Front desk is still awesome :) Update 07/25 If I could give 10 stars I would. The whole crew at the reception desk is phenomenal including their office managers. Dr. Korolyov and his assistant Z were so good with me, I had a lot of dental baggage coming with me and they took the time to listen to my concerns. I ended up having to have a root canal and had a meltdown, Dr. Mona and his assistants were awesome, he was so understanding and gentle that I was able to remain calm the entire procedure. After care was not so bad either as I anticipated major pain but it wasn't anything 2 doses of Tylenol couldn't help. I really am happy to be at this clinic. 05-25 I had my 1st visit this week and so far so good! The office was clean, the receptionist was pleasant and took care of me quickly. The dental assistant and dentist were also pleasant and made me feel at ease right away. The dentist told me everything he was going to do before he did it making it a better experience for me, as I hate dentists lol.

My parents and I have all received care here, and every experience has been positive. I truly can’t say enough good things about the front desk staff, as well as the technicians. Dr. Adam Cohen and Dr. Phillip Meehan have both been thorough, informative, and thoughtful in explaining options and solutions. Dr. Meehan, in particular, provided the best experience I’ve had with wisdom tooth removal. He put me completely at ease after a not-so-great experience with another surgeon elsewhere for a previous extraction. This is absolutely a practice I will continue to use and recommend whenever dental care is needed.

He performed the procedure quickly and skillfully, with minimal discomfort. His manner was both professional and reassuring. The office staff was also great. Experiencia fantástica: 12/8/2025 going into Higgins Family Dental is more seeing friends. Everyone is very welcoming and friendly. In my case , I am usually only there for biannual cleanings. In the past , I have had fillings, crowns and implants done Had a thorough cleaning today with xrays and fluoride treatment. Decision One dental plan put the cost at $140 well worth it. I went in knowing a filling in a front tooth was loose. Discussed the options- redo filling or do a crown. I will back next week for a crown and eliminate the filing. 2022 Convenient location with off street parking. Higgins dental offers full service including implants. Staff is friendly and helpful . Procedures are fully explained if, you wish to be told. Patients comfort is most important . After several years of excellent service with Dr. Korolyov and Jackie , hygienist, I found myself in need of an implant last fall. With the new office, came Dr Meehan, oral surgeon, and Grace , his assistant. One stop shopping - no running around to different locations for the implant and then the crown. Grace and Dr. Meehan are friendly, informative, and very attentive to patient comfort. Thank you Higgins Dental!

As always, I was greeted with a beautiful smile from Anna who has been a reliable long time team member. My go to hygienist has always been Flo, but our schedules did not mesh. I was seen by Jackie for the first time and I was so impressed with her kind and caring manner. Her clinical and educational skills are outstanding. Dr Cohen came in and I am happy to report, I passed his extensive exam. I promised them I would be a better patient and get in for my 6 month hygiene appointment. This dental team is great! I highly recommend them.

My tooth broke and made a call to see if I could get in. Kathy answered the phone and was so very pleasant Got me in that day. The rest of the staff was most excellent. Thank you very much.

Experiencia negativa: I have been a client of Dr Parker for years going back to when they were on Lawrence ave. Dr Parker left the practice and the new doctors and staff went down hill. Had a crown put in last month. The doctor ground down the tooth to much to cause hot and cold sensitivity. Also left high spot that traps floss and food. Total incompetence. Assistants are always 2 steps behind. Need to find new practice after 25 plus years. I called office to let them know my concerns as their response stated. They had no interest in anything I had to say. They are a shell of what they used to be. A terrible practice now. Dr Parker and sher would be sad to see what Dr Cohen has done to his practice. So I added a response to their response and they type there standard message again to show a response. Shows they don't care one bit about any of their patients. Think twice about going to this inconsiderate business. Total corperatation now. Don't care about any of their patients.

Experiencia negativa: Doctors are amazing, front desk not so much they get so mad at you for missing an appointment so they give you 5 months out to reschedule or nothing, knowing they have more openings, life happens it shouldnt be that difficult to reschedule a cleaning at least not 5 months later. Or who knows theyre probably just doing what their told

Experiencia fantástica: A real practice that focuses on dental health and relationships. If that's what you're after this is the place! There are so many dental practices and dentists in Chicago it's overwhelming. It's also surprising then how many are mediocre at best. Most seem to either rotate patients with random hygienists and doctors OR focus on selling you Botox and other cosmetic care. This is a very thoughtful practice that is both extremely efficient and very personal.

Experiencia fantástica: It all started when I was scouting for an oral surgeon. Every place I called right off the bat stated they were not accepting my insurance. But Anna got my information called back and booked an appointment. I told myself this is a good place. Grace promptly and expertly took x-rays and Nancy pleasantly ushered me into the dentist cubicle. Dr. Meehan explained the situation and outlined the options for treatment. After deciding to do the procedure that day, Anna came in with the particulars. The charges were upright and straightforward and without hidden fees. But the highlight of this unexpected turn of events was when they learned it was birthday and they greeted me with a video presentation. I already referred a friend to them and for the first time, I felt confident and relaxed in a dental clinic.

The front staff is truly amazing they take most insurances and they give you a pre-estimate on your upcoming treatment. I can’t speak highly enough of the dentist and hygienist at this practice. Anyone looking for a new Dentist or hygienist I would highly recommend this office. It is new, very clean and high tech .

Experiencia negativa: I had a deeply upsetting and traumatizing experience at this office during what should have been a routine dental cleaning. The hygienist who worked on me was a temporary fill-in — something I was never informed of beforehand and would have not felt comfortable with if informed. After the fact, I found out the dentist himself didn’t even know her full name, how long she had been practicing, or what her experience level was. Despite that, the office allowed her to conduct my entire appointment unsupervised — from X-rays to cleaning — with no oversight. She attempted to begin a deep cleaning without any numbing solution. Thank God I asked for it, because even with numbing, I’ve never experienced pain like that during a cleaning. I had to ask her to stop — something I’ve never had to do in my life. I told her she was hurting me, and that it felt like my teeth were being scraped down. She told me that was “impossible.” But here we are today — with almost all of my teeth now visibly jagged and shortened. I have before and after photos showing the damage. At my follow-up, the actual dentist barely acknowledged what happened. He offered no solution other than to “smooth out” my already damaged teeth by shaving them down even more. No accountability or further solution whatsoever. This office was recommended by my daughter’s pediatrician — and to say I’m disappointed is a major understatement. My smile will never be the same, and what she took from me can’t be restored. All because the office allowed someone unvetted and unsupervised to work on me. Maybe if I wasnt a new patient, the care would have been different. I don’t know. But what I do know is I’m disgusted, and I will be moving forward with formal complaints. Patients deserve transparency, professionalism, and basic respect — none of which I received here.

My teeth and gums have never looked so white and felt like really, really clean. Luz, the dental hygienist, remained focused on my cleaning despite me asking lots of questions. She didn't miss a beat! Some preventative measures were discussed, not pressed by them but rather a conversation about what could help me do my part in between visits. Experiencia negativa: Made an appointment here because of the wonderful reviews. I was looking for a reputable local dentist that would do my wisdom teeth extraction. Thought the appointment process was seamless, got my pano x-rays done there a couple of weeks before my scheduled extraction and thought I made a great decision. Good thing I called a week before my scheduled day to follow up, since I didn’t receive a call of patient preparation prior to surgery. They said there was a mix up and that the time scheduled for me would not work for the doctor due to time constraints and that I would have to reschedule. I had to have my family member switch their shifts to be able to drive me to and from the appointment, switch my shift at the hospital to have that day free as well as a couple days after, for this appointment to not even be on that day. Extremely frustrating. They were very apologetic, however, it tainted this office for me. I would have loved to come here but who’s to say if I make an appointment with them again, if the same confusion will happen. Unfortunate.

The front desk staff was helpful, knowledgeable, and professional. The hygienist, Luz, is the shining star of this review however. I’m in my 50’s—I’ve had several dentists and hygienists work on my teeth— the very few that I thought were good are barely mediocre compared to Luz. She gave me more information about the process of my visit than I’ve ever had before and also the most comprehensive and thorough cleaning I have ever had. Her friendly and professional demeanor is very reassuring and her knowledge and skills are impressive. The dentist was friendly and very professional. This office and its staff continue to make a great impression.

Experiencia fantástica: Cracked my back molar 2 days ago eating popcorn (that's what I get for late night snacking) lol called higgins family dental the next morning, and they got me in the same day with dr. Cohen. The first positive was that they called me to tell me they were a bit behind and i was accidentally double booked with someone else. They didnt want me to have to wait around. I REALLY appreciated that gesture. I was in the waiting room for a very minimal amount of time. First person I met at the office was ivan the dental assistant...who is the friendliest and kindest gentleman. It was like we were old friends! He took the time to get to know me, and made me feel calm and comfortable. (He even went above and beyond and looked up some info for me that was unrelated to my dental stuff). Truly a pleasure to get to know him! Then I met dr. Cohen. He is OUTSTANDING. I have had bad experiences with dentists who are cold, rushy, pushy, and just overall unpleasant, but dr. Cohen has EXCELLENT bedside manner. He is calm, reassuring, gentle, and honest. He really took his time to make sure he didn't rush the job, and to make the experience comfortable. He was checking on me constantly, and made sure i was okay. He is so great that i have now switched to him permanently as my general dentist. Then I met Nancy, the other dental assistant. Again, like an old friend. Super friendly and always with a smile. Gentle with her care, and made me laugh a ton! She made the time pass quickly with great conversation. She made sure my experience was exceptional! Price was right as well. I needed a crown and filling, and I paid WAY less than I have at other dentists. They are not money grabbers and don't try to force you to buy more things. (It is also nice that they have everyone on site i.e. endodontists etc., so you don't have to go to 10 places for 1 issue.) I would give this place 10 stars if I could. Do yourself a favor and check this place out! Only drawback is the appointments are months out for a cleaning, but that just tells you how many people go here for their care...So I'm willing to make my appts a few months in advance!

Experiencia fantástica: I visited this clean and modern office yesterday for the first time, which is conveniently located right off the I-90 with plenty of free parking just steps from the entrance. I was greeted by three ladies at the front desk, who were all very nice and kind, and was in the exam area in less than a minute. The whole process for this appointment was efficient and well done, and I was on my way home in no time. I had Luz for my cleaning and she was so sweet, sharing all these great tips for dental health. She explained everything as she went. I went back today for a cap. Nancy. And Dr. Cohen were so gentle. I'm a nervous patient so I really appreciated their patience and explaination of everything. Nancy chatted to keep me company in between molds. I can't say enough how much I love this office. I believe I've finally found a dental office ill stay with.

He truly was professional & shows great care when doing his job. Dr Mike came in afterward & was also very helpful explaining some things to me regarding an ongoing problem. They’ve done a great job of making me feel welcome and comfortable and I couldn’t be more excited to continue working with them on my dental treatment plan . Top quality treatment in my opinion. The receptionist are an absolute joy and the hygienist and doctors are kind. Would definitely recommend service to friends and family!

We were really satisfied with not only the room . The staff were nice and answered all my questions. And we got to see Cher whom we know from the old office. Experiencia fantástica: I had a bad tooth. A filling popped out and was lazy to take care of it. It ended up giving me major problems. They saw me for an emergency X-ray and showed it was decaying. My only issue I had with them was the length of time they wanted me to wait for the extraction. I nearly went to another dentist because one month would not cut it. So over the weekend it was getting out of hand. After searching for other places and those places telling me I had to pay at least $200 to just see me like a consultation. I called them back and luckily they had a recent cancellation. I took the next day and they were so accommodating. Everyone was so kind and didn’t put you down like you know make you feel guilty on why I waited so long. Aspen Dental are pros at that. Plus they didn’t milk me for all my money like Aspen did over a year ago. The procedure was fast and painless. Best dental office I’ve ever been too. Update 2 months later. Came for my visit to have my partial remodeled. They wanted to add on to it. They looked at it and said my particular partial could not be added on to. So they called my insurance company to see if they covered it when I got it a little over a year ago. If they did then a new one would cost over a Grand due to the every 5 year coverage. Turns out they didn’t bill for it so I’m getting a brand new partial for $156. This comes to show how honest this place is. Wonder how honest many other places would be in this situation? Plus they are going to repair my upper partial because one of the metal pinsthat holds it in securely broke and they will fix it for $20. I’ve seen all the reviews on this place and it’s no wonder they are a 4.9 rating with hundreds of reviews. Very difficult to keep a great rating like that with all the overall reviews. Maybe a handful of 4 star reviews but nothing under that. That’s what you call a great business.
