Experiencia negativa: I absolutely loved my dentist here, they are very wonderful, because it is incredibly clear that there is at least one person that works there that doesn't jive with the rest of the wonderful staff and is ruining the atmosphere. I don't know who it is, but it would be best to get that resolved for the patients. Everything was handled very professionally and politely when they were talking to me directly, but when they were talking to each other, it was quite clear there was a problem and that nobody liked them. Edit: a year later I have to say how disappointed I am with this place so I have to change the stars. They were very friendly and professional, but as we had to switch to a new dentist we discovered that they told my husband he needed a root canal that was confirmed to be completely unnecessary and they billed me over $400 for cavities that I didn't have and my explanation of benefits showed I only should have been out of pocket about $100. They are just out to take your money unfortunately, not real dentistry.

Experiencia negativa: ***Possible Fraud Alert*** Do NOT go to the Goodlettsville location, and I would be very careful with any Coastal Dental office. From the beginning, my family’s and my appointments were repeatedly canceled at the Goodlettsville location. I was informed that the cost for 2 root canals and 2 crowns would be $2,826.00. They recommended that I apply for financing through Sunbit, and I was immediately approved. However, after everything was paid, I reviewed the paperwork they provided and discovered the alleged amount for the treatment was only $1,040.00. I then found out that they do not even perform root canals there, despite charging me for them. My insurance covers root canals at 100%, so I am still trying to understand what exactly I was charged for. Between the office being closed when appointments were scheduled and there being no doctor available, I requested a full refund for services not rendered on April 8, 2026. I am still waiting. Kendall Rutherford has not been forthcoming regarding the status of my refund. At first, I was told the refund could be processed within one week. Then, on May 7, 2026, I was told it could take 6–8 weeks. Interestingly, May 7 was also the date he claimed the refund request had just been submitted. However, when I called another office, I was informed that no refund request had been submitted at all. As of today, Kendall Rutherford has not returned my calls or provided any meaningful information regarding my refund. If anyone else is experiencing similar issues, please report them to the following agencies: • Tennessee Attorney General’s Office – Consumer Affairs Division • Better Business Bureau • Tennessee Board of Dentistry • Federal Trade Commission • Tennessee Department of Commerce & Insurance • Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (for financing/loan concerns) • Tennessee Division of Consumer Affairs Keep copies of all paperwork, receipts, appointment confirmations, cancellation notices, and text messages/emails. Also, feel free to record conversations and let them know you are recording.

Experiencia negativa: The people I interacted with at the Madison, TN, location have been wonderful. But the experience with the company has not been great. The company seems very disorganized, and from what I can tell there is great turnover with the dentists. I needed a crown, and when the first one came in, the first dentist I saw (who had been there for only a few months and has since moved to a different practices) messed up the crown, so it had to be redone. Then I never received a call when the new one was ready. I called and left an unreturned message. Called a few more times before finally talking with someone. They had it but failed to call me, so I finally was fitted with my crown after 6+ weeks. Again, the people in the office were very kind and helpful, but they seem to be under a terrible amount of pressure, and it doesn't appear that corporate treats their people well or sets them up for success. It's unlikely that I'll ever go back to them.

Experiencia negativa: A year ago, I gave this place a 5 star review. I had been happy for 7 years with my service. Over the past year it has really gone down hill in my experience. My last 2 scheduled cleanings were rescheduled. The most recent one I wasn't even contacted about. I only found out it was cancelled because I called on my way up there to ask about the insurance. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and checked my voicemails and calls over the past 48 hours but there was nothing. I would have driven 40 minutes to a cancelled appointment and they didn't even try to contact me. I'll be finding another dentist. I gave it a 2 star review because they used to be good but I'm definitely moving on after not being able to get follow through on my appointments.

Experiencia negativa: This place is absolutely horrible. Not only did they rip my mouth and lips to shreds pulling a tooth out, but they had to redo my crown base before it could be permanent placed. Now, only 3 months later, thst crown fell out. Ive had crowns on for YEARS without issue and somehow this one failed. Ive already been in the chair for over 12 hours for one tooth and I now have to go back yet again. Absolutely ridiculous.

Experiencia positiva: When I walked in, I was not greeted at all. No one was in the front, so I waited a few minutes. As I stood there, I could see an employee on his computer, but he never said anything to me. A few moments later, the employee and I saw a white male patient walk in. He greeted him and asked how he could help him. I told the employee I had been standing there for 5 minutes and received no greeting or help. He simply replied, “it hasn’t been 5 minutes.” That let me know he intentionally did not greet me, but did not hesitate to greet the white male patient. For additional context, I am a Black woman. I do think my race and/or gender had impact in me not receiving a greeting or acknowledgment. All patients should be treated equally. It’s 2026, not the 40s anymore. Terrible treatment. Incident occurred at approx. 2:52 pm on 2/16 at Castle Dental in Goodlettsville, TN Despite my initial interactions in the waiting room, my actual cleaning went well. That’s my reasoning for the few stars I did give.

She was so knowledgeable and paid great attention to detail. She put me to ease through the whole process and made great personalized recommendations for maintaining my teeth until my next cleaning. My teeth look and feel amazing. She is just delightful. I am so glad I transfered to this dental office!

Experiencia negativa: Went in for a cleaning. Took 20 mins waiting to be seen. Then it took 45 mins for the tech to do my x-rays. Then the "dentist" came in, poked at my teeth, and told me I had multiple cavities as well as an irreversible degenerative bone disease and sent me back to the front to schedule a deep clean (which was over $700 after insurance). The whole time I was there I had an uneasy feeling about the place - lacking credibility and professionalism. I went to a different dentist who confirmed that I didn't have any cavities or a bone disease. This place is a SCAM!!!!!!! RUN AWAY!!!

Experiencia fantástica: Dental Hygienist Dee was spectacular. She was absolutely thorough. She assessed my dental xrays that were completed two visits ago and immediately knew that I needed a deep cleaning procedure. On two previous visits by another hygienist there, I told that my teeth didn't need deep cleaning, even though I asked and told her I had previously had deep cleaning procedures. . Dee was so professional and knowledgeable. She walked me through the whole process from the beginning of showing me my x-rays to the end of the process including education of how to take care of my situation with my teeth.I explained to her and the front desk manager that when I walked in this third time, I was planning on looking for different dental care. I told them "As long as Dee continued to be there, I would continue my dental care with her and Dental castle." Thank you so much Dee for caring about my dental hygiene and my overall health care. You are truly a blessing.

The dentist & staff were incredible and helped my girls so much. They gave Faiths stuffed animal a bibb and shot first. They played her favorite song on repeat for her. Gave her a blanket. They were patient and comforted both my girls. My family and I are so thankful for them.. Best dentist office ever!!!!! I highly recommend them.

Experiencia positiva: My experience at Castle Dental(Goodlettsville location). I was there for a recent visit. I had questions about my treatment plan because it was sticker price shock so of course anyone would have questions about that. The front desk(absolutely amazing) proceeded to get a person for me to talk to. That person was the office manager (Kendall) his delivery approach to my questions were very unprofessional and un called for. Then he proceeded to say I’ll get you the dental hygienist for you so she can explain it to you. The dental hygienist when I tell she made or basically turned my experience around from a negative to a positive. I really do appreciate what she did. The front office staff also told me that they were sorry for how Kendall handled things. It was definitely apparent he speaks that way often.

After getting to the back they left me back there for another 30 mins and still didn't get my teeth clean. I just left out and didn't get anything done.

Experiencia negativa: I had an extremely frustrating experience at the Goodlettsville office and feel the need to share my concerns. On November 11, 2024, I called to confirm my appointment and verify my dental insurance benefits. The front desk employee, Hannah, was not only unhelpful but also rude and dismissive. She couldn’t verify my coverage and actually went so far as to say my insurance provider "lied" to me about my active coverage, because, according to her, "insurance companies lie all the time." When I asked for further assistance, she became frustrated and dismissive, which made the whole interaction uncomfortable and unproductive. I decided to call the Franklin location, where Zara quickly verified my benefits and updated my information. Zara even attempted to contact the Goodlettsville office on my behalf to relay the updated details. She suggested I call back to inform Hannah, so I did. When I called again, Hannah responded with hostility, raised her voice, and spoke over me. Once I was able to get a word in and asked her to check my chart to confirm whether or not the insurance was confirmed, she responded in a juvenile tone by saying, “Oh God!....It’s there now! Are you coming in or not?” I couldn't tell if she was being facetious or sincere due to her condescending tone. So I headed to the location for my apppointment. When I arrived in person, I asked why it took over an hour to get the verification handled when another employee was able to assist me in under 3 minutes. Hannah's response was dismissive, saying, "I don’t have to tell you anything, it’s your insurance," and "It's confirmed now, so what's the problem?" the situation quickly escalated. She became flustered when I pointed out that I, along with another employee, had to do her job for her. As a patient, I expect to be treated with respect and professionalism, but unfortunately, Hannah’s behavior was the complete opposite. I hope the office takes this feedback seriously and ensures that all patients receive the courteous service they deserve.

It’s always some extra fees for this or that so we started going to a different location and never charged an additional fee. Unfortunately circumstances brought us back to the other location. And wouldn’t you know it, there are extra fees again. Once my children finish their treatments, we will no longer be giving this business our time nor our money. I do not recommend them to anyone

Experiencia negativa: After checking my insurance, the dentist told me the procedure was covered by my insurance. However, that wasn’t true. If I had gone through with the procedure, I would have been responsible for the entire bill. The X-ray tech had trouble getting a usable image, so I had many X-rays taken. I didn’t like all that exposure.

Cameron the doctors dental assistant is the awesome, she made the whole pain ordeal very smooth and calming. When i went back for my follow up the next day everyone called me by name and they were very friendly. As much pain as i was in this was hands down the best dental visit ever. As long as they have this staff they will be my dentist going forward. The staff makes the business.
