Fantastic experience: On April 20, 2026, my regular six month check up went as prior checkups where the whole staff were very polite and attentive to my comfort. They were very thorough with respect to the cleaning and check up of my teeth and gums and answered any questions that I had. On April 7, 2025, I had a regular six month check up. The doctor and staff were very courteous and explained exactly what they were doing and made you feel comfortable. They were also very thorough with respect to the examination. On March 13, 2024, I had a regular six month check up. The cleaning and check up were very thorough and the whole staff was very polite. Also, Smalltown Dental was very instrumental in resolving an insurance issue in my favor. They went above and beyond in working with the insurance company to settle the claim. It is very much appreciated. I had a wisdom tooth pulled and it took less than a minute once the numbing of the area was complete and remarkably no pain during the procedure. Both Dr. Dutz and his assistant Lynn make you feel at ease and do whatever they can to reduce any pain (in this case to no pain). A wonderful job! On March 9, 2023, I had a regular six month check up. Dr. Flynn and the whole staff were very polite, attentive, and thorough. On October 15, 2025, I had a regular six month check up. As always, the whole staff were very polite and helpful, the examination and teeth cleaning, were very thorough.

Fantastic experience: I had to switch dentist offices due to my insurance . I had my first appointment today. This place reminds me of my former dentist office. The staff are very friendly , professional and welcoming. My cleaning went well. The hygienist did a great job cleaning my teeth and communicating with me about what to expect next before she performed the task. Staff did a great job explaining the breakdown of what my insurance paid. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

The front desk team is friendly, organized, and always accommodating with scheduling. Dr. Krisher is incredibly knowledgeable & gentle. My hygienist, Nikki and assistant Renee are also very knowledgeable and take the time to explain everything clearly so you feel comfortable and informed. Fantastic experience: Had my 6 months check up and cleaning and a procedure to slow down the decay near base of one crown. I was given a choice of 2 ways to handle it. The doctor was very good, patient, answered my questions, and explained what x-rays showed. I would recommend this dental office to anyone. I have found this kind of treatment is normal.

Fantastic experience: I’m a new patient. I hadn’t been to a dentist in years, until yesterday. I hadn’t been a bad toothache and my sister goes to Smalltown Dental in Tremont. She called them yesterday at 8am to see if I could get in before thanksgiving. I got an appointment for 9:30am the same day. I’m extremely impressed by the staff and doctor that treated me. They were very professional, polite and friendly. They answered all my questions and didn’t make me feel like I was wasting their time or like I’m ignorant. They gave me options and explained each one. The treatment I chose was done quickly and painlessly. Thank you for an excellent experience with a dental facility!

Fantastic experience: The dental hygienist, Nikki, is very pleasant and thorough. The front desk gal was pleasant as well. I briefly saw the dentist, Dr. Krisher. It was just an exam & cleaning this time, so he only needed to glance at my teeth & the x-rays, after Nikki was done with me. Nov. 13, 2025: I went in to have an old filling removed and cavity filled that was in under it. Everything went very well. I was in & out in less than 45 min. No waiting at all in the waiting room for my 4:00 pm app't! The front desk gals are exceptionally nice, and the Dental Assistant, Rene, was as sweet as pie. The dentist, Jacob Krisher, was very pleasant, and did a great job of getting my mouth numbed so I felt no pain. Thank you! I'll never enjoy the sound of the drill but who does?! LOL

Negative experience: Don't waste your money. I went in with a tooth ache and they did x-rays stated I needed a filling. After the filling I was still in pain the next few days, I made an appointment with another dentist. They took x-rays due to the bad quality of the ones taken at Small-town Dental, which the fought releasing. The new dentist stated that I had an infection in the tooth that Small-town had filled. Even the bad quality original xray showed the infection which Small-town didn't notice. I immediately called Small-town and told them I wasn't paying the patient balance $1.76 after insurance payment due to having to go to another dentist the same week, who actually treated the issue. They have continued to let the outstanding balance accumulate interest to this day. I just received a notice of collection for almost $80. They refused to write off the $1.26 each time I've called and disputed charges due to a lack of treatment for what I went in for. This has been going on for over a year now

Negative experience: $25 charge for calling to reschedule an appointment as my 7 year old child came home sick from school the day of my appointment and I had no available to watch a child with a 102 fever so I could come to my appointment. Paid it anyways and made another appointment, just my luck the same thing happened. It’s like they forget most people don’t know they’re sick until…you know…the day they get sick. I decided I’m just going to find a new private dentist. Such a shame what they’ve done to the place, miss when Dr Dutz was still around Sick of getting screwed by the corporation that is Smalltown Dental, their pediatric office in Morton is an even bigger scam. Don’t take your kids there unless you want to pay thousands for unnecessary dental work.

Fantastic experience: All these years going to the dentist been so scared because of the cleaning scraping the plaque off, tarter, food etc. I was so pleased and presently surprised in how gentle Nikki was on cleaning my teeth. She stopped, and asked if I was ok a few times because she cared about my sensitive teeth. I got a cool stainless steel tumbler with straw for a gift along with dental picks, floss, an ice scraper and a lip balm. So sweet. I told my husband when I got home. He will be switching to Smalltown dental on his next appointment. Also the costs of dental work is a lot more affordable then what I was paying at my old dentist. Negative experience: I didn't want to give You any stars but I had to so I could give You the rating. This was my first visit and it was a horrible one. I was even finished for the day and they gave me a sheet and said that was what I owed for the day. $1896.00 That evening my tongue started to hurt alot. It was swollen on the left side and had red vertical marks on the side. I couldn't chew anything. I lived in yogurt and instant breakfast. I couldn't call You because You were closed for 3 days. When I went back to get my crown on I told the doctor about it. He said that my tongue probably got too close to the equipment he was using and got burned. Someone was supposed to be watching out for that. I wasn't offered any compensation. I sure should have because I was having alot of pain. Unless I have a problem with this crown, I would never consider going back to Your office !

Fantastic experience: I had a molar extraction on Monday. There were fillings and the tooth had fissures. Dr Krisher explained that he would need to move slower to avoid breaking the tooth off during the extraction. However the numbing required extra injections along the way and the root was long but Dr Krisher kept at it and eventually was successful. He went above and beyond to keep the pain to a minimum.

Fantastic experience: Dr Jacob and his entire staff took excellent care of me and my husband. They were all very professional, explained all of our treatment options and when it came time for the procedures, it was virtually painless. If you are looking for a dentist for your family, I 10 out of 10 recommend Dr Jacob and his team at Smalltown Dental in Tremont, they make you feel very special and well cared for.
