we went to his first dentist appointment with Dr Johnson. My son felt comfortable the entire time we were in the office. The dental hygienist was so friendly and showed him all the tools (tooth brush and mirror) before looking in his mouth. Dr Johnson came in and had a technique to look in his mouth while allowing him to still sit in my lap. My son had a great experience! He also got a small gift from the toy gumball machine for doing so good! I recommend Dr Johnson for all children! I am so thankful my son had a great first dental experience!

Experiencia fantástica: We were sent to Dr. Johnson about 5 years ago because my daughter has anxiety & does not do good at a dentist office. She would refuse to open her mouth, no X-rays, she wouldn’t even let them use their cleaning stuff. It had to be a regular tooth brush. By the time we got sent to Dr. Johnson she needed caps on all her back teeth. He recommended we put her to sleep & fix them all at one time. When her next check up came up, she made me go back with her BUT she let them do what they needed to do. After that she didn’t want me to come back at all. She felt very comfortable with the staff & Dr. Johnson. Today she had to get a cavity fixed & she went back there like a champ!!!! She didn’t even know they gave her a shot to numb it. He is amazing!!!! She said he told her what he was doing as he was doing it, so that made her feel better. She came out with a smile. I highly recommend this wonderful place. EVERYBODY that works there is amazing & sweet. If i could give them 100 stars i would.

Experiencia negativa: I do not even know what this dentist, Ken Johnson, looks like because he’s been so unaccommodating. All they want is your money. The dental assistants there are friendly and kind, but Johnson and his gaudy paper-pusher assistant named Sarah are only concerned w taking your money. They immediately refused to fix my 4 year-old’s back molar without putting her under. (First red flag ) The day of surgery, we walked out after being placed inside tiny, little holding space for 3 hours(‼️) with no one coming in to check if we even needed to use the bathroom(second red flag )They knew that my 4 year-old hadn’t eaten anything that morning bc they told her no liquids or food past 12AM. I couldn’t allow her to wait any longer. Absolutely no excuse for this type of medical treatment-or lack there of! Long story short, I wouldn’t take my dog to these folks! If they won’t accommodate or care for a tiny little 4 year old girl w a tooth ache then they won’t be very accommodating to you either.

Experiencia negativa: Really rude. They aren't really what I would call " kid friendly". Had us hold my two year old down when she was already scared and just told us that she was two she was gonna cry. Im well aware that she is two and is gonna cry but she is human to she is allowed to get upset just like we are. Instead of just trying to talk to her and trying to get her to calm down, Dr. Johnson said and I quote "that is why they send two year olds to us cause we know how to handle them". That isn't how you handle a scared two year old. The dental assistant was the same way. We was both upset when leaving! So I recommend if you a parent not to even bother taking them especially if it's a young child like mine.

It’s not often that kids look forward to going to the dentist, but mine do (even at this age, haha). We couldn’t ask for better people than who and what we have here—an amazing dental experience with an amazing group of people.

Experiencia negativa: I made an appointment for my 5 year old son who needed a filling. I sent my son to the first appointment where they were just going to look at the tooth. My dad had to take him since I had a meeting at work. We live in Oxford, MS therefore my dad drove 50 miles over there and they wouldn't even see my son because I was not there with him. They even called me and I was like please see him and they refused to see him. Terrible service with the ladies at the front desk. We never got to see the doctor so I don't have comment on him. The lady at the front desk just said it is their policy for the parent or guardian to be at every visit. Also making an appointment was difficult because it is their policy for new patients to be seen at certain times. Those times are not good times for children who have to be check out from school.
