We are both happy we have found a nice and welcoming dental group. Also the front desk receptionists are very friendly. Valere is in the picture cleaning my son's teeth, she was gentle.

Experiencia negativa: I would NOT recommend this place to anyone. The service is below average and they will send you a bill in the mail for services that were not rendered. My experience started by locating this office via my insurance network portal. I decided to make a new patient appt for myself and my husband being that our previous dental provider was no longer in network. I successfully scheduled two appts for us- one after the other on the same day, just a few mins apart (mine at 1:45pm, his at 2:15pm). The day of our service comes, we check in and fill out the required paperwork via MyChart. My husband is taken to the back (yes, before me... eventhough i was scheduled to go first). I continue to sit in the waiting room for about another 45 minutes as I watch other patients who came in after me get taken back for treatment. I kept calm because I understand things happen. I am finally brought back and receive imaging and an oral enzyme test (i have never seen this done before). What i wish I would have known is that the extensive imaging and saliva analysis is NOT covered by insurance. I would have appreciated if i was given an option for these procedures. I then continued to receive a basic dental cleaning. On the other hand, while the team was playing catch up with me, my husband continued to sit in his dental chair waiting for a hygienist to see him for about an hour to an hour and a half after he had his X-rays performed. When they finally got back to him- they told him they were closing and he would have to return for a second visit for a cleaning. Mind you, this means he payed for TWO visits when our intentions were to visit and receive basic cleaning at our first appt. The office closes as 4:30 on Fridays, we arrived with 2 hours and 15 mins left until closing and they were still unable to provide us with basic care that we had requested. We were not impressed with the service provided and will not be returning. I later received an invoice for $400 for services that in my opinion were unnecessary (i do not have any underlying conditions requiring extensive care). The invoice included an extensive list of services that were either NOT indicated and NOT provided. I compared my billing statement to my husbands and also realized that he was not billed correctly! PLEASE READ YOUR STATEMENTS CAREFULLY. Unless you want to be left with a huge bill- this place is not for you. They will scam you and try to get every penny out of you. Please, go elsewhere.

Experiencia negativa: Do not go here!! This place is a joke and try to sell/push treatments on you that you do not need by scaring you. Each time I went, they gave me one total (I specifically asked if any other amounts would be charged and was told no) and later received more charges. When I questioned it, no one was able to tell me why this happened; after it was confirm in office no other fees would be charged. I asked for a manager/supervisor to call me and never received a call. They tried to push scrapings on me that wasn’t needed. I know they weren’t needed because I saw other dentists who confirmed this. I’m in my mid 50’s… never a cavity in my life and no dental issues thank God. Recently saw another dentist and was in/out within an hour. He stated I needed very minimal cleaning and my teeth/gums were in great condition. He even complimented me on what a great job I was doing in caring for my teeth. This place is more concerned with making money than actually focusing on what you really need. When you questions things… you are made to feel like you are the problem. Just to note…. I’m not one to write reviews so this says a lot. Save your time and money.

Experiencia negativa: I was with a smiles generation dentist in San Diego in the past who sold me on unnecessary procedures, including pulling a perfectly good tooth and putting an implant in. Here at Clovis Crossing they did a lot of the same things. They looked for expensive procedures and said I needed them desperately when my previous dentist never mentioned any of these procedures . I believe everything was over exaggerated. When the hygienist checked my pocket depth, she pushed very hard and came up with a lot of 5’s and even some sixes. I think I only had two fives at my previous dentist. She was trying to make it look like my teeth are worse than they are. They also said I have a lot of bone loss which nobody has ever mentioned to me before.

Experiencia fantástica: I have been both a dental and orthodontic patient here for the past 10 years. I currently see Dr Sharma. Dr Sharma has removed and replaced two crowns, both of which were 40-45 years old. I’ve had no problems with the care. The only thing they need to improve is the waiting room chairs. The chairs are very comfortable but the wooden arms of the chairs are getting grimy.

My visit raised major concerns about professionalism, communication, patient rights, and overall atmosphere. I arrived at 12:55 p.m. for a 1:00 p.m. appointment and was not seen until 1:40 p.m. I informed the staff that I had an interview at 2:45 p.m., yet there was no regard for time management or my schedule. From the moment I walked in, I felt uneasy, and after reading newer reviews online, I realized that many patients have experienced similar issues. During my interactions with Dr. Anstey, his dental assistant (who never introduced himself), Brenda, and Leslie, I felt pressured and dismissed after declining Nitrous Oxide. My decision had nothing to do with the cost—I simply prefer local anesthesia and wanted to remain aware of my surroundings. Despite this, I had to repeat my “no” to at least five staff members, and the tone of the appointment completely shifted after my refusal. I was told that declining Nitrous Oxide would “change the procedure” and make their job harder, which was unprofessional and unnecessarily anxiety-inducing. No one thoroughly explained the root canal process, risks, or alternatives, which is a basic part of informed consent. I also want to mention that one receptionist briefly looked at my file and billing information and then told me to wait until the dentist could speak with me. The way this was handled made me feel like I couldn’t leave, even when I asked about rescheduling due to my discomfort. My right to decline or postpone treatment did not feel respected. The only staff member who remained consistently professional and communicative was Leslie. However, the overall experience felt disorganized, boundary-crossing, and dismissive of my autonomy as a patient. I ultimately completed the root canal without Nitrous Oxide, but the 40 minutes I spent in that chair were filled with anxiety, lack of clear communication, and pressure to consent to something I did not want. A dental office should never make a patient feel unsafe or unheard. I encourage future patients to carefully read recent reviews. High ratings don’t always reflect current practices. My experience was stressful, uncomfortable, and not what I expect from a professional healthcare setting.

Experiencia negativa: If I could give zero stars, I would. Made an appointment 2-3 months ago in advance for a check up on my bone graft, but never heard a call back from them to confirm it. It was supposedly for the beginning of this month, so I called their office to confirm the date and the person I spoke to said she didn’t see one for me. Saying that they have booked out for the month.. okay.. then where was my appointment that I booked 2+ months ago in advance?? Mind you the specialist only comes to work once a month too. Which means I’d have to wait even longer and the next month they may have been booked already too. I find it very unprofessional of this place and so very disappointing of the staff here!!! Like other reviews have said, they definitely overbooked appointments and will cancel on yours without contacting you to let you know. Wish I hadn’t got any procedures done here and regretted spending my hard earned money here that I had to pay OUT OF POCKET even with insurance. Although I was referred here via my dentist now I have to find somewhere else to do the dental implants. Do yourself a favor and find a better dental office with better staff that won’t cancel on your appointment without you knowing!

Then told me that I should have called instead of making the appointment online. Front desk was rude when arrived until the end. She definitely did not want to be there on a Saturday. The communication is bad, and the feeling is they are trying to upsell. Not explaining things very well and when upset, they argue with you. Worst customer service and experience I ever had with any dental group.

Experiencia negativa: 7/29/25 This office is usually friendly, I've have been coming for years. But some things this office lacks is appointment time and wait time. When I call for a simple appointment book the average time on hold is usually 10-15 min. Keep in mind its just calling to schedule and appointment. I will say this office is pretty clean but the wait can be a bit long. The average time for xrays, doctor breakdown of xrays and cleaning is usually 1-3 hours. Depending on how many people are in front of you. I would suggest early appointments or after lunch appointments. If more work is required you will have to come back. They also don't have a pediatric department or wont see children under 8 anymore.IF they say they will call you back, they wont. So make sure to get all your questions answered while you have them on the phone. Also I hate to throw this company under the bus but the only reason you are seeing a good rating is because they were giving out whiting strips in exchange for reviews.

Experiencia negativa: Took my kids to get fillings done the breakdown of services didn't make sense to me the charges were obviously inflated so I went somewhere else and was proven correct this place will charge way more so your out of pocket is higher and they will charge you for preventative care that's covered at 100% also $173 for nitrous when other places charge $40 total quoted from them was $2838 place I went to quoted $1400 with an extraction added to the bill they also charged for 2 cleanings when no cleaning was given just a floride treatment

Experiencia negativa: My entire tooth was drilled out. They didn’t explain the procedure at all. I was shocked to see it. They’d put a temporary crown while I waited for weeks for the real one. With very good insurance I have to pay 2k out of pocket!!! My temporary crown fell out daily and I never even used it. I just left it off instead of wasting my time. Everything was painful and I’m still in pain. Last but not least they cut my cheek during the drilling but never told me I had a big gash.

No one else can do better than Jaime. He is the best in that office. He saved my mother 2 times from the pain and frustration by her new snap on upper denture and partial lower denture. He meticulously checked her bites, shaved, smoothed out, and polished the dentures with his gentle gestures. My mother is happy that she can chew her food without pain now. Thank you, Jaime.

Often times our schedule changes or we have urgent matters; the staff is very accommodating to our needs. This office has orthodontist to oral surgeons. I especially appreciate their extended office hours and often take advantage of their early Saturday morning appointments. I highly recommend this dental office team and will continue to come here for all our family dental care.

Experiencia negativa: Horrible Service! In 2024 the office was open on Saturdays for all types of appointments, as of December only the dentist are available later on in the day and on Saturdays. Due to my employer I needed a dentist who has office hours later in the day or on weekend. As of 2025 that is not the case. I've attempted to reschedule a cleaning appointment that was canceled in December only to have the scheduler never call me back. Very disappointed in the service provided.

I had a molar treated here, and instead of placing the necessary crown, they used an inadequate alternative. This decision has caused ongoing issues that could have been avoided with proper care. Beyond that, they seem to prioritize upcharging rather than patient care. I was charged extra for a cleaning I didn’t request, and the entire treatment process was unnecessarily drawn out. The costs—even with insurance—were outrageous. To make matters worse, the frequent turnover of front desk staff has resulted in billing errors, including charges for services that were never rendered. I know they don’t have many bad reviews, but based on my experience, I strongly urge you to seek dental care elsewhere. Had I known what I do now, I would have considered legal action for malpractice. Save yourself the frustration, time, and money—find a provider who genuinely prioritizes your dental health.

Experiencia positiva: They add extra services without asking and then charge you for them. They were not like this before, I’ve been going here for about 5 years. Staff used to explain in detail dental work and charges but now it’s different. I think the hiring department has not been hiring reliable or experienced staff. The dentists are good but the staff around them have horrible customer service and don’t tell you what they’re doing. Update: Clovis Crossing responded and refunded in a timely manner. Advice to Dental Clinic: For future reference, please respect your patients by Always providing them with the information of extra fees not included in their insurance plan before hand, in Every visit.

Experiencia negativa: Their add for $59 for basic cleaning is not true. Its 59 for xrays and exam. Then they decide how much cleaning they have to do and what the REAL price will be. They dont just do a basic cleaning for $59. They will price hike you once you're in the chair. I found them to be dishonest, and i will go else where for more honest service. Experiencia negativa: SYSTEMIC SCAM ARTISTS. My biggest regret is not reading Clovis Crossing’s Google and Yelp reviews prior to my appointment. It is obvious that they have been scamming insurance companies and patients for 5+ years. I don’t understand how this place is still in business as they are unethical and dishonest. I could go on and on about my horrible experience but I’ll save you the trouble by summarizing their tactics: 1. Insurance misinformation - The doctors and admin staff will lie to you about your insurance coverage so that they can charge you more out of pocket. 2. Upsell unnecessary treatment - After they’ve convinced you that your insurance doesn’t cover treatment, they will upsell you on services. “Since you’re already paying $900 out of pocket for this service, for only $200 more we can upgrade your material.” 3. Phantom billing - Once you agree to their treatment plan, they will bill your insurance for services they did not perform. 4. Deny, deflect, avoid - They will deny any wrongdoing. If you file a complaint with your insurance they will deflect the insurance findings and gaslight you into believing that their practice is right. They will avoid your calls and send you to collections, despite any of your attempts at rectifying the situation. If you are a victim of Clovis Crossing’s scam tactics I encourage you to file a grievance with your insurance. Clovis Crossing attempted to charge me $900 for a crown but I submitted the claim to my insurance for review and found I only owed $410. Upon further review they found various charges for services that were not rendered. I have reached out to Clovis Crossing multiple times so that we may address the situation and they continue to tell me that “someone will call me back.” Maybe someone from their office will finally call me back once they read this review.

Experiencia negativa: Beware of this dishonest establishment. The man at the front desk who was there in February of 2024 was rude and very dishonest. They will assure patients that they take their insurance and procedures are covered, and then sit down with you and try to sell you over priced procedures that your insurance doesn’t cover. When my husband refused and stated he only wanted what was covered, he still ended up with $2800 bill of which our insurance told us was fully covered. Still trying to get my money back. Make sure they give you a written estimate. If they state they don’t do that , get out of there as fast as you can. The vast majority of YELP reviews are 1 star for a good reason.

Daniel, Dr. Sood, Dr. Tabel and each staff member explained procedures in as much detail as I needed. I did not feel rushed or pushed into deciding treatments or financial agreements without being given time and options to decide what would work for me, my health and my budget. I am really happy I found this dentist office.

Experiencia negativa: If I could post a 0/5 stars, I would. I went in for a dental cleaning and x-rays here about a year ago, after not seeing a dentist for about 1.5 years and mind you I have prior dentist trauma with some complicated dental history. They took this and ran with it by charging me for a “deep cleaning” on top of what my insurance already covered for a regular cleaning and x-rays. They then proceeded to tell me I had gum recession and bone loss, at which point I was obviously very upset (for reference I was only in my mid twenties at this time). To top it all off, they tried to sell me a laser treatment for my apparent gum disease. Now a year later, I’ve found out today from my normal dentist back home that none of this is true and I’ve been living with this anxiety that my mouth health is worse than it actually is since then. What a traumatizing experience that I hope to steer others away from having to go through! If you do happen to go to them, just keep in mind that they will probably try to upsell you. There is no need to pay extra for a deep cleaning or laser treatment for your gums that doesn’t have lasting benefits!

Experiencia negativa: Went in for tooth pain. Found a cracked tooth so I needed a crown. I asked about antibiotics because of pain. Dentist said she did not like prescribing them. 2 weeks later they put crown on and I told her it was still painful...she said no to antibiotics. 2 weeks later went in for cleaning and the hygienist said I had puss coming out of gum. Infection had spread from tooth to jawbone. Then she prescribed antibiotics. So a month and a half in pain and infection. They charged $1500 for one crown! On the day they cleaned my teeth I asked what the charge was going to be, they said $180. When done they said the charge was $1080 for the day. The girl that told me $180 wouldn't even admit or look at me when I protested charges. Originally dentist said I didn't need a root canal before crown, but after being infected for a month and a half they tried to pass me off to an oral surgeon. Will never go back here or recommend this office for anyone.

We have confirmation that our insurance is going to cover an expensive service done here, and instead of using that information, their office sent our non-payment to a collections agency. They would rather make you pay out of pocket than do their jobs because it's easier to take your money
