Fantastic experience: Recently became a patient of Dr. Wipf from a Veteran's Administration referral to Care in the community. First, I appreciate that a local dentist is taking on veteran referrals, as I've come to understand dealing with the VA Claims on the provider side can be a PITA. Thank you. Exam was thorough and complete; maybe the most comprehensive I've had in my adult life. From that, Dr. Wipf proposed a treatment plan that seems reasonable. I've got no current pressing problems (per the exam) and have cleanings and treatment planned for what I hop will be long-term good dental health. Thanks again for being available to our local veterans with eligible dental coverage.

Fantastic experience: Dr Wipf’s office is very professional. Front office staff , Jennifer and Laura are awesome Happy to see Laura is back . Dental hygienists do a great job of cleaning. For a great dental experience I would recommend Dr. Wipf or Dr Maria Aiello for any dental work. They fit me in In less than 24 hours for a tooth that was painful, the tooth was cracked and will need extraction however, Dr. Maria ground the surface so there wasn’t pressure on it until I can get it taken care of. They are a great office.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Eric did a great job on a HUGE job with my father. My father was afraid of dentists and avoided doing anything with and for his teeth for too many years. Now he insists on seeing only Dr. Erik Wipf, so we really appreciate his skill, patience, and attention to detail. Also the front of house staff, led by Jennifer, are really helpful and supportive.

Fantastic experience: Dr Wipf is kind and knowledgeable. The x-ray nurses are attentive and friendly. And the hygienist who cleaned my teeth had the best " bedside manners " I've ever experienced. She explained the steps she performed as she was doing them, in a reassuring way.

They ended up having a cancellation 3 days from now & called me so I would not have to wait a couple of weeks to fix it! First time with Dr.Aiello & she was great!

Fantastic experience: Dr Wipf is thorough, honest and spends a lot of time with his patients addressing every issue and concern. His staff is also excellent- I think I had the most extensive tooth cleaning I’ve ever had yesterday. Jennifer at the front desk is also incredibly friendly and helpful. I was referred to Dr Wipf by a friend. I’m coming from a dental office that recently changed ownership and at every 6 month checkup I was told I had at least three new fillings that I urgently needed drilled. One tooth they cracked during one of these routine drillings so then I needed a crown and ultimately a root canal. I feel confident this funny business does not happen at Dr Wipf’s office. In a rapidly changing healthcare landscape, I feel I can trust this group.

Fantastic experience: Who'd ever call a visit to the dentist 'delightful'?! But that's exactly what it was like going to my first dental cleaning at the office of Doctors Aiello and Wipf. Shelby, my hygienist, was upbeat, dexterous and calming. Time passed in an instant! You know, Freud was obsessed with dentistry; he thought dental work and pain triggered the same deep and unconscious fear like that other part of the anatomy he was obsessed with! No psychoanalytic concerns at this office! The entire staff is congenial, helpful and downright charming! The rooms are bright and sparkling. All in a cozy, pastoral courtyard on State St. that one might imagine would be the location if Frodo Baggins had decided to become a dentist instead of going to Mordor! (Idea for new TV series!) Dr.'s Wipf and Aiello are another reason Santa Barbara is The Shire!

Over these years I have had done either in this office or through it: dental fillings, root canals, extractions, implants, crowns and bridges, gum work, scans to locate infections, and dental X-rays. This is a first class dental office and I have always been very happy with all of their their work and the recommendations to specialists that they have made for me. When I first started out with them and for many years I was a resident of Santa Barbara. I currently live in Ventura and have for over nineteen years now and continue to stay with this office. Fantastic experience: I came to Dr. WIPF 7 or 8 years ago. I was so afraid of the dentist from prior pain and wrong diagnosis. He and his staff now take care of all my dentals needs. He’s brilliant in the field. His Father was a dentist. I was prior told by another dentist I needed 7 fillings. Dr. WIPF said they were just shadows and I did not need but a few. He’s gentle, polite and his hygienists are extremely nice and gentle. Fair prices too.

Fantastic experience: I met Erik 26 years ago when I broke a tooth. He set me at ease and made sure my transition from my natural teeth to dentures was as smooth as possible. Fast forward to today and I am back with Erik to get the same dentures repaired or replaced. Fantastic experience: After having 15 years of the US Navy giving me white knuckle dental appointments I was referred by the VA to this office. They were so nice, I told them how nervous I was and they walked me through the process and eased my worries. It was kinda hot in the office the day of my appointment so they set up a fan, always being attentive to my comfort level. The work they did was done with attention to detail all while making it as pain free as could be. Highly recommend and I'll absolutely continue going here.

Fantastic experience: I just came across my review below from 8 years ago. Just want to say that I am still extremely happy with Dr. Wipf and his entire team. The office staff is always very friendly and helpful, as are the hygienists. And I love the modern equipment. I actually got to watch them make my crown with a 3-D printer! After my long-time dentist retired, I "shopped around" for a new dentist by getting referrals from friends and co-workers. It was "three times a charm" when I found Dr. Wipf. I've been to his office 3 times now, twice for cleanings and exams, and once for a filling that had fallen out. I am so happy with him and his whole staff; everyone is really friendly and helpful. He uses modern equipment and techniques, which I love. And he doesn't try to "oversell" procedures. He explained everything he was going to do when I had my tooth refilled. And they even sent a follow-up email to check in. I am super happy with Dr. Wipf and his team!

My father was a local Doctor and both our opinions are the medical staff can make or break an office. Dr. Wipf's office from the first phone call to follow up scheduling would win a Gold medal in the Olympics. This is THE BEST office ever. Fantastic experience: Dr Wipf is an exceptionally knowledgeable and motivating dentist with an in depth understanding of sleep and breathing challenges. I have had chronic insomnia for years and my family doctor recommended that I consult an airways dental specialist. I found several online and chose Dr. Erik Wipf, because his website contained such thorough details and because his assistant was able to help me understand what his treatment entailed. My husband, who’s a retired surgeon, went with me to my appointment, and we were both extremely impressed by the thoroughness of his initial exam and his knowledge of sleep challenges. I learned far more from Dr Wipf than from the two sleep MD’s who I previously consulted. I have been under Dr Wipf’s care for 3 to 4 months, and there’s a noticeable reduction in my shallow breathing episodes plus my Oura ring also registers a higher oxygen content at night, so his approach also creates measurable results.

I ran into urgent problem over the weekend and they were able to sneak me in on Monday and take care of my tooth that was giving me a lot of pain and trouble And few hours later I feel absolutely great without any extra pain meds or anything like that. Fantastic experience: My brother is a Vet and has multiple disabilities. After multiple visits to the lical dentist and oral surgeons for dentures, then implants and several attempts to correct, his lower dentures wouldn't stay in. The VA dentist researched all options and then referred us to Dr. Erik Wipf in Santa Barbara. The staff were kind and efficient. Dr. Was soft spoken, gentle and kind. The best part? He was able to get the dentures and implants to click together properly after making adjustments to implant posts and filing parts of dentures. First time my brother could actually fit them in place. It was sort of complicated and hoping it is the easiest solution. Dr. explained everything as he worked and was so kind.

My official opinion is this dental office falls into the top-most echelon of patient experience. Scheduling, reception, hygienists, and the dentists are all top tier. I've received care from both Dr. Wipf and Dr. Aiello, and you cannot go wrong between the two. They are both highly professional, knowledgable, skilled at delivering care, are good listeners, and have overall 10/10 bedside behavior. This is my go-to recommendation if you are looking for a new dentist.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Wipf is the best dentist I’ve ever had. He has successfully done some moderately complicated rework of work not done well by another dentist. He and his staff are friendly and helpful when it comes to supporting how I care for my teeth in between cleanings and checkups. As a result, I haven’t needed any significant dental work in several years now and my teeth and gums are in better shape than they have been in a long time.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Wipf and his staff are very professional. He is detailed and thorough, like a tooth artist. This is why I come from thousands of miles away to see him. He is the best dentist I can trust.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Wipf and his Assistant Kate provided exceptional care in evaluating me for a sleep apnea device. They were thorough in the explanation of available devices and advantages and disadvantages of each. The information was provided in a comfortable way that was easy to understand and allowed me to make an informed choice in proceeding with treatment. I highly recommend their services.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Wipf saw me promptly for an emergency evaluation. He very thoroughly examined me for the issue I went in for. Even though my tooth may have fractured and will likely need to be removed, he explained thoroughly what things “may” be needed even though he wouldn’t be doing any of the immediate treatments. So, clearly he is concerned with solving the patients issue and not with how much he can gain from the situation. Highly recommend for adult dentistry.

Fantastic experience: I must say my experience as a patient at this dentist office has been a such an amazing and positive one. From the time you walk through the door to the time you leave their thoroughness, professionalism, dedication and commitment and to their patients is truly amazing. I’m a local resident whose only experiences with a dentist has only been through the VA Healthcare system and although I am extremely grateful to receive great care through the VA system it does have its limitations. Being able to be seen at Erik Wipfs D.D.S. office has been a major plus in my life and I can say the lives of other veterans in my community. I know I speak for a lot of other veterans when I say we are so grateful to be able to receive such services and to be seen within our community for this type of care!!!! Dr Aielo welcome to the crew. You’ve got an amazing attitude and great sense of humor which for me is important. Gotta break the ice somehow especially when seeing the dentist.
