The people who check you out when you have to pay extremely rude. The minute you voice your opinion they discharge you as a patient. Dr Dave is the rudest dentist I've ever met in my life. He did a poor job on the cap he gave me it's been 3 months since my cap has been placed it still hurts really bad. I would not recommend this company

Doctor Neha was very patient and gentle. Her work is amazing and detailed. Raquel in the front always so sweet and respectful! As a dental assistant myself I Definitely would recommend coming here! Experiencia negativa: I agree with some of the other poor reviews that some employee's at Redwood need some training in talking to customers politely. I have multiple run ins with an unpolite person on the phone when it comes to talking about bills or charges. I have been with Redwood Dental for 46 years, and they have gone way downhill over the last 10 years. They cannot seem to keep the best dentist working for them. I have had bad fillings, bad crowns, and worst of all poorly done temporary teeth that have been painful for 2 weeks, until crown came in. The worst thing that happened, recently is being over charged, because everything was not submitted to Blue Cross on the predetermination for a crown that I requested 2 weeks prior. Still had to pay for x-rays and teeth cleaning. Also my hygienest recommended Fluoride varnish, which was a total joke. At she said it was free, and said insurance would cover it for about $30. It was $45, and there no way they cover all my teeth with the poorly done application. It was a total waste of money. Do not schedule any appointments with Rewood Dental without a complete predetermination from your insurance company that includes everything (xrays, scans, teeth cleaning, fillings, crowns, etc.). My wife was overcharged for her crown by $230, and they did not even reach out to tell her that she had a credit on her account. Redwood dental of Shelby is even worse than previously stated. Not only do they edit reviews. They also charge for things on the predetermination that insurance company shows should be discounted, which is what most dentist except and do not charge the extra cost. I was told by redwood dental to find a new dentist, which I did along with my wife and mother. Rewood dental told my mother that she needed a crown, which was denied by her insurance company. Our new dentist took new X RAYS, and could find anything showing that she required a crown or had any cavities. So Redwood dental was trying to do a crown that was not required, and also charge her for it. Redwood dental was supposed to send all of our current xrays to our new dentist, but they did not. Do not use this dentist, if you do go to another branch.

Experiencia negativa: I had to get two fillings today and my dentist was amazing. She was very patient and told me everything she was doing as she did it. However, the customer service at this office is terrible. I had to wait to be checked out which was fine but as I was waiting I could hear the girls at the desk talking crap about another co worker instead of checking people out. As I was being checked out another woman proceeded to start whispering in her co workers ear as said co worker was checking me out. The person checking me out was very rude. No customer service skills at all and just told me to pay a certain amount, as she is engaging in trashing another employee. I found it highly unprofessional and inappropriate. I doubt that the dentists at this office would be happy with that behavior.

I first visited her about five years ago (for an extraction) and then again yesterday (for a root canal)...She has a gentle hand and professional approach. ZERO pain and ZERO discomfort!!! I can't believe I would ever write a positive review of any dentist, but Dr. Gagi is truly the best I've found. (...and a mention to Raquel who does billing; she made THAT part somewhat "painless" as well).

Experiencia negativa: I had a cap come loose, and called the office as it was the location nearest to me. I was invited into this place even tho it was 1 hour before they were to close. Everyone there were pleasant and appeared they wanted to help to have it cemented back on. However, the Dr refused to assist saying I needed to see my regular dentist as it had fallen off in January and the office that reinstalled it should be the ones to put it back on. It was a Friday and I would have to wait to see another dentist till the following week. I was surprised to say the least that I was being turned away.

Experiencia negativa: The poor reviews at this place are completely justified! Office is clean and there's lots of staff, but the billing side and dentists themselves are awful. Practices are borderline fraudulent. When making an appointment, they only give you options that are NOT covered by insurance and will take multiple additional X-rays that you will find you have to pay out of pocket for. If you go here, expect surprise bills and getting hit with huge charges weeks later. As I made the appointment and when I left, they assured me that everything would be covered by insurance, but I found out that's a lie and now they're demanding a huge bill. Mind you, my appointment took less than 10 minutes and I spent more time filling out paperwork than talking to the dentist.

I don't have many left but she is keeping them healthy for me. And of course following up with the exam with Dr Dave made the visit perfect. And of course the staff always treats me with respect and cares about me as a person, not just a patient. After going to the same dentist for years I was referred to Redwood Dental in Shelby Twp. I am so happy that I was lucky to get this referral. Dr Dave has treated me with care and the assistants Megan, Stephanie and Kathy make the experience so pleasant. They really care about you as a patient and do their best to make sure you are OK. If you are looking for a new dentist I highly recommend going to them. (Especially Dr Dave!)

Experiencia negativa: I had to have a crown replaced. I lost the original crown and so far have had 3 different replacement crowns made but none fit correctly. So, after 3 long and somewhat painful visits I have to have another crown made and am not sure that one will fit correctly either.

Experiencia positiva: Jen is wonderful and is the best hygienist there. I also love all the doctors. Newer front desk staff (Raquel?) needs more training in how to speak to people. She was very polite and worked with me initially but when it came time to collect payment, her attitude changed and threatened that if I don't pay my bill my credit will be hit. Mind you, I had just received services the week before and stated I am working with my employer to fix my insurance. I asked for a copy of my bill to be mailed to be and she acted like this was an impossible task. Just so people know, as of the 15th of this month medical bills cannot be held against you and affect your credit score so I hope she does not keep using that line to get people to pay immediately.

When requested by my insurance for a reason, this procedure was needed., They were told it was a non-medical issue. I have had a broken tooth for over a month after spending thousands of dollars on Invisalign. Do not go here.

It was flawless and painless. Much appreciated. They didn't have me waiting between parts and made sure I was doing okay and know what was being done.

Unnecessarily trying to get me to use my insurance and charging me money for something i didn't even need . Not happy. And not going back after 20 yrs. Too many change overs.

She is very patient and gentle. She takes time doing a good job making customers not to feel being rushed and "missed". I like to continue to work with her on my dental health.

Experiencia negativa: I have been going to Redwood Dental ever since they bought out my dentist Dr Shiffman. Been average to above over the years, but things have been kind of rough lately. My hygienist Jen is the best...and my Dentist is ok. But the front staff is rude most of the time, and the office manager Sandy is so frustrating. Keep watching your account balance...never tell you when your claim is less than what you paid. Kind of a scam, if you ask me. I have me, my wife and 3 kids that go here. I am out, and looking for a new place I can call home. Edit: it's so funny that most if not all the responses for negative comments are identical...cut and paste. Tell's me a lot about how much they care....

Surprisingly, I was able to call the office and not be answered by an automated system and put into a long journey through the phone system. The lady who took the call was able to answer the number of questions that I had and scheduled me and my disabled adult son for appointments. I told her that my son's disability and the amount of work that we both would need meant that we would need a dentist with experience and patience. She scheduled us with Dr. Dave. At my first appointment with Dr. Dave, he immediately made me feel comfortable and in good hands. He was compassionate and understanding and took the time to explain the treatment plan for the extensive work that I will need due to the years of neglect. I can't sing enough praise for Dr. Dave and his Staff at Redwood Dental, Shelby Twp.

Experiencia negativa: I came for a simple cleaning. My teeth are very good. I use an Oral B , floss, etc. Well, this Dr couldn’t care less what I came in there for. Before them I had the absolute best dentist and dental hygienist. They wouldn’t have missed anything. And my cousin is a dentist! So this dude takes 500 X-rays , and says I need a periodontal cleaning which they have no explanation for what it is. I’m thinking it’s just a deep cleaning so I’m like um, ok. Did they tell me how much? Nope. So I called them and told The secretary I don’t want this kind of cleaning. I just want the kind of cleaning that I came in for a regular one. She refused. She said the doctor ordered this one and this is the kind you have to have. So basically, the patient was taken out of the equation. I didn’t even know what kind of cleaning I was going to have. They already got the approval from the insurance and here I am getting A cleaning of some sort that I didn’t even want. Shouldn’t it be up to the patient of what kind of cleaning they want. So I just went with it because at this point I had no choice I didn’t know where to go. I had two separate cleanings. It was the exact same kind of cleaning as any other cleaning there was absolutely no difference. The only difference was when I walked in she gave me the price tag guess what $1000 for a cleaning . Yep, you heard me right that dentist charged me $1000 for a simple cleaning where all they did was go under the gums a little bit and clean them out I was sick and it took everything in me not to go nuts I just wanted to leave and the one thing I didn’t do was take my x-rays but I will never go back and here they are sitting here saying we’ll see you in six months. No you will never see me again and I hope that place closes down, oh my God just absolutely horrible. If I could give them zero stars, I would want a rip off. In fact he stepped in the second time I came to do the cleaning for the second part and right away the dental hygienist goes “oh should I bill her?” I’m like bill me for what? She says “ since you’re saying hi”. I’m like you’re going to bill me because this dude is saying hi to me? Oh my God, this is crazy and he goes “no no no no I’m just saying hi you don’t need to bill her and she’s was completely serious.” All I wanted was a $99 cleaning. Frauds. Don’t go there.

Experiencia fantástica: I love Redwood Dental, the staff are very friendly and helpful. My experience today, I got teeth cleaning and also a filling done. Everything went professionally and well. They are best, I would recommend them anytime. Love them!

Experiencia negativa: After the experience I had I now understand why most people don’t go to the dentist for decades. This start with the Clinton township location. The dentist there was too lazy to do a root canal or pull the tooth so he filled my tooth and sent me on my way. After weeks for being in excruciating pain, I finally think I’m going in to get it fixed but they just do x rays and tell me they will call me for an appointment. After more weeks of pain and waiting I decided to cal the Shelby Township location and they were able to see me that same day. The dentist looks at the X-rays and gets to work, letting me know I need a root canal and he can relieve my tooth pain today. Finally I’m happy and I just have to come back for my crown fitting. I’m not sure if she was nervous or if this was her first time in an office setting. I’m a patient woman. Even after being stabbed in the roof of my mouth and having my lip sucked into the instrument I kept my cool. But being violently gagged by the assistant jamming the suction tool down my throat while the dentist was drilling into my tooth was something I wasn’t expecting. Her careless actions made me feel like I was about to die so like any other human, I jumped and the dentist who was still drilling into my tooth jumped and cut a huge hole into my cheek and I began bleeding uncontrollably. To make matters worst the assistant blamed my injuries on me moving. My actions were justified seeing how she kept jamming that tool down my throat twice. The dentist left me with so she could scan my teeth for a temporary crown until I get the permanent one. I hated every second of this appointment. When I went to pay for this terrible experience and the woman at the checkout desks asked me if everything was okay with my visit. I was so upset and my lips were bleeding from the assistant’s carelessness that I just said no and pay my balance and left. Two days later, now that the numbness was went away, I’m in so much pain more than I was before I went there. I can’t open my mouth wide enough to eat, my face is still swollen, my cheek is still bleeding and I still have an appointment coming up in a week. I don’t want to go back the that place. I think I should just give up on Redwood dental and try Aspen Dental or somewhere else. I still can’t believe this is the treatment that I received.

Experiencia fantástica: Lori is my hygienist and she always does a fantastic job of explaining what and how she’s going to clean my teeth. She is respectful of my time and asks if I need to be somewhere right after the appointment. The gal at the reception desk was pleasant and made all feel welcome.

Experiencia fantástica: Been coming here for a few years now after my old dentist retired and the office closed. Was a little hesitant as I had been going to my old dentist for 30+ years and they always were great. I have to say my experience at Redwood has been as good or better than my old dentist! From the staff at the desk to the hygienist (Jen is mine and she’s absolutely wonderful) to the dentist (Dr. Neha - again, top-notch), everyone is a pleasure to deal with. Keep up the great work!

Experiencia fantástica: I have been to some clinics but i have to tell you this one is top of the top for service and customer service! As soon as you enter this clinic you feel like you are meeting some friends! The front staff are all so sweet and kind and nice! On my very first visit i felt like i have been there forever. Everybody is so nice and helpful. They go above and beyond to work around my hours. Absolutely fantastic! I would recommend this clinic to everyone that needs dental work!
