Experiencia negativa: My son’s wire and bands keep coming off right after the appointments to replace them, and they added an extra charge for that reason. Very disappointing and unacceptable. They are not replacing the wires and bands correctly and blaming fault on my son. Please take responsibility and do the job properly. Overall, I would not recommend this place to anyone.

And the orthodontist looked at dylan for probably 2 minutes and then walked away without asking if i had any questions. I have been going to this office for over 4 years and every visit i am more and more disappointed. I will never recommend this office.

I called today and expressed my disappointment and frustration and the girl could care less. I asked for a supervisor to call me back and no one ever did. I didn’t expect anything less. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone. Terrible customer service, and after reading these reviews, I see I’m not the only one experienced disappointment and frustration. The person managing these reviews just does the same copy paste reply on how they are sorry to hear about the bad service but do nothing to rectify the situation. This place has gone down the drain….don't waste your money here!

Experiencia positiva: Premier Orthodontics used to be the premier and preferred orthodontics in the area. Ever since they strategically went corporate to “streamline” and better assist patients, things haven’t been the same. The service is not like it used to be. The receptionist don’t properly greet you and/or acknowledge and appear to be busy all the time. I had a problem with my retainer but because I was no longer in treatment, they wanted to charge me for a consultation to obtain a new one. The charge was going to be applied only if I didn’t buy the retainer at the time of initial visit. I went a few weeks without my retainer and finally got my replacement. The job was done, but the experience could’ve been better!

Experiencia negativa: Going here was a huge mistake, I regretted it since day 1, their service after I made my payment was horrible, they always made wait for more than an hour us in and were rude and savage to my kid. I paid for it so I had to continue with it. The retainers they gave my kid didn't fit right since day 1 but they never cared. To make an appointment they will schedule them up to 4 weeks... I could go on, don't "waste" your money in this bad and unprofessional place

Experiencia negativa: They cancelled my appointment and didnt tell me until i was checking in at the front desk. I drive 45 minutes to get here and it is nowhere stated in their contract that they do this. This is crazy. Technicians are nice but front desk is rude.

Experiencia positiva: As someone who has never written a review I felt obligated to write this one. I've had a disappointing and frustrating experience with this orthodontic practice. Some concerns I've encountered include: Unprofessional conversation with the receptionist (First name initial A last name initial C) After explaining I hadn’t received a call back later the previous day like I was told, She snarkily laughed at me and continued to insist she did leave a voicemail in an argumentative, completely unprofessional tone. I was stunned I was met with such attitude. • Difficulty communicating with the doctor, including unreturned calls and lack of follow-up. Feeling as though I always had to chase him down to have a question answered. • Feeling undervalued as a patient, with my concerns often met with a dismissive attitude or judgment. • I did not feel that my time was valued or I was ever made a priority when needed. • Unsupportive interactions with the doctor, who seemed unpleased with my treatment decisions and unconcerned about my teeth's fragility after pregnancy. Furthermore, while I expressed my desire to have my braces removed due to concerns about enamel erosion and calcium loss, as advised by my dentist this would be the best route to take. A male assistant who usually wears a black long sleeve tee (didn’t catch his name) assumed I was stopping treatment to avoid payment after expressing my exact reasoning - "Don't think you don't have to pay just cause you're getting them off already, you're still gonna have to pay." This comment was not only unprofessional but also incorrect, as my treatment was already paid in full. I have had another previous experience with the same male assistant that I don’t think is worth telling here but his commentary seems to be a consistent in making me feel uncomfortable. I will say that I have experienced 3 wonderful female dental assistants here, very hospitable and helpful whom I wish I had caught their names. I hope that sharing my experience can help improve the practice's communication, patient care, and staff professionalism.

Experiencia negativa: This company continues to take advantage, all they care about is money. My daughter was on a phase two treatment plan, where she needs to go every 4-6 weeks, I moved out of state and being the only person on contract , money was being taken out for years on my card. Her dad never paid for braces, nor did he take her to the appointments he scheduled until 8 months after I found out she wasn’t going. Premier ortho never called, no text or email until after 7 months this august. I flew back to California to meet with manager Jessica and find out why they were taking money over 7 months, almost $900 , and why is she in a critical treatment plan to help her so she didn’t need oral surgery, her response was never with an apology, but why didn’t her dad bring her?? So unprofessional, she was only a month on the job. I asked to speak to her manager and to this day never have gotten a call from her after being told she would call. I told her I want her braces off, if her dad isn’t going to take her. I’m worried will cause more damage than good. And I asked her to put his card on file , would help him to be accountable and take her. So she had a meeting with him, told him that I wanted to take her braces off. And they signed a new contract and he paid off balance. She said that our card was taken off and was taken care of. When I originally asked her to take card off, was a week before her appt on sept 16. Found out that we were still being charged for last 3 months. I called and emailed, she replied by email saying only getting refund for 2 months. Because the new contract was not done before they took out of my account. Even though again, I asked a week earlier. I asked to speak to her manager Claudia for the issue with why we weren’t notified by missed appointments. And why was my contact number removed by her dad, when I was the original contract holder . This company makes tons of violations, no accountability, no remorse, all they care about is getting paid. Doesn’t care about my daughter’s best interest, doesn’t care about doing the right thing. So now have paid over 1000 for nothing being done. If I can go back in time, I would stay far away from this place . And also to be told by the orthodontist the same exact plan, that was told to me a year later on sept 16, doesn’t add up. Management needs to do better.

Experiencia fantástica: They have some of the best pricing in the area, was the lowest with our dental insurance. Usually very busy but the staff try hard to be timely and are super friendly. My son got invisalign and liked his experience with this treatment. Sometimes appointments are booked for weeks but they do try to get you in as soon as possible if you cancel an appointment.

Experiencia fantástica: I had my braces done here. Each time I went in for an appointment all the staff were kind, from the front desk to the dental technicians. The office was clean. The technicians were able to answer all of my questions. I was able to call an get an appointment within a reasonable time. When my braces came off I was pleased with the results. I needed two implants as well. Premier Orthodontics referred me to specialists both for the implant and the implant crown. I was also pleased with the work of the specialists they referred me to. I am glad I made the call and got my braces done here. It was not cheap but it was definitely worth it. I will be referring friends and family. Thank you. Shoutout to the Office Manager, Greg. What a nice guy.

Experiencia negativa: Premier ortho for the most part does a good job with braces. My issue with them is that if for any reason you need to reschedule or change your appointment, they usually don't have another appointment available for you for another one or two months, which i think is ridiculous. Having to reschedule appointments so far out, has delayed my daughter treatment by at least 3 months at this point, and she still have another year left of treatment. If I knew this was going to be happening, I would had taken her to another ortho office where re-scheduling an appointment does not entail another one or two months of wait.

Experiencia negativa: Previous appts had went well until this last one my son had. We were scheduled at 1130 and were kept waiting 40 min before we got called back after I had told them I had another appointment at 1pm. I have a tight schedule and I would figure if they schedule you at a certain time they will respect that and take you in a timely manner , we all have stuff to do. If not they should not be scheduling at a time they are not available so both parties can make sure they have their schedules right.

Experiencia negativa: I had to pay $75 for an “in-office” fee because I was not a regular patient. I was not made aware of this fee until after my appointment was finished. And I could not use my insurance to cover the fee. My appointment did not include any treatment, it was just to check the status of my retainers. I wish I would’ve known of the fee before making the appointment.

Experiencia positiva: The wait times are long from the waiting room to the time in the chair waiting for a doctor’s review. The assistants are not all very experienced therefore there are many instances of your lips and gums getting poked, pinched, scratched, or hit. Appointments are set months apart & the explanation is very scripted as “giving the wires time to do their job”. Even when the doctor advises for more frequent visits the assistant is still reluctant to schedule accordingly as if directly coming from their own personal time. Thankfully, the doctors are professional & experienced & you occasionally get assigned to an experienced assistant though I wish those instances were more often.

Experiencia fantástica: Personal experience: The staff is well prepared for any other situation other than their practice. My daughter had a personal medical crisis recently, they called my work right away advised me of her condition. When I arrived the staff was expecting me gave me an update. I saw a medical professional assisting my daughter, and 3 or more staff members comforting her. They went to the urgent care downstairs for a wheel chair and didn’t leave our side until we left. Experiencia negativa: During my treatment I had 3 orthodontist oversee my progress 2 of them left to start their own practice. So I felt as if I wasn’t given that optimal one on one experience Like most practices offer. I also had a tech misinform me on how I should be wearing my rubber bands. Which shifted my bite completely and caused delay towards my treatment. During the removal of my clear braces the techs took my impressions for my Invisalign retainer a week later. My teeth shifted my smile was not even and I addressed my concerns just to be ignored. I got the plastic Invisalign crooked retainers replaced with traditional steel retainers. That costed me $600 additional dollars. And with each check up I felt like the orthodontist kept making adjustments that didn’t straighten my teeth completely. Staff didn’t adhere to my frustrations and told me my treatment was considered complete according to paper work. And if I wanted a free evaluation to seek treatment again that was possible. Or my second option was to pay additional $75.00 for them to “adjust” my retainers. Who knows how many adjustments it will take to fix their mistakes.. In general this practice doesn’t seem to suit adults and their needs. I only came here cause my general dentist referred me here for treatment. Hardworking adults look elsewhere this office targets mostly kids who’s parents pay for everything with no questions asked.

Experiencia fantástica: We have had a great experience with the staff at premier orthodontics. Greg was the person who worked on my daughters mouth the most and he was her favorite. He took the time to explain everything he was going to do before he did it and that was very important to my daughter. She doesn’t like it when doctors talk directly to me and exclude her from the process. The more informed she is the better prepared she can be for whatever it is they need to do. Greg was great and is our absolute favorite. He made sure my daughter was comfortable and as relaxed as could be through the duration of the appointment. Lala was someone else we liked as well. She was thorough like Greg and included my daughter in the process as well. Both Greg and Lala are outstanding.

Experiencia negativa: In the last two appointments my treatment has gone from BAD to WORSE. About two months ago my front left tooth was pushed back that hurt my lower tooth, and just three day ago they tried to fix their previous mistake but my left front tooth sticks out so bad that it further ruined my smile and added insult to injury, this being a series of mistakes that they continue apologizing for. On November 17th, I was confirmed twice to show up for my appointment, and when I arrived I was informed that the place was closed and one of the employees implied that I had made a mistake for not checking my messages, but quickly I showed them my phone and there were no calls from Premier Orthodontist that day and any other day, prompting the employee to fabricate another excuse. JUST A BAD, VERY BAD EXPERIENCE OVERALL. Going to the newspaper soon.

Understaffed, under trained, rude and overbooked! Constant switching doctors. Program misaligned... be it. this is a sweat shop of under trained technicians! find yourself another place for braces. this center should be reported to Invisalign and barred from providing service: there is nothing Premier about them.

Dr. Zierhut was knowledgeable, honest, and helpful. She felt that orthodontics would not necessarily help me and recommended a TMJ specialist. I appreciate her honesty and kindness.

Experiencia fantástica: I had an emergency situation with my permanent retainer coming loose. Although Premier Orthodontics was not my original orthodontist they gave me an appointment for the next day. The service by the Doctor, Technician and the entire staff was awesome. Gary fixed my retainer and sent me on my way as a happy camper. Every aspect of my experience was top notch. You can believe Premier Orthodontics of Oxnard is my new Ortho office.
