Experiencia negativa: Unethical and Self -Serving Practice I'm so disappointed. The dentist refused to write a referral for my child to a specialist who would best help my family financially just to keep the treatment in house. It's upsetting to feel like money mattered more than my childs care. I've taken my child here for years along with recommending them to family and friends but now I really question the care they are recommending and whether it's truly in my childs best interest.

I’m happy to drive across town so my kiddo can see a dentist who takes their time with him, answers all of his questions when he’s nervous, and feels comfortable in the chair. So happy we found Great Grins!

There’s a new sheriff in town when this small fry took on his older brother in a post cleaning title match for all the gold teeth in the land. Being serious though this dental office is amazing. We never have to convince the kids to want to go to the dentist because they always have a great time going. This place really is the best.

My child was born with a cleft palate, Pierre Robin sequence, and other medical conditions and Dr. Lele took the time to research ways to better help my daughter and understand her needs. They're so patient and take the time to explain everything which really puts us parents and her at ease. Finding a trustworthy dentist who can handle unique needs is such a relief, and I highly recommend them for all children!

Experiencia negativa: I usually don’t leave negative reviews, but I feel compelled to share our experience so that other families can make an informed decision. We initially came here for routine cleanings, which were fine. However, we were told my daughter needed a palate expander and were referred to the in-house orthodontist—who is also the dentist’s wife. We were led to believe this appointment was to begin the process for the expander. It cost $500. After the appointment, the orthodontist expressed uncertainty about whether my daughter would tolerate the device and even questioned if it would address the concern we were originally referred for. When I asked for alternative recommendations, she dismissed the issue as “part of her syndrome,” which I found both unhelpful and dismissive—especially since my daughter has Down syndrome and deserves thoughtful, individualized care. I later discovered that several other local practices offer the same type of initial consultation completely free of charge. Additionally, this office quoted us $4,500 for the expander, while other providers in the area offer the same treatment for significantly less. I tried addressing my concerns directly with the office, hoping for some resolution or accountability, but was met with a flat refusal to refund or even acknowledge the issue. I’m sharing this review not out of anger, but in the hope that it helps other families avoid the confusion, high costs, and lack of clarity that we experienced.

We’ve been coming to Great Grins since the little one was old enough to brush, and we are always treated with sincere attention, appreciation, friendliness, and expert professionalism. From tooth extraction past the braces experience- they’ve been there for it all, responding to emergencies, providing pain-free cleanings, and treating us like family. Todays appointment I assume was a new lady assissting and doing my cleaning she was very rough pulling the sides of my mouth and when putting the vaccuum thing in my mouth to take water out instead of saying close or something like others have in the past she used her hands and would close my lips which was uncomfortable and felt unnecessary. My younger brother also had an appointment today and got his teeth cleaned by her and agreed she was rough.

They always nicely provide professional suggestions. All the staff are very nice, too. Today one of my boys had wisdom teeth and gum issues. They have a cute little room for the babies and toddlers that is separate with a little toddler bed and stuffed animals and a tv to help them relax. Experiencia fantástica: There are simply not words to describe how absolutely phenomenal this dental practice is! As an adult who has pretty bad dental anxiety I searched and searched for a good dentist for my kids and so glad I found Dr Wolfman and her staff! My two young kids have been with them for over 5 years and we have NEVER had a bad experience. My oldest has had anxiety and sensory issues since she was two and when our insurance went out of network with the practice she made it clear that Dr Wolfman would be her only dentist. Everyone is kind and caring, they put my kids at ease and do great work from cleanings to early orthodontic care. We have gone through normal dental cleanings, extractions, cracked teeth, expanders, night guards and the changing of insurances and moving in and out of network. Each time the Dr and staff explain everything to me and my kids, they are patient and caring no matter how my kids are feeling/acting that day! I’ve never felt pressured with any treatment plans and they’ve always supported our family in every way they can. Over 5 years we’ve also had a couple of missed appts because life happens and they’ve always been so understanding and kind! My only complaint is that as an adult they won’t treat me! If you need a pediatric dentist, look no further because you really won’t find a better practice!

They do a great job of not only informing the parent, but walking children through the “why” and importance of how they should care for their dental health. I switched to Great Grins after being disappointed by their previous dentist. Unfortunately, a year ago they no longer took my insurance which resulted in having to find another provider. Once again the care they recieved was unsatisfactory. Luckily, I was able to come back to Great Grins and my children's oral health is top priority once more. I have a large family and getting them all in at once hasn't been a issue. Super thankful to Dr. Lele and everyone at Great Grins.

Experiencia negativa: If you care about your children and your own finances more than filling another doctor's wallet - avoid this pediatric dental practice! With the pushy, salesy, fear tactics in full force, I'm sure they must have taken their business lessons from a used car dealership. And this isn't the first time I've felt this, nor the first time I've expressed this to the office. They do NOT care about people, Community, or kids care - certainly not even close to the amount that they care about making as much money as possible. We had 3 kids here for almost 10 years (maybe longer) and can't believe we hung on that long. Having dental insurance when I was working a corporate job meant our out of pocket costs were minimal, so we didn't scrutinize too much. But now I'm transitioning to being self employed and all costs are out of pocket. I was clear that the cost of xrays was not in my budget - and we had them done not long ago. My kid isn't having any issues and never has, despite regular cleanings and xrays over the years. Still, the dentist kept pushing on why they were needed regardless. I ultimately said I'm choosing between groceries and xrays and his response was that if we didn't keep up on xrays every year (2 years at the absolute most), that we needed to find a new dentist. Challenge accepted. No need to schedule our next cleaning and exam. Cancelled the upcoming appointments for my other 2 kids. There are plenty of alternatives who have some humanity and kindness. Screw this place.

These two dentists and their hygienists are very knowledgeable, honest, and friendly! They will help out in anyway you need them. We never had a negative experience with them, we only left the practice because I graduated from high school and went to college.

Our oldest daughter started her first exam terrified of lying back and having someone touch the inside of her mouth. She was taken care of with patience and kindness and within a couple of visits she was completely at ease. Ever since then, both of our kids look forward to their exams. All of the staff we've worked with are friendly and wonderful with both kids and parents. They take all the time needed to ask if you have questions or concerns, explain what they're seeing, and make future recommendations for dental health. A special shout-out to Dr. Lele - he's one of the best healthcare professionals I've ever worked with. Our kids and us are lucky to have such a great pediatric dentist in Tucson!

Both dentists are extremely knowledgeable and obviously committed to providing the best care possible to their patients. They always take time to explain any concerns and answer all my questions.
