Experiencia negativa: I have been a loyal patient of LM Family Dentistry for several years and have consistently had positive experiences with the practice. The staff has always been friendly, and the care my family and I received was one of the reasons I frequently recommended this office to friends and family moving to the Forney area. Unfortunately, my recent experience has left me extremely disappointed. My husband is currently undergoing Invisalign treatment through LM Family Dentistry. At the beginning of the year, our dental insurance changed to Delta Dental, and I promptly provided the office with our updated insurance information. At no point were we informed that our new insurance was out of network or that there were any issues with coverage. My husband continued attending his scheduled appointments and progressing through treatment as normal. Now, halfway through the year, we were unexpectedly informed that there is an outstanding balance of over $1,000. When we questioned how this could happen without any prior notification, we were told it is the office's policy not to inform patients when insurance denies coverage while they attempt to resolve the issue directly with the insurance company. While I understand that insurance claims can be complicated, I strongly believe patients should be made aware when there is a potential coverage issue—especially when treatment is ongoing and significant out-of-pocket expenses may be accumulating. Had we been informed earlier that our insurance was not being accepted or that claims were being denied, we could have made informed decisions regarding treatment and financial responsibility. To make matters worse, I received a call regarding my upcoming cleaning appointment and was told it needed to be canceled because my insurance was "terminated." This was inaccurate. Our insurance was not terminated—it changed, and the office had been provided with the updated information months earlier. Again, there was no acknowledgment that we had never been informed of any network or coverage concerns. What is most disappointing is the lack of accountability and communication throughout this process. As long-time patients who trusted this practice and actively referred others, we expected greater transparency. Discovering a substantial unexpected bill months after the fact, while feeling that critical information was withheld, has significantly damaged that trust. I sincerely hope LM Family Dentistry reviews its communication policies so that future patients are informed promptly of insurance issues before unexpected balances accumulate. Unfortunately, after this experience, I can no longer confidently recommend this practice to others.

I have a lot of anxiety about the dentist and they did everything possible to keep me comfortable. The dental assistant, Tamia was so gentle when taking my x rays and even gave me blanket to help calm me down when my anxiety got the best of me. I have never been to a dentist’s office who could calm me down from shaking in the chair and Tamia and dr. Danahy truly took their time with my care. I now have a new dentist for life!

You can tell they actually care about their patients, not just the appointment.

Experiencia fantástica: I can’t think of her name but the Hispanic dental hygienist is the sweetest and most patient person, she is a huge difference maker from a bad experience and a 10 Star experience, I’d give her a 20 star if possible. The office is very clean and they are prompt, there is very little waiting time on appointments, the sense of urgency and transparency will 100% be found here and I couldn’t recommend this place any higher!

I have seen every hygienist and they are all kind and do a wonderful job. The is the best office in Forney. The best dental office I have ever been to! Dr Merchant and Dr Danahy are amazing! The office is beautiful and when you walk in all you see is smiling faces. I have never been to a dental office that made me feel so comfortable. They hygienist are so friendly and do a great job cleaning my family’s teeth. The assistants are so caring. Experiencia negativa: I’d been coming here for years but since they changed ownership, I was charged $50 for a no show appointment then received weekly txts abt the debt, multiple letters and now this. I called them to stop sending me letters and txts or they’d lose a customer over it but they didn’t care. I’d rather not do business with a money hungry establishment that cares more about collections then customer relations.

When I called to get an appt they were booked out until the beginning of July. But I received a call back a few days later for a cancelation spot. The office staff was nice. I was able to fill out paperwork online ahead of time, so I had nothing to do at check in. My hygienist was Elizabeth. She was very sweet, thorough, and explained everything she was doing. The dentist I saw was also very pleasant. They did not try and up sale me unnecessary treatments and things I did not need. I was overall very satisfied with my visit. I will definitely be back.

In fact all the hygienists we’ve used and the dental assistants are caring, supportive, and very professional at their jobs. This entire office seems to work together very well and their focus is on patient care. Our insurance is not in-network, but receiving such quality dental care is worth the extra cost. We highly recommend!

In addition, there was a thunderstorm outside that scared my children and I couldn’t leave them home alone as planned. I showed up to my appointment with 4 scared kids, all soaking wet. The staff was all so kind - printing coloring pages to keep my children occupied while I visited with the dentist. The dentist was patient and abundantly kind as she explained how they could address my issue. She never tried to push additional treatments and didn’t upsell me on any service. I received a text the next day to check on me and see if I had any complications. I was extremely impressed by my entire experience! Excellent service and wonderful staff!

The program they offer for regular cleanings and other work done is better than my insurance could offer.
