The quality of work is the best I’ve experienced and I have had many treatments across a handful of places over my lifetime and this place is my favorite, I always recommend here when friends or family need a trustworthy place to go.

As someone with horrible dental anxiety, it was super important for me to find a practice that was understanding of that. The staff were understanding of that and really kind and warm to begin with. I saw Dr. Valentine for my first two visits and Dr. Kwok on my third visit. Both were so kind, professional, knowledgeable and patient with me. I also have such low pain/discomfort tolerance and they always prioritized my comfort during the procedures (cleaning, fillings, and dental crown)! Samantha and Sabrina also helped with my procedures and they were both really great! I would recommend this dental clinic to anyone.

Experiencia negativa: I am pretty bummed to be writing this review, but in hopes it helps someone else not get taken for nearly 2K, and after multiple attempts to try to find resolution with this facility, here we are. I made an appt for a crown replacement before the end of the year. My appt was for Jan. 19. They told me they would call me before to confirm benefits (they had always done this for an estimate). On January 19, at 8am, they text me to send a picture of my insurance card. I did immediately. I went to my appt two hours later and nothing was said to me about my benefits. I should have asked, but they has always been great and I figured I’d owe a couple hundred dollars. I checked out of my appt and was told I owe $1800. I asked the receptionist if my insurance didn’t cover it or why it was so high. She said they did, but this is what I owed. It didnt sit right so when I got home I asked for an itemized bill to be sent to me, which then showed ZERO dollars was paid by insurance. I then called the office and said I called my insurance and they do cover this procedure so why was I being charged this full amount? The manager Jacky THEN tells me “well your insurance is out of network so you have to pay the full amount and if they pay anything, we will refund”. Only then was I also told they had not confirmed my benefits before my appointment. That was not told to me at arrival or at checkout, even after I directly asked why it was so high. I pushed back, as I have been their client for six years and was flabbergasted they would charge me more than the full amount they'd usually receive. She told me they'd get $900-1100 if I had still been with my previous insurance carrier. I said I realize I should have asked, but you have always given me an estimate or told me, and I was lied to at checkout that it was run and only AFTER i said I called my insurance did they THEN tell me it was out of network. I asked to come to some sort of compromise on the bill, as them making MORE off me than they would if I was insured seemed absolutely wrong. The manager Jacky told me she would hear back in 4-6 weeks from my insurance and we could address it then. I received my EOB from my insurance on January 29 that they paid out the claim. I heard nothing from the dental. On February 24, after ZERO contact, I reached out for a follow up. I was told they “just” received the check yesterday as their bookkeeper was on vaca. It was less than $400. I, again, asked if they’d like to make things right as it seems unfair they are making $600 more off me when they didn’t run my insurance or communicate it was out of network when I arrived. I asked if it would be fair for a compromise and they take the amount they wouldve got from my previous insurance, I eat $800 instead of $1800, and they net the same as they would have instead of making a profit off of being unethical. She said she’d check with the owners and get back to me. Never heard back. On March 3, I asked where the check was as I was leaving town for a few weeks and this unexpected amount was already such a strain. (No payment plan was offered after the appt either). On March 4, I received a text back from Jacky “the check was mailed. I would think you would have it by today.” I returned home on 3/30 to the check that was POSTDATED on 3/9 - five days after she said it was mailed. Another lie. And zero concern or care for the financial burden this put on me, as I paid in full at checkout in hopes this would be made right. I really struggled writing this review as I do not hand out 1 stars. And they really do have a GREAT dentist there. Unfortunately, to pay for insurance, and deal with an unethically ran business like this with dishonesty, instead of making it right and working with a client of 6 years…leaves me here. If you care about surprise costs or an ethically run business, I'd recommend elsewhere. *pictures are just one example of the dishonesty. Manager said check was mailed before March 4, it was post dated March 9. The check date was 2/12.

Experiencia fantástica: I have been at Icon Dental for the last few years and have consistently seen Dr. Kwok since 2023. I have ALWAYS had dentist angst but since coming to Icon even prior to Dr. Kwok, it is gone. The team is incredible. From the moment you walk in, the sweet receptionist/coordinator knows your name and throught the multiple Drs/Othos/hygentists I’ve seen, the approach is the same. The patient experience comes first. Dr. Kwok is an actual angel. She listens, takes me along in my care and ensure I understand what she is doing, always greets with a (masked) smile on her face, pays attention to the details, and makes going to the dentist feel like a warm hug (as warm as a dentist can be) vs a cold hour of pure stress. On top of it all, I have the most admiration for how she treats the dental assistants. She is their partner, teacher, and cheerleader, not their intimidating boss. As someone who visits a lot of medical professionals, this is so rare. The world needs more Dr. Kwoks! I live far from Icon now and I will always come back to Dr. Kwok!

Experiencia negativa: Warning: Avoid this clinic. Last year, I was told a deep cleaning was required and mostly covered by my insurance. After completing half the treatment, I was hit with a massive bill and told it wasn't covered. Even though it was their mistake, they threatened me with collections until I paid in full. To make matters worse, they promised I would qualify for the rest of the treatment after November and said they would call me—I never received that call. They are quick to demand money but fail to follow through on their word. Stay away.

Back staff are absolutely incredible. Very attentive. Every other clinic I have gone to I leave wondering exactly what I need to improve on. Not here. They made sure I knew exactly what was going on in my mouth, how to improve my over all oral care and I didn’t feel pressured to get unnecessary treatment. If I could give 10 stars I would in a heart beat.

Experiencia fantástica: Calm & clean environment. Always relaxed and felt comfortable prior to appointment. On the few occasions had problems with my braces they were quick to be able to fit me in for an appointment to address. Nothing but friendly and courteous staff.

Experiencia fantástica: I love that there's lots of parking and the facility is always clean and inviting. I've had both dentists check on my teeth and they're super friendly and knowledgeable! I always ask questions and they're more than happy to answer. I also like that they're honest about procedures and recommend things with your best interest and health in mind. The hygienists are also really friendly

Experiencia negativa: I had been going to the Everett location since before they changed ownership - 27 years. For the most part, they are friendly. If you're looking for dental service with a smile, they are awesome. If you're looking for long term solutions, maybe not so much. Amongst several minor issues that built up over time, the final straw for me was when I waited two weeks to be seen by my dentist. I was seen by one of their traveling dentists who 1st: asked me what my name was and 2nd: said yes, I had a cracked tooth and would have to come back when my regular dentist was there. Had my records sent to a new dentist. When I told the girl at the front desk that they were losing three patients, I got a smile and an OK. 27 years at the same building. Sad.

Experiencia positiva: NOTE: Revised rating from 1 star to 3 stars - I do appreciate the efforts made to contact me after I posted my original rating and review. - Everyone has different experiences and results; it was those that caused me to post originally. - The sincerity of the efforts made caused me to change my scoring. - In the time span of the efforts to contact me (calls & texts) I'd already gotten an appointment with a different dentist. = = = (Original score was 1 star; original review follows) = = = Is this really a business? - Did NOT respond to online submissions - especially for new patients (as advertised). - Did/Does NOT respond to phone calls and messages to published phone number. - Even a polite rejection "We're not accepting new patients right now" would have been acceptable and appreciated. After three weeks and multiple attempts - moving on.

Experiencia fantástica: I had to move my dental services from Mukilteo to somewhere nearer so I can just drive conveniently. I was not disappointed with the care I got from my dentist Dr Aboulhosn who is just amazing and puts you at ease and of course Kailee, my dental hygienist. I never outgrew my fear of dentists and everything about teeth but I was not disappointed and glad I come to this dental office. All very kind people from the receptionist who knows you by name and greets warmly yo the whole procedure after. Thanks Icon.

Experiencia fantástica: Our family has been going to Icon for years now. Our experience with them has always been great. They are not only professional but welcoming , friendly and fun group as well. Kailee, my hygienist, is the best! She’s very thorough yet gentle, always making sure I’m comfortable and cared for. Will recommend Icon for sure to anybody.

Experiencia fantástica: Icon Dental is a passionate, detail, through dentist office. If a person is nervous going to the dentist the staff listens and helps anyway they can. The dental work performed is excellent. All staff members care about their client needs and works around costs if any thar can occur . I highly recommend Icon dental.

Experiencia fantástica: Best dentist I've ever been to - and I don't like going to the dentist. They are kind, good at what they do and happy to answer my many questions. I had braces through them and several dental implants. I highly recommend Dr Valentine and her team!
