Our goal is always to improve function and comfort, not make things more difficult, so we take your concerns very seriously. What you’re describing—food trapping and bite changes—can sometimes occur after adjustments or new restorations, but it should absolutely be addressed promptly and corrected.
We would truly appreciate the opportunity to evaluate everything you mentioned, including the areas around #13 and #14 and the bite on your lower molar. In many cases, these issues can be resolved with a careful adjustment or refinement once we reassess the bite and contacts.
We also understand that you’ve had other medical matters to focus on, and we hope you’re doing better. When you’re ready, please reach out to our office and we’ll make it a priority to have one of our senior doctors take a close look and get you comfortable again.

We understand your frustration, and it’s possible that we may have miscommunicated the reason for the intraoral scan. Our intention is not to pressure patients about Invisalign or any treatment they are not interested in. Rather, we perform routine bite health scans so we can monitor tooth alignment and bite relationships over time.
Misaligned teeth or irregular bite configurations can negatively affect teeth and may lead to issues such as abnormal wear, chipped or fractured teeth, jaw discomfort, and other problems that could eventually result in tooth pain or even tooth loss. These scans allow us to track changes early and help patients avoid larger dental problems in the future.
We also apologize if the scanning device felt uncomfortable. Patient comfort is very important to us, and we appreciate you letting us know about your experience so we can continue improving how we communicate and deliver care.
