Every time I bring my daughter for her dental appointments, always are accurate helpful, and always updated on her appointments. I will recommend anyone to take their child to this place. staff are very, generous and helpful. Also, their supervisor very helpful with all the clients. I give 5 Start for such a great service.

Experiencia negativa: Most of these reviews are completely false. This is a factory. They make you wait 45 minutes. The waiting room is ALWAYS full of people. The customer service is barely existent. We gave this place multiple tries and were alway disappointed.

My son was super nervous and she was super nice and patient. As a parent that is extremely important to me and very appreciated. The staff and the doctor were extremely helpful and supportive. Experiencia negativa: It was an okay experience overall, but definitely not great. The office felt very small and cluttered, and there was basically no privacy, which I didn’t love. I brought my 11-month-old in because he already has several teeth and I wanted to make sure everything looked good and that I was brushing correctly. The visit itself was quick about 30-40 minutes. The staff was really sweet with my baby, which I appreciated. But the dentist felt a bit rushed and didn’t fully answer all of my questions, which left me unsure. They also advertise that new patients get a plushie and moms get a Starbucks gift card. My baby did get a plushie he absolutely loves, but I didn’t receive the gift card Overall, I’m not sure if I’ll be returning, but I’m glad my baby was able to have a first dental visit

Experiencia negativa: I have had nothing but challenges with this place for over 5 years . When my child was finally seen , and started receiving treatment at this dental place , they now say they can’t treat him . They use to be able to sedate him and do all his work . Now they said they no longer can do his work . I understand he is severely autistic, the whole reason we used this dentist office was because it was the only one I could find willing to take him . Now they can’t take him ? When I called to make this very recent appointment, I remind them he needs a private room and that he will not tolerate service he needs sedation. They said ok , then we go for the appointment , just to be told they can’t do his work . Then gave me 3 places that MIGHT be able too , one with a waiting list 2 years long !! They could had saved me a trip down there , this information could had been given to me over the phone ! GAS is NOT AFFORDABLE! These 3 places are so far away it’s gonna cost me a lot just to take him , and then Cost me for the treatment. To say I am upset is an understatement!! Where are the dentist that help with severe autistic patients???

Experiencia fantástica: My son had a treatment done today by Dr. Bunch he was amazing with my son the way he engaged with my son, made him feel safe and comfortable was amazing. Along with his assistant Rhiannon they both made my sons experience so much better. I highly recommend them.

Experiencia negativa: This office just wants to overbook their appointments to the point where the dentist rushed the exam and the waiting room was packed out the door and excessive wait time. I booked my 3 kids appointments together so I can supervise their exams like they always have for the past 2 or 3 years I've been at this office. This time they split up all my children and I had to juggle their exams. This time the denitst never spoke to me about his findings in my son's exam and the dental hygienist was the one giving details in which she told me that she was under qualified to so. The dentist skipped over me and went to the next patient. My 2nd child got an exam but I refused xrays this time and this new dentist shamed me for not doing so. Then proceeds to start an exam on my daughter, doesn't ask her to scoot up in her chair, HE GRABBED HER BY THE ARMPITS AND YANKED HER UP WITHOUT ASKING FOR CONSENT TO TOUCH HER BODY!! I told him, "next time, you shouldn't be grabbing her like that, you could have just asked her to move up first." This dentist removed his gloves and said he was going to have another practitioner work on her instead. No apologies, nothing!!. My oldest son told me he the dentist also yanked him up too, but I couldnt see because they separated my kids into different rooms. He just touched my daughter making me uncomfortable, he yanked her forcefully enough that she had tears in her eyes so it was obvious she was uncomfortable as we waited for the next dentist. I had to have a talk with my children that how he yanked her was completely unprofessional and not her fault and people are not allowed to touch your body just because they are "professionals". This young and inexperienced dentist should be not be working with children if he thinks he can just treat them so disrespectfully. He walked away from a problem he created and had absolutely no intention to correct the trauma he caused to my child. He could have adjusted his attitude and apologize for his actions, instead his arrogance showed his lack of backbone and he cowarded away because of his unprofessional conduct was brought to attention. The office manager at Montebello is doing a horrible job, it is a chaotic mess and I will be searching for a better dentist office, it won't be hard.

Experiencia negativa: The way the dentist talk to people is unacceptable …I’m 32 years old and got treated poorly (like a child) my daughter sat in the chair for about 30 minutes without doing anything, my son waited for nothing I work as well so my time was wasted. Not bc I was late simply bc u guys lack a lot of things beginning with respect .

Experiencia fantástica: Children’s Dental Fun Zone in Montebello always looks very clean and it’s very kid-friendly. The staff is great, especially the girls at the front desk. They are always very polite and friendly. I also appreciate the dental plan we came up with for my son and look forward to moving forward with his treatment.

Experiencia positiva: The staff at this office was absolutely amazing—kind, welcoming, and very patient, especially with my child. Unfortunately, our experience with the dentist was disappointing. My 3-year-old had just woken up from a nap and, like many toddlers, was not fully cooperative. While I understand his behavior wasn’t perfect, the dentist showed very little patience or understanding. When I asked questions about my son’s cavity, the responses felt short and came across with an attitude. One comment in particular—“Well, I didn’t put them there, did I?”—felt unprofessional and unnecessary, especially when speaking to a concerned parent. I truly appreciated the staff, but I hope the dentist can show more compassion and patience when working with young children and their parents.

The dentist treating my son was extremely rude with my son and with his staff, his helper, I dont know how they can have him working there like that, my son was screaming of pain and the Dr. Was threatening him to kick out his dad from the room and telling my son that not even 3 year old lil girls cry. I mean these comments alone are not appropriate! My son panicked and was screaming of pain and to top it off he couldn't breathe because the suction part was not placed on him properly, he was only to be seen for a baby root canal but the Dr began to work on other cavities on the same side, which my son kept on screaming every time he would drill into his tooth, I do believe my son was feeling pain but again the dr kept telling him to stop crying and screaming and telling him that his dad was leaving the room at wich point my son would freak out even worse! The dr kept on saying that he couldn't work on my son like that, pretty much giving up on the middle of the treatment. He sat back on his chair and just say no, no I can't do my work. And my husband told him why dont you have patience for kids if you work here with kids, so the dr. Got up and told him we'll if you dont like my work take him somewhere else. So I went in to see what was going on, the dr didn't want to come he took along time to come talk to me, so I asked him ok where can I take him to finish off the work you can't finish? He said we'll no he can't leave like that just have to either extract the tooth or finish the baby root canal. So we calmed my son down and tried again, and my son was fine he was cooperating up until the dr put on the wrong size of crown, then took it off and was trying to put another crown that might fit, at this point my son threw a bunch of saliva with blood up because he couldn't breathe as it was stuck on his throat, wich means the suction was not on right and not working! Then my son panicked and said he wanted water and the dr. Sat back and said not i can't work like this no were done here. So the last option for me was to get a referral for the Children's hospital to get sedated and have his work done. But my whole point of this is why is the children's dentist so rude! And unprofessional if hes working with children! If you dont have patience then dont work with kids. I mean the amount of money the dental offices make by seeing so many kids I would expect them to have professionals!

After having my daughter go to a previous dental appointment two weeks before and telling her she had no cavities, I was shocked to find out this dentist found several cavities and possibly have to do a root canal! It just shows how good this place is with their X-rays and how bad the other place was doing through out the years with their X-rays. I'm definitely staying at Fun Zone.

No privacy there, and you feel like cattle. These reviews are way off, only chose it because it was 4.7☆s. TVs and fancy fish are all for show to mask how bad the location is. We can say the 1 star is because of the one positive thing, it's cheap compared to the better dentists...

Experiencia negativa: A bit frustrated second time I go to an appointment & they tell me my insurance wasn’t verified. & on top of that my appointments for my kid are on weekends which insurance can’t be verified. Why can’t this be verified ahead of the appointment or call me instead of possibly wasting my time on the appointment the day of. Doctor is nice & the staff as well but they just brush it off instead of ensuring this is taken care of.

Experiencia negativa: My son was squirming and holding on to the chair out of discomfort and pain during his cleaning. I noticed his mouth filling with blood and when I went to tell the lady doing my son’s cleaning that he had just lost two teeth the previous day she was ignoring me. To the point I had to raise my voice and stand over her for her to relax. Then she tried to tell me well he needs to clean the teeth good. Yes of course. But not where there are still very much open holes in his mouth. When I asked how long the appropriate amount of days of healing till returning to a proper brush in the area was. She had no idea. It was actually very infuriating. Every time we have had her it was not pleasant. At all. All of the rest of the staff was great. But she was horrible and she seemed annoyed I was advocating for my child. But I do not need him traumatized of the dentist.

Experiencia negativa: If I could give 0 stars, I would. This place is terrible. I do not recommend it to anyone. My mother in law has been taking my son in for us because we have not been able to miss work to take him. They did not tell me parent had to be present in booking the appointment, would not see him when she went to bring him the first time but made an exception, took him to the second appointment myself for his braces and thought it was fine for him to be brought back for his filling, now they will not see her and giving her a hard time at the front desk. I will never go back here again. They have lost 3 patients now with my kids. There is so many options for dentists in this area, absolutely do not consider going here. I am going to give just as bad of a review for their ortho page because that was another bad experience as well. For whatever reason they had none of our insurance documents on file and I have been waiting for weeks for a call for what my cost for services would be. I should not be chasing them down for them to help me. You will do yourself a big favor by NEVER coming here.

Experiencia positiva: I've been bringing my autistic son here for year's now. And I never had any complaints with the staff or the doctor's everyone has always been welcoming. And I am grateful for that. But for the past year's you haven't been able to honor appointments anymore. My son was due for his 6 month check up. I alway's request the earliest appointment for the same reason that they don't honor appointments here anymore. His appointment was at 9am on a Saturday we didn't get home until past 11am that's how bad it's been. What's the point of appointments if your over booking patient's all the time. There has been times that the lobby is packed. And there's no place we're to sit. Please stop making our kid's wait so long. They get inpatient and is frustrating for all of us.

Kids dental fun zone changed that for us . So even though my daughter is 13 we still go . Although this recent experience was different. I felt like they were trying to sell like western dental . Which I don’t like . What’s a semi deep cleaning anyways . Why can’t it be a plain old deep cleaning which is covered by insurance

Experiencia fantástica: This place was great! It was my daughter's very first visit so we were both a little nervous. The staff was absolutely wonderful. They were fast and efficient and very nurturing with my 14 month old. Dr. Hsien was informative and gentle and an absolute dream. Her assistant Monica put the biggest smile on my daughter's face and comforted her when she began to cry. I am very excited to make this place my daughter's dental care home.

He was even given a second set because he asked if he could take something to his sister at home. The dental employees work well with kids.

Experiencia fantástica: * July 2025 review* I previously had a bad experience at this location and realized it was just with the previous dentist that worked here. My last couple visits have gone very well. My child is diagnosed with autism and had severe anxiety when it came to dentist visits and he used to cry and scream the entire time. His anxiety has improved thanks to the patience and support of the staff and dentist. They take their time explaining the tools they are using and letting my child know what they will do next, and answering any questions my son has. My child has successfully gone through his first visit without crying AND letting them take his xrays. Thank you Childrens Dental FunZone Montebello !

Experiencia negativa: They didn’t give me my benefits upfront so I asked the dental assistant she seemed very annoyed by me asking. Meanwhile I was sitting with my son he is 2 years about to be 3. I was practicing ok can you say ahhhh and cheese and he was very willing and happy to. When the dental assistant came back she said to me everything should be covered thru insurance and I responded with "Should or they verified?" she seemed very annoyed and said, "Yes they checked that's what they told me." Dental procedures are not cheap so to act as if I am annoying her for wanting to know if I need to pay anything just seems wild but anyhow. They checked my son and by this time he was a little more scared after watching the kid next to us which could have been avoided by providing their patients privacy. Anyhow the dentist told me to hold his head back which I informed her I would not be doing. I asked by son to put his head back and he did but was very hesitant and scared. The dentist did not take any time to bond or make my son comfortable before putting her hand in his mouth to open it so she could see inside she did not ask him to open or say ahh didn't speak to him at all. My son started to cry and I told him to say ahh so she could see and even though he was crying and scared he complied and opened. She was able to use her little mirror to look and then without warning proceeded to put a tooth scraper in his mouth to scrape his back molars. He was caught off guard by this and frankly so was I cause there was literally no communication not even like ok now I'm going to just gently scrape his back teeth it shouldn't cause pain but make sure he doesn't move so he doesn't impale himself which the sharp object in his mouth. Nope nothing no communication even towards me. I just simply don't understand why go into a field that involves children if you don't have the patience for children or just a basic bedside manner to be around people in general. When they did the X-Ray another dental assistant a male this time came to help the female that was originally working with us and proceeded to very quickly force the thing that you bite on during dental X-rays in my sons mouth hold his face and told the girl to take the picture. They again did not tell me or ask me for consent to handle my child that way before doing so. When I returned back to the dentist she said, "There is nothing wrong with the tooth but if you want we can do a root canal and crown but we will need to try laughing gas first and I'm not sure if he will comply so we will need to hold him down." I was stunned like hold old did you just inform me there is nothing wrong with the tooth but you still want to do work on my child anyway? (I'm sorry is this where Gypsy Rose's mother brought her to get unnecessary dental procedures? I was stunned to say the least) ... She followed up with, "Or we can just monitor it and make sure no sensitivity or infection signs happen." I took my kid in because I noticed one of his teeth had discoloration and looked a bit more gray. I was so flabbergasted what is happening here. So I asked for clarification, "So you're telling me there is nothing wrong with his tooth?" Then she said, "Well no, the X-ray doesn't show any trauma. " "Ok then what about the change in color?" And she explained, "If he hit himself it could be possible that the discoloration is just a way of his body healing himself."So then why in the world offer a root canal and a crown? Honestly by this point I didn't care to ask you couldn't get me out of there fast enough. All in all I would never recommend this place to anyone. Customer service was horrible, privacy was non-existent, they did not properly communicate about benefits and even less about the actual care. Overall the communication was just lacking altogether. The service itself was impersonal, slightly traumatizing. I don't think I have anything good to say about it other than their decor in the waiting room seems to be with children in mind but the actual care itself absolutely does not have children in mind whatsoever

I've been going there since my daughter was 3.The lobby area is welcoming because it entertains kids with either a movie or games in the tablets posted on the walls. The atmosphere is pleasant from the reception area to the hygienist in the back rooms. I recommend this place for dental care.

Experiencia negativa: There was a male dental assistant by the name Winston that was extremely rude and unprofessional. Also one of the females that was in the back helping out was also rude but I didn’t get her name. But back to Winston, when I asked him if the foam that he put on the tray was fluoride he said yes, I then told him I didn’t want to use that on my son. Which seemed to upset/bother mr. Winston he then says with an attitude “well I guess no cleaning for you then” proceeds to say with some attitude “you know the other stuff also has fluoride in it too” which I then ask “what’s the difference “ to which he responds the foam is more concentrated the other stuff has less fluoride”he then walks away to the next patient as I’m trying to tell him if we can use the one with less fluoride in it. and leaves us waiting with no answer or explanation as to what is gonna happen next. There was another dental assistant in the back that overheard and kindly suggested using something else I believe she called it pumice that doesn’t have any fluoride in it that Mr Winston failed to offer us. I did ask to talk to the office manager and made a complaint about him because how he handled the situation was uncalled for and very poor service. I’m really big on customer service and that’s the exact thing that brings be back to a place and I’m not quite sure if I will be back here again but on a better note the Dr. Was extremely professional and very nice and so were the girls at the front desk. I don’t recommend this place. The staff in the back is rude except this older lady who is always sweet. When I take my 3 kids they call them in one at a time using the same chair. Which means we’re there for a long time. But while I’m there another family shows up and they allow all 3 kids to the back with mom and dad. But told me 1 parent and one child at a time. Honestly almost every time I’ve been here it’s always something. Don’t come here

Everyone is patient and takes the time to talk to the children, calm them down, and help them feel less nervous. My son walked out and told the dentist, “You are the best dentist ever.”

Experiencia positiva: I like that it was fast and quick. But as a parent of a child with special needs I feel the dentist could have been a little more aware of her special needs. I did call in advance and let the receptionist know, but I’m not sure if the dentist was made aware. But overall we liked this place.

Experiencia positiva: Been going here for three years and I have never felt like I was being tossed aside like today. The male dental assistant wasn’t even trying to do my autistic son cleaning. My son turned his head once and the assistant was done. Thank goodness I won’t be coming back.

Experiencia negativa: Had a horrible experience with the dentist who treated my daughter. The assistant was great if it wasn’t for her it would’ve been worst. I understand procedures hurt and they are scary , it’s a kids dental ! I thought the dentist should be educated enough to deal with a child’s anxiety and fear and pain , by handling it with care. NO! Her dentist who did a root canal and extraction wanted my daughter to not move her hand (she was opened and closing her fingers because the laughing gas made her body feel weird) she kept on telling him that “ my body feels weird I don’t feel like myself ) she 7 by the way. And instead of him explains he kept on telling her ok breath stop talking. When he was working on her she did yell was crying and told him it’s bothering her as they as us adults when we go and usually my dentist stops and hears me out , well this dentist kept on going and was telling her well is your fault you need to stop crying and talking it’s your fault you’re in pain. I tried to tell him he had to be more understanding and reassure her and he said I am but I’m not gonna be talking to her , he even tried for me to go outside because “my anxiety was rubbing on to her “ and he was being so forceful with her it was a horrible time for my daughter and for me by just watching someone treating her like that.

Experiencia fantástica: The Dentist, front desk and staff were all so helpful and nice. The inside of the office was also so colorful and definitely kept my daughter entertained while we waited, especially the fish tank ✨

Experiencia fantástica: The staff is friendly and helpful along with the Dentist too… He kept talking to my son while he worked on him and that helped to calm his nerves, so I really appreciate him for showing him comfort since the dentist can be scary for children. Love that they have movies to pick from to distract the child while they are being worked on and for giving them a small toy as a reward… Office is maintained nice and clean and welcoming…

After a few attempts we decided it was best to have him put to sleep to get work done and I was very nervous but their team did very well to ease my mind. They kept me informed the entire time and answered every question I had. The dentist and anesthesiologist reached out to me hours after we went home to check on my son. Such a great experience in a very stressful time.

Experiencia negativa: Place was clean, staff was polite. This was my daughter’s first ever dentist visit, my appointment was at 11:30am and I arrived about 10 minutes before her appointment time. When we arrived there was about 3 other families waiting with small children. We waited in the waiting room for about 30 minutes. During that time a lot of families with older children arrived. When we were finally called in and my daughter’s tooth x-rays were taken, we waited for another 20 minutes to be seen by the dentist. My daughter is 3 and she was already so impatient to get up and go I couldn’t get her to sit and wait anymore. I was very frustrated because I noticed the dentist helped all the families that came in after me, which were also older children. Considering I came in on time and my daughter is only 3 I didn’t understand how all the families that arrived way after me and with older children were seen first. Im very unhappy with the experience, this was my daughter’s and I first visit here, and let me tell you I don’t think I want to bring her back.

Experiencia negativa: I been here for my daughter dentist for a long time now. They "were" amazing with the care. But lately they didn't deserve my 5 star. Couple of weeks ago, a back office staff was rude to me, when I ask a simple question about procedure they were going to do, to better understand. Then after returning for another appt for fillings and cleaning, they had my daughter under laughing gas before starting and then telling me afterwards they were not going to do the procedure and try a different method instead because of the scans they see were not necessary for something small. This completely wasted me and my daughter time coming in, when she could of been in school. I hope they fix this minor issues I been having with them lately or I'll have to look else where.

Experiencia positiva: Usually we have a good experience at this place but we had came in 10 mins early and checked in. There was only one person ahead of us and then about 6 more people had came in after and checked in and everyone that came in after us were taken in first. We were the last ones to be called in and were called in about 20 mins after our appt. I even went to the front to let them know and they just said we would be next. This has not happened before but it was not a great experience.

My son finally doesn’t worry about going to his dental appointments like he used to be with our previous dental office. Highly recommend Children’s Dental Fun Zone!

Gabby the Manager always helping me with my son schedule she always make sure it works out with my schedule because I can only do Saturdays, she is an awesome manager! Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Bunch and Monica, nurse assistant were great with my three year old son. They performed four root canals and were able to save his little teeth. Although dentist may seem scary both providers were patient, kind, and professionals. I highly recommend them for service for children.

Experiencia fantástica: Best dentist ever! I live in Compton but I've been coming to the montebello location for my 10 and 8 yr olds since they were 1. I love that this place is always clean, it has tablets to keep the kiddos entertained while you get called in. The staff is friendly and welcome you. The drs are always very friendly and nice and take the time to explain. What i also love is that its orthodontist too so if my girls need extraction or other things the specialist there is a plus! I wouldnt change my daughters no where else even though it takes me 45 minutes drive . Great location i highly recommend!

My grandson was pushed down and held him down with 3 other adults, and stretched his mouth aggressively yelling at him telling him to stop crying.How can you use the strength of 3 adults to hold a 5 year old defenseless Autistic child? That’s an abuse!!!!

Experiencia negativa: Front staff was very friendly. Once inside they did my sons check up then told me because he is 16 they could not treat him. Then why say you see minors up to 18yrs of age. So they basically sent him home with a cavity. Waste of time for sure. Very unprofessional of them to do that. They just got to charge my insurance for the visit. Going to report them for not seeing my son. Do not go there if you have teenagers.
