Experiencia negativa: We took my 4 year old here and were lied to about him having full blown 13 cavities. That didn't sound right to us because we take good care of his teeth and he never complains of tooth pain. They gave us all this paperwork to fill out about a huge dental procedure that he would have had to go under for. Thank God we got a second opinion! He doesn't have any cavities only a few that are starting out, but it can be undone with extra care. This dentist also talked down to us and we felt very judged. All this to find out our son's teeth are fine

Experiencia negativa: Why is it so overstimulating and hard to breathe in this building? The smells, sounds, and lights are overpowering. Probably not the best dentist for neurodivergent children in my opinion. I am neurodivergent and bring my son here (who is also neurodivergent) and it’s a struggle every time for us both.

Experiencia negativa: This was my child's dentist, I had a lapse of insurance coverage for 6 months and took my child to the community college for a cleaning during that time. The school asked for a transfer of records 3 times and was told it was sent. Finally the college confirmed the email they were using and it was the wrong email. So who knows who Doreen sent my child's dental records to, that's a HIPPA violation. When I called to ask that they be sent to me since they still hadn't sent them to the college, I read out the email [email protected] to Doreen and she said, "yeah I sent it to [email protected], that's what I said" when I told her that was wrong she talked over me that she was going to hang up on me because she'd already helped me. I was disappointed in a pretty distant bedside manner with my child when I'd taken him before, but I could not believe how I was spoken to on the phone. Plus HIPPA violation.

Experiencia fantástica: All three of my kids come here. My kids are always very excited to come to the dentist! Because of the setup, I can make all their appointments at the same time and it makes my life so much easier. They made a billing mistake once and they were quick to apologize and correct.

Experiencia negativa: Awful experience with my 2yo. They forced her mouth open to do X-rays while she was screaming and acted like this was normal practice. They weren’t able to do a cleaning or get accurate imaging because they had her so upset. They didn’t talk to her once or treat her with an ounce of respect, and we will not be back.

Experiencia negativa: My son has been going to this clinic since he was 18 months old, he is currently 4. The dentist refused to see my son because we didn’t want him to get X-rays at his young age so they refused us even a cleaning. We found a great clinic that was blown away by the forceful nature of this clinic and they’re trying to force us into something we were not comfortable with. We are NOT anti-VAX but at his age we are saying no to radiation. My wife left a review about their unethical behavior in trying to force us into something our son did NOT need currently. We received this letter they wrote 3 days after my wife left the google review, how caddy is this!? Well here you go, I am grateful to have left this dentist to move on to someone who actually has ethics and isn’t money driven. You should really look elsewhere before choosing this company, don’t let the flashy atmosphere get you sucked in, they only care about money, not the patient.

Experiencia negativa: I have been taking my children here since my 4 year old was 18 months old. I went in for a routine check up for my 4 year old and was met with he had to have xrays or they could not see him. I am aware of our rights as patients and how the boards work. The dentist insisted and said he would speak with the other dentist. They decided they could not do an exam or even a cleaning for my son. I am not sure if they thought I would just go ahead and get the xray, however I didn't and I have found a new dentist. I have adult children that I have done the same thing with and never have I been treated and had services refused for my child.

Experiencia negativa: Dr. Amanda needs to retake some classes on ethics and HIPPA. Apparently her title has gotten to her head. Parents are educated on matters and if we disagree and refuse things that's fine if you want to discontinue care, doing so is ignorant, but most pompous folks are. I'll be going to the board about her behavior today, as the manager seemed just as ignorant.

Experiencia negativa: This office is no longer a top choice. They don't respect parents and their research. Dr. Amanda has no idea what HIPPA means as she has a fit screaming down the hall because I refused XRAYS and fluoride. No class.

Experiencia fantástica: This is where we take our toddler Evan. Despite some fussiness with the dentists everyone is kind, caring, and compassionate. Highly recommend this place for your littles.

Experiencia negativa: I should have read the reviews. There is something about this place that just doesn't sit right with me. It seems staff doesn't have the enthusiasm or training for toddler patients. Also, do not love their approach, and customer service. Did not love my first impression. Gave it a second try, nope. Still did not love it. My daughter is 2. The female dentist we had, seemed scripted and no compassion. Front desk is disorganized and was not impressed with the customer service.

Experiencia positiva: Not impressed at all. The dentist wanted to pull 4 teeth to make room for adult teeth. I didn’t have a good feeling. Went to another dentist and an orthodontist for a 2nd and 3rd opinion and both confirmed we do not need to pull teeth. This place wants insurance money at the expense of the children’s unneeded pulled teeth!!!

Experiencia negativa: Told me i can bring both kids in then refused to see my kids because they were together told me to leave my 4 yr old alone in the waiting room while they saw my 5 yr old then to leave my 5 year alone while they saw my 4 yr old one is having a dental emergency and they refused to do anything when her issue is due to their poor care

Experiencia negativa: It's decent, they need to be better at privacy and actually utilize their curtains where the kids get their teeth cleaned. Also, the receptionists can be extremely rude, and when they call to leave a reminder, one of the receptionists talks so, so fast you literally can't understand her. In all , I think they are so worried about hauling their patients in and out so fast that, even as a parent sitting there, I feel rushed. They just need to remember these are children who need special attention and don't need to feel like they are a burden, especially when for many of the kids, it's their first time OR they have a little fear of "the dentist" as it is.

Experiencia negativa: NOT for kids with special needs or anxiety of any kind, especially sensory. These folks are a couple decades behind in most ways, from admin to actual practice. They wanted me sign a consent to use a blanket to hold my child down if he was wiggly... nobody in the modern world is allowed to restrain humans that way except in very special circumstances. When asked, they claimed they'd be "gentle". Nope. Nope. Nope. When I mentioned my child has ASD, the dentist nor the assistant knew what it was, and definitely didn't know what it meant. Yikes! Cleanings are these folks' bread and butter, and they seem to run them through like a factory.

Experiencia negativa: I'll be honest- didn't even make it through the door. After a morning of stressful calling around because somehow my child ended up with a cavity that our normal dentist couldn't treat, the secretary answering the phone gave me the absolute most attitude-filled responses and told me I had no idea what I was talking about when it came to a dentist office (my daughter's previous one) she does not work at and knows nothing about! What a wonderful way to drive away business. Guess they're overbooked.

Experiencia negativa: Insurance lady plus the front desk staff (who put their foot in their mouth defending the insurance lady) need to take a lesson on being HUMBLE and know that we are all humans and we all make mistakes. She mis-verified insurance and wouldn’t take the our word that she made a mistake until my wife walked in and asked to check again… lo and behold… oh insurance is in fact active.

Experiencia negativa: If I could of given zero I definitely would have, If you can choose another dentist to take your special needs children to please do immediately, They don’t care about your children’s pain level especially if they can’t speak for themselves, I was told by their questionable dr that they don’t know if my child is hurting or not so they won’t do anything to ensure she’s in no pain, they numbed her and had the laughing gas on her face for less than 4 mins before doing an extraction my child was screaming in pain the entire time and it wasn’t professional at all, I was asked multiple times if another parent couldn’t come in due to me being upset with the care my daughter was receiving, then her crown fell off and they stabbed her gums causing her to bleed for a day and her not wanting to eat because of the pain they caused, their director didn’t do anything but send me a letter saying they refuse to see my children further………. Trust me that’s fine by us we wouldn’t want to risk any other misconducts of abuse towards special needs children or disabled children.

Experiencia negativa: Will never go to this dentist again! Said both of my kids needed tons of work on their teeth so we went for a second opinion and kids teeth were fine. Now second guessing all the work they did on my oldest!

Experiencia fantástica: I take my granddaughter to Young at Heart Dentistry in Pueblo, CO. She is 6 and had some caps put on her back molars yesterday. The dentist, Dr. Mark, his assistant, Stacy and Jacque were absolutely amazing. They gave her laughing gas and explained what they were going to be doing and showed her the tools they would be using. She didn't even realize when they gave her two shots. She was completely calm through the whole procedure. I completely recommend this office. A huge plus as their WHOLE staff is always kind and helpful. Thank you

The staff is patient and go the extra mile to help my little one have a positive experience at the dentist! Also, one stop for dental amd eye needs because they are close to each other!

And they've done a wonderfully distracting job on the decor, it kept my 6 year old occupied the whole visit just naming the fish and characters she recognized from the murals!

Experiencia negativa: There is no sense of urgency with the people that do the x-rays, I'm holding my kid down and they are taking their sweet time. Since they are taking their sweet time I can't hold him for very long and we are not able to get the x-rays. So that means i just held my kid down and traumatized him for nothing because nothing was accomplished. I get asked the same questions over and over. They would get those answers if they would just read his file. My kid is autistic and has sensory issues so when I have to hold him down, its traumatizing for him but the staff just thinks it's no big deal. My kid is so scared and traumatized of the dentist, it breaks my heart to see and feel how scared he is when we are in this place.

Experiencia negativa: The staff was NOT friendly or even happy to be at work today. The dentist & his tech both complained about being short staffed & behind, etc. The tech took several personal calls/texts with her son & neither cared at all about the absolutely HORRIFIC "job" they did. Im soooo disgusted by them & how they treated my poor lil baby! He normally does pretty good, however they had him SCREAMING while they carelessly yanked & pulled at my poor baby's teeth! Then, while my poor baby was spitting up blood bc his mouth was full of blood, I asked the tech to please suction it out...all she did was tell my baby to swallow it!!! Swallow a mouth full of blood?! Ugh!!! Im beyond pissed!!! They have no idea the damage they caused...but Im sure they wouldnt care....smh....BE CAREFUL!!! **Normally this would have been my review: The customer service is hands down the ABSOLUTE VERY BEST!!! Now, Im thinking of removing my 3 Children to find someone who truly cares & is happy to be where they are.

Experiencia negativa: Very rough. Felt lots of pressure on my chin, lips, and mouth. Tight grip, and pushed on my bottom lip to where I could feel my brace brackets. Feeling pain unrelated to the cleaning treatment. Not gentle at all. Flossing was also rough pressured. Seemed as if the assigned cleaner and dentist did not want to be there. Seeming as if it’s inconvenient for them to be working on me. (Through their tone of voice, and choice of words.) The job itself was fine, cleaning seemed to be good. But customer treatment during cleaning was not the best experience. Especially when I’ve had more pleasant experiences.

Experiencia negativa: The hygienist we had today, was not personable AT ALL. She was short with my 4year old and snippy when he wasn't do just as she asked (again he just turned 4). Also, she showed little patience and was not engaging. It felt like we were on an assembly line. This is the first this has happened. I hope next time is better or we will make a change.

Experiencia negativa: Very disappointing visit. My four year old son who is autistic came here Friday the 19th to have a tooth removed. This kind environment for my son is very comfortable he has sensory issues and things can be very hard for him especially in a new environment with people he is not comfortable with. Dr. Glenn was blatantly rude while trying to administer the numbing medication made a comment “why is he acting like this, I’m not even doing anything” I couldn’t believe someone let alone the Doctor would say this, when I explained to him he is autistic and this uncomfortable then all of sudden he was understanding but NO child or parent should hear a provider make a comment like that. Rest of the appointment was very fast they just wanted to get him out, gave me discharge intructions very fast, the doctor didn’t even acknowledge me or my child after he done he just walked out. it wasn’t 2 minutes after his tooth was out the women in the room were rushing us out, and even walked us out the back way. All that just to say very disappointing I feel sorry for any parent with a child with any sensory or developmental issues that has to deal with this place. My son won’t be back.

Experiencia negativa: I took my granddaughter to her appt for my daughter. The lady who took her back was not friendly at all. She was very rude to my granddaughter, who will be 14 in a couple days. This lady treated her badly telling her that she needed to brush more often, which i agree; but the way she was talking to her was so rude. She told her that it was gross and stinky breath. She was so rude and treated her rough even cutting her gums in the process. I believe she could have been nicer, not judgmental, and gotten her point across that brushing is so important, without being so downright mean!! i rate her a 1 on a scale from 1 to 10.

Experiencia negativa: Rude service for sure! Dentist didn’t look at our boys teeth, we didn’t even get told we were done they just disappeared after. Rude service barely got talked to. Everyone just stressed and grouchy with no patience. Sad to say I will be searching elsewhere.

Experiencia fantástica: They were very flexible. We had an appointment in LJ, but the dentist called off sick. The LJ office then called the Pueblo office, and they were able to get us in the same. The office staff was very friendly and maintained their professionalism the entire time. The Dentist and his assistants did great as well.

Experiencia negativa: So strange... took the kiddos here..both had 5 cavities a piece...though my daughter just had X-rays in May with no Cavities...so who is telling the truth??...im no dentist, but have looked at my fair share of X-rays over the last 23 yrs in the medical field and don't see 5 cavities per mouth... UPDATE: WITH NEW DENTIST AND XRAYS: 1 cavity found able to Treat without Anesthesia. THIS PLACE IS SOOO SHADY!!!!

Experiencia negativa: This visit, one hygienist was really great, the other wasn't as personable. The dentist got irritated and left without discussing one child's teeth. He used to be nicer. That was unprofessional and not a good experience. Everyone used to be nicer there, actually, but they seem too stressed out and busy now.

I had my hands full with my one year old, and she offered to carry my diaper bag for me! Also great with kids and the dentist was also super nice and friendly. I would definitely recommend bringing your kids here!!!

Experiencia negativa: I have drove an hour and a half away every 3 months faithfully for my daughters cleanings, since we started going here many years ago they always allowed myself and her father to go back to help her as she is 7 nonverbal autistic, and has anxiety. One of us is always rubbing her legs while the other is one by her head to make it easier on her dental experience as well as the workers. Today they decided they wouldn’t let both back that they would only allow one but be unprofessional doing so saying I am lying about her past visits being two of us. After refereeing many family and friends because I swore by them and my past experiences.

They were very kind when the 3yr old was a little nervous about getting pictures of her teeth and a cleaning this time. But they made her as comfortable as possible. The dentist is always thorough and patient with the girls and their questions.

Experiencia negativa: Whoever does the phone scheduling is absolutely one of the rudest people I have dealt with since moving to Colorado. I ended up completely canceling all 4 of my kids appointments due to her attitude and we will be taking our business elsewhere. We hope keeping her employed there is worth losing the money for 4 kids braces and any future business from us because of her lack of people skills.

Experiencia fantástica: My daughter had a lot of pain, they saw her the next day early in the morning. I appreciated that they understood the urgency. Dentist found her problem and gave us the information to get surgery to remove all 4 wisdom teeth immediately, especially since she wears braces. I am thankful there are still Dentists the are kind and gentle. They are the best!

Experiencia negativa: It is a different dentist every single time you go in here. Every single time. Constantly doing unnecessary treatments and needing another appointment to correct the treatment done. Do not care about any pain older children feel when they make mistakes while doing dental work. Can’t even call in ibuprofen for a 14 year old with a 5 day long tooth infection from a filling they did incorrectly. Do your children a forgot and see a dentist that cares about smiles and their patients more than their books and bank accounts.

Experiencia fantástica: My three grandchildren have been going to Young at Heart Dental for some time. The service and the staff are great. I have no problem when it's time to go to the dentist, the kids are more then willing to go. That alone says it best.

Experiencia positiva: Dentist and everyone was very kind and nice. The facility was really nice and kid friendly. The front desk lady was rude and snarky. I was waiting patiently to ask a question about using the restroom and the lady with a middle lip piercing kept typing on the computer witch was fine. Then said to her co worker “This lady is just staring at me and won’t stop”. This is our very first time coming here I was unsure were the bathroom was. The lady next to her stood up and let me know where it was and that I could. I have never felt so uncomfortable before. Then snarky comments while my two year old was with me in the waiting room. I felt very uncomfortable and I did not like how I was treated. It should be a professional place. Not high school. I rate a 4 only bc everything else and everyone els was super nice. I will not be speaking to that receptionist again when we check in. If you don’t like kids don’t work somewhere were it’s literally for kids. I hope she Dont treat everyone like this. I went to my car and waited while my husband took our daughter back. That’s how uncomfortable I was.

Experiencia negativa: I'm very upset with this place they had my nephew strapped to a bed because he has autism that's insane !!! He's not a violent child at all!! Zero don't take your children here that's just disgusting!!

Experiencia negativa: Brought my 4yr old in because she had something in her eye and was having eye pain. Dr.Lee examined her and guaranteed me that there was nothing in her eye, that it was just an eye infection and tried to prescribe antibiotics. My daughter was still having pain the next day so we got a second opinion at Parkwest vision. Turns out there was something stuck in her eye in which the doctor removed, then flushed her eyes and prescribed eyedrops. I definitely would just skip over young at heart and head over to Parkwest if you care to have your issues resolved correctly the first time

Being a single mom can be hard so any little help with other giving her a pep talk always helps me out in all ways no one would understand but other Single Parents. So thank you for that I appreciate it all you said. She really needs to hear from others how much her Mom cares for her. Doctor Mark was one of the Sweetest People we've met recently as he had the upmost Care for My Daughter.he asked her multiple times if she was Okay. Which she responded "Yes". He reassured to let him know if she was in any pain or anything to let him or Stacy know. Thank You All for being so Kind & Thoughtful to us. Making Us feel like we are Safe & Comfortable.

Experiencia negativa: I had a good experience until recently. A month ago I brought my girls for a cleaning and they said my youngest had a cavity in the front teeth and to bring her back for some work. This was a terrible mistake. First off the cavity was maybe a dark shadowing and they recommended a crown. After they hacked off my kid’s front teeth to a nub and thereby they chipped away a bunch of good teeth and put a white in the front and silver in the back crown that looks off color (too white), short, and doesn’t match the rest of her teeth. It sticks out forward at a weird angle to boot. They must of ran out of the good caps because they couldn’t get the right length to match. My poor kid was kicking and fighting while in so much pain. They told me amidst all this that they can go look for a longer tooth and worse come to worse, I would have to come back to go through this again or go with what they have for now. I have been going there for 6 years and this is highly disappointing that they ruined my daughter’s smile. Even worse, they wanted to do 6 more crowns on my 8-year-old, two silver fillings, and told me she will need braces. My 8-year-old only has four adult teeth. I asked them for a rationale and the doctor said that cavities in between teeth cannot be fixed with fillings. They are too aggressive. My kids teeth have yellowing and their teeth are not chipped, black, or broken. I have been traumatized seeing this crown being put in. She started having night terrors and bedwetting again.

The staff is great and goes above and beyond to assist you in anyway possible (special thanks to Alicia). Thanks to the amazing staff at YAH, my kids have had wonderful experiences and are actually excited for their appointments! The fun atmosphere and friendliness of the staff stay consistent throughout the years.

Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Andrew came in and assesed my daughter's chipped tooth. He explained what may or may not happen and was very informative. Stacy was amazing with my daughter. Getting her tooth fixed after she chipped it just last night. She definitely knows her stuff, and is the sweetest to boot.

Stacey is amazing when it comes to explaining and also doesn't make it a boring visit! Very down to earth! Dr. Mark is great! Always prepares for more and if not needed we are both releived!! Experiencia fantástica: Stacy was really comfortable and kind with me while I was under the laughing gas. I almost passed out but she helped me relax and really made me less scared than I was. Dr. Andrew is really great too always makes me feel listened to.

Experiencia fantástica: Our experience at young at heart has always been fantastic. They always made us feel welcome and my son welcome as well. They work really well with kids and take their time. Stacy made sure to explain everything to me and then again to my son so he could understand. She also took the time to make him feel comfortable since he was very scared and worried. He is very scared due to prior experiences at other dentists but he’s mentioned he loves it here.
