Experiencia negativa: I’m writing this review for my mom. She’s a 78 years old Chinese patient and looking to get a dental implant at this office. She chose this dental office because it is located near Chinatown and also they have staff speaking Chinese. At her initial consultation, she just wanted to have one dental implant, because her insurance only covers one implant each year. Also she told them she has travel plans in the following months. My mom doesn’t speak much English, there is an interpreter (named Alex?)working at the office. They talked my mom into having two implants instead, by saying that her insurance would cover one implant this year and another one in the beginning of next year. Although my mom had hesitation, they removed her two teeth including one front tooth during her first visit. Even though my mom mentioned her concerns about the front tooth removal because it was not the one she had wanted to have implanted, and the front tooth actually was still quite stable for her age, they still removed the front tooth forcefully. They did show her a temporary crown to ease her discomfort by saying a temporary crown would be installed before she leaves for her trip. When my mom asked about the insurance coverage, they didn’t tell her there would be an extra payment for the temporary crown. Yesterday my mom went to this dental office, expecting to get a temporary crown for the front tooth which was removed. They said she needs to pay $300 to get it done. The guy who did the interpretation and showed my mom a temporary crown was there, but he denied that how he coerced her to get the front tooth removed and he insisted that my mom has to pay $300 to have a temporary crown installed. They were very rude and unprofessional. Because my mom had a flight to catch in the afternoon, she left without having a temporary crown installed. I’m writing this to let people aware if you’re old and don’t speak good English, be prepared for the misinformation you may get from the staff in this office. Also when my mom comes back from her trip, if she still decides to have treatment here, I’ll definitely go with her.

Listen, all the other place is such a scam taking your insurance and money, but this PLACE omg, MIND BLOWING AMAZING PLACE! Don't expect less because they give you more than what you want!!! Experiencia fantástica: Dr hwang did my front tooth implant and i had 4 implants from different doctor, and he is the only debtist who did implant and crwon all together and he took out tooth and implant at the same time so my waiting time was only 3 months, highlt recommend dr hwang for implant patients !!!

Experiencia negativa: TLDR: Doctor will do the bare minimum that is needed, but will not go beyond to think outside the box on how to make your situation the best it can be. Went in for a free consultation to ask for his opinion on my implant situation that I would need in the future. He called himself "the best in Houston" which I do believe he has the credentials for considering he graduated from University of Michigan which is nice (I graduated from Yale so I can understand). Minutes later, he told me he "could not make the most out of [my] situation and I recommend you go to Los Angeles" which I appreciate his honesty but you cannot call yourself the best in Houston and then realize that you are not suited for a case like mine lol. I left a bit disappointed and consulted more implant opinions in Houston and I was able to find other surgeons (who did say my case was difficult but not impossible) who were determined to leave me with a near perfect smile even if it meant going above and beyond. Summary: I am sure the doctor is talented in his own way, but definitely a bit arrogant (I know coming from a prestigious school it is easy to feel that way). The other reviews that say he is a bit rude and unprofessional are true; not the worst of business problems the doctor can have but if you can just fix that, you will have a lot more patients man. We are human beings looking to better our smile; no need to be arrogant or rude. He will not go above and beyond and if anyone is looking for other options, feel free to like this. I am more than happy to refer you to other places.

Experiencia fantástica: We love Dr. Ann at New Smiles! Our two young kids go to see her and she is super friendly, warm and great with them. She puts them at ease when they're feeling nervous. The staff has also been wonderful and patient with our kids and goes above and beyond to make them feel comfortable. I also had an emergency orthodontic issue and Dr. Pham worked me into their schedule immediately to get it taken care of. We've been very happy here and highly recommend them!

Experiencia fantástica: What an amazing dental experience! Starting from when I walked in the door, the front desk was very kind and all of the assistants were knowledgeable! I started my implant procedure by getting an infected tooth removed by Dr. Hwang and I didn't even feel it! The treatment coordinator, Thuy, spent enough time listening to my concerns and helping me to understand what I will be facing! This is the office to go to if you are looking to get implants.

Experiencia fantástica: We've been going to New smile for over a decade. Both my daughter and son are afraid of going to get their teeth cleaned. Dr. Anh and her staff has always made my children feel comfortable each time. She even gave me a discount on my daughters braces when her braces was a little over our budget. This really helped us and it was great that she was willing to work with us. I like the fact that I had asked for reminders to be texted or email communications instead and Stephen is awesome. Thanks guys for being so good to us!

Experiencia fantástica: So I came here at New Smiles for a wisdom teeth removal and it was a wonderful experience! I initially thought it was going to be painful and I was really scared, but actually it's just a little bit and not as bad, especially with the numbness. My wisdom teeth were difficult to remove but Dr. Hwang knew what he was doing and was able to remove it carefully and properly! I highly recommend Dr. Hwang, he’s the best!

My daughter needed braces and every visit I sit and watch how they explain every procedure and are happy to explain if you don’t fully understand. However, when I returned for treatment, I must say I have NEVER enjoyed a dentist appointment as much as I did at New Smiles. I had the same assistant throughout the procedure, and the doctor was professional, personable, and attentive. I have never laughed so much in the dentist chair. Thanks to all New Smiles staff! --- I just had a front tooth implanted by Dr. Hwang and could not be any happier with the result. The staff at New Smiles made sure I was satisfied with my new tooth before I left. Everyone there is very caring and super professional. The office is also very nice and clean. What a wonderful experience!
