Experiencia fantástica: We have always loved Chesapeake Pediatric Dental. My son has been a patient there for about 12 years. They have always been so kind and punctual. My son has autism and they really have always accommodated his special needs. A few weeks ago he had to go under mild sedation for cavities and we were nervous about how it would go. The experience was wonderful. His teeth are great since and their bedside manner is top of the line. My son mentioned he liked the soft blanket they had on him and Dr. Durgam insisted he take it home. Dr. Durgam and her team are absolutely wonderful!

This place has been a game changer as I have a toddler with autism so dentist visits can be extremely Challenging. From the first initial visit, everything has been smooth. They have been patient and kind. My son has taken such a liking and trust with the staff here. And I couldn’t ask for anything better I do not see us leaving this dental practice. The Dentist made it right, but only after we got our kids out of school for an appointment we had previously confirmed only to find out that the appointment was cancelled because we didn't confirm it twice or some nonsense. When advised that we had confirmed we were called a liar.

Experiencia negativa: Didn’t have a problem with this group until today. It’s extremely inconsiderate to close the office and not call the patients that are scheduled that day. Late for work and school due to lack of communication.

Experiencia fantástica: I recently transferred my kids dental care here after a nightmare experience with Porter Dental. Given our previous experience, my son and I were very weary but we were immediately put to ease by the care and compassion of the staff. 10 of 10 experience from start to finish. The dentist even called me directly for a follow up on some questions I had.

Experiencia negativa: Have had a very poor experience with these dentists, both clinical and administrative. They told me (similar to other reviewers) that my child had small cavities that it didn't make sense to do anything but watch. These turned into major cavities which resulted in major and painful procedures. They insufficiently sedated my child during another procedure which led to a very traumatic experience. Finally, I have been calling for several months now trying to get reimbursed for a procedure, and keep getting told "2 more weeks." I think we're going to be switching at this point. This is ridiculous.

Experiencia fantástica: I honestly cannot say enough amazing things about Chesapeake Pediatric Dental Group in Perry Hall. We started with them back when my oldest son "R" (who was dx with autism level 2) was at a lower level of functioning, when his former office said that they could not handle my son in their office, and sent us there for bigger jobs. They had such an amazing bedside manner with him that we decided that we wanted to switch all 4 of my kids there for our permanent care. My youngest son "J" (also on the spectrum at level 3, very low functioning) has extreme difficulty navigating the public and transition away from routine, especially in a medical setting. Additionally, his biggest fear in the entire world is brushing his teeth. The hardest part of my day is chasing him around to brush his teeth. He absolutely cannot stand mouth feels due to sensory issues, and every single time we brush his teeth it is extremely traumatizing for him. Today, three of our children were seen and it went uncharacteristically well, specifically because of CPDG's wonderful staff members. Both the dental hygienist and the dentist were absolutely amazing with him. They were so helpful in giving me advice on how to handle his oral care at home, working with his fears and trauma. Our hygienist (I believe her name was Megan) took extra time to show me some different specialized toothpaste and toothbrush that would work for someone who is having difficulty with the standards, and she also helped direct me to a Montessori-style dental playset that has helped other kiddos on the spectrum like him so that we can work on building up his comfort level. I am so grateful that they have a staff that cares about their patients. It really does make the biggest difference. Thank you SO much, you have helped us in our daily routine more than you could even know.

Experiencia negativa: Horrible experience. I was rushed. They spelled my name wrong asked for my insurance information 5x but couldn't answer my questions. Racist environment. Megan was irritated because she spelled my name incorrectly and had to grab a new sheet. My 3 year old Autistic child deserves better. They have no patience and I will spend thousands elsewhere.

Experiencia fantástica: I have to say, Chesapeake Pediatric Dental Group is fantastic! Every time I take my kids there, the service is exceptional. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, which puts both me and my children at ease. It truly feels like a safe haven for dental visits. Ashley at the front desk was wonderfully kind and took her time to ensure my child was properly checked in. We barely waited a minute before my son was called back for his cleaning. And then there was Emily—she was amazing! She engaged my son throughout the entire process, explaining everything in a way he could understand, and was so patient with me as well. Honestly, every single person we encountered, including the dentist, was wonderful. I wholeheartedly recommend this place! If you have kids under 11, you won’t regret bringing them here. Thank you ladies!!! You all rock!

Experiencia fantástica: Destiny at this location was so helpful, says my mom Erica. I have three siblings who currently go to this dentist and have differing schedules. As does my mom who has a busy schedule. Destiny helped make appointments for them all, making sure to call my mom as soon as an opening arised. The staff here listen and truly care for their clients, parents (caregivers) and children.

Experiencia negativa: Really disappointed in administrative experience. I missed a reminder call, they left a vm that I had to call back to confirm. I didnt get the vm until the end of the day. The very next day- they called back and left a vm stating that since I hadn't called back to confirm the day before- they cancelled my appointment. Unfortunately I also didnt get that vm until about 3 pm, the following day which apparently is too late for them I called back to try to get him on the schedule again and the office is closed. Really people? I have a full time job. You gave exactly half a business day for a response and then cancelled my appointment . This is ridiculous!

Experiencia negativa: My granddaughter was going to this office. She's 17 and has been in pain due to a cavity. My daughter called here 3 months ago for the pain but since we didn't see a cavity they made her wait till June for an appt. Now my granddaughter is in terrible pain from the cavity. My daughter called them and they said since it's her permanent tooth, they can't help her. We haven't been successful finding another dentist who takes the insurance and will take a new patient right away. So we have to take her to my dentist and pay out ofpocket. When I called my dentist, they said this dentist should have taken care of her till she's 18 especially if she's in pain. I'll be contacting The dental board to lodge a complaint. This dentist is awful@! They don't care about their patients. My dentist although very busy, will take her although she's a new patient. I recommend Dr. Tzomides! He's a terrific caring dentist!

Experiencia negativa: I really had bad experiences with CPDG. They misguided me about their acceptance of my insurance. They were out of network but on the day of visit they told me that I am ok this time but should keep in mind next time. Later they sent me the bill due to the out of network charges, when I mentioned that your office told me that I am ok this time, they said, well you have to pay unfortunately, or it will go to the collection. I could have saved those charges if they would simply tell me that I would be responsible for the out of network payments, so I would go to another in-network facility, but they never said such. This is the question of their trustworthines and integrity which based on my experience, I cannot rely on them or take my kids to them anymore.

Experiencia negativa: My children have been attending this clinic for years. After having to cancel the last two appointments (one being due to Covid) they dismissed my children from the clinic. I wasn't told that this would happen when I cancelled the second appointment & actually was told it was fine. Today when calling to reschedule the appointment I was told my children were dismissed. I was also told that there wasn't any notes entered stating that I called to cancel either time. Which in fact I did so someone didn't do their due diligence. The clinic is nice and we enjoyed it. However, just be careful because even if you call to cancel they will dismiss you and not allow you to make anymore appointments.

Experiencia fantástica: Absolutely loved this place. Took my 2 year old for her first visit. She has a horrible fear of doctors and they did SO WELL WITH HER. She didn't cry at all, they made her feel so safe and comfortable. Absolutely recommend this place to anyone.

He has be going to the dentist since he was 6months of age. He is special needs and has always had difficulty with sensory experiences. Yet he did not cry when seeing this dentist!! That alone is worth it’s weight in gold in my opinion. I will not take him anywhere else. This place is AMAZING.

They were so gentle and don’t force my little ones when they started to get uncomfortable. My daughter did so beautifully at every dentist appointment and I’m so pleased with how gentle they are with my children. I’m also Deaf so they were able to accommodate me so that I can understand the technician and the dentist (I will always be grateful for that!). I highly recommend to come to this office - where the staff are all so friendly!

Experiencia negativa: I have very bad experience, my insurance covers deep cleaning after three months. When I go with my two kids they charged me extra money. After my inquiry they said we are charging for fluoride on teeth even when my insurance covers all. So I do not recommend.

My son is autistic and he made sure to take slow and hands on measures so my son felt comfortable and would allow him to do a cleaning. Experiencia fantástica: Wonderful! Even during covid times I felt safe being in the office with the staff . All proper safety procedures in place. (Temp checks and masks worn) Staff is warm and welcoming. Accommodated us quickly. Everything is catered toward the children. My 4 year old was comfortable enough to go get his x-ray done while his 9yr old brother started his cleaning . The oral hygienist was absolutely amazing . Allowed me to take pictures to send to dad. Taught the boys why we brush our teeth and reminded to do it twice a day and floss... one of my boys is not a fan . Found out the oldest had a cavity and they fit us into the schedule for 4 days later to fix it. They made him so comfortable and he remained not scared for a new procedure. Great for small children who are scared . 5/5 highly recommended.

Experiencia fantástica: My daughter is almost 2.5 years old and not really fond of the dentist. Today was her first appointment with Dr. Tennassee at the Perry Hall office and I couldn't be happier! My daughter warmed up and loved the office. Dr. Tennassee was so friendly and her assistant was too. They made my daughter and I feel very comfortable. She especially loved the songs that they sang when brushing her teeth and she got to pick stickers. She even gave the doctor and assistant a hug goodbye. Very excited that we came here. Thank you!

Experiencia fantástica: We were referred here a few years ago. My son had been to multiple pediatric dentist beforehand. He refused to allow any work done to his mouth, not even a simple cleaning. Something changed within him the minute we first walked through the doors of Chesapeake Pediatric Dental. He felt safe, loved and secure. He had to have oral surgery right away but was so brave and willing to allow them to do what needd to be done. When he needed to be seen for his post op visit, he pushed opened the doors and hollard as loud as he could "I'm back!" with the biggest smile upon his face. He is 11 now and absolutely loves going to the dentist now. He had a tooth extracted today and he he did a wonderful job and I owe it all to the wonderful dentist and staff that make my boy feel all the love and support they offer. Hands down the BEST pediatric dentist around!

Experiencia fantástica: Today was the first visit for my son who is Autistic, currently non-verbal, and does not like the dentist (we are transferring from our previous pediatric dental practice after a recommendation from a friend). The entire staff was extremely kind, patient, and understanding when it came to my son’s needs. The hygienist was so gentle brushing his teeth and the doctor was thorough in his examination while keeping it to the necessities (and limiting my son’s upset). He then patiently took the time to talk through his findings and other tips with my husband and I. We all left very happy and confident that this is the perfect fit for our family! I highly recommend them!

Experiencia fantástica: My son's appointment was 11:00 I got there 10:58 I was seen right away. This was only my second time there and both times they are kind and courteous. My normally talkative 6 year old seems to go completely shy but it don't matter they still treat him like a big brave boy! I'm glad I chose to switch to them!

The only thing I really did not like was when the one staff member at the front desk told my 3 year old son “I told you that you can get hurt behind the desk”. I know my son shouldn’t have been back there behind the desk, but he’s only 3. And I had my hands full with all the paper work for my son as a new patient.

Dr. T is my personal favorite she amazing with the children. If you are on time for appointment you will not wait. I have been taking all three my children there forever years now.
