Negative experience: I’m honestly disappointed because the actual care I received was great. The hygienist was one of the first I’ve had who was extremely thorough without scratching up my gums, and I truly appreciated that. The dentist was also a Black, native to Victoria woman, which was a rare and beautiful experience for me. Unfortunately, my experience with the office’s handling of my insurance left a very different impression. I specifically did my research, checked my insurance directory, and called beforehand because I wanted to make sure I was choosing an in-network provider. I was given information that led me to believe I was covered, only to later be told that the location was out-of-network. What upset me most was the response afterward. Instead of acknowledging how easily a patient could misunderstand insurance terminology or trying to find a reasonable solution, I felt like the responsibility was placed entirely on me because I supposedly didn’t use the “right” wording when asking about being in-network. I was even told they encounter this confusion frequently. That’s where integrity and transparency matter. Not everyone understands insurance jargon, and patients shouldn’t have to be experts in networks, locations, and billing terminology just to make sure they aren’t unknowingly choosing an out-of-network provider. Had I known, I absolutely would have gone elsewhere. I’m especially disappointed because the clinical care itself was so good. I just wish the office had shown the same level of care and thoroughness when it came to communicating with patients about their financial responsibility.

Negative experience: Went to this dentist after not having gone in years since covid started. I was expecting some fillings, and they told me I needed 7. I then spent a year slowly getting those fillings done, each one leaving me with more tooth pain. When I went back, they would revise them, and the tooth pain persisted and added on with each filling. I recently went to another dentist to get a second opinion on why my teeth were hurting so badly, and they said the fillings were not even really necessary, and that they were not very well done. So I have wasted a year getting these fillings and spending all kinds of money, just to end up with pain.

Negative experience: Unless you have fantastic insurance don’t go here. I took my kids here and had the worst experience. For starters they said my son had way more cavities than the dentist I took him to for a second opinion! They also quoted me $600 to fix his cavities when another dentist quoted me $100. I got my daughter cavities filled here unfortunately and they also quoted me $600 but ended up charging more than 850! Shady business practices going on here. I would stay away.

I have an extreme fear of dentist and usually will not return a second time. However, Dr. Stafford and her team made me feel so safe and genuinely cared for that I left their office with a smile every time. I may still have a fear of dentist but I now have a sense of peace knowing Dr. Stafford and her team will make my comfort their top priority.

Fantastic experience: We are so happy we found Dr. Stafford's office. I’m a bit of a dentaphobe so when I went with a toothache, knowing it would have to pulled, tons of anxiety. She removed my tooth painlessly and it healed amazingly fast. Next visit was for periodontal cleaning, not fun! Jessica performed the procedure painlessly and was sensitive to my comfort level (both physical and emotional). We recommend this office
