Most recently, my son had a dental emergency. He chipped his front tooth and Dr. Geri and her staff were quick in their response and immediately got him in for treatment. Experiencia negativa: DID NOT INFORM US WE WERE OUT OF NEWORK. My wife took our son here for the second time since he was born the first time was to be evaluated for a lip tie. We paid out of pocket because my son wasn’t on our dental insurance yet he was a newborn. My wife brought him for his first cleaning under the assumption we were in network. After providing our insurance card weeks prior we were under the assumption we were in network. It was only AFTER the visit we were informed we were out of network. This is completely unacceptable and predatory. Front desk staff apologized and said they assumed we were self pay and then continued to mention their office has been out of network with my insurance for SIX YEARS. Well we assumed otherwise hence why we provided our insurance card. This is very disappointing shady and we will not be going back for those reason. Please beware. It’s up to your business to provide an estimate prior to the visit. Don’t let your patients down.

They have always stayed calm and patient with the kids and explained and showed everything they were doing to help ease their anxiety. Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Geri and her practice are wonderful - both technically and with her bedside manner. We'd previously seen a pediatric ENT twice to evaluate and attempt to correct my oldest child's tongue and lip tie, but we were told the ties were not "severe" enough to warrant correcting at 3 months of age, especially because my child was still able to take milk by a bottle (I was unsuccessful in attempting to latch all this time). When my childhood began showing signs of speech delay, we took him back to the same ENT who then commented with some puzzlement as to why this wasn't corrected earlier. My cousin and my regular dental hygienist both tipped me off to Dr. Geri - both had only good things to say about her practice. I had seen her before in some of my own research trying to find a provider who would take my insurance, but I was hesitant because of the out-of-pocket cost ($1.2k for the concierge anesthesia alone). I am currently working with my medical health insurance (AETNA - MHBP) to reimburse my claims. Dr. Geri also confirmed my initial suspicions of the severity of my child lip and tongue tie (grade 4 for both on a scale of 1-4; I had worked with a telehealth appointment with the La Leche League for a remote evaluation when I was struggling to get him to latch). In going to the surgery, my child was comfortable with everyone in the practice. My husband was allowed to be by his side before he was put under, and the whole surgery was completed in about an hour right there in her office (the ENT would have had us go to a hospital), and my child had both of us by side as the nitrous oxide wore off. I am currently working to suggest her name to the Dutchess County Early Intervention Services, because they had originally suggested to us to use a pediatric ENT for the correction (even suggested a pediatric dentist in Albany), but Dr. Geri was wonderful and closer to home. Ultimately, when it comes to health, it can be difficult to put a price on it. I'm just kicking myself for not going to her sooner for my son - maybe he'd have a little less catch up to do. But in the end, it's always better late than never. 100% recommend Dr. Geri Waldman for pediatric tongue tie and lip tie.

My child ended up needing a small procedure done, and the doctor was able to do it right after the consultation. The there the entire staff was extremely kind and patient. She is kind, nurturing and puts the kids at ease from the moment you meet her. Her clinical skills are amazing and she includes you in every aspect of the treatment plan, never makes you feel rushed, and listens with genuine care to any of you or your child’s concerns. The office staff is fantastic, as are the hygienists and assistants. They all work so hard to assure your visit is stress free, timely, and try to accommodate you in dental emergencies or scheduling difficulties. You are met with a smile and I assure you, you will leave with a smile, and a healthy one at that! My 3 children who aged out hold Dr. Geri as the standard at which they judge all other dentists. I just can’t say enough good things!!

Experiencia negativa: They wasted our time by not letting us know they require the vitamin K shot, drove an hour to get there to be told they wouldn't even consider helping when I already told them that information before arriving. Edit- Since it is a requirement at your practice it should have been mentioned when I made the appointment, i also did fill out paperwork stating he recieved the oral vitamin K drops just not the shot. I quickly found another amazing Dr. who did the research about Vitamin K and my son had the procedure with very minimal bleeding and healed up great. Just for future reference, the shot is not the only option.

My daughter had a procedure done and I was nervous she wasn’t going to be able handle the pain and the fear of the unknown. I was blown away how great the experience was. I don’t think it could have went any better. She is a great dentist and eases everyone and ensures everyone involved that everything is going to be ok every step of the way. No rushing at all. Answers all questions and connects with the little ones so gracefully. I’m so thankful.

Experiencia negativa: I have taken my older children to this dentist for 10+ years. I have two younger children that I naturally started them at the same practice. The staff is super friendly however, if you have a difficult child I would NOT recommend this place. My now teenage children had great teeth. Never any issues, maybe a cavity or two in their lifetime. The older kids sat through each procedure fine. I never had any issues with the practice till recently. My youngest children seem to have my teeth, soft and prone to cavities. They sit through the cleanings and exams perfectly. But, my youngest (5) is afraid of the drills when doing cavities. Dentist doesn't seem to have a lot of patience with her and she does not have a nurturing touch. Wanted us to spend about $3k to sedate her for the procedures. After one appointment where my daughter moved and the dentist slipped the drill off her tooth (daughter's fault not dentist) she pushed for sedation. I get that she could of hurt her but she lacks the patience and nurturing touch to try and work through it. More like sedate her I don't have time for this approach. I mean isn't that why you go to a pediatric dentist? One tooth needed to be removed but she would NOT refer us to an oral surgeon which insurance would pay for the sedation. She wanted to have the tooth pulled in her office, meaning we would need to pay the $3k for sedation. In addition if you' re late 15 mins they charge you or make you reschedule. yet they call you constantly to move appointments around because of cancellations. I always tried to accommodate their requests to move appointments for them but, I'm late 15 and oh well...and we weren't late all the time to these appointments, maybe three times in the 10 years. Also, if you are looking to get on the schedule they are booking out MONTHS in advanced. Also, be prepared to confirm your appointments each time because if you do not maybe forget or miss the call they will call and call till you respond. Practice seemed to have grown too much and they don't have the time anymore to deal with everyone. I have requested my children's records for weeks now, sent over the authorization and they don't even have the curiosity to respond to me. I have asked three times now and nothing. It's ridiculous and very disappointing to see a 180 from the practice. Again if you have easy kids and great teeth I would recommend if not, I would suggest seeking out another dentist.

I was very unsure bc they kept canceling on me and they never told much on how it would go or what to expect and never ask my son to be cleared by his dr. So I never went through with it. A friend recommended dr. Geri and even though they didn’t take my insurance I figured I’d try it and I’m so glad I did. They were very informative and had to have seen by his dr before which made me feel good that they took his health serious. The place was very clean. It was Such a wonderful experience! All staff were so nice and helpful! Dr. Geri is wonderful!

Sedation can be a very unnerving experience but Dr. Geri made the entire experience as comfortable and reassuring as possible. I cannot recommend Hudson Valley Pediatric Dentistry enough!!

I was especially taken back (in the good way) by her consideration for how not only my son was doing but also how I was doing as a new mom 4 weeks post-part I’m. The office is lovely and even had a private room with a rocking chair and Boppy for me to nurse the baby after he was done with his procedure. Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Geri is amazing. My kids absolutely love going to the Dentist because of her. Her waiting area is a child’s haven. My kids love to get there early so they can go into the igloo and play the arcade. They get to watch their favorite shows during any procedure and get a prize when done. She and her staff are always warm, friendly, and gentle during even the most invasive procedures. One of my daughters said while getting a tooth extracted, “That was so relaxing I almost fell asleep.” My other daughter actually fell asleep in her chair. Great overall experience.

Our son had a tongue tie that went undiagnosed for 2 years by multiple physicians and as a result, he unfortunately developed a speech delay. We found Dr Geri and she immediately found his tongue tie. She carefully explained his plan of care and what recommendations she made for him. Our son had his tongue tie release a week ago and we are absolutely amazed by the results. We went from hearing 1-2 new words to about 20 new ones this week alone! When you first walk in it's like a winter wonder lane. My son immediately went in and played. When were called into the office he was nervous at first but they worked with him. They put on netflix and let him choose what to watch. Now if I say we are going to the dentist he is so excited. This office will work with you and your child to make each visit happy and stress free. I am truly thankful for how awesome everyone is here and helping my son know that this is how a dentist should be

The procedure only takes a few minutes, but even still, handing him over to someone else for any amount of time was so hard. Dr. Geri took all of our fear away. She was so comforting and reassuring. She is incredibly professional and just amazing at what she does. The procedure went perfectly and my son was immediately latching more efficiently. Experiencia fantástica: Today we had an appointment for my 3 week old baby to consult about a possible lip tie. Upon entering the waiting room I quickly noticed the cleanliness and adorable decorations with dog murals, video game set up for older kids, and a play area for younger kids. Dr Geri was prompt, professional and kind when I met with her. She talked to me about what concerns I had, what I'd been noticing when feeding my baby and then assessed my baby. She quickly confirmed not only the lip tie that my pediatrician had referred me for but also a mild tongue tie that had gone unnoticed. She offered to do the revision the same day after explaining the process of the procedure and answering all my questions. My baby was taken in to the back and I was called back within 10 minutes to a content and sleeping baby post revision. I was shocked! My baby and I were then able to sit in a quiet room where I watched a video explaining post revision care and stretches while I was able to feed my baby. Dr Geri returned shortly after to check on us, answer any questions I had about the video and showed me exactly how to complete the required stretches during the healing process. I truly can not say enough good things about Dr. Geri and the care she had for both myself and my newborn baby. I felt so comfortable that I promptly set up an appointment for my 19 month olds first cleaning which I had been anxious about making. After seeing the care and patience Dr. Geri and her staff had while I was there I no longer have concerns. I can not recommend Hudson Valley Pediatric Dentistry enough!

They were very understanding of us being a few minutes late and we were seen within seconds of being seated in the room. My toddler was surprisingly calm because of how friendly staff is.
