Experiencia fantástica: The fact that I’m logging in to leave a review for a dentist office should be proof alone how great this place is! I waited far too long to find a dentist and can’t tell ya loud enough how happy I am to have been recommend this group. Partnered with me on a plan to get my teeth healthy and back on track. Walked me through all the options and talked pros and cons of it all. Add in the day before my first appointment we had a family emergency and they rescheduled me no problem and no charge. Just quality people from check in to check out! Can’t go as far to say I’m excited to go back but that’s more a me thing than them haha. Thanks to the entire team

Experiencia negativa: Andrea was so kind and positive! professional! However, I recently had a crown come off. I was told it would need to be replaced because the filling in the underlying tooth was so large. They went ahead and made a temporary crown, which came off twice within 10 days. I was charged for every single visit to get it glued on. I decided to get a second opinion. The crown that came off was cleaned very well and cemented on without issues.

Experiencia fantástica: Shores is always nice and wonderful. They always take could care of me. I appreciate them so much and especially their communication! Dr. Burns was so informative and helpful. She gave me a plan on prioritizing upcoming cavities and crowns. She listened and since I am a planner, she exceeded my expectations.

Experiencia negativa: Horrible experiene.Went to them last month with terrible dental pain.They x-rayed and said I needed the tooth pulled.They handed me a piece of paper and said I need to go to an oral surgeon for $750.00 to have the tooth pulled.They did NOTHING to help me with pain.I paid them $475.00 for their dental plan which was supposed to cover Dental exam ,cleaning and x-rays. I went to another dentist that day and they pulled my tooth.I made an appointment with Shores to have my teeth cleaned on 11-14-25.They told me I needed a deep cleaning and unless I paid more than the $475.00 ,they wouldn't clean my teeth because they could lose their license.They said I could talk to the office manager but she's not available . This was a wonderful dental practice when Dr Siegmund was there.He never let a patient suffer.This practice cares about money. They knew when they sold me the plan that I needed a deep cleaning but they didn't tell me.

The office is peaceful, comfortable, and cozy. The equipment and practices are modern, and administered with great care. Aundrea, my dental hygienist, was very friendly and knowledgeable and did a fantastic job cleaning, explaining and applying fluoride substance to one of my teeth. Dr Kittell was very personable as well and explained why I needed the fluoride treatment and gave me options. Thank you to the whole staff from initial greeting to departing goodbye for a pleasant and smooth visit.

I have used the offered in-house insurance plan that covers the twice yearly exams and cleanings and found it to be a good value for the services provided as I don't have dental insurance. The staff was very accommodating with providing me an appointment before my yearly insurance expiration. They also inform me of when they have appt. cancellations should I want to accept the opened time. Dentists and staff are all #1 by me. Thank you.

No pain from the needle, none from the drilling, and within a couple hours when the Novocain had completely worn off, I was unable to tell I had dental work performed. Even my tongue couldn't find it. Amazing! Great job! Highly recommended.

I saw a great blue heron catch a trout while getting my X-rays done the first time I was there! They also play great music. They always give me detailed explanations and are very kind when explaining things. They've also given me many recommendations to make my teeth healthier which has been incredibly helpful and saves me a lot of time looking for the right/best products.

Experiencia negativa: Listen to the prior reviews about ridiculous billing practices. As is my custom, the first thing I asked on the phone in search of a new dentist after my move was if they accepted my insurance to avoid paying anything out of pocket. They said yes, so I scheduled a basic cleaning only for them to charge me over $300 after collecting all my insurance info, and proceeded to gaslight me with “well, technically we ‘accept’ your insurance but it’s actually out of network and we told you that.” Um, no, you didn’t. A simple “your insurance is not in network” would have been greatly appreciated to simply call a dentist who actually takes my insurance. Or saying “yes” when I asked this very question. Incompetent or sketchy? Additionally, the dentist I saw hardly gave me the time of day when I shared I’d been having very painful symptoms of a condition that dentists should write specialist referrals for. But in her defense, she did leave me with the super reassuring words that “at least the pain is sporadic.” The office is cozy and I really liked my dental hygienist, but I’m very disappointed otherwise.

Experiencia fantástica: I had an urgent situation with several broken teeth. I went to Shores for initial X-rays, and had a consult with Dr Megna. She was professional and knowledgeable and the office set up the next appointment I needed with an oral surgeon.

Experiencia negativa: Charged over 1200$ for 3 cleanings and 2 fillings WITH INSURANCE. Even after contacting them and trying to understand why it was so high, and they said the insurance already paid. Went to another dentist who was easier to schedule with, had better service and had the next 3 cleanings and a filling cost ZERO after filling with the same exact insurance! Not sure how all these reviews are so high, they were in my network!

Experiencia negativa: After sitting in the dental chair 1 hr 50 mins I left. I still had to pay my baby sitter for what should have bee a 1 hour visit and $158 for a useless visit. I had and xray and then they numbed me up for a filling but the anesthetic wore off after wait for them to treat an emergency. But my cavity that was causing serious pain wasn't.... it important to them. All sorts of excuses. If I book and appointment I expect to have the treatment, $158 for what?? So when I tried to have my xrays from 6 mos ago and the recent ones sent to a new dentist, 4 x, yes 4 x I requested and they didn't apear, I was told all the xrays that were there were from 2021 my previous dentist. I just paid money for xrays I couldn't get them to send, seriously???

Experiencia fantástica: I have been using the dentists at Shores Family Dentistry since 1973. I started with Dr. Tomlinson in 1973 and then used Dr. Siegmund until he retired in 2022. Both Dentists were amazing! The quality I most admired and was grateful for with both dentists was that they were very meticulous about making sure that their work was aesthetically pleasing as well as well done. Since Dr. Megna bought the practice I have had 2 crowns placed in the front of my mouth and the match was perfect to my other teeth. The hygienists and other staff members are also amazing there.

Experiencia fantástica: I've been a patient at Shores Family Dentistry for over 20 years. The staff is professional and friendly, and it's easy to make appointments. I've never had a negative experience with them. And I just discovered they offer warm blankets if you've feeling chilled. I was so comfortable that I almost fell asleep during my last cleaning and exam!

Experiencia fantástica: I had a good experience at the dentist. I unfortunately needed a filling because my tooth broke, but they were able to get me in pretty quickly just a few days later when I called them about it. They checked my tooth out and were able to fix it in less than 30 min which was cool, I expected it to take longer than that. She always tries her best to be gentle, and comes across judgement free which I like. This time was probably the most gentle and smoothest filling I’ve ever had which is awesome. And I got a coco sticker when I was all done! My favorite part about the office is the view, there’s this lake and we got to see ducks and a big fish!

Experiencia fantástica: Spent a good bit of time reading reviews trying to find a new dentist office. Had to find a new dentist since I’m not from Fort Collins and in my hometown I had gone to the same dentist since I was a toddler - so this was a tough decision. I 100% made the best decision choosing Shores Family Dentistry - so much so that I called my husband to tell him what a great experience I had. They were upfront about each thing they were doing and they took time to explain to me what everything meant and why they do it. (without me even having to ask). That’s a really green flag and not something I was use to from my former dentist. I had never seen a camera that can actually go into your mouth and show you a cavity or area of concern and that was really cool to me and also goes back to them keeping you involved as much as possible. Each staff member I met was super friendly and welcoming. Also, what a beautiful view of a pond and they have big windows in each area so you can enjoy the view! So even though I’ve only had one visit, I highly recommend this place. I left feeling genuinely confident that I made the right choice.

Experiencia fantástica: I went in for my usual cleaning with Jenny. She is so nice. I always enjoy catching up with her. She is always super gentle and thorough and does a great job. The entire staff is really nice. I am so sad that Dr. Siegmund has retired, actually very jealous too. Kudo to him! Enjoy!!!

Experiencia fantástica: New to town and chose Shores based on many positive reviews from coworkers and online. Just had my first appointment and really loved it. Haven’t been to the dentist in a long time and they were super welcoming and got my teeth feeling great again! Would absolutely recommend this office to anyone looking for a great environment to get dental care.

Experiencia fantástica: I had an incredibly positive intake experience at Shores Family Dentistry. All of the staff from the front desk to the hygienists and dentist were warm and welcoming. I’m not someone who enjoys dental work, much like most people, but they made it a simple, easy, and enjoyable experience. The office staff were already knowledgeable about my insurance coverage and kept me informed about my benefits and what, if any, charges I should expect. The hygienists were thorough and fast. They kept things moving and informed me about what was going on along the way. The dentist was very helpful and got to know me and my dental habits before making any recommendations. Finally, they weren’t trying to push me to spend money on outrageous dental procedures, which was a big relief for me. I would HIGHLY recommend Shores. I moved to Fort Collins from out of state where I had been to the same dentist for 20+ years. I’m so happy to have found Shores!

Experiencia fantástica: Just moved here from Texas and this place was recommended after one of my crowns fell out. They were able to get me within a couple days and even tho I was late to the appointment, they still saw me and had me in and out quickly with little to no pain. I cannot remember the Dr. (tall, glasses) name but he was very sweet and professional. I believe the dental assistant was Julie or Julia and she was also very lovely. Very grateful to have a dentist so quickly after our big move.

Experiencia fantástica: Shores Family Dentistry is amazing. They are always responsive and thorough. The atmosphere from the lobby to the hygiene area is so comfortable and relaxing. I actually enjoy getting a break from work to get my teeth cleaned and enjoy the beautiful view from their windows. My hygienist Laura was so easy to talk to, and involved me with every step of the process. Such a great place.
