Experiencia negativa: If you aren't an easy case and you require actual professional dental work, don't come to Dr Franklin.

Experiencia positiva: I hate to leave a negative review, because everyone I've interacted with at this office has been very professional and kind. They removed a permanent retainer for me and fitted me for a removeable and all of that went very well. I tried to schedule a cleaning and was told I would need x-rays first. I expressed that I wasn't comfortable with that and would need to go elsewhere if they’re mandatory. They told me I would have a hard time finding an office that will do a cleaning without an x-ray, because "it allows for us to do a proper cleaning and diagnose any treatment needs. Without those the hygienist and doctor essentially go in blind." That sounded strange to me. So I looked at the ADA guidelines. Those guidelines "emphasize the importance of performing a thorough clinical examination PRIOR TO taking images to determine whether they are necessary." The guidelines also emphasize that there is no one-size-fits-all schedule for x-rays. That needs to be determined based on individual risk and need. So I was surprised to be told the x-rays are necessary for the dentist or hygienist to have an understanding of what’s going on in my mouth. I find it concerning that they don’t seem to be up to date on the ADA guidelines for x-rays. Perhaps I misunderstood, but I felt they were clearly telling me the opposite of what the guidelines state: that there is indeed a one-size-fits-all schedule, and Signature is using x-rays just as a matter of course, and not only after determining they are necessary because of clinical findings.

Took me a few trys but finally found the place and service I was looking. They r so awesome I have finally found a dentist that listens to me make sure I am comfortable also explain exactly what they r going to do before doing. I can't say enough about them.

It was our first time there and my toddler felt very comfortable which was important to me. I liked the fact that the bathroom had a changing table and a step stool because my son did have to use the restroom and it made everything very accessible for him which is hard to find for kids. Everyone was very friendly.

I've had them do a lot of complicated dental work on me including full upper teeth replacent with an all-on-4 hybrid. I am thrilled with how well it's all turned out. Another great thing about SFD is they have managed to keep the same high-quality staff intact for as long as I've been going to the Angier office (about 6 yrs). That's extremely rare these days and a real bonus.

Experiencia negativa: It does not make much sense to me to clean and polish my teeth first, then scrap tartar and probe my gums with a pick after the cleaning. Also was asked if I had ever tried a prescription mouthwash for my gums and I said no. I thought I would be getting a prescription to fill at the drugstore. Instead when I got ready to go I was presented with the mouthwash and told it was $41. Ok, no problem. When I get home I see it is for anti-cavity, not gums. Hmmm. Amazing too how I floss on a regular basis and no bleeding gums but once the dental hygienist picked my gums I was bleeding and needing a “prescription” mouthwash. Really felt like a disorganized visit and a way to get $41 for the mouthwash they have at the office. Think it is time to go back to another dental practice.

I’m only in there every six months, but it always feels like I’m picking up with friends when I come in. I recently took my 3 year olds in and they did AMAZINGLY well with them! I was super impressed! Also of course loved the TVs so they could watch Cocomelon while getting their teeth looked at. Recently went in again, and of course had a wonderful experience. I can’t recommend them enough. LOVE that the Angier office is so much closer for me than Holly Springs!
