This team has completely changed my experience and I have now seen them regularly for a few years. From the moment you walk in, they go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable. Every hygienist I’ve seen has been kind, patient, and understanding, taking the time to check in and make sure I’m okay throughout the appointment. Dr. Mele is absolutely wonderful, she’s gentle, reassuring, and genuinely caring. They are very accommodating and offer thoughtful comforts like weighted blankets, music, television, headphones. If you have dental anxiety, I highly recommend Davis & Engert Dentistry for a safe and supportive environment.

Experiencia fantástica: My wife and I moved to the area a few years after they started their dentistry practice in Park Ridge, My wife asked a medical doctor friend, if he could recommend a good dentist. He said he goes to Dr. Davis and he was well pleased. We made our first appointment way back then, and our entire family has been going there ever since. We also have recommended this dentistry by word of mouth even before google was born, and of course, before google reviews existed. Well it's 2026 and my wife and I are older than dirt. We still have all of our teeth and we have this dentistry practice to thank for it. The least we can do to express our sincere appreciation is to submit this review which is way overdue. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. This is the dentistry you should trust your family's teeth with.

This past weekend my 14 year old son fainted, fell flat on his face and broke his 2 front teeth. I called the emergency number on a Sunday night and Dr Davis called me back a few minutes later. She assured me that my son would be ok and had him in her office the next morning. I cannot thank and praise Dr Davis and her staff enough for what they did for my son Lucas and I….. we are eternally grateful !

Experiencia fantástica: I have been going here for a few years, seeing Dr.Engert and just recently Dr.Julie. Having been to a couple other dentists, this place is by far the most professional, seeming to have the latest equipment to work with on patients. The staff is always very kind and comforting. I have never had to wait more than a few minutes past my appt time. They have TV's in the ceiling for you to watch or listen to something and take your mind off the lovely sounds of dentistry tools ;) I recently started invisalign and the experience has been very easy, I can't believe I will have straight teeth in a matter of months. I recommend invisalign and Davis and Engert to everyone!

The office has a warm and welcoming feel. A very impressive team greeted me at the front including: Jackie, Cassie and Linda who work together providing "concierge" like care for patients. They are always smiling, very helpful and always have time for the patients. Thank you. Dr. Davis was referred to me by a personal friend of mine who is also a dental professional and I can certainly see why! Dr. Davis is very, very detailed and exacting. She performed the most complete dental exam I have ever had and looks not only at the teeth but at a patients entire health history. She is easy to relate with and explains things very carefully as she assesses and creates a dental plan for you. Her office is also state of the art. Before you even get off the chair one of her assistants helps you make your appointments in accordance to your schedule.I was nervous about this appointment as I had completed gum surgery a month ago and I knew there were dental issues. But now I have a game plan and am getting my dental health back . . . and smiling again! Dr. Davis's dental assist team is top notch as well and includes: Ashley, Ceecee, and Jenny.They work seamlessly with Dr. Davis and are very caring, capable, and very good at relating to the patients. It was my first time meeting Lainey because she’s fairly new to the staff. I was thankful and very impressed by the teamwork, and cooperation between these two highly professional people! I was and am in awe of the level of respect that these women have for each other,and the way that they spoke to each other. I am thankful to Dr Mele for her dedication to me as a patient and being extremely focused on providing me with the very best care of my mouth. Her love of dentistry is apparent and so is here love for her patients! I have come to Davis and Engert for years! I truly care for the entire staff at this practice. I had an injury to my mouth,and needed surgeries,and comprehensive care. Dr Mele has been an excellent dentist,and support through this entire ordeal. Later I received a bill and i guess the front desk lady made a mistake and they do not take my insurance. Just be honest with your customers or get someone who knows what theyre doing when answering calls smh

I had an issue with my insurance and the office not telling me that they were out of network which I found out about several months later. However, when I expressed my disappointment about this, the owner personally reached out to me and walked me through my concerns. She took valuable time to ensure I was satisfied.

Experiencia negativa: After they said they accepted my insurance took me in as a patient. It was only afterwards that they told me they didn't accept and then charged me the full bill. When I debated it they sent the bill to collection company. After further research this dentistry has been pulling this act left and right just to get paid. Most unprofessional business I have ever dealt with. They will lie right to your face to take your money and if you don't give it to them they'll throw you to the Lions. Stay far away or you will lose more than your teeth with this company.

The same high standards are being taken when they are cleaning my teeth and I’m so grateful they have done all they have so that I feel comfortable coming into get my teeth cleaned. Everyone on staff is super friendly and welcoming. From check in to check out, I felt comfortable and well cared for. The dental assistant and dental hygienist were both very communicative throughout each step of my x-rays and cleaning, and they were fun to chat with as well. Dr. Engert is warm and kind, and really took the time to listen to my concerns and clearly explain my treatment options. I'm an anxious person so going to the dentist can be a bit stressful for me, but everyone made sure I was comfortable and even gave tips on easing my anxiety for future visits. I already scheduled my next appointment, and while I'm never going to LOVE going to the dentist, I definitely feel at ease knowing I'm in such good hands.

After being told I had 6 cavities by another dentist-she confirmed that I only had ONE! Her staff is very nice, professional and accommodating. Luz (the hygienist) also cleaned my teeth/gums so thoroughly and took her time to answer all of my questions. They are a wonderful dental practice and have always used state of the art technology, but they have gone the extra mile using this technology to keep their patients and staff safe. My husband and I both have felt comfortable coming in for various reasons, from emergency visits to regular cleanings.They not only have safe pre-screening procedures, but also have special filters in each room, and wear the most PPE that I’ve seen anywhere. It’s so important to keep up with dental care, and Davis and Engert Dentistry has made this possible. Experiencia fantástica: I was a bit hesitant to go for my cleaning given the Covid situation. From the appointment scheduling, pre screening questions, arrival procedures and the actual cleaning itself, I couldn’t have felt more safe! Everyone in the office went above and beyond any PPE I’ve seen. Masks, shields, gowns, gloves, glasses, hair coverings....each room had HEPA and UV filters running. From the minute I walked in all my concerns and anxiety vanished. Please don’t hold off making an appointment because of fear. Trust me, you’re in the best hands! Experiencia fantástica: After relocating to the Chicagoland area, I have relied heavily on reviews to find all of my new medical team members. I can't speak highly enough about the Davis & Engert Dentistry office. I put off my dental work because of a tremendous fear of dental work. Each team member that helped me was considerate of my fear while encouraging, supporting, and comforting me throughout the entire new patient appointment. The attention to detail was superb. In all of my years I have not had a doctor who actually sat down and went through the medical form with me! True bedside manner at the best form. (Most of the time I fill out those forms and then have to answer all the same questions AGAIN as the nurse asks me and puts it into the computer.) I have scheduled my first procedure and will provide another review at that time. UPDATE: I was able to take a cancelled appointment for my crown fitting. I was just as pleased with the care Dr. Engert took with me. My left brain knows that my fear is irrational and ridiculous, but my right brain emotions win out this argument every time--this irrational fear did not affect Dr. Engert. She was kind and gentle the entire time. Thank you!
