Experiencia fantástica: My kids have been seeing Dr. Wasdin for years and then followed him when he joined Dr. Patel. They are both wonderful dentists and my kids have never had a bad experience.

Experiencia fantástica: We went in today for my little girls first dentist appointment. I went in thinking this would honestly traumatize her. But from check in to leaving was the best appointment ever. All the ladies from the front desk to the back we saw were wonderful. My girl never lets me brush her teeth but she laid so still for the dental hygienist and did not fight or cry one bit. We saw Dr. John and he even let the dental hygienist take pictures for me on HIS phone to send to me I wanted her first appt documented and didnt have my phone. They even have toys out in the waiting room and the room we were in for her cleaning so I didn’t have to try to keep her just sitting. She was able to walk around and play. This office is by far the best in statesboro. If you are looking for a place to take your little one I recommend this sweet office over and over. Thank y’all for everything

They were very helpful in accommodating us when we were visiting from out of town and had a dental concern for our son. We are so thankful that they were able to fit us in. The actual visit was great. My son was very nervous about the thought of getting a shot at the dentist and Dr. John and his staff were wonderful and gentle in their care. I appreciate how thorough they were in talking us through through their guidance. Dr. John was able to give us background on potential causes for our concern. We wish we closer and could go to Dr. John as our primary dentist!

Experiencia fantástica: This is, in my opinion, the BEST pediatric dentistry in GA! I honestly wouldn't recommend anyone else. We live in Douglas, GA, and my son had to have a little work done under anesthesia and I was so nervous. Dr. John and the dental assistants were amazing I'm so grateful and thankful for them. Dr. John called while he was at home and checked on my son and the assistants called the day after the procedure to check on him! Who does that??? They're so compassionate and caring. Thank you guys soooo much!!! From me and Jakeem! (This procedure was done in December of 2024, and I completely forgot to write a review; someone just asked me about a pediatric dentist, and I referred them to this office ).

Experiencia fantástica: Amazing. The office is clean and runs like a Swiss watch. There are lots of fun toys in the lobby to help kids build positive associations with going to the dentist. They are good with neurodivergent and sensory sensitive kids; the lighting in the exam room is soft (even the exam light), everyone is patient, they know exactly how much to encourage and when not to push further. There are even tvs on the ceiling to help engage kids during cleanings. I kinda wish they took adults. :)

Experiencia fantástica: Both of my children have grown up with Dr John. His compassion and care for my children have exceeded beyond his dental chair. He really cares about every child. He always asks about school, grades, what’s happening in their lives. When he joined with Dr A I had no reservations about following him and his staff over to their new office. Both of my children have seen Dr A as well, and we all love her just as much as we love Dr John. You know it’s a special kind place when you beg the dentist to let your child stay a little bit longer when they have aged out. I don’t want to think about my kids having to leave a place filled with so much love and warmth. This is definitely the best pediatric dentist office around. You will not find a more caring and friendly staff. Thank you to Dr John, Dr A and the whole staff…you guys are amazing. Thank you for loving your patients so well.

Experiencia fantástica: Our boys have been seen by Dr. A and Dr. John since they were babies and we wouldn't have it any other way! They get excited to go to the office and that gives us such peace knowing they are comfortable. As parents it is so hard finding trustworthy care for our kids. The entire experience is catered, from years of being in practice, to providing patients with the best care and most comfort. The staff is all committed to creating a generation of kids not afraid of the dentist and it shows in the care they provide our children and their other patients. I can't recommend them highly enough. We love the SPD family!!!

Experiencia negativa: Was calling to see up a new patient appointment and was abruptly told on an initial phone call that they are not accepting any patients over 8 years old. When did pediatric care stop at 8 years old? Edit for reply: Then, in my opinion, you should state that fact/limitation on your website or at the very least, your online appointment form. You are potentially wasting people's time as well as collecting their contact info.

Experiencia negativa: I wasn’t going to leave a review but after seeing others, maybe mine should be heard to. My children have been patients here since they were babies. My oldest is the only one who ever saw another dentist prior and it wasn’t for long. Unfortunately, we had to leave due to them going out of network with some of the insurance companies. I was very understanding as I also work in healthcare dealing with billing and insurance companies. Sometimes companies change and sometimes places take the insurance company but only accept a specific insurance plans with that company. Totally understandable. However, what I have a problem with is this… I found another pediatric dentist for my children. No issues with that dentist but we really liked it here and they were more comfortable here, of course, because they had ALWAYS came here. I called and asked if I was to put them on a different plan would they accept them back as patients. I was told the oldest (13) wouldn’t be able to come back at all. Said “It was time for her to see an adult dentist.” She’s under the age of 18. At every office I’ve ever been to or hear about, pediatric is up to 18 years old. My other two are 8 and 9. They didn’t say they couldn’t see the 8 or 9 which totally contradicts what the other two reviews say. Both replies on the previous reviews just stated that basically they just weren’t accepting new patients. Not accepting new patients is completely different than just not seeing anyone over 8. So which is it? The other issue is I basically was talked to like a 2 year old or as if I was beneath them. She was explaining to me the different insurances and insurance plans. Insurance is confusing and not everybody knows about it, however, I do know what I needed to do. I simple wanted to know if they would see them again if I got an insurance they were in network with. EVEN TOLD THEM IF NOT ID PAY OUT OF POCKET FOR IT. Just wanted to know if they would accept them. That’s it. Simple. After all of that, she then tells me she can’t see them to do anything until 6 months because it’s been over a year since they have been there and they aren’t doing work after another dentist. Isn’t that what transferring records is for? Also the other dentist didn’t do anything except clean their teeth. It also wasn’t over a year. So basically found EVERY excuse in the book for them not to come. Should have just cut it short by saying no they weren’t taking patients right now. Kept me from wasting my time. By the end of the conversation I just said alrighty thanks for your help, have a good day, and hung up. I’ve never been talked down to and belittled like that. It really hurt my feelings to coming from them after being patients for so long. Never having any issues with any of the staff. Basically, to some this up, as long as they are getting their money and you don’t leave… you’re in good standing with them. At my job I try to help people even if we can’t see them. I give them options of other places or even options on what they could do to be seen by us. I definitely have never spoken down to a patient like they were beneath me. Clearly not everyone has that time of respect or compassion for others. Don’t bother with a reply either. We will be sure to never return or recommend you guys again. Thanks for saving us the trouble.

Experiencia negativa: So I am not sure when pedatric patients all of the sudden became anyone over 8 years old, but here we are. We are fairly new to area and called to get my kids a cleaning. I was told they are “to old” and only take new patients under 8. I have a 10 and 11 year old. So anyone new to the area looking for dental care with a kid over 8 we are just out of luck and now they must go to an adult dentist? Stupidest thing I have ever heard. This area is seriously in the dark ages.

Experiencia fantástica: Tabitha is always so welcoming and loving. She’s a breath of fresh air on the phone and in person! Lauren is the absolute best with our active 4 year old daughter. Lauren’s patience is exceptional and she truly makes her feel at ease during her visits. We love and adore her. Dr. A is also so kind and takes her time to answer any questions. This entire team is wonderful!

Experiencia fantástica: The staff, Dr A and Dr Wasdin are all amazing. My daughter chipped her tooth and I was able to speak with Dr Wasdin outside of business hours and he calmed my nerves. They were able to get us in quickly to fix her tooth and Dr A has it looking like it was never chipped. Thank you all for your kindness and everything you do!

Dr. A and Rachel (I believe that’s her name) kept her very calm and explained everything so that she felt comfortable. Dr. A even checked her babydoll’s mouth to see if she had any loose teeth and “pulled” one of her’s, too! Rachel made the doll a little tooth to take home for the tooth fairy to visit her as well. I am so happy with our experience and grateful the staff cares so much!

Now our almost 2 yr old son went for his 1st visit. Needless to say that is something new to him, but Dr. Wasdin and the staff were great at handling it and both my sons had a great experience.

Experiencia fantástica: My daughter was very nervous about laying in the chair. She is very shy as well, so I was nervous about the appointment. The hygienist brought tears to my eyes because of how sweet she was to my little girl. She let her touch and feel things, explained everything on her level, and treated my daughter with such great care. Dr. A was very sweet and gentle as well! When we left and got in the car, my daughter said “Can we go back to the dentist tomorrow?” This made my momma heart so happy! Highly recommend!

She and all of her staff make you feel like family from the second you walk in until you leave . I can not imagine using a different pediatric dentist. I’d use her myself, if she would let me :)

Experiencia positiva: I have no complaints about the office or the staff. The reason for only 3 stars is that I was told our then nearly 3 year old needed to be put under anesthesia, after she turned three, for several different issues. They wanted to do 3 crowns and another 3 fillings. We did discuss possibly doing extractions instead of crowns. I decided to seek a second opinion and I am so glad I did. I found a dentist in South Carolina and they were able to fill all the cavities. No crowns or extractions were necessary. They were able to complete this using only laughing gas which means my toddler did not have to be put under anesthesia. It did take several visits to have all the work completed, but my child looked forward to each visit and now her teeth look great! While the office is nice and the staff are very friendly, I would not recommend this facility. (ETA: I was contacted by the dentist personally over this review. I would only recommend this practice for general cleanings.) And would encourage other parents to seek second opinions if they are not comfortable with their given treatment plan.

Experiencia fantástica: Dr. A and her staff are amazing. From the moment you walk in the office you can feel a warm and calming atmosphere that is definitely important for my son. He has had many issues with his teeth and was very scared. Dr. A and her team made him feel very comfortable and was able to perform all the procedures chair side. He looks forward to every visit and it's because of the way they made him feel since he was little. Since we are not from Statesboro, we did choose to support our local pediatric dentist in our home town last year. Due to the extent of what my son had going on, he immediately referred us back to Dr. A. That speaks volumes on what an amazing dentist she is and how much othe dentist trust her decisions on treatment and the work she performs on these kids. Thank you all from the front desk to the back for everything you did for my son. We cant wait to see you all on his next visit. We love you all.

My 3 year old gets so excited to go to the “tooth doctor” The staff is so friendly and welcoming and then Dr. A makes the visit stress free and fun for my little man! Let’s not forget the fun kid atmosphere of the waiting room with the tree in the middle and the tvs on the ceilings!

Fast, friendly, family oriented, very clean & updated facilities. My oldest child (on the spectrum) had trauma from a previous dentist. He may not look forward to his trips now, but he definitely doesn't mind. This entire team is five star!!!

The very first tome he came he relaxed and she and her staff made him feel so comfortable and loved!! So thankful that we no longer dread going to the dentist! The only thing is I have an 11 year and 12 year old I wish they would take so I could do all three of them at the same place on the same day! Overall it’s great and we love them!

Experiencia fantástica: I had two daughters scheduled for fillings, there was no wait, the appointment time was when the first one was called back. Once she was finished my youngest was called back. My 6 year old daughter was scheduled for some fillings and possible cap. He explained everything to me prior to starting. Dr. Wasdins demeanor with my kids make them feel extremely comfortable. My daughters love the staff and Dr. Wasdin!

Experiencia fantástica: My son is 13 and has been seen by Dr. Wasdin since his first dentist appointment when he was tiny. The staff is always so friendly and patient and Dr. Wasdin is great! My son has always been comfortable with going to the dentist here. The building is very nice and clean and is in a convenient location. When my son was small he loved the little video game corner in the waiting room and he always looked forward to being able to get a prize at the end of his appointment from the bubble gum machine and it’s so cute because at 13, he still gets a little bouncy ball at the end of his appointment. I highly recommend this dental center.

Experiencia fantástica: Dr A and her staff are beyond professional and caring. They are amazing and patient. I have two disabled children and the whole office treats them with total respect and care. They aren’t afraid to help them and see past any difference they have. My granddaughter, who had a horrible experience with a different dental office in her town, drove 2 hours to see Dr A and her staff. My daughter and granddaughter were both very happy with her new experience and my granddaughter is no longer afraid to see her dentist. Dr A was very gentle with her, she and her staff explained every tool prior to working on her and every step they were doing while working on her. This is a family dentistry and it shows. I, like my daughter would drive hours to this office.

This from a girl who grew up seeing the same dentist until I was 24 years old. It’s family. It’s cool that as a college student I cared for their kiddos and as an adult they are caring for mine. God has an awesome way of bringing people back into your lives. I can honestly say they are the type of people I’m talking about when I say “if you come to the Boro and you let the Boro get to you the Boro will stay with you.

Experiencia fantástica: We recently had our third visit for my now 3yr old. With each visit baby girl has gotten more comfortable. She is very timid in any medical setting, but she enjoyed playing. The Dr. is very good with her and explains everything. The setting is great for new toddler patients and older.

My 4 year old is autistic and I was most concerned about him but they accommodated his needs perfectly! We love Dr A and everyone we come in contact with!
