Experiencia fantástica: I know several friends that go to CU Dentists and have all had great experiences. From the front desk staff Melissa and Katelyn and the new young lady that is there now. They always seem to have the answers and are always accommodating . They make the environment feels like home . The exceptional hygienists, have all been there for along time and that says a lot about the Dentists they work with. Dr Shorsch & Dr Scott both have a calming demeanor, easy going and also extremely intelligent. They both are always honest with me and you can tell they’re patient- focused rather than revenue focused. Today, I had a cosmetic procedure and Dr Shorsch explained it thoroughly and gave me options prior to proceeding. He wanted to make sure I was happy with the results before leaving the office. Throughout the whole procedure I never felt pain. He was gentle and always reassuring. I love the outcome and I feel like I can smile again without being self conscious. Allison was the dental hygienist that assisted during the procedure. She was so sweet and genuine and ensured I was comfortable the whole time.They make a great team. All my questions were answered. Please be sure to check out this awesome place! They make you feel apart of the family. All around great people. Christie was very thorough with my teeth cleaning letting me know what she was doing every step. Dr. Schorsch super nice guy, very professional, explained things very well, gave me options and ideas of costs and factored in my insurance coverage on the spot. That was so helpful. My recommendation...if your looking for a dentist, or not too crazy about the one your with, send your records here! They'll even walk you through how to do that, too!

Experiencia fantástica: I always have a great experience at the CU Dentist office, both in Rantoul and Champaign. Dr. Robert Schorsch is so gentle, trustworthy, and personable. He truly listens to your concerns, your pain, and your goals. I am never nervous around him!! I also loved my dental assistant, Kate in Champaign. She cleaned my teeth so gently and had a great conversation with me while I was in the chair.

Experiencia fantástica: Get dental care! The hygienist was very professional and personable! She made an effort to describe how I am doing with addressing my self care needs. However, when I went to pay I was told I would be assessed a 3% fee if I wanted to use a credit card! This new policy is very disappointing to me! In fact I was incensed! CU Dentist charges are already over the reasonable and customary fees of my dental plan and now they want an additional 3%. When is enough, enough?

Everyone was very kind and understanding and I didn’t feel judged a single bit. They also made sure to communicate clearly what was going on with my teeth. He also explained what he noticed and next steps.... To me not just the hygienist. I am so used to just being invisible to the dentist. I have been going to CU Dentist for a couple of years. Everyone is very friendly and I have never had any issues. I recommend them if you are looking for a new dentist.

The entire staff at CU was friendly and pleasant but my dental hygienist, Tina, was amazing. She was thorough, informative, competent but just as important she was fun to be around. Great sense of humor. It’s pretty hard to make a trip to the dentist enjoyable but they pulled it off. I can’t rate them any higher or I would.

Kristine was amazing, as usual and Dr. Scott was friendly and took the time to help try to fix an issue I was having with my teeth. The ladies at the front desk were also very friendly. Thank you for the wonderful care. 12/5/24 appointment was a pleasure as usual. I provided my insurance information one week in advance, yet the office waited until 46 minutes before my appointment to inform me that it would not be accepted and asked me to pay $573 for a basic, routine cleaning. When I declined and requested to cancel my appointment, the front desk staff member, Melisa, abruptly hung up the phone without any explanation or apology. This arrogant and dismissive attitude made me wonder whether it may be correlated with the fact that the staff and clientele at this clinic appear to be entirely white.

I’ve seen a couple of different providers here and never feel like they really care about the patient. Very generic, bland interactions. Almost like they’re bored. But overall, good care.

Experiencia negativa: My appointment was at 1pm. Because the dentist went to lunch until 1 pm. I sat in the chair for over an hour waiting for him. They took a few xrays which took about 10 minutes. If the appointment was at 1 and the doctor got back from lunch at 1. Why did I have to wait for an hour to see the doctor He came in finally and did a 5 minute exam and told me that I needed to redo 3 other crowns and that it would cost me over 6000.00 dollars you cannot make me believe that to replace 4 crowns would cost me that much money. I call it legalized robbery. This is happening to often these days. I am beyond aggravated but nothing I can say or do is going to change this
