Evanston Dental Care

Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Nolan and staff are extremely professional, knowledgeable, & personable from start to finish. From setting up an appointment, to walking in the door, and throughout the cleaning process; It was such an easy experience. Pam was great as the dental hygienist and very gentle. Highly recommend.

Experiencia fantástica: I am very happy since the last 13 years with Dr Nolan Chun and his staff. Pam my hygienist is very professional and at the same time kind and careful. I particularly appreciate this as I have sensitive teeth and have had issues in the past (with a different dentist/hygienist) with pain during and after dental appointments.

Experiencia fantástica: The team is really fantastic!! I’ve been going for a few years now and really have had a great experience with each person on staff.

Experiencia fantástica: I've been seeing Dr. Chun at Evanston Dental Care for ten years now. I've had two cavities filled and 20 cleanings at this practice. I love his staff, his caring nature and sense of humor. Issues are tracked carefully; I never feel like anything comes up out of the blue. He is also responsible for the fact that I floss my teeth with some regularity. He recommended that I floss while I am in the shower, and that habit bundling technique has worked for me. No one likes having their mouth drilled into, but when it has to be done, I trust Dr. Chun to make it as pain-free and easy as possible.

Experiencia fantástica: Great Place to get services done. Been coming for over 5 years!

Experiencia fantástica: Great dental service. Dr. Chun helped me resolved my urgent need quickly and affordably.

Experiencia fantástica: Great staff. Some of the best dental care I’ve received. My whole family goes to this dental clinic.

Experiencia fantástica: Great dentist. Very easy going and easy to talk to and does a great job!

Experiencia fantástica: UPDATE (April 2026): I continue to drive over 90 minutes and take time off work just to see Dr. Chun because he is a literal lifesaver! I recently had a whitening treatment that left my front bonding looking a bit off. I had them rebonded previously and even had someone else try to fix a specific imperfection I noticed, but they had no luck. For nearly a year, I felt like the bonding was slightly larger at the bottom, making my whole smile look crooked. Dr. Chun immediately saw exactly what I was talking about. He validated my concerns instantly and was able to fix it within minutes, saving the day. Your front teeth are the center of your face, and it is so rare to find a dentist with the talent to see those tiny gradient details and the skill to execute your vision perfectly. My smile is back to looking 10/10 and I couldn’t be happier! Original Review (3 years ago): I drive an hour to continue to get exceptional dental services from Dr. Chun! My front teeth broke when I was a child and no one makes the bonding look so perfect and natural. Dr. Chun always puts my best interest first and has continued to impress me. I've been a customer for years and will always be!! I forgot my insurance card today because I recently got a new job. They said don't worry about payment just send us your insurance card next week. I received services and was on my way. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! I can’t stop smiling after visiting Dr. Chun because my teeth look so great.

Experiencia fantástica: Great experience all around

Experiencia fantástica: I've been going to Dr Chun for over 5 years now and highly recommend him. He does great dental work and explains each step of the process. The office staff are so nice as well.

Experiencia fantástica: Great service from all staff! Highly recommend.

Experiencia fantástica: I’ve enjoyed being a patient of Dr. Chun’s at Evanston Dental for over ten years. Doctor is thorough and kind. Takes the time to explain things clearly if an issue arises. Doctor and staff are super patient with questions.

Experiencia fantástica: Dr Chun is kind, professional, and very honest. He explained everything clearly and the cost was very reasonable. The receptionist is also very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this office.

Experiencia fantástica: Dr Chun is great! Staff is warm and friendly.

Experiencia fantástica: 16 years of positive experiences here. Dr. Chun is great.

Experiencia fantástica: Dr.Chun and staff are all really skillful, pleasant and professional. They make seeing a dentist a lovely experience.

Experiencia fantástica: Best dental experience I’ve had in a long time. Scheduling was prompt and service was thoroughly efficient.

Experiencia fantástica: Evanston Dental Care provides great service! I have been attending Evanston Dental Care for 16+ years (maybe longer), and it continues to be a wonderful experience! I found Dr. Chun and his team after visiting another dentist who said I needed extensive dental work. Thankfully, I got a second opinion. I had two cavities back then and only one other cavity in those 16+ years! It is always the Cadillac treatment from the whole staff! On a visit this week, he said I can eat all the candy apples I want, as long as I keep brushing and floss. That is confidence and results you want from a dentist!

Experiencia fantástica: Always a great experience and super Easy to deal with. I appreciate how timely they are.

Experiencia fantástica: We started coming to this office several months ago. The team is friendly from the minute you walk through the door, thorough in all types of work, and knowledgeable about various issues around costs and services. Dr. Chun is extremely patient and we deeply appreciate that after previous dentists have left us with a desire to not keep seeing a dentist at all. So we are glad he is here and that he and his staff work so hard to make us feel welcome! For us, it’s worth it to drive a bit further to get here, and we will continue to come back. Thank you Evanston Dental.

Experiencia fantástica: Dr Chun gave me a great second opinion on work another dentist had tried to upsell me on. Turns out I didn't need it. Got my last cleaning there and it was great. They did an excellent job. Everyone at the office is very nice.

Experiencia fantástica: Cleaning was great today. Very quick and efficient. Professional staff

Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Chun is friendly and straightforward. I’ve received great care from this practice for 17 years. After I changed jobs, I tried to change to a dentist close to where I work, but after trying a couple of other dentists I came back because I like Dr. Chun best.

Experiencia fantástica: Absolutely fantastic dentistry. I have never felt more comfortable or taken care of. Thank you.

Experiencia fantástica: I’ve always had a great experience getting my teeth cleaned here!

Experiencia fantástica: We are so pleased with our experience with Dr. Nolan and the team at Evanston Dental Care. My husband and I have been patients here for over 5 years. We trust their insight and advice, and we’ve always received excellent and friendly treatment.

Experiencia fantástica: The entire staff is helpful and kind. Very professional and clean atmosphere, and always get me on my way on time!

Experiencia fantástica: Best dentist I've ever been to. Dr. Chun is so conscientious in his work and it's always a pleasure to visit him. Update 2025: Still going to Dr. Chun even though I don't work in the building anymore and it's a drive. He's also helped my husband with some challenging dental issues. The staff and hygienists are always great. We're big fans in our house!

Experiencia positiva: I have been going to Evanston Dental Care for about 2 years and have not had any bad experiences. Pam cleans my teeth so well and is so gentle and sweet! She educates me on how I can improve without the harsh criticism and guilt trip. She cleans my teeth with my braces on and makes sure I am all together! She listens to my concerns and offer solutions that help!

Experiencia fantástica: Every visit is pleasant and friendly, and I always appreciate the immediate scheduling of your next appointment!! They’re on top of their clients in the best way.

Experiencia fantástica: Pamela was wonderful. It is always a pleasure to see Dr. Chun

Experiencia fantástica: They are always very kind and flexible with appointments. Never been hurt or had any accidents happen, overall good experience.

Experiencia fantástica: Great service and professional staff.

Experiencia negativa: I am incredibly upset with the level of care I received at this dental office. My fiancé started going to this dentist and really liked him so l decided to give him a shot. The first visit was well over an hour long and I wasn't given a time estimate when scheduling so I needed to leave before they could do a full cleaning and the dentist made a remark about my "poor planning." Funny how my fiancé, a man with insurance, was in and out within 30-45 mins of his first appt but I was left waiting and chastised for my planning. They found a bad cavity in my first appt so l at least wanted to get that fixed and had already paid out of pocket for X-rays and the cleaning, so at that point it was probably sunken cost fallacy. My first visit, they had said "either a filling or a root canal" was needed for that tooth, I come back for the filling and am told "either a white filling or a silver one." I have had several bad cavities in my life and have always been able to get a white filling, so this is a completely new thing to me, I have no idea what a silver filling is and am not told what it is or any side effects or things that can happen with one until AFTER IT IS IN MY MOUTH. I assumed that at some point he would've said "yeah no there's no way we can do a white filling here, I'll proceed with the silver one, here's all the info about that." Nope. Just "all done, by the way I had to do the silver one, don't worry it's a good blend of metals and it's cheaper". I've been paying out of pocket for all of this and if he had asked, he would know I'm not at all concerned about cost for my teeth, I can cover a white filling if I needed to. So I paid $350 for a filling that I found out is made of Mercury and some metals I'm allergic to AFTER it was placed and then told that if it causes pain that we might need to do a root canal anyway. WHY DIDN'T WE JUST DO THE ROOT CANAL THEN?? So now l've paid $350 for a filling I'm looking to get removed by a different dentist and about $900 for all of my care there and nothing to show for it. Meanwhile my fiancé, again a man with insurance they accept, has only had good things to say and feels informed and affirmed in his choices there. I truly can't figure out if it's because I've been self paying or if it's just good old fashioned sexism that got me this level of treatment but either way, I will never be back.

Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Chun is hands down the best dentist I’ve had. The office is clean, the staff is friendly, and appointments run on time. Dr. Chun and team explains everything clearly and makes sure you’re comfortable throughout. Highly recommend for anyone looking for quality dental care.

Experiencia fantástica: Everyone is wonderfully helpful and super friendly. I've been coming here for years and am always been impressed with the level of care they give. They're also great at trying to help get you in as soon as possible for more urgent needs. Highly recommend! Your teeth couldn't be in better care than Evanston Dental.

Experiencia fantástica: Great clinic. They’re timely, concerned about patient care and do great work.

Experiencia fantástica: Great office visit as always! Pamela is a delight to have working on my teeth and Michelle helming the front desk like a rockstar!

Experiencia fantástica: Gentle, thorough, friendly care. Thank you!

Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Chun was great, very patient and attentive!

Experiencia fantástica: Best dentist in Chicago/ Evanston! Thanks for 12 awesome years

Experiencia fantástica: This is the first dentist I picked after moving to the area and I've been coming here for years getting consistent, high quality, timely, and professional care. I've also seen great results , would highly recommend!

Experiencia fantástica: First time there. Best dental appointment experience I ever had

Experiencia fantástica: Dr Chun is the best. He is the GOAT of Dentistry. YVETTE ROSS

Experiencia fantástica: I really enjoy coming to Dr. Chun. He and his team always take good care of me and my teeth. Highly recommend.

Experiencia fantástica: Excellent dentist and staff!! Dr. Chun is an artist!

Experiencia fantástica: Love the care I have received! Dr. Chun fixed a problem crown placed by a previous dentist, and just recently did another - he is so gentle and precise. I would recommend him to friends and family

Experiencia fantástica: First time visit- was recommended to Dr Chun because he’s super kind and the office is friendly. I can attest to both! Addie was my hygienist and she took her time to help make me comfortable before and through the dental cleaning (I have sensitive teeth), and the front desk employee was also very nice. Considering they’re in an office building they have decent calendar availability, too.

Experiencia fantástica: Been going to this dentist for YEARS!!! Always been a pleasure. And that’s saying a lot about the great care I have consistently received. Highly recommend!

Experiencia fantástica: Great staff, easy to get in for appointments!

Experiencia positiva: great staff understand of needs and helpful

Experiencia fantástica: I love it here! I have only ever had wonderful service from both billing and the dental team. I recommend them for everyone and can not rave enough about this location. I used to be afraid of the dentist and now I look forward to visits. Thanks again

Experiencia fantástica: I have never had a bad experience here. I am reluctant when it comes to dentist due to previous experience but everyone here is great and knowledgeable.

Experiencia fantástica: Felt comfortable during my procedure, no pain!

Experiencia fantástica: I love bringing my daughter here every 6months for her teeth cleaning. Front desk staff, dental assistants and Dr. Chun are always so professional. The location is clean and well lit.

Experiencia negativa: Service is fine, BUT make sure you do not automatically get services not covered by your insurance. This has happened to me at least three times: first fluoride, then some sort of scan, and another time fluoride without asking if I wanted it. Maybe an issue with the new employees. Given the insurance landscape is complex, providers should try to be as clear as they can to better serve patients, instead of waiting for patients to learn and pay the cost.

Experiencia fantástica: Truly on the best dental experiences I’ve ever had. Dr. Chun was so reassuring when discussing all of my concerns, and my hygienist Pam was thorough and kind. Could not recommend this team enough!

Experiencia fantástica: Dr Chun has always taken good care of my teeth in the past 5 years of coming!

Experiencia fantástica: Addie was an amazing dental hygienist and got my teeth feeling smooth! Dr. Chun is kind and funny and puts me at ease. The office staff are sweet and kind and always make me feel welcome. This is truly a FAMILY dentist!

Experiencia fantástica: Wonderful team! Enjoyed my experience during my first appointment and I’m definitely eager to be a consistent patient.

Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Chun and Pam are great! And do a wonderful job

Experiencia fantástica: Everyone here is so friendly. Dr Chun and his team are very pleasant and are always so nice. I would recommend this dental office to everyone!

Experiencia fantástica: I’m a long time patient and a big fan of Dr. Chun’s conservative approach to long term dental care

Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Chun and his team are great! Dr. Chun is kind, friendly, thorough, and trustworthy. I have also had only positive interactions with the front office staff and hygienists. I highly recommend this practice.

Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Chun is great as is the staff!

Experiencia fantástica: professional, clean, and friendly dentist office! have been coming here for a few years, is great :)

Experiencia fantástica: My husband and I were desperate for a new dentist as we had become increasingly dissatisfied with the care we were receiving from another dentist. We happily found Evanston Dental Care - and we could not be more pleased! Dr. Chun is thorough, professional, friendly and meticulous. I had previously had frequent trouble with gum issues, sometimes needing antibiotics to clear up infections. All of that has gone away since I have been seeing Dr. Chun. His cleaning alone is far superior than any I have had before. I highly recommend Dr. Chun and Evanston Dental Care. If I could give even more stars, I would :)
