Experiencia fantástica: I had the same dentist for 35 years and he retired. I am so thankful to have found MIA Dental. Dr. Sandor Valls is an excellent dentist who is passionate about his practices and his patients. The office is clean and the staff is excellent, a shout out to Annet, who runs the practice with grace and kindness. My experience with Dr. Valls has been superior, when you are his patient he really cares about you. Their hygienist does a great job of teeth cleaning and is booked with repeat clients. Dr. Valls practice ranges from teeth cleaning to complex implants. I go to the South Beach office. He does have other locations. My search for a great dentist ended when I found MIA Dental and Dr.Valls and his excellent staff. I highly recommend them!

My longtime (male) dentist is in NY, and there was no way my nerves could wait for a trip back. So I did what I always seem to do when life throws me a curveball — I trusted my luck. I Googled “United Health dentist,” called the very first office on the list… and lucky me, it was MIA Dental. From the first phone call, they were incredibly accommodating. They squeezed me in as the last patient of the day, which already told me everything about their professionalism and care. The entire office is run by women, and I absolutely love the energy, vibe, and overall professionalism. The dentist is this petite, bright, shining light — young, smart, and incredibly talented — and her assistant is just as amazing. Their chairside manner? Top tier. Calm, kind, reassuring, and confident. As a gay Black male, it can sometimes be hard for me to fully relax and trust new providers here in Florida. But these women made me feel genuinely comfortable, safe, and respected from the moment I walked in. That means everything. They fixed my filling beautifully and two weeks later gave me a crown that feels perfect. Today I’m actually headed in for my first cleaning with them — and I’m genuinely looking forward to it, which is something I never thought I’d say about a dental appointment. Experiencia negativa: MIA Dental – AKA South Beach Billing Went in for a routine cleaning, casually mentioned I grind my teeth at night… and somehow walked out being told I have a rare disease that’s literally eating my teeth . First red flag? Bald front desk guy with all the charm of a used-car salesman who’s had one too many energy drinks . They “recommended” a deep cleaning split over two visits with irrigation, billed thousands, and offered zero explanation of what I was even paying for. Questions? Ghosted. Transparency? Nonexistent. ❌ This isn’t dental care. This is a horror show disguised as a clinic. Avoid. Run. Hide. Pray. Repeat. ⚠️

The kind and comprehensive explanations about the procedures you’re to undergo usually given by Dr. Vals showing his deep expertise in theory and practice, fill you with the necessary confidence to face the sometimes long or a bit uncomfortable procedures. I wouldn’t change Dr. Vals for any other dentist, I admire his work and feel confident in his expert hands. The whole staff is professional and kind, and the place is comfortable and clean. In spite of the high technological level you feel there at home. They pay attention to all your necessities and requests. I’m grateful I found MIA dental more than 5 years ago.

Experiencia fantástica: NOTE: Appointment does not include a cleaning or any prescribed dental work - the default is exam & x-rays only. That said, the dentist is great. They saw me right on time, I had some concerns that the dentist took her time to speak with me about and put my mind at ease. She also explained her assessment and recommendations in depth and answered all my questions. Overall a really positive experience for someone with a lot of dental anxiety. Just make sure you clarify when booking the appointment if you want both the exam and the cleaning, as these are two separate appointments and be prepared to come back another time if you need any work done. Frustrating they didn’t make this clear when booking but worth it for the dentist I saw.

Experiencia fantástica: When I first came in 2023 to the south beach location I was nervous. As someone who struggled with depression and had a lot of trouble maintaining basic routines I knew I was going to have a hard time at the dentist . While my teeth weren’t bad I knew I needed provably a deep clean and a follow up apppontment. The staff are so kind and gracious, I almost wanted to walk out because I felt ashamed I let it got 3 years without seeing someone but they all made me feel like “it’s okay” . The staff is majority women which as a woman I appreciate dearly just this extra attention and care put in. I got my deep clean and they walked me through a follow-up appointment for the next two weeks and gave me a mouthwash to help with some things I had going on. They talked me through insurance and payment and all the things that scared me and filled my cavities in a quick turnaround. I never felt uncomfortable . Flash forward , 2025 it had been again a bit of time and seeing them it felt like they were just the same , so kind and caring , gave me good reccomendations and I set up a meeting with the ortho , very encouraging and made me feel at ease . If you are someone who maybe feels like you need a place to have a supportive team and some extra tlc this is the place. They give good reccomendations and advice , always a good attitude and they work very hard to care for everyone there .

Never had any issues with my visits. The only small downside is there’s no free or super convenient parking since it’s in the South Beach Lincoln Rd mall, but other than that, I like this place and would definitely recommend it!

Experiencia fantástica: On a friend's recommendation, I started going to MIA (formerly called South Beach Dentistry) a couple of years ago. Now, my whole family goes. These guys are great! They are so nice to us that it takes the anxiety out of going to the dentist. From cleanings to crowns, I have found them to be technically excellent, and I have experienced minimal discomfort. They work as a team, and everyone I've seen so far has kept to the same high standard. Consistency is hard to deliver, but they manage to do it. Compared with other dentists I've used over the years, I find MIA's prices quite reasonable. Given the quality of the work, this represents solid value. So, I highly recommend MIA Dental for the pleasant environment, quality work, and solid value.

Experiencia negativa: The hygienist who handled my cleaning did an excellent job. She consistently provided a great experience, and I have no complaints about her work. However, my one-star review is due to the dentist's policy of refusing to continue my cleanings unless I agreed to undergo unnecessary x-rays. If I had a dental issue that required further diagnosis or treatment, I would gladly consent to x-rays to ensure the dentist had all the necessary information. That said, there is absolutely no justification for requiring x-rays simply to perform routine cleanings. While dental x-rays are "generally considered safe," they are not entirely without risk. Each exposure to radiation, no matter how small, contributes to cumulative damage to the body. This is a well-documented fact. It’s frustrating to see a healthcare provider prioritize unnecessary procedures over the best interests of their patients. Just perform the cleaning without forcing patients to accept unwarranted risks. This policy reflects poor service and a lack of consideration for patient autonomy.

Experiencia fantástica: I have been grinding my teeth all my life and had another dentist do one crown and they cracked the tooth next to it so I changed to SB Dentistry. They fixed the other dentists mistake and gave me crowns for my molars and a Perminent retainer. My teeth look and feel great and natural. I get many compliments and everyone in the office is nice, relatable and helpful!

So much gratitude, they get 5*****, I walked in and they even knew who I was without checking in. The cleaning is split over 2 appointments, 1 week apart, since I had not been at a dentist office for 10+ . The cleaning was carefully done and very thorough, pain minimal. Office was spotless clean. Everyone there so friendly which makes a huge difference in this setting. So much gratitude.

Experiencia fantástica: This is the place where you want to get your total dental work done. Dr. Milena not only is a dentist but have been thought by one of Miami’s dentist guru Dr. Bacheikov. Those who are local Miami Beach residents will know of him. Got my cleaning done with Alejandra. She literally went into every crevice of my mouth and did an excellent cleaning. No frills, no push around at this office.

Experiencia negativa: Liars, unfortunately. Told me I needed 4 filings, vaguely gesturing to the x rays for a second, noting shaded spots that I could not actually see. Tried to charge $165 per tooth just for the desensitizing agent. Went and got a second opinion, only needed 2 fillings, with desensitizing agent at $14 per tooth.

The diagnostic they did on the first day was so perfectly clear and an eye opener of precision and simplicity, (not like my previous Dentist who was wrong three times doing fillings for nothing...) Annet took care of all my insurance issues and costs, caring for my wallet without me having to ask for favors, Daniella, Maury, Liliana were all very pleasant, caring and professional. The place is beautiful, clean modern and overlooking all South beach. Great view. The next day, all good, no pain A treat. In short, the place is great the staff is great and they make a fantastic job. Highly recommend.
