Experiencia negativa: I had an appointment yesterday for a tooth extraction.Upon arrival I was charged an amount (having forgot the previous quote) I then asked what was this charge? The receptionist said “for your previous cleaning”. I explained i couldn't pay THAT bill and my copay for the extraction. She said if I couldnt pay it today i would have to reschedule so I walked out. A few mins later i walked back in and asked is it too late to pay (10 min after the appointment time) and she said yes. So I left at this point in pain with my tooth throbbing. After getting information from my insurance, it turned out that they covered the cleaning. So i called back and spoke to the supervisor she apologized and said the receptionist confused the cleaning bill with my extraction bill. I begged the supervisor and pleaded to see if there was a same day appointment she can get me into with my dentist because my molar is THROBBING. She said we can see you in two days. I proceeded to advocate to see a doctor because I was in pain, can not take more time off of work, and this was their error. She then expressed that “she tried to book me a sooner appointment, and i chose this day so this is on me”… as i was trying to express that has everything and exclusively has to do with THE FACT THEY MADE AN ERORR, and I was in serious pain. She told me “excuse me im talking” Once i said “excuse me, who is your district higher up” She was able to schedule an appointment in the Wilbraham office for 3pm today. An hour and half before the appointment they let me know they can't do the extraction because i have impacted wisdom teeth. I swallowed my pride called bay state dental Harrison back to see if I can schedule the extraction for the initial 2 day appointment…. They said no i would have to go to an oral surgeon… but they were scheduled to do the service in the first place. I will be filling a complaint through the Better Business Bureau due to the neglect, and unprofessionalism of the SUPERVISOR in the office.

The appointment was thorough and paced well. Doctor Princewill took time to hear what I was telling him and come up with a treatment plan that works for me and my insurance. Thank you all!

Experiencia negativa: They scheduled me arrive at 11:00 but did not get to actual see the doctor an hour later. They should adjust the time slots to make their schedule actually work, otherwise it wasted a lot of customers’ time that they had to ask for break from their work and let things get messed up on site. I saw often customers complaining about their schedule already.

Then when I did get seen she did not apologize for the wait and then rushed the cleaning which was quit painful as I told the dentist when he came in very bad experience.

Why it’s an issue because if you miss an appointment or are late they’ll threaten to delete you as a patient , but they can put your health on hold . Irritating and a double standard .

I went again this past week with some teeth issues causing pain and they were honestly amazing again! I'm going back this week for more work and Honestly know it's going to be a good experience, for it has been every time ive gone to them since some years back. Experiencia negativa: I scheduled fillings to be done as per my cleaning. Had to wait a month and a half after my appointment to be ready for the costs that were given. I specifically requested the left side of my mouth to be done due to high sensitivity. When they went to put the numbing cream on prior to the Novocain shot, they were going to do the right. After pointing out this issue, they spoke with the front desk who said they had made a mistake in scheduling, and would update my chart to do the fillings on the left. After applying benzocaine cream to the left side, I was waiting for the shot when I was informed that there had been another mistake, this time regarding the financial agreement. They told me the cost would be over double the amount I had agreed to at the beginning of the appointment—just 20 minutes earlier. At this point, I was already in the chair, half of my mouth was numbed and waiting novocaine, and they refused to honor the original price. Their solution was to proceed with only one of the three fillings and reschedule the others if I could not meet the new, much higher price. I felt that this was unacceptable and decided to walk out. I am extremely disappointed with this experience and would not recommend this office.

Experiencia negativa: I rarely leave reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience at this dental office after two deep cleanings and cavity work left me frustrated and in pain. From the start, the staff barely introduced themselves, and the environment felt cold and impersonal. Every time I walked in, it smelt of cigarette smoke, which was immediately off-putting for a medical setting. There was also a noticeable lack of cleanliness—hair in the sink where I spit, hair all over the floor, and the glasses they made me wear looked gross, like they've never been cleaned. During my cavity procedure, a tool broke inside my mouth—and instead of addressing it or even acknowledging the incident, the dentist casually muttered to his assistant “oh, we’re good,” as if nothing happened. That alone was unsettling. When I went back for my cleaning, I mentioned my fillings hurt when I chew. They asked if it feels too big, like my bite doesn't match on both sides, I said no, just hurts when I chew and it didnt hurt before my fillings. He said, ill let the DR know and from there it was never addressed and I didnt even see the doctor. Both deep cleanings were rough. After the first one, I left with blood on my forehead, and the hygienist barely said a word besides, “the shower is free.” I needed six shots of novocaine the first time and eight shots the second—both excessive and left my mouth in agony for hours. I was also never informed I needed novocaine for the cleanings until I noticed the needle in my face! The second hygienist visit was a little better in attitude, but the damage was already done. What pushed this from a bad to a terrible experience was their complete disregard for properly re-fitting my expensive mouth guard. I made it clear that it didn't fit properly the first day and needed to be re-adjusted. The dentist took it to the back after I got novocaine, shaved it down a bit then came back to have me test it out. Instead of doing it when I could feel my mouth, they attempted it after numbing me, which made no sense—I couldn’t even feel if the guard was in the right position. I brought it up at the next visit and made sure again to mention it before novocaine but they proceeded to have me test it out afterwards! Ridiculous! Overall, this office felt rushed, careless, and dismissive. Between poor communication, painful procedures, lack of cleanliness, and a total disregard for basic patient comfort, I would never recommend this place to anyone. My mouth is worse off than when I walked in!

Experiencia fantástica: Hello Baystate Dental, I’m writing this post for my mom. Shes an eighty year woman who hasn’t been to the dentist in years. Ive finally convinced her to go. She had to have one filling and one extraction. Her appointment was one week out. She stressed everyday until the day of appointment. We’re now at the office and in the chair. The dentist assured her he would a gentle as humanly possible. I walked out the room and waited. She return to waiting room smiling with a cotton swab hanging out her mouth. I ask how was she. And she replied all good son. So a few minutes later she start telling me her experience. He was so gentle when he pulled the tooth that the filing was worse than the pull. We started laughing. She says she’d return to that dentist again. I told my mom i was proud of her for concurring her fears at eighty years old.

Experiencia positiva: Initially I was not happy that I was told I could not get a deep cleaning because insurance wouldn't approve it yet. Times are too hard out of pocket. I had to wait for the gum disease to get worse which has made it very difficult to get under control. However, the doctor, hygienist and even the receptionist have been working with me to save my teeth and I really do like the hygienist. She's says it like it is but she knows her stuff and I follow whatever she says and I am hoping the care plan works. The system is not set up for prevention as it should be and that's not their fault really. The receptionists are the sweetest and very professional.

Experiencia negativa: I’ve been to the Chicopee Baystate dental and they are phenomenal compared to the Springfield location. I think the Springfield location needs to work on the way they interact with their patients. She was rough when cleaning my teeth and didn’t even care to ask how I felt. The dental hygienist has horrible bedside manners and is quick to judge when she finds a little mistake with my teeth. On the contrary, front desk receptionist is always positive and has a smile on her face the minute I walk in. If it wasn’t for the African American dental hygienist with bad bedside manners, I’d give this place a 4. Avoid this location at all costs!!

I have minimal swelling and almost no pain. Will be going back most definitely to have more work done. Even the young women at the front desk was very nice and funny! Experiencia negativa: Idk how long I've been coming here but it's just gotten worse. I feel like today they were short staff. My appt was for 11 I finally got seen at 1130. I was taken in on time but not worked on until 1130. I was sitting for 20 min after trays were done for a hygienist. Now after she came in she worked on my teeth.. I did the lazer and then cleaning. Man where was the bedside manner? GONE!! Cleaned me and at the end she just left. Someone else came in and said the dr would see me to look at my teeth. Idk what was going on but today the office was hot! I was sitting in the room for 10 min before someone took me to a different room since the dr wasn't ready to see me. Fine I moved to a different room. Waited another 10 min. At this time I was at my cleaning for 1.5hrs. Which is ridiculous. I had to leave since I needed to get back to work. I haven't left them a review before but this time it was needed. Over worked hygienist and very under staff which sucks. I know its not therr fault but at the same time it's just getting worse. So that's my honest review. Sorry but not sorry.

Experiencia fantástica: Located on Harrison Street in Springfield Massachusetts. We have been going here for a number of years. The Dental Techs and Doctors are great. My family and I are very happy with the care we received over the years, and will continue here for years to come!!! They use the latest treatments and cleaning methods. You will be glad you came here. There is on street parking in the area, as well as a large parking lot across the street. There is a fee for street parking using a phone app and the parking does have a fee as well, but the Dental office does parking validation so it costs nothing to park the as long as you have the office validate you ticket prior to leaving their office.

Experiencia fantástica: I needed an emergency wisdom tooth extraction and they were able to get me in for a consultation the same day. I would have had the tooth extracted that day but did not have the money on hand so I was given the option to schedule it the following morning and I have no complaints about my experience. Helpful and friendly office staff, assistants and the doctor was great too. I also paid considerably less than I had anticipated. I would definitely recommend this practice.
