He's taken great care of me with some no charge work. That says it all. Fantastic staff that cares. I'm very lucky , still have more work to be done. Don't think you'll find anyone better and more professional than Dr.Shapner and his staff.

Experiencia negativa: Unprofessional, Unempathetic, Unethical business practices- My husband and I both went to have a cleaning, and needed to have a procedure following. Firstly, both times we were given a quote of the cost of what each of our procedures would be, and both times the bill after the fact ended up being way over the quote they had given us, despite having our insurance on file. My husbands procedure was before mine, chronologically, so we ended up brushing it off and paying the entire bill, despite us feeling wronged for the excess amount. My procedure was about a year later. Before the procedure, however, I went in to get a general cleaning. The assistant I had who took my X-rays seemed like she was anxious the entire time, she was nice enough, but seemed incompetent performing the x-rays. I have been to dentists multiple times throughout my life, and never have I EVER had to undergo the type of x-rays they conduct at this place, let alone having them be PAINFUL. My husband had the same experience with his x-rays as well. I don't know if what they're using is archaic or if they're trying to skimp on their equipment due to budget, or what, but I've never gone to a place that did their x-rays that number of times or in that manner. For my procedure, I had a cavity that had been previously filled, but the filling fell out years ago, so I thought why not get it filled. Well, I had it filled with them, the bill came and again, just like my husbands, was way over the quote they had given me previously. This filling also ended up falling out within just a few weeks. When I was called by the office and asked to pay the bill, I told the gentleman that the filling fell out and that I wouldn't be paying because of that, and because this is the second time that we were issued a bill far above the quote we were given. He was very rude and basically told me he didn't believe me because I didn't go back in, but after the x-ray experience, the bills exceeding the quotes we were given and the way we were treated on the phone by this guy after the fact, there was no way I was going back to people who were rude, incompetant, and had no empathy whatsoever for their customers experiences. I spoke with the manager, who was a lady, on the phone today, I was calm and explained what had happened, she basically told me I was lying and said that when I go to have it fixed by another dentist they should send her the bill and she would then issue a correction. She also expressed no empathy, did not apologize for her employees not knowing what they were doing, or belittling me over the phone, and basically called me a liar and said she "sees no reason to waive our bill". I told her that it's her business, and she can run it how she wants, but I was only calling to explain my experience, notify them that I wouldn't be paying, and why, and that her response to me was even more validation and reinforcement for my decision to not pay them. This practice clearly doesn't hire competent or ethical people, and they are running a very poor practice in my experience and opinion. I would not recommend them to anyone. Needless to say, we will not be going back, and will return to our former dentist at Clocktower Dental, who we never had problems with. The only reason we were going to switch and gave Today's Dental a chance was due to their location being right up the street from our home and it being a more convenient location. But clearly, just like fast food, convenience doesn't mean healthy or good for you.

Experiencia negativa: I was VERY unimpressed with my cleaning appointment this time! My regular hygienist is no longer there. I guess that should’ve been my first warning! When I got there she took X-rays, which she was rough. Then she got the brush and their toothpaste out and she quickly went over my teeth!?!? They usually do that last! Then she calls somebody else in and she picks on a FEW teeth and she’s DONE!?!?!? Cost me 289.00!!!! And I still can feel grunge at my gum line! Oh! And I forgot to mention while the gal was picking on those few teeth; All I could hear is laughter, screeching, and very loud talking! All of which I call “Very Unprofessional “ Now I get to wait 6 MONTHS to get my teeth cleaned the right way!!!!!! Not to mention I took time off work for THAT? Needless to say I won’t waste my time to go back there again!

Experiencia fantástica: I am just becoming accustomed to asking for accommodations for my anxiety and sensory issues, which have previously led to my avoiding the dentist or just enduring the pain of insufficient numbing and jarringly loud sounds. Dr. Murphy's team was the first ever to offer nitrous oxide for the anxiety, in 40 years of dental visits. The first to offer a numbing agent for cleanings without making me feel like a burden. I was in her chair for a cracked filling, ready to go, and she asked if I wanted to come back later in the day so I could get my anxiety meds on board because I was on the edge of a meltdown. The offer alone helped me stop spiraling. Today's Dental's hygienists and reception staff are outstanding, and they're fantastic with kids and big families. I won't go anywhere else.

Experiencia negativa: Updated review: After being a patient for 6 years, and being consistent going to get my cleaning every 6 months, doing Invisalign through them, etc., they dropped my insurance and didn't inform me until after a cleaning and giving me a $144 bill. When questioned, they said it was on me for not checking. Old review I drive 25 minutes just to visit this dentist! I’m notorious for always going to different dental hygienists here, but every single one has been amazing!! Kind and gentle. I visit Dr. Schoeppner and he is awesome!! I grew up with the same dentist so when he retired, I was really nervous finding a new one and once I found Dr. Schoeppner, I cannot imagine going to anyone else.

She did an excellent job making and putting into place a crown that I needed. Dr. Meyer also found out and ordered the exact right tool that was needed to tighten an implant that I received 7 years ago that was a bit loose. She is very knowledgeable and I would highly recommend her.

My 14 yr old keeps telling me how much happier she I already with her new dentist. They realized she needed more Novocain than the average person. Been just taking ibuprofen and tylenol and have yet to have any pain or discomfort at all. They make going to the dentist way less scary

Experiencia fantástica: Was my first visit, everybody was super nice. From the receptionist to the dentist Dr Meyer and her nurse. They gave good explanations, broke down the prices, and made sure to try and help me feel comfortable. Will go back for sure. :)

Experiencia negativa: I was a new patient senior citizen who takes excellent care of my dental health. Before making appointment, I stopped by the office to ensure that my dental insurance was accepted and it is. I made it clear from the time of making my appointment that I was only interested in a general/annual exam and a normal cleaning. There was no objection to that until the doctor insisted that I agree to $512 of additional procedures immediately (deep gum cleaning of back molars). I told him no and that I would not be strong armed into procedures I do not need. I explained that I am in the process of changing back to my former dental insurance which is much better paying and that I wanted to wait for any additional procedures until after Jan 1st, when my former insurance would go back into effect. The dentist refused to allow even a general/normal cleaning unless I would agree to the additional expenses. This is a very new dental office location that seems to be staffed with very young, newly trained dentists who, it appears to me, are trying their best generate additional revenue any way they can. Needless to say, I have contacted my insurance provider with this information and Today's Dental has been removed as a preferred provider. My overall opinion: the practice is located in a rather difficult place (on one side of a divided highway) necessitating a U-turn on Harrison, which is a very busy street. The practice is clean and neat and the office personnel were courteous. It's sad that this young dentist is so determined to "pad" the bill to build his practice. Perhaps not illegal but certainly unethical.

Experiencia negativa: Totally WOULD NOT recommend this location!! Dr. Schoeppner told his rude office manager to send me a letter to fire me from their practice because he recommended $10,000 worth of work on 2 teeth and I did not give him a decision THAT DAY!. I told him I would consult with the oral surgeon because it was such an expensive procedure and would take several months to complete treatment. Sooooo, within 4 days I got a letter stating, “They would no longer see me at the Practice and I needed to find another provider”, and there was no further explanation! . I guess because I wanted a second opinion on a $10,000 procedure. I called the office and talked to the rude office manager, ROXANNA, and she told me, “Since I wasn’t following his care plan, he was not going to let me back into the practice and I could find another dentist. She stated, “I could NOT talk to the doctor and that he was NOT going to call me back!” I was a nurse for 48 years and worked in doctors offices almost the whole time. NEVER in my life have I had one of my doctors be so rude and unprofessional, that they would not even call a patient back to explain a situation like this!! If he is that unprofessional, and cannot even talk to his patience himself, then he is one SORRY DENTIST in my opinion. And also in everyone’s opinion that I have informed of this situation. And believe me, it’s going to be many more people that will hear about this practice and how I was treated. I have never had a doctor or dentist, make me feel less appreciated and dismissed as I was treated by Todays Dental. I have been a patient for over 9 years At Todays Dental and have always paid my bills on time, been on time for every appointment and been a loyal patient. I would totally, absolutely NOT recommend this practice to anyone, EVER!!!!
